Initially very friendly. When we announced that we only wanted a drink, we were rudely informed that it was a restaurant. We then ordered a small meal, which, however, did not justify the price.

Our first choice when we are in Wiesbaden. Food is wonderful and the boss has a sense of humor - making every visit unforgettable. Thanks for that! 💛

The food always tastes very good and I also think Mario is very fair when it comes to the prices, especially when you look around in Wiesbaden. Without Mario we would be missing something.

Tasty but, in my opinion, highly overrated in the reviews. I know much better "fine Italian restaurants" in Wiesbaden with better value for money and a more original menu. The waiter at the lunch table was professional, friendly and nice to deal with, the food was nicely prepared, unfortunately I found my portion of calamari & scampi (2 pieces) from the grill to be too small for the high price of €28.50. In addition, there are very high drinks prices, especially for Italian wine.

Mario, his son and his wife, the queen of the kitchen, are really nice and approachable people, the food, which I tell you, is plentiful and super good, the strangozzi with sausage a real bomb of goodness, I even made the slipper. Thanks for everything

Gerichte und Service einfach toll. Der Wirt hat uns mit Freude und Charm seine Tageskarte vorgestellt, wir fühlten gleich die italienische Gastfreundschaft und uns sehr willkommen. Die 6 unterschiedlichen Gerichte an unserem Tisch konnten wir dann gemeinsam auf der schönen Terrasse beginnen. Geschmacklich sehr gut und aromatisch, großes Lob an die Küche, die Vorspeisen fanden wir ebenfalls sehr gut und empfehlenswert. Dass bei der Leber, welche extrem zart und lecker war, uns die Auswahl zwischen 3 unterschiedlichen Zubereitungsarten gegeben wurde, empfanden wir als sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Auch der Getränkeservice war die ganze Zeit passend. Der Ablauf des ganzen Abends war für uns somit perfekt, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, eine deutliche, klare Empfehlung, gerne wieder.

This restaurant is a must. Too good to be true. From the first minute you feel like you are part of the family. The owner has an incredibly cheerful and unique Italian charm. The waiter was attentive, nice and very personable. The food was a poem. The starter plates were tastefully prepared. The meat was buttery soft and the liver was very tender. Huge compliment to the kitchen. It was a successful evening and the restaurant can be recommended wholeheartedly. Always my pleasure.

I must say a very pleasant surprise in the heart of Wiesbaden. I'll simply say that I haven't eaten such good meat in years. Specifically, braised saddle of lamb and grilled fillet. Obviously highly recommended.

Kurz und knapp: Ein gemütliches italienisches Restaurant nach alter Schule. Mehr geht nicht. Authentische italienische Küche mit wirklich guten Produkten sowie überschaubarer aber guter Speisekarte ergänzt von einer wechselnden Tageskarte trifft auf familiären Service und recht kurze Wartezeiten und gleichbleibende Qualität. Essen wie bei Freunden im gemütlichen Wohnzimmer. Wir kommen seit Jahren immer wieder zu Mario und seiner Familie. Die Tageskarte lädt zum Probieren neuer Gerichte ein und bisher war jede Wahl ein Treffer. Die eigentliche Speisekarte brauchen wir fast nie. Ja, es ist nicht so günstig, wie anderswo aber die Lage und die Qualität des Essens müssen sich irgendwo rechnen. Hier wird gemeinsam als Familie mit Herzblut gekocht und bewirtet. Mario ist der perfekte Gastgeber. Selbst wenn man länger nicht dort war wie wir, erinnert er sich sofort an einen,sobald man durch die Tür kommt. Das ist unbezahlbar in der heutigen Zeit. Es ist deshalb schade, dass hier manchmal die Preise bemängelt werden. Wenn täglich sehr viele Menschen in seelenloser Systemgastronomie wie Mc Donalds, KFC, Vapiano oder Pizza Hut ohne zu Jammern ähnlich oder sogar mehr Geld für schlechte Qualität ohne Service ausgeben, sollte man dieses Essen hier eigentlich feiern, anstatt über "zu hohe" Preise zu nörgeln. Es geht hier vor allem um den Genuss und das Verbringen einer guten Zeit - nicht darum, möglichst günstig viel zu essen (wir mussten trotzdem nie hungrig nach Hause) oder ein hippes "Instagram Ambiente" vorzufinden. Und parken kann man auch immer irgendwo im Umkreis von 5 bis 10 Minuten Fußweg. Wir haben schon an vielen Orten gegessen und dieses Lokal ist unser absoluter Favorit - obwohl wir fast 500km entfernt wohnen. Selbst nach einem schlechten Tag lässt allein die herzliche Begrüßung alles vergessen. Wir wünschen Mario und seiner Familie noch sehr viele gute Jahre in Wiesbaden. ❤

Die Gerichte waren durchweg lecker. Für das was man bekommt allerdings zu teuer.

Such an authentic, traditonal Italian experience. I am not sure what the family relationship is but they have one older and one younger gentlemen front of house and then one older and one younger lady cooking in the visible kitchen. Small simple menu, beautifully matched wines at their recommendation and the food flavours are wholesome and delicious. For me, it is preferable to Goldegasse.

Gut besucht, zum Glück hatten wir reserviert. Übersichtliche Speisekarte (positiv) mit süditaleinischen Spezialitäten. Dazu noch einige Spezial auf der "Extragerichtetafel" amüsant vom Chef angepriesen. Schneller aufmerksamer Service. Besonders die Extragerichte waren besonders und lecker.

Passt. Preis Leistungsverhältnis stimmig. Zwei verschiedene Pasta von der Tageskarte: hier kocht die "Mama" des Hauses mit Gefühl. Der Service immer präsent, aber nie aufdringlich.

The pizza was like a market-ready pizza, the vegetables were overcooked, the calamari were swimming in fat, and not tasty… and the waiter was shouting at customers, for not ordering what he imagined they should order. Not recommended.

Wir sind über die Jahre gerne immer wieder hergekommen, der Hauptaspekt sind die überaus freundlichen Inhaber und die Fussläufigkeit. Beim letzten Besuch auf der Terrasse war ich jedoch enttäuscht: Preise mittlerweile astronomisch, die offenen Weine qualitativ nicht gut, die Pastagerichte ok aber ohne Pfiff, die Pizza ok (wirkt wie Tiefkühlware). Getränkenachbestellung hat auch nicht geklappt. Da stimmt Preis-Leistung nicht mehr wirklich.

Das Essen ist sehr gut, draußen sitzt man auch schön. Als wir das Essen erhalten haben, wurde dabei schön italienisch gesungen ☺️

Ausgezeichnetes Restaurant. Als ich das erste mal hier war, war ich auf dem Weg noch recht skeptisch. Ein Restaurant in so einer abgelegenen Straße? Naja. Dann bin ich eingetreten und habe die schöne Einrichtung und die vollen Tische gesehen. Mir war klar, dass das Äußere getäuscht haben muss. Der Kellner kam und hat leider viel zu schnell die kaum leserliche Tageskarte vorgenuschelt. Jeder hat nach ein paar Nachfragen etwas von der Tageskarte gewählt und ein volles Geschmackserlebnis gehabt. Im Anschluss kam noch ein leckeres Dessert, wobei ich immer das Souffle empfehlen würde. Alles in allem ein echter Tipp für alle, die in Wiesbaden gute italienische Küche erleben wollen.

Wir waren während des Weinfestes für ein verlängertes Wochenende in Wiesbaben und waren am letzten Abend bei Da Mario. In der wunderschönen Villengegend in der Innenstandt findet man das Restaurant mit einem relativ kleinen Aussenbereich, wo wir einen schönen Tisch fanden. Man merkt sofort, dass man in einem Familienbetrieb zu Gast sein darf. Wir wurden auf das Freudlichste und ganz herzlich begrüsst. Als die Speisekarten gebracht wurden, wurden die Specials des Tages höchst kompetent und ausführlich vorgestellt. Da sich alles sehr gut anhörte, brauchten wir ein paar Minuten, um die Auswahl zu treffen. Wir entschieden uns für eine kleine Vorspeise und teilten uns die Burratina. Ausgezeichnet! Dann genossen wir Saltimbocca Roma und Sella d'Agnello. Die Saltimbocca war vorzüglich und mein Lamm war das beste, dass ich seit einer ganzen Weile gegessen habe. Toll! Und das alles zu sehr fairen Preisen. Als wir gingen, wurden wir wie Freunde verabschiedet und freuen uns schon auf den unseren nächsten Besuch, wenn wir wieder in Wiesbaden sind. First time we have eaten here. We saw their write up in the Wiesbaden Kurier so we thought we would give it a try. Service was quick and very polite. Absolutely stunning food. We tried two of their specials from the board as shown to us by the owner. My wife had the prawns and calamari and I took a pasta dish. Well worth the trip in from Eltville and we will be returning with our family.

I was here alone on a business trip. They tried their best to describe their menu in. English, but we went over in Spanish after a while. I must say its been a long time since I felt so welcome at a restaurant. Within 40 minutes they got through 3 courses. Food, wine and service was perfect. 10 out of 10.
