No toilet paper in the women's restroom, and even after reporting it, no one cared.

We ordered coffee and apple strudel with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream and were very disappointed. The apple strudel was less than lukewarm, very dry and soggy, inedible. When we asked how this could be, we were met with a rude and dismissive tone. There was absolutely no interest in making the customer happy, no attempt to accommodate us, and the "statement" was that the apple strudel comes from the microwave and one minute is enough. The coffee was okay. Therefore, zero stars for the food, the service, and the price. €21 for two people is not reasonable in my opinion.

The season is coming to an end... you can tell! Service was listless, we couldn't even order a second drink! Salad mista with feta cheese and pepperoni 😳 probably more Greek. No dressing... just ice cream. Pizza looked good; but it lacked flavor, as did the pasta al forno. Far from 5 stars. Oh yes, the chef takes the money, not the waiter. Conclusion... Sunday food.

Simply fantastic, no ifs, ands, or buts. You're fantastic. Delicious food, top-notch service, a wonderful atmosphere, a family-friendly feel. We've only been here for about three weeks and have already been three times. Keep up the good work.

Apart from the ambiance, unfortunately, nothing positive is left here, which is a shame! Even though only three tables were occupied, we had to wait forever to be served...then: the spaghetti ice cream arrived at the table completely soggy. Our request for fresh water for the dog was dismissed. There is water at the entrance...however...a dirty bowl, and the water looks like it was filled three days ago.

We can't understand the bad reviews! We were here two years ago and several times in 2025 as well. Perhaps many of the reviewers here are fans of frozen pizza, but the food here is of the highest quality! The service and atmosphere on the terrace are very good! We can't understand it! My wife and our daughter ate there three times during our mother-child retreat in May/June and were very satisfied. So we made a special trip to Pelzerhaken on August 8, 2025, during our summer vacation in Dahme. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed this time. We waited more than 1.25 hours for the food, two of which were incorrect and had to be returned. So, another wait for the right food. Unfortunately, having dinner together wasn't possible. Other guests also received the wrong food, or they forgot to prepare the correct amount of food – here, too, eating in stages was the order of the day. The service is attentive, but can't compensate for the kitchen's shortcomings. Perhaps it would simply be better to reduce the number of seats instead of simply focusing on maximizing sales. Oh yes, the rating of the food is still missing, if you had received it: taste good

We were there twice. The service was really trying to correct the kitchen's mistakes. There were six of us and we had to eat in three blocks, each with two dishes. The last two were even forgotten and only served after over an hour. In the meantime, no one even thought about whether we wanted another drink... Instead, we were able to experience the Italian spirit for ourselves as an argument broke out in the kitchen. The restaurant was far from full. When we wanted to order a pizza to take away the next day, we were told it wasn't possible at the time because it was too busy. There was a small concert on the beach across the street that evening, and we could see the pizzeria. It wasn't busy, and one pizza should be easy to whip up in between meals. Unfortunately, all in all, I wouldn't recommend it, as even paying the bill was handled with annoyance. Perhaps you should reconsider your work ethic and attitude in a tourist destination.

This restaurant can be given two stars with a clear conscience. Three for the food and one for the service. Although only half full, we and the guests at neighboring tables had to wait at least 90 minutes for a simple pizza or pasta. After this long wait, some frustrated customers even left the restaurant before their food arrived. The staff was rather unfriendly. Never again!

This was a deeply disappointing experience during our holiday. The pasta was made with alcohol (wine), which was not mentioned anywhere. When we brought this up, the staff not only denied it but also made inappropriate jokes about my nationality — unaware that my friend speaks German and understood everything. The behavior was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. The staff was unfriendly and dismissive throughout. Absolutely unacceptable – we will never return and cannot recommend this place to anyone.

The food was good. However, we waited almost 45 minutes before we could even order. The food arrived after a total of 1.5 hours of waiting. Two of the three servers couldn't answer our questions because they didn't speak German. The staff kept arguing loudly. It wasn't a pleasant atmosphere. What a shame!

If you're in the mood for real Italian cuisine with good cuisine, this is the place for you. The pizza is very tasty with original Italian dough. Real good craftsmanship. Fresh delicious ingredients. The boss is usually rather taciturn and a little grumpy. Sometimes he smiles too. ;-) His colleague impressed more with her friendliness, attentiveness and positive communication. Very good cuisine. The interior could be designed more lovingly. At the moment it's more like the ambience of a dining room in a retirement home. Outside: pleasant. The ice cream is more recommended from the neighbors.

Unfortunately, you cannot award negative points. Here it is not the customer who is king, but the operator. The customer is the provider of money and is otherwise only perceived as a nuisance. We had dinner with 4 people. The food was all delivered to the table at a different time. Eating together was out of the question. An order was completely forgotten. When we asked, they said very rudely that we hadn't ordered anything. There was no apology, just bullying. If you want a different dining experience and have too much money, you can treat yourself to this restaurant. I advise everyone else to go to the restaurant next door!

I can't understand the bad reviews and am happy to report on my positive visit. I ate here three times during my treatment and was satisfied every time. The pizza tastes like in Italy! And there's no cheap salami/ham on it either. You can literally taste all the flavors. The pasta portions are also large enough and are served hot. You can also order food to take away. The boss serves himself and is very friendly and how else would you expect a real Italian. The space right on the promenade invites you to linger on the huge terrace. Even if the furniture looks a bit used, that doesn't say anything about the quality of the food!

If I could I would give 0 stars. I've never experienced anything so unfriendly. After asking if you could see what amount was on the card machine, the owner became abusive, insulting and loud. You would get a receipt. After we told him that he could please talk to us quietly since we had children with us, he got even louder. We shouldn't be so arrogant and come down. The ice cream wasn't great either, sauce was old. Ice was crystallized. Not recommended.

Today, March 8th We were in Peltzer Haken for the first time and visited this restaurant. There were a lot of people out and about on the Baltic Sea in fantastic weather and of course a lot of guests went to the restaurants. This was probably not to be expected. The quality of the products offered here was very good. The cellar and waitress alone could hardly keep up with the orders. There were longer waiting times, which the employees couldn't handle. It's a shame that some guests reacted so badly. We will definitely come back.

Carbonara was completely drowned in a cream sauce. Spagetthi ice cream was the worst ice cream I have ever eaten. Vanilla ice cream was a yes product. It arrived to me completely soft, almost liquid. Diarrhea straight away at home.

Today we were at the ice cream stand, which is also part of the restaurant. The children were already looking forward to their ice cream and we waited about 5 minutes. The window at the ice cream counter was open. So also for the sale of ice cream scoops, sundaes, etc. Suddenly a woman, probably the operator, shouted from inside that she wasn't selling ice cream today due to a lack of staff. That too in English. She also seemed completely overwhelmed and a bit annoyed. If there is no staff there, you should limit yourself to what can be done or done. Since it was my first time there, I obviously had a negative impression. Too bad. So we went to the ice cream shop opposite, who served us promptly and courteously.

The location saves this restaurant from bankruptcy because the food is definitely not a reason to come back. The spaghetti carbonara has a consistency that I have never experienced before. The pizza is okay with a lot of goodwill. In general, every food drowns in fat and oil, even salad (Insalata Mista). With slight nausea and stomach pains, we regretted eating here for the rest of the day. NEVER AGAIN

NOT RECOMMENDED! We went to the restaurant for dinner around 7 p.m. We received a menu fairly quickly and then our ordered drinks fairly quickly. Now it's 8:30 p.m. and we're still waiting for the food we ordered. Many other guests feel the same way. We have heard the question about how long it takes to eat several times. Despite frequent visits from the waitress, no one asked for another drink. In my opinion, the shop can only survive through "one-time visitors" because tourists are lured by the many free tables. Edit: You definitely have to give them credit for the fact that the food, even if only 2 out of 3 dishes were right, was definitely tasty.

First of all, it took forever for anyone to come. Ordered food/drinks and then waited an hour for food. If there weren't any children there who were hungry, it wouldn't have been so bad. Meanwhile, I observed people who were waiting for the pizzas they had ordered (to be picked up) for just as long as we had been waiting for our food (and they had ordered by phone), and were accordingly excited. The pizza was OK, not good but not bad either. The best was saved for last because only the boss, who is completely overwhelmed, does the collecting because he doesn't seem to trust anyone, at least none of the women were allowed to collect. You can imagine the mood among the staff. When we later wanted some ice cream from the street vendor, we were turned away with “no more ice cream sales,” even though everything was still open and available (7:50 p.m.). Apparently no one has any need to make sales there. I suspect the shop only exists because it's a tourist spot where 90% never come back, otherwise it would have been closed long ago.

We had 2x lasagne, 1x spaghetti with tomato sauce and 1x rigatoni bolognese. Everything was very tasty (including the spicy tomato sauce, which wasn't actually ordered spicy). We were served quickly and friendly. The furnishings were a bit older, but that didn't bother us. I can't say anything about the toilets, we didn't use them.

When we arrived, the staff already seemed stressed and overwhelmed. No view of who has just sat down and where still needs to be cleared away. We had to explicitly request the card after a quarter of an hour. We had to wait more than 90 minutes for the pizzas with our hungry children. An initial friendly inquiry was only reassured and the capacity utilization was pointed out. Instead we had to continue to wait for a long time. When asked again, the boss responded rudely. As it turned out in conversation with other guests, we were not the only ones with this fate - both that evening and in previous years. The food itself was okay, but not a culinary masterpiece. The reviews so far suggest that this is not a one-off situation. The shortage of skilled workers can only be used as an explanation to a limited extent, meaning that personnel measures could have been taken long ago. A word of apology for such long waiting times or a reference to it or a gesture of acknowledgment - especially with families - would actually have been the least. It's a shame, especially for young families, Italian restaurants are a guarantee for successfully eating out with the children on vacation. Unfortunately, this location does not make a positive contribution to Pelzer Haken's family-friendly calling card.

I don't recommend going with small children because the wait at this restaurant is so long that the kids will probably have to go to bed by the time you get your food. The waiters are always busy with something else. Unfortunately you can't rate it below one star.

And enjoyed it! The best wine on site, a Gavi de Gavi, which is very conservatively priced at €33 a bottle. Seafood salad top, pizza top. Best quality on Strandallee. The boss is an old school Italian warrior, very nice.

Service, disaster, you wait about 2 hours for the food. Apart from a reasonably nice waitress, no one can speak German. The pizza maker prefers to talk to other people instead of worrying about the food. I definitely advise against going out to eat here, as you can invest the 2 wasted hours somewhere else. This is our third year in Pelzerhaken. The first year we were put off by the negative reviews and stayed away from this pizzeria. In the second year we wanted to try it and regretted not having eaten pizza there the first year. This year it was once again a culinary delight. Well prepared and also highly recommended in terms of taste. Nothing wrong with the price either. We can't judge what it's like to eat there because we always order take-away. But absolutely great from ordering to collection. Finished at the specified time. Hardly any waiting time. So we can't say anything negative about ToGo. Always my pleasure. We've been hearing for years that the owner wants to give up his business. It would be a big loss for us.

We were here in the evening and ordered for three people (although the waitress took 10 minutes to come to us) The drinks arrived after 15 minutes, OK We waited over 2 hours for the food (two pizzas and pasta), despite asking. The quality was also not satisfactory. A juice shop, never again!!

We arrived at about 5:30 p.m. The seat cushion on the chair was dirty and the menu was also dirty. Overall, the store made a somewhat dingy impression. The order was taken and we only received the drinks. At 6:30 p.m. we asked if we had been forgotten. The waitress just said “no, no”. We were ignored. At 7:00 p.m. the waitress came and admitted that we had been forgotten. You could have noticed it when we asked. We paid for the drinks and ate elsewhere. So I can't rate the food, but the service is below all... A pity!!!

Today I had dinner there with my husband. The next table was already in a really bad mood. The children had finished the pasta for half an hour and the others were still waiting for the pizza. The visitors were in a bad mood and the staff was super stressed and in a bad mood. It wasn't packed though. After 45 minutes of waiting I asked where our pizza was!?! Then it was prepared. Others who came after us had their dishes quicker. Then after an hour our pizzas arrived. They looked and tasted great until we discovered the hair. Unfortunately we lost our appetite and showed it to the waitress. She said sorry and asked if we wanted to pay. Yes! We were charged full price. I don't normally write reviews, but that wasn't possible!

Very fine pizza. We cannot understand the negative reviews. The pizzeria brings Italian flair to the north. Not everything is perfect in Italy either, but that's what makes it likeable. The boss bakes the pizzas himself, the service was nice and the decor was Italian ;-)

We were in the restaurant with two people on Sunday evening. We ordered 2 pizzas and drinks. The drinks came after 5 minutes and the pizzas after another 10 minutes and they were delicious 😋😋😋. We have never had such delicious pizzas and are both over 50 years old. The quality of the food is at the top, even if the furnishings are getting old and the staff has difficulties with the German language, the food is really lonely Great. We would love to come back 😉

Great food and service and reasonable prices

The waitress doesn't speak a word of German. Doesn't even understand the word lunch. The canteen style mentioned previously in the reviews fits. The furnishings are wildly put together. Mostly super dirty and just disgusting. You don't even want to sit down. The employees sit in the middle and play on their cell phones instead of serving. The chef lets you know that you want something. The supposed owner is loudly watching cell phone videos - when you point this out to him he gets snotty and says it wasn't loud at all. Food was quite ok. Unfortunately, the mushrooms actually came from a can. The toilet facilities are partly defective, partly completely dirty - like the whole shop. The table runners on the tables were also completely dirty. We could have taken so many more photos.

Pizza ok, rather average. Meat was tender, the side dishes were fine except for the canned mushrooms. Service was a disaster. Child-friendly for sure, because children are allowed to do anything there. Noise level like in the school yard. Not with us again.

Were there with the family. Staff very child friendly. We had Pizza Fruty de Mare which was very tasty. Special small portions were offered for the children, which were also very plentiful. The other dishes were also delicious.

Very, very tasty. First of all, bruschetta, main courses two pizzas, made by hand and so delicious! We were there at 4 p.m. and it gets busier from 6 p.m.

We ordered 2 pizzas to take away. After 10 minutes the pizzas were ready. They were very friendly to us (after initially being taciturn) and we liked the pizzas, fresh mushrooms and a wonderfully crispy edge.

We waited 30 minutes to be served even though we were the only ones in the store. We ordered a hot chocolate, it arrived cold. We were served the wrong food and the minced meat in the lasagne was often undercooked. Finally we wanted to get some ice cream. The ice cream tasted like rubber and like it had been thawed and refrozen 5 times. All four of us had stomach upsets afterwards. The staff was also very unfriendly. That's why I only give it a one star rating.

We found this ristorante in PELZERHAKEN yesterday in the storm and rain and are absolutely thrilled!! We cannot understand the negative reviews!! Good service and the food PERFECT!! Everything is fresh and really, really generous portions!! Since we are often at Timmendorfer Strand, we will definitely come back!!
