Very attentive service and delicious food. Despite the restaurant being full, we were served quickly and courteously.

As always, it was full and unfortunately very loud. Despite reservations, we had to wait because the boss warmly welcomed two guests to our table. They were probably regulars. The food was okay, the atmosphere at the service was tense. Like many others, we didn't receive a receipt. Since it was 9:30 p.m., the music suddenly turned up and people started sweeping. We didn't feel valued.

Lukewarm side dishes and unprofessional treatment of the guest There were two of us and we ate pork tenderloin with mushrooms and rump steak with braised onions that should have been roasted. The quality of the meat was good, although both dishes were underseasoned. Both fried potatoes and vegetables were cold to lukewarm. No wonder, because the plates were not preheated, even though there were only four tables occupied in the restaurant. After we had eaten a good half of the meal, a nice but not very competent waitress (grabbing the glasses from above with her hands) asked if we were satisfied. The friendly but clear comment that the meat was good but the side dishes were at most lukewarm was met with an “oh”. No apology, no drink on the house, full charge for the food - very poor image and highly unprofessional behavior The Sauvignon served in white, which had been ordered as a red Cabernet Sauvignon, fit the theme of lack of professionalism. The experienced older waiter (not the patron) criticized the younger waiter in front of us guests for sometimes not recording orders correctly. Not exactly exemplary and ignores the problem that could be solved through training or personnel development The unlit entrance or exit from the street via the small stairs and the garden terrace or back is a real risk of stumbling in the dark Later, the restaurant was filled to capacity - given the quality of the food and service, this will certainly not be the case often anymore

Very tasty pizza, nice service (the female waiter was much better and more professional than the two men), good ambience, dog-friendly, clean toilets and very well attended. We had reservations for 6 p.m. and by 7 p.m. all the tables outside were full (wow!). Of course, there aren't always well-behaved dogs on site, but the operator can't do anything about that. I still didn't want to leave it unmentioned, because while mine is lying sweetly on her blanket, the barking etc. is definitely there.

The beer garden is very nice, but unfortunately there are a lot of mosquitoes at the table when you eat. Since the food was very good, the condition then asked me to please pack the 1/2 🍕. As I was leaving I asked about it at the exit and was answered "yes right away". After almost 10 minutes I asked again because I was ignored at the door the whole time and was then told "unfortunately she's no longer there". 😔

Unser drittes und letztes Mal. Jetzt sind wir sicher, dass wir dort nicht mehr essen werden. Obwohl reserviert, standen wir 15 Minuten vollkommen ignoriert am Eingang. Der Kellner unaufmerksam, ohne ein Lächeln, das Mineralwasser lauwarm (es war heiss), das Cola schal, nach etwas Brot musste man fragen, ein Essen wurde ganz vergessen, die Rechnung war falsch, aber das unangenehmste war die offensichtlich miese Stimmung im Team. Wenn der Chef seine Leute auch vor den Kunden runterputzt, unprofessionell und unangenehm. Es ist mir ein Rätsel, warum es dort so voll ist. Nächstes Mal zum netten Umut oder zur Pizzawerkstatt und dann im Park essen. Schade, aber bei Don Camillo fühlt man sich einfach nicht willkommen. Ist Freundlichkeit im Sevice so schwer? Our third and final time. Even though we had a reservation, we stood at the entrance completely ignored for 15 minutes. The waiter was inattentive, without a smile, the mineral water was lukewarm, the cola was stale, you had to ask for some bread, a meal was completely forgotten, the bill was wrong, but the most unpleasant thing was the obviously bad mood in the team. If the boss dresses his people down in front of the customers, it's unprofessional and unpleasant. It's a mystery to me why it's so crowded there. Next time we'll go to a nice Umut or to the pizza workshop and then eat in the park. It's a shame, but Don Camillo just doesn't make you feel welcome. Is kindness in service so difficult?

In summary, one of the worst restaurant visits ever. In detail, we waited 30 minutes until we received a card and were asked for drinks, it took 60 minutes until we had our drinks, and after 90 minutes we could order our food. Unfortunately, the food didn't taste good either and the second side dish for the Bolognese schnitzel didn't come either. It's incomprehensible how the good Google reviews come together, because the neighboring tables also complained about very poor and slow service

We sat on a beautifully designed terrace in a good Italian ristorante. The service was present and very friendly. As a greeting from the kitchen there was bread with the house's own olive oil and at the end an espresso and amaretto. The food (filetto ai funghi, grilled calamari and children's schnitzel) were freshly prepared and very tasty. However, good eaters should order an appetizer with it. Redeeming the gourmet block was no problem. We'd love to come back.

Sitting outside is quite nice. Between olive trees and other greens… Food was so-so… Calamaris tasted delicious, vegetables and fried potatoes were cold… Specially ordered side salad didn't come… not even after reminding service about it… Service rather inattentive... No asking if it fits, no asking if there's anything else... They could have earned more from us... Overall the price/performance ratio just wasn't right... also what kind of food was on the plate for the price... It was a lot going on... but then the staffing ratio also had to match... A second visit is out of the question… Maybe it was the gourmet block again... but then it should be particularly fitting... I think... PS: Almost forgot... The reservation by email, two days before, was not there when we arrived... so another star deducted... Sorry, only one left...

Delicious pizza and salads. We would love to come back

Food was very, very tasty. Unfortunately the service was not available. We had to remind people to order drinks several times. Our dessert wasn't as ordered either. And we also had to wait longer for the bill. Empty glasses were also often overlooked. It's a real shame because the food was really delicious.

Das Essen war ganz gut, wenn auch in einem Fall wenig gewürzt, Salz war keins auf dem Tisch. Wir mussten sehr lange warten, bis wir bedient wurden, die Speisen kamen ziemlich zeitversetzt, aber alles ok. Der bestellte Salat kam nicht, auch nicht nachdem wir nachfragten. Am Ende hieß es nur "oh". Keinerlei Entschuldigung. Auch zum Bezahlen mussten wir sehr lange warten. Unsere Getränke waren längst leer, keiner fragte, ob wir noch etwas wollten. Ich habe wirklich viel Verständnis und bin normalerweise nicht so streng, wenn mal was vergessen wird oder viel zu tun ist. Aber hier fühlten wir uns einfach nur sehr schlecht bedient, obwohl wir 3 teure Gerichte und Getränke bestellt haben und nicht etwa nur eine Vorspeise!

Everything great. Food is super delicious

Were there with the family. The only nice thing is the beer garden. A lot of effort went into it. My meal left me feeling like I had the leftovers. My noodles were also lukewarm. My husband's meat was almost unseasoned. Just no taste. Our daughter was happy. All in all, it's a shame because we always liked going there. I won't recommend it anymore because it's also too overpriced.

Food good and plentiful, service good, service friendly, prices moderate. Happy to go back.

First of all: I will probably go there again, the wait staff are Italian friendly and charming and the seating is quite nice, even though it is on the main street. However, the gentleman at reception, I suspect the boss, should think carefully about how he presents himself. I almost left again. Unfriendly, arrogant and grumpy, he conveys that I am happy to be able to eat there. That is not how it works. The food was tasty but the portions were tiny (no pizza). 5 pieces of fried potato lay next to my delicious schnitzel. You will only be full if you have previously ordered 250g of pasta as a starter. Maybe that's intentional.

Good Italian cuisine, good selection of dishes

Nice restaurant with good pizza. It's really nice to sit outside and you don't even notice the main street because of all the plants. At the beginning the staff was quite quick but we waited a long time to pay. Nevertheless, everyone was friendly and our dog got water. The pizza was really tasty. However, we had 4 other main courses that were okay. But we would definitely come back for the pizza. You can redeem the gourmet block.

We were 4 people. Dinner. Ordered 2x meat dishes with spaghetti and 2 other dishes. Any number of noodles came, but no spaghetti. When we asked, we were told that the kitchen was doing whatever it wanted and we couldn't insist because the menu only said “with pasta”. There would be no spaghetti! 5 minutes later we received a small portion of spaghetti. The third dish was not served at all. Surprise - but it was on the bill. The service was subpar, wanted to argue, no apology. What was served was mediocre. A restaurant that would like to play with the big boys, but only offers more appearance than reality. A pity.

Wir waren 4 Personen. Abendessen. 2x Fleischgericht mit Spaghetti und 2 weitere Gerichte bestellt. Es kamen x-beliebige Nudel, aber keine Spaghetti. Auf unseren Hinweis, bekamen wir zur Antwort, die Küche mache was sie wolle und wir könnten nicht darauf bestehen, weil in der Karte nur „mit Nudeln“ stünde. Es gäbe keine Spaghetti! 5 Minuten später bekamen wir eine kleine Portion Spaghetti. Das dritte Gericht wurde gar nicht serviert. Überraschung - es stand aber auf der Rechnung. Der Service war unterirdisch, wollte diskutieren, keine Entschuldigung. Das, was serviert wurde, war mittelmäßig. Ein Lokal, das gerne bei den Großen mitspielen möchte, aber nur mehr Schein als Sein anbietet.

Oh well. I thought I would order a salad and got a tomato with mozzarella. Admittedly, that was probably my mistake. I decided quickly and spontaneously because I couldn't find anything that really appealed to me. There were no other vegetarian salads. Overall, the selection of vegetarian dishes (apart from pizza) is quite limited. I found the food so mediocre. It wasn't exactly exciting and both my "salad" and the other side salads were mild or not seasoned at all and the side salads were missing dressing. Plus, I wouldn't have gotten a baguette if I hadn't asked. The baguette itself was dry. The pizzas were quite good. Overall, not a taste highlight and quite expensive for that. The ambience didn't really suit my personal taste. Old and somehow not very harmonious. What bothered me most was that it was quite narrow and there were spiders and dust in the corners everywhere. The service was fine. A bit hectic and brisk. When I asked about the daily menu, I was not answered verbally but simply turned the large board over again with the indirect invitation to inquire there myself. Paying by card is not possible. I wouldn't specifically come back. But it's okay and you can find something to eat.

HERE AGAIN THE PRICE-PERFORMANCE RATIO IS NOT RIGHT. PASTA ORDERED EXTRA WITHOUT CHEESE AND STILL THE PASTA CAME WITH CHEESE. THEN WAITING FOR THE PASTA, WAITER JUST SAID TWO MINUTES, BUT THE TWO MINUTES BECAME 10 MINUTES AND I HAD ATE MY PIZZA, WE ACTUALLY WANTED TO EAT TOGETHER. AND THEN THE WAITER CAME AND TOOK MY PLATE EVEN THOUGH MY WIFE NCOH WAS EATING. THERE WAS FOOD AT THE NEXT TABLE EVEN THOUGH THE PEOPLE WERE STILL EATING THE STARTER. PIZZA WAS MEDIOCRE IF YOU ARE A REGULAR GUEST HERE YOU WILL BE SERVED BETTER THAN JUST A ONE-TIME GUEST, BUT THE ART OF GASTRONOMY SHOULD BE THAT PEOPLE FEEL GOOD THERE AND RECOMMEND THE RESTAURANTS EVEN IF THE PRICES ARE RELATIVELY HIGH THESE TIMES. Conclusion: ONCE AND NEVER AGAIN!!

Great food, extremely tasty and tasty, we always come back, I especially recommend the fresh seafood salad. The rose wine is also recommended.

So pizza was great, I haven't had such a good pizza with a gourmet block in a long time, service was okay (nothing negative) you could still get something out of the ambience.

The innkeeper lacks respect for his guests and even for his own food!! We were here once last year and were served very courteously - without a Schlemmerblock voucher. This wasn't the case this time, there was a sense of objectivity and the otherwise highly praised Italian courtesy was missing. We were hoping that the pizza might not be as bad as we remembered, but again it came to the table without any Mediterranean spices. Italian cuisine could be so tasty! Well, we would have looked past that and the matter-of-fact treatment, but the fact that a landlord yells at his guest with the words "what is that?" If the pizza was only half eaten and when we asked for packaging to take away the rest, we placed the pizza folded up in aluminum foil next to the bill - which we hadn't even asked for - shows arrogant disrespect towards the guest. He also cannot value his products if he intentionally packages them in such a way that they can no longer be baked. If he doesn't want to provide a 2-to-1 offer, he should let it go instead of treating the Schlemmerblock owners like supplicants.

Why an Italian restaurant where the pizza tastes like nothing can have 4.1 points is a mystery to me! In addition, as a customer with Schlemmerlock we were treated like supplicants, there was no sign of the typical Italian way of pampering the guest as we were able to experience last year - without Schlemmerlock! My pizza "Fantasia" probably got its name from the fact that you can imagine the taste with a lot of imagination. Rarely have such tasteless pizza been served - the pizza from the kebab shop in our country is much tastier. Even with a gourmet block, the food here is still way too expensive!

We came with the gourmet block. It's a shame because the food was good but because of what happened we won't be coming back. This is how you scare away potential customers. At the end the employee told us that we had to show the block at the beginning and therefore we had to pay the normal price. We have had the gourmet block for years and have never heard of a restaurant that is no longer working at the end. The competition is accommodating when it comes to something like this - after all, you want customers. Unfortunately, an entire family was lost as potential customers.

We were passing through and stopped in for lunch. The food is at the highest level, everything is delicious, after which you didn’t want to leave this place. Feels like you're at home!!!

Very familiar and really Italian, wonderful!

For me the best Italian restaurant on Bergstrasse. Whether mixed starters, pasta, meat or desserts, everything tastes wonderful and with Peppino and his team there is always authentic flair.

We came across the restaurant through the gourmet block and it was a really, really good new discovery. The food was excellent: starting with a starter trio with tuna and avocado carpaccio and seafood salad, Saltimbocca a la Romana as a main course and Zabaione cream as a dessert, which is not regularly on the menu and was prepared upon request. The Saltimbocca with extremely delicious sauce and perfectly cooked side vegetables. The service was attentive and very friendly. Pleasant atmosphere. During our first visit today, we were in no way able to understand numerous other reviews that criticized the waiting time and the friendliness towards non-regular guests. We will be back definitely.

Es war lecker die Pizza. Und das Olivenöl mit Brot als Vorspeise auch ok.

Immer wieder außergewöhnlich, besonders die Tageskarte!

Wir wurden höflich begrüßt, das Essen und die Getränke kamen prompt auf den Tisch, obwohl wir vorher noch nie dort waren und kurzfristig angerufen hatten. Es gab solide italienische Hausmannskost, die Preise sind noch ok, und der Padrone setzte sich zu uns und scherzte mit den Kindern. Einzig die Barzahlung ist etwas ungewöhnlich, aber sonst ist dieses Lokal eine Empfehlung wert!

Das Essen war sehr lecker. Der Service ist verbesserungswürdig. Es war zwar viel Personal vorhanden, aber irgendwie ist Quantität nicht gleich Qualität.

Konnten mich kaum verstehen. Latte war viel tu heiß, ein freundliches Lächeln wäre auch besser gewesen. Und vor Seinen Kunden schreit man nicht über die Tische zum Kollegen in fremder Sprache.

Sehr leckere Hauptspeisen. Auch der Chef persönlich bedient ab und an. Die Auswahl an italienischen Speisen ist sehr groß. Man merkt das alle Speisen vom Herzen gemacht sind. Auch die Nachspeisen sind klasse. Sehr empfehlenswert ist das Tiramisu! Noch nie so leckeres Tiramisu gegessen.

Das letzte mal nicht so gut. Kein Ambiente, Essen nicht so prikkelnd, teuer?

Wie andere (ehemalige) Gäste schon geschrieben haben: Wenn man Stammgast ist, ist es bestimmt ein schönes Restaurant mit nettem Personal... Wenn nicht, dann ist der Service (obwohl genug Personal vorhanden: 2x Kellner + Chef, wenig Betrieb) recht langsam (ca. 1h dort gewesen, obwohl 'nur' eine Pizza + Getränk und espresso danach, und die Pizza wurde auf dem weg zum Restaurant schon vorbestellt). Stammgäste neben mir wurden sehr aufmerksam bedient und haben einen Gruß der Küche erhalten... Ich nicht. Die Pizza (Fantasia ohne Schinken) sah gut aus, aber geschmacklich war sie nicht wirklich lecker. Die Salami sehr fettig und nicht gut (und enthält Konservierungsmittel und Geschmacksverstärker), der Rest sehr fad. Der Pizzasoße fehlte eindeutig der Pep. Normalerweise würde ich die Kritikpunkte auch direkt beim Wirt ansprechen, aber das habe ich mir aus folgenden Gründen gespart: Die Begrüßung war sehr verhalten, teilweise genervt und Stammgäste wurden in allen Belangen vorgezogen (bei Bestellung, bei Nachfragen, beim Bezahlen). Da spare ich mir lieber die Zeit und gehe nächstes mal wieder zu Umut. Dort war die Pizza deutlich besser und das Personal sehr freundlich.

First time here and pleasantly surprised. Lovely Italian and really good food and wine. Lots of choice and it was definitely fresh. Will come back again. Update .... sadly, the second time we were here was not as good as the first time 😔 The male waiter asked us in German, what we expected from him, when we said we would share a meal. We were the only table without a table cloth and all sorts of things gave the second trip an unfortunate atmosphere. Probably, will not go again.

Freundlicher und kompetenter Service, hervorragendes Essen

Alle drei Rumsteaks waren recht dünn und nur lauwarm, durchzogen von Sehnen. Für ca. 24€ nicht angemessen. Schade!

Leider ein Sehr unfreundliches Auftreten vom Chef, die Kellnerin war anfangs bissl zurückhaltend dann war Sie aber Nett. Der Salat ohne Dressing die Nudeln waren leider zu lange gekocht.

Leider keine Kartenzahlung möglich, das gehört für uns zum guten Ton eines Restaurants. Da muss man sich nicht wundern, dass das Bargeld langsam abgeschafft wird. Essen war sehr gut, Bedienung war ok, hätte etwas freundlicher und motivierter sein können. Alles in allem, 3 von 5 Sternen von uns, was schade ist, denn das Essen war wirklich sehr gut!

Leckere Pizza mit dünnem Boden und frischen Zutaten. Wir hatten telefonisch einen Tag vorher einen Tisch reserviert. Auf unseren Schatten Wunsch ist man gerne eingegangen. Die Bestellung hat nicht lange auf sich warten lassen und mit dem Schlemmerblock gab es auch keine Probleme.

Salat war mir sehr wenig Dessing. Brot was nicht aufgegessen wurde zum anderen Tisch gebracht. Finger der Bedienung haben nichts aufm Teller verloren. Pfeffermühle wurde unter die Achsel geklemmt. Pizza war gut belegt. Nudelgericht war durchschnittlich im Geschmack.

Dachten wir können nach vier Stunden Autofahrt 1 Pizza bestellen und ca. nach30 Minuten verzehren . Dem war leider nicht so. 1 Stunde warten dann gefragt wo das Essen bleibt. Dann wurde recht schnell serviert. Pizza war nicht knusprig Teig innen roh. Sicherlich dem Stress der Bedienung geschuldet. Chefs dagegen haben sich viel Zeit für Stammkunden genommen. Leider nicht zu empfehlen

Wir sind hier zufällig vorbei gekommen. Lecker! 2 Tageskarten und noch die normale Karte. Selten so etwas gesehen. Es gab dann auch noch ein spontanes Konzert mit dem Schifferklavier. Wir waren sicherlich 3 Stunden vor Ort. Danke für den Sonntag Nachmittag!

Super Restaurant, Super Essen kann ich nur weiter empfehlen.
