Ausgezeichnetes Essen! Sehr zu empfehlen!

Bewertung: Gute Qualität, aber enttäuschende Portionsgröße Ich war kürzlich im Casa Luigi in Monheim zu Gast und bin leider mit gemischten Gefühlen aus dem Restaurant gegangen. Positiv hervorzuheben ist zunächst das Rumpsteak (250g), das geschmacklich wirklich überzeugend und gut zubereitet war. Leider entsprach die Beilage dazu in keinster Weise einem angemessenen Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Zu dem Steak gab es lediglich eine sehr überschaubare Menge Gemüse und das ist keine Übertreibung, genau sechs Kartoffelecken. Von einer Hauptspeise in dieser Preisklasse erwarte ich definitiv, dass man danach gesättigt ist. Leider war das hier absolut nicht der Fall, sodass wir nach dem Besuch tatsächlich noch eine weitere Mahlzeit außerhalb zu uns nehmen mussten. Besonders schade fand ich den Umgang mit meinem Feedback vor Ort: Als ich den Kellner höflich darauf ansprach, dass die Portionen sehr klein ausfallen und wir nicht satt geworden sind, wurde dies lediglich mit dem Kommentar abgetan, dass dies die „normalen Portionen“ seien. Ein wenig mehr Verständnis oder ein entgegenkommender Vorschlag für eine solche Kritik hätten mir als Gast ein besseres Gefühl gegeben. Aufgrund der geschmacklichen Qualität des Fleisches vergebe ich 2 Sterne, allerdings trübt die knappe Portionierung und die mangelnde Service-Reaktion das Gesamterlebnis leider sehr. Schade, hier hätte ich mir deutlich mehr erwartet.

Bester Italiener im Umfeld. Wir haben hier gigantisch lecker gegessen. Die italienische Familie kocht super fein und umsorgt die Gäste mit einem diskreten sehr guten Service. Ein echtes Highlight!

Ein hervorragendes italienisches Restaurant in Monheim am Rhein, direkt neben dem Hotel Achat. Es besteht seit über 20 Jahren. Die Speisen sind frisch und sorgfältig zubereitet, mit italienischen Zutaten höchster Qualität. Ich träume noch immer von meinen Spaghetti mit Tintenfischtinte. Ich hoffe, bald wiederzukommen.

Absolut empfehlenswert. Wir kommen vom linken Niederrhein und sind eher zufällig zu Gast gewesen. Eine Perle habt ihr da in Monheim! Speisen, Service, Ambiente, alles absolut Klasse. Wir werden den Weg gerne bei Gelegenheit wieder in Kauf nehmen und euch besuchen. Liebe Grüße

Sehr schön und sehr lecker war es hier - mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Sowohl die Vorspeise als auch die Hauptgerichte und der Wein waren vorzüglich und mit Liebe zubereitet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen mit Sicherheit wieder. DANKE!

Ein außergewöhnliches kulinarisches Erlebnis in Düsseldorf. Luigi, der Inhaber, ist herzlich und zuvorkommend und sorgt dafür, dass man sich vom ersten Moment an wie zu Hause fühlt. Die Pasta ist hervorragend, mit Abstand eine der besten, die ich je gegessen habe – perfekt zubereitet und voller Geschmack. Auch der Hauswein ist sehr zu empfehlen und harmoniert wunderbar mit dem Essen. Wer authentische italienische Küche mit Herz und Qualität sucht, ist hier genau richtig.

Wenn du einen Lieblingsitaliener suchst, hast du ihn hier gefunden. Versprochen. Schade das man hier nur 5 Sternen geben kann, so ein freundliches Personal habe ich noch nie erlebt, so herzlich und familiär hat man es nirgends. Ab der ersten Sekunde fühlt man sich wohl. Immer wieder gern. Und jeder der über den Preis meckert, hat von Geschmack keine Ahnung. So viele Tiramisu gegessen und kann mit bestem Gewissen sagen Das ist das beste. Immer wieder gerne.

Ein perfektes Restaurant, um italienisches Familiengefühl zu erleben. Das Essen war fantastisch, ich hatte Tomatensuppe und Pasta Bolognese. Die Suppe war frisch, sämig und wirklich lecker, und die Pasta (Mamma Mia!) war auch gut. Der Service war herzlich und freundlich. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause. Wir haben dieses Restaurant zum erstmal besucht und waren enttäuscht. Obwohl wir die ersten Gäste waren, haben wir 20min auf die Bedienung gewartet. Das Brot (Gruß aus der Küche) kam erst mit der Vorspeise. Die Pizza war ok. Bei der Penne waren statt Lachsstreifen nur kleine Lachsstücke enthalten, welche man suchen musste. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis passt überhaupt nicht. Die Einrichtung ist Geschmacksache. Bei einer Beleuchtung, bei der sich ständig die Farben ändern, kommt allerdings mehr Kirmes- Atmosphäre als Restaurant -Feeling rüber. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen.

Wir waren das erste Mal in diesem Restaurant und waren wirklich enttäuscht. Wir haben einen Salat und Pasta mit Rindfleischstreifen bestellt. Auf dem Salat wie auch auf der Pasta musste man den Thunfisch bzw. die Rindfleischstreifen (es waren Mini Stückchen), suchen. Die Portionen reichen nicht um auch nur naheliegend satt zu werden. Der Geschmack ließ auch zu wünschen übrig. Preis/ Leistung hier absolut nicht gegeben. Nun zum Service. Nachdem wir 20 min. gesessen haben, kam die Bedienung und unser erstes Getränk (obwohl zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nichts los war). Das Essen ließ auch auf sich warten. Die Ausstattung ist Geschmacksache, unsere war es nicht. Fazit: Wir sind hungrig nach Hause gefahren und das mit 50 Euro weniger in der Tasche. Dieses Lokal wird definitiv von uns nicht weiterempfohlen. Sehr Schade, den bei einem Familien Betrieb geht man davon aus, daß da auch noch Herzblut drin steckt. Leider war davon nichts zu bemerken.

Das Essen war wie gewohnt hervorragend und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Ich hatte das Rumsteak mit Pasta – ein absoluter Traum für jeden Fleischliebhaber!

Völlig überteuerter Salat aus der Tüte mit trockener Perlhuhnbrust, der absolut nicht in einem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stand.

We had to come all the way from Bochum to find our favorite Italian restaurant! I've rarely eaten so incredibly well! The service was quick, unobtrusive, and very, very friendly. The atmosphere was pleasant, and despite the tables being full, it was still quite quiet. I opted for a slightly more expensive meal (and didn't regret it), while my husband had soup and pasta. There's something for every budget! This restaurant is simply the best in my book!

We had to wait 1.5 hours for our food even though there were only 8 guests in the restaurant, and even the salad had no seasoning; everything was unappetizing.

First, we were offered an "Aperitivo della casa" by an older woman, which then showed up on the bill for €15. The lasagna was tasteless and burnt, though you could definitely taste it 😔. A no-go for us, and never again. Perhaps they picked a bad day...

A perfect evening! This insider tip isn't really worth sharing, but it's a must-have! A complete, worry-free package with super friendly service staff, waiters, and chefs, plus delicious food. We'll definitely be back! That's a promise :)

A very nicely decorated little restaurant with a home-like feel. The pizza was unfortunately rather average. The pizza dough was very hard. The portion size was also rather small. For the higher price, there could have been a bit more. Service was good.

We recently ate here because of the good reviews. But we're really wondering how it got such a good rating. The food (pizza & pasta) arrived lukewarm to cold, and the portions were meager. So, we weren't filled. Both the pizza and the pasta dish tasted OK, but nothing more. However, the price was very high... The service itself was good. You can't complain. So, all in all, we unfortunately wouldn't come here again.

The carpaccio with arugula and the homemade pasta filled with salmon in a light cream sauce were excellent. The drinks were also well worth the price, and I enjoyed the ambiance. Only the otherwise pleasant service was a bit taciturn, and the wait for the bill when the restaurant was not busy was a bit annoying. Nevertheless, I definitely recommend it.

The receptionist at the Achat Hotel, located in the same building, recommended this restaurant to us. We weren't particularly impressed. The ambiance outside was plain and unloving, while inside it was a bit more appealing, but the weather was too warm for that. The waiters were unmotivated and taciturn. Our question as to why the "Luigi Junior" pizza had that name was answered with "That's just what it's called!" Ah yes. Too bad. We suspected there was a nice story behind it, along with "the heir's favorite pizza" or something like that. We ordered it anyway, along with rump steak with rosemary potatoes. The steak was tasty and tender, but unfortunately overcooked, the potato and vegetable portion (a few carrot strips and 4 snow peas) was rather limited, and the pizza was bland. "Culinary perfection" and "one of the most popular and cozy restaurants in Monheim," as the website advertises, unfortunately, wasn't worth repeating. Monheim has much better to offer.

As an Italian who recently moved to Germany, I felt at home. Everyone was very friendly. Italian staff and non-touristy menu. Recommended

Four of us were guests on the terrace on a Tuesday evening. I'll say it right away - it was a 5/5. The food (pizza, pasta, fish, and meat were all there) was excellent. The prices were reasonable and fair! But the best part of all was the service. So attentive. We completely lost track of time and suddenly it was 12:30 AM (official opening hours are until 11:00 PM!!). Nevertheless, they simply politely asked if we could settle the bill. They even had the schnapps on the house! I was almost uncomfortable, but I would like to express my sincere gratitude for this hospitality! I will recommend you wherever I can! Best regards

We ate there yesterday as a family, 4 adults. We had reserved the table 3 days in advance because we had theater tickets and the Ressurant was right around the corner. Our reservation was nowhere to be found (although I was even called back to confirm the table) The music was quite loud in the restaurant. And the first impression in the entrance was messy - there were a lot of different wine boxes piled up there. The service was friendly. However, uncoordinated and not very attentive. The food was average, but quite expensive.

The staff is very friendly! We ordered 3 pizzas as well as fresh pasta. Everything was very good, the prices were reasonable! Good little Italian restaurant right next to the hotel, literally next door. Good experience 🙂

5 stars – A culinary highlight in Monheim! An absolute must for all lovers of Italian cuisine! Even the starter was a dream – fresh, cleverly prepared and tasted to the point. For the main course I had the vegetarian pasta with truffles - a poem! The pasta was perfectly al dente, the truffle note was wonderfully aromatic and not too overpowering. The crowning finale was the homemade tiramisu, which was simply heavenly with its creamy consistency and finely balanced espresso aroma. Casa Luigi impresses not only with its excellent food, but also with its attentive service and a cozy atmosphere. Clear recommendation – I’ll definitely be back!

Went there for the first time today. First impression was very good. Wine also very tasty. Ordered pizza. This came after approx. 40 minutes. A pizza completely wrong. When we pointed it out. The answer was: it doesn't matter with a laugh. we accepted it like that. But apart from that, the pizza was unfortunately not good at all. We paid the full price. Very unfortunate!

I ate at this restaurant about two weeks ago. Original Italian food with some special recipes, excellent cellar and welcoming environment. Super top

We had not made a reservation, but we were asked if we could come back after 20 minutes because then there would be room for 2. No sooner said than done, but we waited here for another 30 minutes. This can happen because you know it is an estimate so no problem. But once we got to a table we waited a long time before someone rattled off a list of pasta options and walked away. After another fifteen minutes of waiting, another man came to ask if we still hadn't ordered and was surprised that this turned out not to be the case and immediately took action and gave us the menu and asked if we wanted something to drink. After another wait, our order was taken and we were finally eating just before 10:00 PM. The fact that there is no room immediately if you have not made a reservation is really not a problem, but if you are actually ignored at the table and therefore almost get up to leave says a lot. It's a shame that we experienced it this way because the food was really tasty.

Attractive cuisine, nice but a bit fussy staff, hence a star deduction. In addition to the meal, ordered parmesan, "coming immediately", but it didn't come, later ordered espresso, "coming immediately", but didn't come. The espresso only arrived with the (later) ordered bill, with a charge of course... Update 11.2024: no complaints, everything good, highly recommended 👍

Casa Luigi is always an experience if, for example, you want to treat yourself to a successful evening with delicious food and a family atmosphere or enjoy Italian cuisine with friends. The service is very attentive; You almost feel like part of the family, so that when you leave the restaurant you decide to definitely come back, which we have already done several times! Thanks to the operating crew!

Even searching for the restaurant was difficult because I didn't know that it belonged to/in the Achat Hotel. Ambience is nice. Food tasty. Portions are clearly too small. I was surprised that my mother had ordered 2 starters (she had eaten here several times and knew what was coming). In my opinion, price-performance doesn't fit. There is no “star” that would justify the price. Service friendly, but neither attentive nor quick. All three, mother and both sons, were shaking as they poured the drinks. Bread and aioli only came after an hour after asking, the main course after 2 hours. In my opinion that doesn't work at all. If only a “greeting from the kitchen” had come to bridge the long waiting time. In between, guests kept coming in to pick up the pizzas they had ordered, which then stood in the hallway and disrupted the atmosphere. That will also be the reason that the kitchen was overwhelmed. In addition to the normal restaurant operations, the external pizzas and even orders from guests from the hotel are obviously too much. Conclusion: Everyone went home “hungry”.

10/10 everything is right down to the smallest detail, food quality comparable to Italy, great service and homely atmosphere and top cleanliness. Saluti Eros Cuffaro

Restaurant is located directly in/next to a hotel. Small and quaint. Waiters are nice, but sometimes I don't think they're that attentive. I found the waiting time for the food to be a bit too long (approx. 45 minutes). Beef fillet was great, noodles too. However, it was a mini portion. Brussels sprouts were still cold, I've eaten carpaccio better. Conclusion: Mostly tasty, but small portions. Overall, the food doesn't justify the higher price everywhere.

We sat in the outdoor restaurant and it was very nice. The service could be improved, the waiter was nice but very slow. Unfortunately we had to wait over 1 hour for our food. The food was ok, unfortunately the pizza wasn't quite cooked through and the cannelloni was unfortunately a very small portion, but tasted very tasty. The pasta with turkey breast was delicious and is recommended. We wouldn't come back because of the service.

Extraordinary restaurant. We ate pasta with truffle and beef cheek. None of the dishes were on the menu, but they were suggested on the black boards on the walls. Both dishes were delicious. The service was very friendly and the restaurant is very welcoming. Fair prices for the quality and quantity of food. I highly recommend it!

We stayed at the Achat Hotel for 4 days and became aware of Casa Luigi. We went there twice for dinner. We were warmly welcomed and looked after. The Fantasia salad was extra class😋😋😋 and that was just one dish we ate. It was a culinary delight. We can highly recommend this restaurant. We would be happy to come back on our next visit.

Take pizzas there from time to time. These are always extremely good and the best you can get in Monheim (as far as I know). When you order by phone and show up at the agreed time, chaos often breaks out for a moment. But the Parma ham is then cut with a lot of care and love and placed on the pizza/ruccola. Thanks

My husband and I were able to get to know this restaurant thanks to a voucher and are absolutely thrilled. Because there are real Italians in the kitchen here, you literally get a little holiday flair served on your plate. The service was top: attentive but not intrusive and super friendly. We will be back definitely.

I gave my boyfriend a three-course meal at Casa Luigi for Valentine's Day. The ambience was nice, the service was friendly and the food tasted good. However, the portions were so small that even though we weren't completely hungry, we didn't feel full. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit here.

We were in Monheim in November for a Monday and our hotel was the ACHAT, where the restaurant was right next door Casa Luigi is. We ate there every evening and the food was perfect every time! The service and the owners are also very friendly, if we are in Monheim again we would be happy to come back! By the way, the “Europe” pizza is delicious! Many greetings from Metallbau Lucaßen. :)

Unassuming but great restaurant. The look from the outside makes it hard to expect that there is a nice Italian restaurant hidden here. The pasta dishes are precisely prepared, unadorned but very tasty. The starters are selected and of high quality, the Zabaione for dessert was the perfect ending. The simple, family image can be found in the food and in the restaurant itself; the atmosphere is pleasantly calm and comfortable. In the Italian tradition, the staff is warm and rude at the same time. Now, in my opinion, the best Italian in Monheim and Langenfeld.

The Italian was a tip, we went there yesterday evening, good parking, nice Italian atmosphere! I asked the waitress if you could make me Penne Arabbiata as it wasn't on the menu, yes we can. Plus a red wine. It was very good. Come again.

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Essen wird sehr schön angerichtet. Es fehlte aber das gewisse Extra beim Geschmack. Zu wenig gewürzt.

Wir hatten über Groupon das italienische 3-Gänge-Menü mit Carpaccio von Rind oder Lachs, Pasta mit am Tisch gehobelten Trüffeln oder handgemachten Nudeln mit einer Lachsfüllung sowie als Nachtisch Tiramisú bestellt. Die telefonische Buchung des Tisches und die Einlösung des Gutscheins vor Ort waren simpel. Tolles, familiäres Ambiente und eine stets sehr aufmerksame Bedienung. Ein schöner und ruhiger Tisch. Bestellt haben wir tatsächlich die verschiedenen Varianten des Menüs. Absolut köstlich und in der Menge ausreichend. Das Tiramisú zum Schluss war ein Gedicht und fast schon zu viel. Dazu noch ein guter Wein und zum Abschluss ein leckerer Espresso 🍷☕ Fazit: Wir fühlten uns gut aufgehoben. Ein wundervoller Abend.
