Leckeres Essen, freundlicher Service, leider direkt an der Staße/ Baustelle, so dass manden Rhein nicht sehen kann

Leider sehr unfreundliche Bedienung... Getränke (Longdrinks) werden ohne Eiswürfel serviert. Auf Nachfrage erst erhalten. Mojito ohne Eiswürfel muss man erstmal schaffen. Gegessen haben wir nichts, deshalb kann ich dazu nichts sagen. Aufgrund des Service nicht empfehlenswert

Angenehme Atmosphäre, besonders draußen in den wärmeren Monaten. Die Biere sind in Ordnung, und das italienische Essen passt zu dem Umstand, dass man sich nicht in Italien befindet. Die Pizza ist okay. Nur eins: Hühnchen auf Pizza und Pasta geht gar nicht! Man merkt, dass es auf die lokale Kundschaft zugeschnitten wurde, rein aus geschäftlichen Gründen, aber es klingt seltsam für ein italienisches Restaurant. Der Service ist etwas langsam…

Das Lokal ist echt eine Empfehlung und alle Sterne wert. Super freundliche Leute und eine der besten Pizza die ich je gegessen habe. Da freut man sich auf den nächsten Besuch.

Gehobene italienische Küche mit schönem Ambiente.

Da wir im Hey Lou Hotel wohnten, konnten wir abends ganz einfach im Restaurant gegenüber essen gehen. Das Restaurant hat eine schöne Außenterrasse und bietet auch drinnen mehr als genug Sitzplätze. Wir bestellten verschiedene Gerichte, von Pizza über Pasta bis hin zu Suppe. Alles war super lecker und frisch und preiswert. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben das Essen dort sehr genossen. Absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die im Hey Lou Hotel übernachten.

Das Essen war lecker ich hatte eine Tonno Pizza, die geschmacklich echt gut war und auch von der Größe völlig okay. Mein Kollege hatte Penne mit Gorgonzola bestellt. Der Kellner musste erstmal nachfragen, ob das überhaupt möglich ist. Nachdem gesagt wurde, dass es geht, bekam er am Ende trotzdem einfach Penne mit Sahnesoße serviert. Das war leider eine glatte 6. Zusätzlich war meine Gabel total dreckig, sodass ich erst nach sauberem Besteck fragen musste. Auch die Toiletten waren sehr unsauber. Wir waren sogar die ersten Gäste des Tages und dafür war der Zustand wirklich enttäuschend. Schade, denn das Essen hatte eigentlich Potenzial, aber beim Service und der Sauberkeit besteht definitiv Verbesserungsbedarf.

Wir waren schon einige Male privat vor Ort und nun auch geschäftlich und sind durch und durch zufrieden! Wir hatten einen tollen Abend mit leckerem Essen begleitet von sehr zuvorkommenden und freundlichen Servicekräften! Sonderwünsche wurden herzlichst entgegengenommen und umgesetzt. Das Restaurant hat uns bei der Dekoration und der Gestaltung des Abends sehr geholfen. Wir freuen uns schon auf die nächste Firmenfeier! Herzlichen Dank für den tollen Abend und die Organisation🙏🏼☺️

Gebucht auf Wunsch von Freunden, obwohl meine erste (und auch letzte) Erfahrung nicht meinen Erwartungen entsprach: Damals bestellte Pizza war zwar gross aber viel unbelegter Teigrand, auch recht verkohlt und sehr fettig. Der Lärmpegel war so hoch, dass eine Unterhaltung nur mit lauter Stimme möglich war. Die Einrichtung ist praktisch aber nicht gemütlich. Meine Erfahrung heute: Tisch bestellt mit Bitte um Platz in einer Ecke, weil wir mit Hund kommen. Reservierung akzeptiert ("freuen uns auf ihren Besuch blablabla"). Bei Ankunft hiess es dann "keine Hunde erlaubt, nur draußen und auf Reservierung steht nichts von Hund". Nun ja, Gott sei Dank gibt es viele bessere Alternativen an Restaurants in Monheim.

Ein wunderschöner Italiener mit Sicht auf den Rhein. Bei unserem Aufenthalt in Monheim am Rhein, waren wir einmal mit einer großen Gruppe dort und hinterher , weil uns das Essen so gut gefallen hat , zu Zweit. Sowohl die große Gruppe , als auch zu Zweit haben wir uns als Gast gefühlt, der sehr freundlich und gut umsorgt wurde. Das Essen sowohl die Nudeln, als auch die Pizza ganz wunderbar. Vorspeisenteller super lecker und für jeden was dabei. Wenn ich in Monheim bin , würde ich da immer wieder hingehen.

Es gab nur zwei Kellner für den ganzen Bereich. Wir mussten über eine Stunde warten, um etwas bestellen zu können. Alles ging sehr langsam. Das Essen war ok. Man muß sehr viel Zeit mitbringen um dort essen zu können.

Unglaublich langsamer Service. Nachdem man über eine Stunde warten muss, um zu bestellen, dauert eine einfache Pizza dann noch einmal mehr als eine Stunde. Ob die Pizza gut oder schlecht ist, kann ich nicht sagen, da ich die Pizza storniert habe.

Zum Mittag dort gewesen. 2 Personen hatte Pizza, die anderen beiden Nudeln und Salat. Pizza konnte man gut essen, war aber leider sehr fettig. Die Nudeln (Fussili con Pollo) haben an sich von den Nudeln und der Soße gepasst. Jedoch war das darin enthaltende Hähnchen ungenießbar. Bei dem Hähnchen handelte es sich um vorgegartes gekauftes Formfleisch, vergleichbar mit dem was in einem Supermarkt Salat enthalten ist. Genau das gleiche war auch auf dem Caeser Salat. Bei Nudeln mit Soße und Hähnchen bei einem Preis von 19€ erwartet man ja wohl wenigstens frisches Hähnchenfleisch. Auch der Salat hatte mehr als Salatblätter und Croutons nichts vorzuweisen. Nun kommen wir zum Service. Der zuständige Servicemitarbeiter war leider sehr desinteressiert von Beginn an und hat sich während des ganzes Aufenthaltes mit dem Rücken zu den Gästen gesetzt und sich unterhalten. Sodass wir am Ende beim bezahlen ihn lautstark rufen mussten, weil gesehen hätte er uns sowieso nicht. Am Ende versuchte ich das Hähnchen Thema anzusprechen, leider konnte der Kellner es nicht wirklich verstehen und ging wieder um die Rechnung zu holen. Leider sehr enttäuschender Besuch.

Es war wirklich toll. Leckeres Essen und ein netter Kellner.

Service etwas langsam weil nicht genug leute gabt

Wir waren mit 15 Leuten hier essen. Vom Service bis hin zum essen war alles bestens. 100% weiterempfohlung 👍

Wir waren mit 2 Personen spontan am Sonntag Abend dort. Positiv- es gibt im Raum Monheim/Langenfeld kaum Italiener, die Sonntags auf haben, daher Pluspunkt. Was mir aufgefallen ist - das Personal, wir wurden von 2 unterschiedlichen Servicekräften bedient, beide Herren versprühten den Eindruck - wann ist endlich Feierabend…nach der Bestellung lief es dann gut, die bestellten Getränke incl. einer Vorspeise aufs Haus (Brot, Olivenöl, Oliven) waren zügig da. Die Partnerin bestellte Penne Bolognose, ich Spaghetti mit Gambas in einer Hummersauce. Mein Gericht war vom Preis/Leistungsverhältnis passend, die Bolognese war laut Partnerin fade und ohne jegliche besondere Geschmacksrichtung. Ehrlicherweise muss ich sagen, dass ich mich nicht besonders wohl gefühlt habe mit dem Personal, war nur ein Gefühl, mögen andere auch anders sehen. Mir fehlte die oft gerade in der Vergangenheit bei Italienischen Restaurants erfahrene Herzlichkeit, aber das ist vielleicht klagen auf hohem Niveau. Fazit- ich kenne im Umfeld bessere Italiener, schade eigentlich….

Spontanbesuch an unserem Hochzeitstag. Haben spitzenmäßig gespeist (Doradenfilet, Linguine mit Meeresfrüchten und zum Schluss ein Scholoküchlein mit Eis). War unser erster, bestimmt aber nicht der letzte Besuch.

Hatte Pizza Calzone - da gehört keine Zwiebel drauf und es fehlt an Geschmack. Eine kräftige Salami, geschmackvolle Tomatensauce und ein paar Champions wären gut gewesen. Allgemein etwas enttäuschent.

I recommend this place to anyone who wants to eat well and be well looked after. With views of the Rhein River.

Very tasty and classy Italian restaurant.

We ate here two nights. Delicious olives and warm bread as an appetizer. Spicy spaghetti with garlic the first night, and a delicious large sirloin steak with gorgonzola sauce the second. A nice cup of espresso to finish. Very good value for money, and the staff were friendly. The music was sometimes a bit loud and the ceilings were high, so the sound was a bit hollow.

We were here for dinner; the pizza was very good, as was the wine. The service was excellent.

The food is delicious and offers excellent value for money. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming. The terrace has a holiday feel. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Highly recommended. 👍

Thirty minutes after eating my tuna pizza at this restaurant, I had to go to the hospital (acute histamine poisoning). Best wishes to anyone who wants to "dine" here. Once and never again. PS: There was also no service.

On a trip to cologne in 2024, the staff here were amazing. Friendly and accommodating to my last minute orders after arriving back after a long day out. Great portion sizes for the price and food tasted great. If I am ever in the area, will definitely be back.

We went there twice for dinner. The first time, everything was fine; the second time, we ordered, among other things, ravioli al pomodoro. The plate felt like an appetizer. It was by far the smallest portion we've had in a restaurant in a long time. Otherwise, the restaurant is quite pleasant. The only thing that bothers us is the construction site right in front of us. But hopefully, that will soon be history.

We have visited Fiume at least 5 times.The pizza bread donation, & green olives is absolutely delicious, but do add some olive oil. The rump steak was succulent and very tasty and the veggies was a great portion. Known for their pizza, but I would recommend the steak.Friendly staff and attentive waiter. Coffee tasty, but very strong.

Great food, very friendly staff, and a wonderful atmosphere. Five of us were there and had all three courses plus drinks. We paid just over €200, which was excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

The food was excellent. We both enjoyed the pizza and lasagna we ordered and they were beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated. The only drawback is the outdoor seating. It's located on the Rhine, but the street is right next to it. The service was also very friendly. The only downside was that all the guests asked the waitress for a nightcap on the house, but they didn't ask us.

Staff very friendly but completely overwhelmed. The table wasn't clean. After the third salt mill, we had salt. The food arrived and still no drink. All the plates were touched, and the cutlery still had water stains and dings. Too bad... The food was okay...

What a wonderful experience. PRIMITIVO italian red wine is excellent, the sea food soup is delicious, salmon and pasta are very good. The service like a fancy restaurant and prices are reasonable. I do definitely recommend this place when you are in this area. Try to go in a sunny day and seats outside at the terrace.

Cozy restaurant with delicious food! A wide selection for both vegetarian and meat lovers. They also have an extensive drinks menu. I had a mocktail (perfect), but unfortunately, my friend's beer was lukewarm. Otherwise, a great restaurant!

Three of us were here last night. We didn't have a reservation, but that wasn't a problem. We were able to sit outside on the terrace. It was really nice. The servers were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, and the portions were very reasonably priced. The three of us paid just under €65, including tip, for drinks and three pizzas. We'll definitely be back.

Good Italian with a wide variety of authentic Italian dishes

The food was great, but priced on the higher end. We sat outside facing the street, so the car posers were a bit of a nuisance.

Yesterday, very disappointing. We waited 1.5 hours for our food (4 people). The spaghetti with pesto and burrata was not tasty at all. There was hardly any pesto, but the spaghetti was drowned in cream. The pizzas were uninspiring, and the salami was the cheapest. The service was overwhelmed, and the kitchen was obviously overwhelmed too. What a shame! Conclusion: too expensive for such poor quality!

We had lasagna and fusilli con pollo. The lasagna was piping hot on the outside but unfortunately still cold on the inside and didn't taste fresh. The chicken strips advertised with the pasta were also just dry chicken pieces and tasted of nothing. The appetizers were okay, but on the high end and not worth the price. No need to repeat.

If you're looking for a delicious meal, this is the place! The pasta dishes were well-seasoned and the portions were quite large. The pizza was also very popular. If there had been more staff, we would have had more drinks, but they were very friendly, but unfortunately overwhelmed by the full house. We think we'll go back.

Yesterday we had dinner in a cozy little group. We sat inside and at the table that had already been set, unfortunately it wasn't that clean. From crumbs on the plate or the water glasses that weren't really cleaned (which luckily was noticed when the drinks were brought). We all really enjoyed the bread and olives that had been brought beforehand. We ordered pasta, antipasti and pizza. The food was very tasty, only the antipaste could have been a little more full for the price. Overall, we still liked it. The restaurant stands out not only because of the beautiful ambience, but also because of the very stylish and modern interior design. All the waiters were very polite and courteous.

We were there with 4 people on Sunday afternoon. Very nice and clean atmosphere, if you sit outside you have a nice view directly to the Rhine even though there is a road in between, I thought that was great. The menu doesn't have that much choice and in the end we all decided on pizza. The drinks were chilled just right and arrived promptly. At the beginning you are automatically served olives and bread with a touch of olive oil on the crust. The pizzas were visually great, hot 🔥, baked to perfection and tasted very good. The pizza dough was very digestible and didn't make you feel so sluggish. The only thing I didn't like was when my beer🍺 drink was empty, I had to look around where the waiter was to order more, but maybe I just drank too quickly 😋. Otherwise the service was very friendly and okay. Toilets were very clean. Prices are a bit high, but understandable considering the location and ambience.

Ate delicious penne in tomato sauce - a good portion to fill you up, but unfortunately I ordered penne arrabbiata, a typical Italian dish that Google describes like this: “Arrabbiata sauce, called arrabbiata in Italian, is a spicy sauce made from tomatoes, garlic, pepperoncino, parsley and extra virgin olive oil” When asked where the flavor had gone, it was explained that the dish had been adapted to German standards and that some ingredients had been omitted. The bread that was served was very tasty, upon request there was also pepper and salt, as well as olive oil, balsamic vinegar was not available. In the evening the second attempt was made, a glass of Montepulciano red wine was served warm in a summery goblet, the following glass came at the same body temperature, just from a different bottle with a completely different aroma. This performance is not justified by the location on the Rhine with a view of the distant industrial buildings in Sundown.

I was there alone. First and last time. Drink menu brought instead of menu. Oh well. When bread was first served, bread was brought from the previous person, it was still dipped in olive oil. There are other excellent Italian restaurants in the city, for example in the Achat Hotel.

Very attentive service - my "Antipasti" and "Tortellini Gorgonzola" were really very good. The restaurant is busy, which may be due to its proximity to the Comfort / Styles / Hey Lou Hotel (yes, the hotel changes its name ALMOST as often as I change my underpants ;-)). Back to the restaurant: On the one hand, the fact that it is busy is a very good sign ;-) On the other hand, I would recommend that you make a reservation - especially in rainy weather when all guests are sitting in the room. It's definitely nicer outside - you're sitting very close to the Rhine - and if you like well-visited places, you'll get your money's worth here. All in all a good place to go out for dinner in Monheim...

Das (vermutlich) an sich schön gelegene Restaurant mit großer Außenterrasse erfährt aufgrund der lang anhaltenden Kanalbauarbeiten zwar "Verkehrsentlastung" (Einbahnstraße in eine Richtung), sieht sich aber seiner guten Aussicht zum Rhein beraubt, da anstelle eines Rheinblicks nur der Blick auf Sand- und Kieshügel gewährt wird. Pizza Formaggi für 15,50 Euro und Rigatoni Tartufo für 21,50 Euro - das sind jetzt keine günstigen Preise, aber man hat sich an dieses Preisniveau inzwischen ja gewöhnt - die Qualität und die Portionsgrößen waren ok.

Unfortunately we were given the wrong starter and the waiting time was very long. We had to wait 1h30 for our starter. The ambience was very, very loud. Communication was hardly possible. We would probably still be waiting for the Fanta if we hadn't paid.

Very cozy Italian restaurant. Except for the high temperature of the place. I ordered antipasto starters and rigatoni with mushroom and meat sauce. Very good although some pieces of meat were very dry.

The pasta portion was really very modest, I didn't get full. And at proud prices! If the waiter doesn't speak Italian, quite inappropriate for an Italian restaurant. Dogs are not allowed in. No thanks, not a second time.

I ate here for the first time on a Monday evening to celebrate a birthday with my three children (9, 12, 17). Currently, due to the nearby construction site, getting there, finding a parking space and the ambience of the outdoor area are not perfect, but I took the circumstances into account in my assessment. A negative assessment due to the construction site simply would not do justice to the fabulous location directly on the Monheim Rhine promenade and the design of the Rhine Park. In addition to the beautiful outdoor area, the stylish design of the guest room is also impressive. Modern Italian music was playing in the background at a pleasant volume. I was surprised by the prices on the extensive menu. Despite the appearance of a high-class restaurant, the prices were quite moderate. Nevertheless, the quality of the food was excellent and everyone was very satisfied with the food. I would also like to mention the good service. The employees were very friendly, but unfortunately the waiter assigned to us rarely made eye contact or asked for further requests. But this was noticed by another employee who immediately jumped in and looked after us. Overall it was a really great evening, the kids were also thrilled and would like to visit again.

Update 122024: (too expensive for what is offered) With 4 people we had 3 x pizza and 1 x pasta. Mixed starter too. Everything tasted good, the type of pasta was also good. But a starter for two people costs just under 40 euros, which is brutal for what was on offer. Mostly vegetables. Unfortunately, the veal in the vitello was well done, it should have been pink. Pasta with seafood costs just under 23 euros, the pizzas average 16-17 euros, amazing prices. It's definitely not a noble Italian, inflation has probably run rampant. I thought it was great that the remaining pizza could be taken away in a stylish packaging. The decor is chic and the toilets are clean. 2021: Ordered macaroni and tagliatelle, Get rigatoni and linguine! In an Italian Noodle restaurant (that's what the young waiter advertised) you should be able to tell the types apart. The Maccheroni Vitello (14.50 Eur) were very intense (Genovese style?) with finely chopped Ossobuco di Manzo (not Vitello!). The tagliatelle vegano (12.50 euros) with spinach and mushrooms were very weak. It wasn't just salt that was missing. Sorry, but that was a miss. The antipasti Gallodini (19.00 euros for almost only vegetables) were ok. I have a lot of options for comparison and I'm disappointed.

We ate there with friends yesterday and absolutely loved it. The food and also the dessert were absolutely great. The waiters were very friendly, but they could have been a little more attentive with the drinks. Otherwise it was a successful and happy evening.

I ate gluten-free pasta with Bolognese, I can highly recommend it and would happily do so again. I was also very pleasantly surprised when the waiter brought me gluten-free bread to go with the olives before I ate...

Delicious food with lots of taste! Large portions, we are reminded of Italy. Our favorite pizza in Monheim. Pasta and appetizers also delicious. Prices are a little higher, but there are generous positions and a view of the Rhine. We'd love to come. Picking up is also possible.

Very good restaurant, despite the high rush, the waiters took time for us, the food was, as always, very tasty and you feel very well taken care of and welcome every time!

Second time that I visit this restaurant (only option close to my hotel) and again the staff was so unfriendly. The manager just doesn’t talk to you and makes no eye contact. They give you the feeling that you are unwanted. This was my last time. Btw the food was good.

The food was again very good. Unfortunately the service is again not at the same level. Multiple requests, waited more than 30 minutes for bread and water.

We went to Fiume for dinner for the first time. The “direct” location on the Rhine is very beautiful and the ambience is upscale. The food was rather average and for our taste, it's not worth visiting again! We might have given the restaurant a second chance, but unfortunately the poor service underpinned our decision!

Excellent food and drink. A simple pizza Margaritha prepared in a very tasty way. Really delicious. Food came quickly and staff were friendly.

It's been a very, very long time since I've eaten so well and felt cared for. Great restaurant right near the Rhine. I can recommend... lobster cream soup and the homemade bread. Thank you and see you next time.

Very good Italian with a clear menu. Service was a bit slow. Since he was alone, he was also a bit stressed.

Unfortunately, less good experience. Been there today. Were ignored upon entry. Finally we sat down at a free table for 2. The table was not clean, but we expected someone to come and clean it. After about 5 minutes, 2 menus were placed on the corner of the table. However, still no word had been spoken. After fifteen minutes, I'm guessing the owner, came to us and took our order. He took the bowl of parmesan cheese, which was already there, and the menus, but that was it. Our drinks lasted quite a while. The beer was placed on a felt. My cocktail unfortunately did not have a felt, nor a straw, nor anything you expect with a cocktail. No food after an hour. I have now gone to the toilet. No toilet paper for the ladies. No soap. No hand towels. Fortunately, the men do. So I could make do. With a bit of luck I could arrange another 2 drinks. It takes effort, but eventually they will see you. An hour and a half after ordering, still no food. Finally someone came to our table and asked if we wanted to order some ice cream. They forgot our pizzas 😂😂. Fifteen minutes later we finally ate. My friend loved the pizza. Mine was less, but to be honest, I didn't feel like it either. When paying, the cash register was also broken. So all in all, never again Fiume for me. Disgrace!

Nice spot for a comforting plate of pasta with a nice glass of wine and a piping hot cup of coffee. The portions are large, the service is very nice and the atmosphere, especially on the terrace, is casual and relaxed. Under 10 euros, you must pay in cash.

Perfect fillet steak with great wine (Lugano) and friendly service 👍 The tiramisu is really to die for.

The pizza we ordered was very good. I preferred to take her with me. But you should make a reservation if you want to eat on site. It was super full.

Chic restaurant, friendly service. Unfortunately, the dishes weren't convincing, which we also told the waiter, his answer was "sorry, but the chef wouldn't be there today". It's a shame, because we really liked the restaurant, I won't risk another €100 (2 people).
