Wirklich sehr gutes Essen und tolles Personal. Genau wie die Location. Ein richtig schöner, alter, uriger Biergarten. Die Speisen sowie die Getränke sind ja echt lecker und frisch zubereitet. Sehr empfehlenswert ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Alles war köstlich, nur das Schnitzel war versalzen.

Ich würde hierher gerne wiederkommen. Es hat alles gestimmt: das gute Essen, angenehme Atmosphäre und nette zuvorkommende Bedienung.

Wir sind seit längerer Zeit Stammgäste im Alten Brauhaus und kommen immer wieder unglaublich gerne hierher – und das aus gutem Grund! Schon beim Ankommen fühlt man sich jedes Mal aufs Neue willkommen. Die gemütliche, traditionelle Atmosphäre ist einfach etwas Besonderes und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Essen ist durchweg hervorragend: frisch, qualitativ hochwertig und geschmacklich einfach auf den Punkt. Egal, was wir bisher probiert haben – es war immer ein Genuss. Auch der Service verdient ein großes Lob: herzlich, aufmerksam und professionell, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu sein. Man merkt, dass hier mit Leidenschaft gearbeitet wird. Mittlerweile kommt auch unsere ganze Familie regelmäßig mit – und alle sind jedes Mal aufs Neue begeistert. Für uns gehört das Alte Brauhaus definitiv zu den besten Adressen in der Umgebung. Absolute Empfehlung – wir freuen uns schon auf viele weitere Besuche!

Einfach nettes Personal, das Essen ist jedesmal qualitativ super und gleichbleibend lecker. Schön sind auch die jahreszeit abhängigen Gerichte und das auch fleischlose Gerichte angeboten werden.

Essen war sehr gut. Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Wehrmutstropfem: Espresso ließ zu wünschen übrig. Plötzlich wurde man rauskomplimentiert da ab 18.30 Uhr der Tisch wieder vergeben sei. Wir waren eine Gruppe von 30 Personen die gegessen und getrunken haben. Für mich ein Grund dieses Lokal nicht mehr zu besuchen !!!

Essen war gut, aber mal ehrlich wenn das schnitzel 18€ kosten da kann doch mal ein beilagesalat dabei sein oder der Salat könnte 2,50€ oder 3,00€ statt 6,00€ kosten. Weiherhaus in Auerbach Schnitzel 17,00€ plus Salat dazu für 1,50€und sehr empfehlenswert dort das Essen.

Die Bedienung war sehr nett. Hunde sind erlaubt. Das Essen war gut. Ich hatte auch einen Beilagensakat, der sehr lecker aber recht teuer war.

Wunderschönes Restaurant, gemütliche Atmosphäre, nettes Personal , saubere Waschraum und guter Service. Das Essen war sehr lecker und reichhaltig. Hier gibt es noch die gute hausmacher Kost, wie Rinderbraten mit Wirsing oder Tafelspitz mit Meerrettich und Salzkartoffel.

35.- Euro für eine Gänsekeule und dann ohne Beilagensalat ist schon ganz schön unverschämt. Es ist nicht einmal gehobene Küche. Der Preis stand nicht bei der Tagesempfehlung im Internet dabei. Den muss man proaktiv erfragen, was ich nicht gemacht hatte. Dann sassen wir noch in einen kleinen Nebenraum mit einer großen angeheiterten Rentnergruppe die total laut waren. Wir hatten ein lockeres Besprechungstreffen. Der große Gastraum war dann später leer und leise. Für mich ein nicht sehr entspannter Abend! Hat mich über 50 Euro gekostet.

Klein, aber gemütlich, und die Roulade war wunderbar.

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit angenehmer Atmosphäre und wirklich freundlichem Service. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Ein Punkt hat mich allerdings irritiert: Ich habe mein Gericht ohne Fleisch bestellt, der Preis war lediglich 3 € günstiger als mit Fleisch. Wenn die Soße 4 € kostet und der Hackbraten mit 3 € berechnet wird, passt diese Preisrelation für mich nicht ganz zusammen. Insgesamt trotzdem ein schönes Erlebnis und ein Restaurant, das ich grundsätzlich gerne weiterempfehle.

Wir waren nur für einen Wein gekommen und saßen dennoch länger als geplant. Das lecker duftende Essender Nachbartische haben wir leider nicht mitgenommen aber bestimmt beim nächsten mal. Es wurde ein Fehler bei unserer Bestellung gemacht aber kein Thema! Die falschen Getränke wurden auf dem Tisch gelassen und die richtigen kamen Sekunden danach. Sowas schätzt man, selbst wenn sie nicht getrunken werden! Daher sehr zu empfehlen

Das alte Brauhaus hat wirklich 5/5 Sternen verdient. Das Essen ist echte deutsche Küche in top Qualität. Die Bedingung ist zuvorkommend und herzlich. Die Ambiente rustikal, sehr sauber und wirklich gemütlich! Ich bin absolut überzeugt

wir waren zum ersten Mal dort essen und werden sicher wiederkommen. Denn Essen, Getränke und Service sind so, dass man sich als Gast wertgeschätzt wird. Ich hatte das Kochkäse Schnitzel und bin begeistert. Auch die anderen Gerichte waren absolut lecker. So muss es sein.

Das Alte Brauhaus in Zwingenberg liegt direkt an der Hauptstraße, was durch die vorhandenen Parkmöglichkeiten sehr angenehm ist – kein langes Suchen, einfach ankommen und genießen. Von außen überzeugt das Brauhaus sofort mit seiner hübschen Fachwerkfassade, die perfekt zum Namen und zum gemütlichen Gesamtkonzept passt. Innen erwartet einen eine Mischung aus rustikaler Tradition und moderner Gastlichkeit. Eine alteingesessene Gaststätte, die durch ihre liebevolle Einrichtung und das warme Ambiente direkt einladend wirkt. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und zu unserem Tisch geführt. Trotz vollem Haus – es war kaum ein Platz frei – war die Atmosphäre lebendig, aber nicht störend laut. Der Service war aufmerksam, flink und sehr freundlich, Getränke und Essen wurden zügig serviert. Die Getränkekarte ist solide, allerdings hätte ich mir für ein Brauhaus etwas mehr Vielfalt bei den Biersorten gewünscht. Angeboten werden überwiegend Grohe-Biere, was für Liebhaber regionaler oder besonderer Sorten etwas schade ist. Hier wäre eine kleine, wechselnde Auswahl an hellen, dunklen oder saisonalen Bieren sicher ein Gewinn. Die Speisekarte selbst ist klar strukturiert: deutsche Klassiker, verschiedene Schnitzelvariationen, ein paar Salate und Suppen. Wir entschieden uns für das Schnitzel mit dunkler Bratensoße – perfekt paniert, zart und geschmacklich sehr gut. Die Soße wurde separat serviert, was praktisch ist, wenn man es lieber etwas trockener oder besonders saftig mag. Auch die Bratkartoffeln passten hervorragend dazu. Der Beilagensalat war frisch, bunt und schön angerichtet – optisch moderner, als man es in einem Brauhaus erwartet hätte. Geschmacklich solide, wenn auch etwas eindimensional in der Sauce – hier hätte etwas mehr Säure oder Kräuterfrische gutgetan. Zum Abschluss gab es noch einen Cappuccino, der den Abend rund gemacht hat. Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Besuch mit fairem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in einem stimmigen Ambiente. Fazit Ein gemütliches Restaurant mit Tradition, freundlichem Service und ehrlicher deutscher Küche. Kein Ort für kulinarische Experimente, aber perfekt, wenn man Lust auf ein gutes Schnitzel, ein kühles Bier und eine bodenständige Atmosphäre hat. Im Sommer werden wir auf jeden Fall noch den Biergarten ausprobieren – der dürfte das Erlebnis sicher abrunden.

I'll start with the good. The food is delicious, the salad is really very good. What annoyed me most, and what, for me, constitutes the poor service and the rating: I ordered a non-alcoholic shandy – I was given a 0.3 liter glass, slightly less than half full with Sprite, and a 0.33 liter beer bottle – so I filled my Sprite glass with beer – of course, the beer bottle was still almost half full afterward. So I finished my shandy and politely asked if I could have a little more Sprite so I could mix the rest of the beer into a shandy (which I had ordered...). The answer: No, that's not possible here; you have to order a Sprite. The waitress was a young man; it wasn't his fault. A little later, the manager came and asked if everything was okay. I explained to her that I wasn't entirely happy with it—since I'd ordered a shandy, not half a shandy and half a beer—and since they'd given me a glass that was too small for my beer, I'd like a few more ml of Sprite so I could mix the rest myself. The manager told me she understood my problem, but she couldn't do it because there would be no Sprite behind the bar. I could have finished my drink and refilled the beer... Sorry, but I've rarely heard such nonsense. If you let the customer mix their own drink and then give them a glass that's too small, that's completely unacceptable and simply petty. It's a shame that you're driving customers away like that.

A very cozy atmosphere, the staff are friendly and very attentive. The food tastes good and the portions are generous. In short, we will be back.

Nice, cozy restaurant, good service, and everyone enjoyed the food. The steak I ordered was good, but I'm lactose intolerant, which I told the server. I asked them to please make sure there wasn't even any butter in it. Unfortunately, I discovered that butter was definitely used in the cooking. If you don't have any food intolerances, this restaurant is a great choice. Anyone else might have a problem despite informing the server.

I had the schnitzel with green sauce and a side salad. The side salad was very tasty and went above and beyond the standard with pickled radishes, radishes, and beets. The schnitzel, fried potatoes, and green sauce were also very tasty. Not too greasy or overly seasoned. The service was also very attentive and friendly. I do have one small criticism, though: I found the music selection of German Schlager a bit odd.

A cozy restaurant with plenty of charm in an old half-timbered house. I had a schnitzel with fried potatoes and a creamy mushroom sauce – everything was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious. My boyfriend had the meatloaf, which was also very tasty. The portions are large and the value for money is good. The service was friendly and attentive. We felt completely at home and would gladly return.

Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere

Three of us were in the garden/courtyard on a Saturday evening and were graciously escorted to our reserved table. An older, a younger, and a younger server were all very attentive in taking the food and drinks and serving them. The various dishes—meatloaf, Wiener Schnitzel, and Schnitzel with Green Sauce, usually with fried potatoes—were all very good. The breaded schnitzel was fried in the traditional pan, the coating still light brown, and the thinly pounded schnitzel was beautifully tender. It was really well done. The fried potatoes could have been a bit crispier. They were relatively firm and already cut into quite different-sized, asymmetrical pieces, perfect for fried potatoes. Presumably, the potato variety was waxy, and the fried potatoes were a bit undercooked. The dessert from the daily menu, homemade plum crumble with good, presumably purchased, vanilla ice cream, tasted delicious. The drinks, Bergstrasse Riesling, Äppler, driver-friendly wheat beer, coffee, and water, tasted good and were served in matching glasses or in an Äppler-Bembel (a beer-style beer) on a tray, as they should be. The restaurant did a great job that day, both in the kitchen and service, in a rustic atmosphere and did a great job promoting itself.

The beer garden is a great place to sit, and we received quick and friendly service. The food was delicious too; my wife called it her best schnitzel ever 😄

A hidden gem as a spontaneous stopover on the way home. Just found it and immediately shared it. Today we traveled over 1000km from Italy (to the Netherlands) and wanted to refuel and eat nearby. We ended up at Altes Brauhaus. What a fantastic location! Because we popped in spontaneously, there was luckily still a table available (reservations are recommended!). We certainly made the most of it! We received a very warm welcome and were given a lovely table on the terrace. The staff provided excellent help and advice. The friendly people here are unique. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and wanted to stay longer. Unfortunately, we still have 400km to go, so thankfully we were able to pay quickly. Of course, they gave us a little something extra. Plus this well-deserved review, because I highly recommend Altes Brauhaus! Thank you so much!

Quite nice, but the prices are considerably higher than the standard, not to mention completely overpriced. €27 for a plate of pasta with seven chanterelle mushrooms and a tiny salad will make me steer clear of this place in the future. A shame, really.

Unfortunately, the penne dish was completely overpriced. 18 euros (without a small side salad) for a very small portion. We found that outrageous! The schnitzel dishes were cheaper and the portions were larger. We complained briefly, but they could have at least given us a small espresso. It's a shame, another restaurant we don't go to. Spending so much money for a small portion of penne :-(

I was fortunate enough to be a guest there a while ago. A great location, very friendly service, and very good, down-to-earth food at fair prices. You can tell that the owner and the chef de cuisine put their heart and passion into their work. I can wholeheartedly recommend a visit to the brewery in Zwingenberg.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch yesterday. Since it was raining a bit, we opted for an indoor seat, but the beer garden is highly recommended. A perfectly cooked schnitzel with green sauce fully met my expectations, and my wife was also thrilled with her handmade ravioli. A big plus: I left my smartphone on the table, and the waitress ran after us and brought it to my car. We'd be happy to go back :-)

Five of us and five times were very satisfied. The food was very tasty and even the side salad was obviously prepared and decorated with a lot of love (and that's how it tasted - delicious). If you want really good food, come here. Schnitzels are excellent. Not a calf, but everything else, just as you would expect from an economy with aspiration. The salads are to die for. Everything except the lettuce is pickled. Simply clever and incredibly tasty.

We had reserved a table for August 7th, 2024 and were there for dinner with five people! We were greeted very nicely and sat in the courtyard in a cozy atmosphere. The food was super delicious, Very appetizingly prepared and served quickly. All in all definitely recommended! We'll be back!!!

Great restaurant, good service and I can only really speak to the special dinner they had around a Christmas time. They did offer Christmas goose as one of the options. Would recommend making reservation to ensure you don't have an issue with seating. The food is tasty!

I love the outdoor patio area, with the real grapevine hanging from the ceiling. My spritzer was delicious, and the food was on point. The waitress was very accommodating and I felt very comfortable eating there with my daughter.

We visited here on my partner's birthday and spent a wonderful evening here. I had asked in advance whether the table could be prepared a little for the event and this was easily done by providing a subtle bouquet of roses, matching napkins, a bottle of water and two glasses of champagne. So the reception was perfect. The food was delicious & very beautiful to look at. The liqueurs and brandies/schnapps were also excellent. The service 10 out of 10, super friendly, attentive, the timing was always right and we felt very welcome. The toilets are very clean and equipped with towels. All in all a successful evening and absolutely recommended! Thank you very much and kind regards

Yesterday we spontaneously went to the brewery for a schnitzel. The food is delicious and I particularly liked the side salad. That's what I call variety. There was even yellow beetroot in the salad, which I have never eaten before. It immediately encouraged me to plant yellow beets in my garden :) Super delicious!! We were completely satisfied and would love to come back!

Nice restaurant with good food. The big advantage of these restaurants is that they are open all day on Sundays and public holidays. Our large salad was very good. The schnitzels also looked very good.

Were here today for a long time. And I have to say the best schnitzel in a long time, plate warm, schnitzel perfectly breaded. The side salad was a poem, so many flavors come together, accompanied by a nice Grohe beer and, at the end, a liqueur. We'll definitely be back 😃

We came here spontaneously for lunch and we really enjoyed it. We were warmly welcomed and felt comfortable in the rustic (but not dusty) atmosphere. The food was very tasty and attractively prepared. The staff was friendly and competent. The price was also absolutely fair. Reservations are definitely useful, especially on weekends, as the restaurant is busy :)

Spontaneously had a craving for home-style food early on Sunday evening. We were there and very satisfied. The service ladies were very friendly, attentive and quick. The advice on portion sizes and drinks is also great. Now for food: My wife had the meatloaf with potato gratin - very tasty and with a great sauce. I had the schnitzel with mushrooms. This is how schnitzel works! Tender meat, the breading is nice and airy, it has bubbles! Also baked evenly - so it had a wonderful color. No deep fryer in use, but a chef who knows his craft. The sauce is a dream and the side salad is completely different than you know it - but great! The restaurant is now firmly anchored in our list. We will be back.

Schönes uriges Gasthaus mit deutschem Essen. Schnitzel, Kochkäse etc. Das Interieur passt zum Namen, der Service war aufmerksam. Die Auswahl der Fleischgerichte groß, einige Salate, zwei warme vegetarische Essen. Gute Weinauswahl zu vernünftigen Preisen. Mein Kritikpunkt: Die Kartoffelklösschen (Gnocchi eigentlich) mit Spinat und etwas Frischkäse, sowie das Linsencurry waren mit 16/17 Euro sehr teuer im Gegensatz zu dem Kochkässchnitzel für 14 Euro. Die Essen waren gut, aber einfach in der Ausführung, Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis fand ich unangemessen, daher Abzug

Sehr schönes und gemütliches Restaurant. Super zuvorkommender Service, leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen, keine langen Wartezeiten! Man kann z.B. von den Schnitzelvarianten, die sehr groß sind, auch nur eine kleine Portion bestellen (1 Schnitzel statt 2). Ein Muss ist der kleine Beilagensalat 😃. Der Biergarten im Hinterhof ist sehr, sehr schön zum draußen sitzen. Also wenn es das Wetter zulässt, raus setzen!
