Schöne Lage direkt am Rhein mit guter Aussicht. Gut um ein Getränk auf der Terrasse zu genießen. Leider ist die Qualität des Essens unterirdisch.

I've been there several times and was disappointed by the food and service (also from the boss). The pizzeria is based on the name Franco. It no longer has anything to do with quality. I don't go there anymore either, I was only taken to the birthday party. I ordered (everyone heard it, including the boss) and the wrong food came. Instead of saying sorry, let's do it again, there was a discussion with me at the table that I wouldn't have said the order like that. Tried to cover up his mistake and continued to argue. No matter, he said at the end we'll do it again, it'll be ready in 5 minutes. Everyone at the table had finished eating and my food was still not there. There were excuses and things like, well, the food came and had no taste. I asked to pack up the rest of the pizza to take away. When I got home I noticed that they served half the pizza folded up like bread. Conclusion:. ●Able to accept zero criticism (although the mistake was with them, including the boss) ●Unnecessary discussion with the customer ●Curtained friendliness ●Be disrespectful with food ●You think you're so good/something better, but it's just the name why people still disagree. ●Arrogant and conceited My personal opinion "Never again!!!! I'd rather go to the brewery next door. The food is great, the staff is friendly and the guest is treated courteously.

Good food and very friendly service.

Ate the worst “Salad Capriciosa” of my life here yesterday. Absolutely carelessly slapped onto the plate. Tuna was no more than a tablespoon from a can, ham was cheap ham cut into small strips and the dressing was a kind of cocktail sauce that coated the whole thing in a very thin layer. Hunger drove it in, but never ever. There's really room for improvement here.

This Italian restaurant on the picturesque banks of the Rhine offers a delicious dining experience in a cozy atmosphere. The eatery has a pleasant outdoor area, perfect for enjoying your meal overlooking the river. The cuisine is of excellent quality, with dishes prepared from fresh and authentic ingredients. Service is friendly and attentive, while prices are average and represent good value for money.

We stopped on a bike tour to satisfy our great hunger, after the waiter initially brought the wrong drink, and after correcting it, the pizza arrived. We identified this as a frozen pizza because of the holes in the dough from below and the topping that was shifted to one side in a pizza. For a traditional Italian company that even advertises that it was founded in 1980, there is no discernible tradition of craftsmanship here. I'm really disappointed, especially after the waiter walked around for another 15 minutes after asking to pay before he cashed in, and all without much activity. With a table right on the Rhine, the location is really great, but at a traditional Italian restaurant I expect everything but frozen pizza.

Super cozy location right on the Rhine promenade - nothing more. Food is ok; not more. Everyone can make up their own mind about the price. Plan for longer waiting times, even if there is not much going on. Service can also improve greatly. No recommendation. I don't go here anymore.

We went there for ice cream 🍨. The ice cream could have tasted better. The waiter was a bit unfriendly...

The location is sensational, but that's what the owner relies on: a lot of staff, but very unfriendly and inattentive. When it was over 30°, there were no replenishments of drinks, no food was brought, the cutlery was dirty, and the service was unfriendly. Parmesan cheese was three quarters empty and the container was extremely dirty, which was dismissed with the excuse: it had been standing in the sun. First of all, you don't put cheese in the sun. Secondly, not three quarters of the contents are missing from the sun and thirdly, the vessel is from the outside. This doesn't make them dirty either - they would have been better off keeping this lie to themselves. As regular customers, we won't be visiting this restaurant again for the time being, especially since there was neither a proper apology nor, for example, a dessert on the house for the food that wasn't delivered! It's a shame how you deal with bad staff and a boss who says, we're disgusting here with the mosquitoes. It covers these vices through lies, which scares off regular customers. P.A. Remagen

Gute Lage. Der erste Eindruck lässt auf einen schönen Abend auf der Terrasse außen schließen. Leider dann doch nur Touristenstandart. Der Service ist noch freundlich aber das Essen absoluter Durchschnitt. Der Fisch im Salat noch halb roh und die Spagetti Aglio Oli mit Pepperoni hatte Mikrowellenstandart. Essen nicht gut, aber die Mitrarbeiter sehr freundlich. Tipp: 50 m gehen und ins La Cucina.

We are regular guests at da Franco☺️ Unfortunately, very bad service again today! It's a shame ☹️ There were three of us and we ordered 3 meals 🥘. Ordered extra with parmesan (an almost empty, used and not clean container/table setting came to the table) and hot extra oil with chili (was carelessly placed on the table in a large glass) for the pizza 🍕 Cara which was not brought! The waiter (not the same waiter who listened to the guests' requests, by the way) didn't notice when he served the other two dishes at the table to ask whether the third guest at the table had also ordered something. No… why should it?! No waiter came either - 5-6 waiters walked past the tables without even asking if anyone else wanted to drink or if everything was OK?! I then got a beer from the neighboring restaurant! After my food wasn't delivered, no one cared - just a small verbal apology from the waiter 😅 It should be a nice end to the day.. We are really disappointed 😞! And we have been regular guests for years🤦🏻‍♂️ greeting B. & G. Strauss

had a drink and tomato soup, there was no lunch menu. Fortunately we could pay by card, in DE they prefer you pay in cash.

It wasn't so nice, because smokers were in front of me and the cigarette smoke came to me, my husband's pitza was lightly topped and didn't match what was ordered, and my lasagne was for a small child, the wine was very cheap, you could smell it It did!!Tasted good except for the wine!But way too expensive for nothing!!Wouldn't recommend it

For me, bad reviews really have to be earned, but this one is highly deserved. The black-haired head waiter was simply being audacious when he complained that we had called him over even though one person in the group was missing and couldn't yet place his order. His words were paraphrased: “Should I wait here all day?!”. I honestly don't know how to answer a waiter whose job consists of serving customers. It's better to let the gentleman work in the kitchen so he can cook the tomatoes. If you then talk about the food, the salad was covered in sand. They must have prepared the salad unwashed and poured sauce over it. The cola was stale. I thought the total bill of €65 for three pizzas that looked like frozen pizzas was a bit high. The service is beyond deplorable and the store thrives solely on its location. We often eat in this area and certainly never here again 😄

I have been coming to this restaurant for the better part of 20 years and the food is as good as always. Good service, good food, good prices, can’t ask for much more than that. My favorite time of year is summer when you can sit outside and watch the boats on the Rhein.

Ordered food today with my wife Cannelloni and I spaghetti carbonara and 2 weizen beers. Wife got her food and after 20 minutes I still had nothing. I asked for the bill and it was no longer necessary for me. The waiter apologized that he was too busy and was very unfriendly. A second one came outside and said it was his fault. They did not provide a solution. Been at least 10 times in the past and now never again. Agreed not expensive, but it is the unfriendliness that ruins everything.

Since there was an ice cream display case set up on the restaurant's terrace, we thought we would eat ice cream and drink coffee there. The employee came to the table without telling us the time of day and put the menus on the table for us. Before we could ask for the ice cream he was gone again. After a good 10 minutes he came back and looked at us expectantly. So far he still hadn't spoken a word. We asked for the ice cream menu as there was no ice cream listed on the menu. He said something incomprehensible, took the menus away and threw the ice cream menu (a laminated A4 sheet) from the next table onto our table. He gave us an annoyed look and disappeared again. No one needs such outrageous behavior! He seemed absolutely overwhelmed, stressed and once he learned the job - there wasn't much left of it. A very bad example for the industry! We then got up and ate a very tasty ice cream at the competition - the ice cream parlor Venezia. We received a very friendly welcome and service there. The Ristorante da Franco is absolutely not recommended! Not worth a visit and thank goodness there are plenty of restaurants to choose from in Remagen.

Ordering and serving was done very quickly. The food served was excellent. I will come back with the greatest pleasure!

3/5 stars - Mixed feelings on the Rhine We recently visited the Italian restaurant on the Rhine promenade in Remagen, attracted by the beautiful ambience right on the water. The view was breathtaking and promised a relaxing evening. Unfortunately, the quality of the food was not in keeping with the surroundings. We ordered three pizzas and one scampi. The pizzas were ok but the scampi was a disappointment. They smelled strongly of fish and didn't look very appetizing, which you could tell from the pictures we took. When we received the bill and raised the quality of the scampi, they tried to convince us that everything was fine, which did not lead to a satisfactory solution. In addition, the service was not convincing; an employee avoided eye contact and appeared rather unprofessional as he scurried past. Despite the beautiful location, I only give it 2 stars because both the food and the service could be significantly improved.

Great place to rest. Overall, it was nice there and the food was delicious. But..... A Lasanie for €13 should be at least as big as the bowl in which it is served. Ours looked like it came from a children's plate. Very little !! My pizza was a little more but a little more toppings would have filled you up. But...... It tasted great and the staff and the manager of the shop were first class, super friendly and also very quick. Thank you too to the kitchen .Quick and good !! TIP If you say please a red wine then you better choose what you order otherwise nothing will be precise. Will we eat there again? Yes . But hopefully there will be something more on the plate.

The ambience is really great and the ice cream is delicious. However, the pizza dough was tough, the bruschetta was too crispy, the pasta tasted so-so and the prices were too high for the quality offered. The service can be improved. The toilets stink of urine, I'm still waiting for my tiramisu - which I ordered twice, the waiter was quite unfriendly.

We had delicious coffee here after a long bike ride. Great view of the Rhine and very friendly staff.

Beware of food poisoning!! I ordered tiramisu here, which was already bad. It still looked good, but tasted spoiled. The service didn't care and so I still had to pay the full price. I'll never go to that restaurant again

In itself a nice restaurant with a great location on the Rhine. Very authentic service, Italian and warm. Unfortunately, the food (lasagna and spaghetti Bolognese) disappointed us. There were no herbs to be found and both dishes tasted very bland. The portion size was okay if you want to order several courses.

We have been going to this restaurant for the better part of 20 years now and the is always very good, still reasonably priced and friendly service. On a nice day we can sit outside with our dog and enjoy a good meal while watching the boats go by on the Rhein. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Food, location on the Rhine was great. Unfortunately, we were a bit ripped off: we ordered, among other things. 2 bottles of wine at 15 euros each. When billing it suddenly cost 25 euros per bottle. This wasn't on the menu. The waiter didn't accept anything about it, it was the price for a 0.5 carafe. No correction, apology or accommodation. And with 7 people we left quite a bit of money there. It's not about the price of the bottle but about the principle and the reaction of the waiter. That was a real shame

Nice view of the Rhine. Food and service not that great. When ordering, it was pointed out that I was allergic to tomatoes, but I still got tomatoes on bread for the starter and was annoyed and took it back. Pizza average at best and pasta drowned in oil.

Not everyone can be a pizzaiolo. Here it looks like it was prepared with hatred. Without love and spices.

The worst pizza I've eaten so far and our friends were of the same opinion. Dry dough and no taste, as if the pizza had been standing for 2 days. You couldn't even cut the pizza with a knife, even though the knives were sharp. You could play flying plates with the pizza I've eaten better pizza at some kebab houses, it's a shame for such a company that's been there for so long and yet for me it's the worst pizza I've eaten so far. TK Pizza might have come out better out of the oven, as an Italian you have to be ashamed of pizza like that I wonder where the pride is. I'm Italian and I make the best pizza

I found myself calling to ask if it was possible to book a table because to get to Remagen (where the restaurant is located) from where we live, it's a bit of a road and the person I had the misfortune of speaking to was I phoned to ask if it was possible to reserve as we don't live nearby and we have two children, one of whom has health problems etc., I was told "interessiert mich nicht" In addition to being rude, I found the response extremely rude

Place is very nice, very quiet, well we just went for a walk and then had a coffee, but the staff was very friendly. The panorama is fantastic. That was in Remagen.

Mi sono trovata a telefonare per chiedere se fosse possibile prenotare un tavolo in quanto per arrivare a Remagen (dove si trova il ristorante) da dove abitiamo noi,c'è un pó di strada e la persona con cui ho avuto la sfortuna di parlare sl telefono al mio chiedere appunto se fosse possibile riservare in quanto non abitiamo vicino ed abbiamo due bambini di cui uno con problemi di salute ecc,mi è stato risposto "interessiert mich nicht " Oltre che scortese ho trovato la risposta estremamente maleducata

Nice and friendly, family Italian ristorante :) At the small square with Rhein view I always like to come here as staff like Maurizio is very professional and polite waiter. Anyhow Italian language is like music to my ears. Whatever the case is, you can always have the best Italian spaghetti icecream and espresso:)

Dogs are apparently not welcome there. In the heat, I had to look for the steam under the tables and fill it myself. I know hospitality differently!

I ordered the salmon and shrimp salad. The salad smelled unpleasant and wasn't fresh. It was really disgusting and I had to leave the prawns and parts of the salmon on the plate. I cannot recommend eating here.

The food is delicious even if the prices have risen significantly. The service is a bit rough and you often have to wait a long time until you are taken seriously. So the overall impression is OK, but it could definitely be better.

Full star count from the 4 of us yesterday. Impeccable food, very friendly service, very clean place, including the toilets. This is how gastronomy should be! We had Italian specialties, schnitzel, pizza. Wine, and finally first-class espresso. Really recommended, plus the beautiful view of the Rhine, just a few meters away! Heart, what more do you desire! We will be back.

Got the wrong food for the second time. The bolognese was canned tomatoes with minced meat without any spices or root vegetables. That was a complete failure. Sirzplatz was drafty, right at the back entrance. The door kept opening and someone had to close it again. We used to eat there often and we can't recommend it anymore. UNFORTUNATELY

Friendly service, with a direct view of the Rhine, especially in summer when you can sit outside. The food and drinks are really good. The service at the table is quick and the first drinks are brought quickly, and the food doesn't take too long, regardless of whether the restaurant is busy. The ambience in the evening was really nice and recommended. Parking spaces on the bank in the direction of the brewery are ok at a later time, otherwise a bit rare, in the worst case you would park on the other side of the station - about 10-15 minutes on foot

Das Lokal liegt direkt am Rhein, was im Sommer sicher ganz nett ist. Das Interieur ist anschaulich und gemütlich. Der Kellner war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Speisen- und Weinauswahl ist überschaubar. Das Essen war dann jedoch eher Durchschnitt, was bezogen auf den optischen Eindruck vom Lokal, sehr schade war. Es besteht kulinarische Verbesserungsmöglichkeit.

Pizza was very good, the dough was a bit too thick for my taste, but that's really a matter of taste. The tiramisu for dessert was delicious! Of course it's great to sit outside in the summer, but it's also very comfortable to sit inside now.

Pizza war sehr lieblos belegt, aber vom Geschmack war sie okay. Die Bedingungen war etwas aufdringlich.

Über lieblos belegte Pizza und stumpfes Besteck oder die Preise kann man ja hinwegsehen. Distanzlosigkeit beim Servieren, es ist nicht das erste, wohl aber das letzte Mal gewesen, daß sich ein Mitarbeiter auf meine Schulter lehnt.

Herzlich gelegene Pizzeria am Rhein. Die Pizzas oder Nudelgerichte sehr lecker.

Heute zu Mittag gegessen. 2 Pizzen, 2 Getränke, 1 Espresso : 37 Euro. Sehr zügiger und freundlicher Service!

Tisch 303 am letzten Samstag Abend. Wir sind zu zweit - und bestellen unser Essen. Von den beiden Gerichten kommt das eine, das andere nicht... mit den Worten "Nudeln sind noch im Ofen - kommen gleich". Sie kamen nicht. Auf Nachfrage, weshalb es so lange dauert und wir eigentlich zusammen essen wollten, kommt die Antwort: "Die Nudeln sind runtergefallen. Müssen wir neu machen." Kein Wort der Entschuldigung, nichts. Und wie gesagt: die Erklärung bekamen wir nur auf Nachfrage. Das 2. Gericht kam dann, nachdem das 1. Gericht aber bereits aufgegessen war. Die Nudeln schmeckten nicht! Als es zur Bezahlung ging, gab es noch einen obendrauf: Auf der Rechnung standen noch "1 Latte Macchiatto" und "1 Amarena Becher", was beides nicht bestellt war, geschweige denn serviert wurde. Auch hier kein Wort der Entschuldigung, evtl. auch in Form eines Freigetränkes (welches wir aber wohl sowieso abgelehnt hätten). Rundum: ein absolut freches und kundenunfreundliches Verhalten (Benehmen kann man es ja nicht nennen) des Personals. Die Qualität des Essens auch nicht genügend. Leider ist in diesem Restaurant (?) nur der Ausblick schön.

Everything was great, it was very busy but the waiter informed us about that and that it could take some extra time. The only downside was a miscommunication with the kitchen wich meant that my girlfriend already finished her main course and i havent received my pizza yet, the staff apolagized many times so it was fine

Zeer lekker gegeten, leuke service! Goed vertoeven daar op de boulevard. Prachtig uitzicht!

Leider die reinste Enttäuschung, Wenn mann schon nicht selber kocht, sollte mann auch auf die Karte schreiben, wir bieten nur Tiefkühlproduckte an. Pizza 🍕 TK Produkt, Schnitzel TK Produkt, Jäger sauce fertig Produkt, Salat aus der Tüte noch nicht mal frisch mit fertig sauce. Verstehe echt nicht die teilweise guten Bewertungen, als ob die leute von einem Restaurant nichts erwarten oder kein Geschmack mehr haben. Da ist jede Imbissbude besser als die Touristenfalle.

Wir wollten zu viert einen schönen Abend beim Italiener verbringen. Die bestellten Getränke waren noch in Ordnung. Aber bei den Speisen war die Lücke zwischen Preis und Qualität zu groß. Nachdem wir dem Kellner mitgeteilt haben, das wir von den Speisen nicht so begeistert waren, schaltete sich der "Chef" ein. Recht laut versuchte er und die Restaurantphilosophie näher zu bringen. Er konnte uns nicht überzeugen. Auch der Grappa aufs Haus (wohl als Entschuldigung gedacht) hat unseren Gesamteindruck nicht sonderlich verbessert. Wir werden dort nicht mehr hin gehen.

Schneller Service, gute Preise, top Lage, nettes Ausflugziel

Es konnte nicht besser sein. Essen und Service super.Unser Hund durfte auch bei dem kalten und nassem Wetter mit ins Restaurant.

Das Essen war nach unseren Vorstellungen. Es war nett Angerichtet und schmeckte gut. Das bestellte Essen wurde schnell Serviert. Der Service war freundlich

Gerichte lecker, Getränke Auswahl auch gut. Die außen sitzt man schön an der Promenade von Remagen.

Cadre idéal au bord du Rhin. Service irréprochable. Nous avons pris des salades toutes très bonnes et copieuses. Difficile de comprendre la nôtre globale de 3,5 au vu de notre point expérience.

Die Lage am Rhein gefällt uns. Das Essen ist völlig ok und geht meist schnell. Wenn das Wetter gut ist, dann ist es natürlich am Rhein sehr voll

Bereits zum zweiten Mal in Folge waren wir enttäuscht. Ich hatte „Penne Bolognese al forno“ bestellt, mein Mann Pizza mit Spinat. Das Nudelgericht war unterirdisch: es schien mir, dass man auf die Schnelle Tomatensaft mit ein paar Krümel gehacktem Fleisch gemischt hat und mit ein wenig Käse in den Ofen geschoben hat. Keine Gewürze, zu wenig Salz: lieblos! Die Pizza war genau so lieblos gemacht: zu wenig Salz, kaum Gewürze, selbst mit dem anschließend bestellten Chiliöl konnte man kein kulinarisches Highlight erzielen… Sehr schade! Auf die Frage, ob sie einen neuen Koch haben, sagte uns der Kellner, es wäre seit 30 Jahren der selbe Koch. Vielleicht wird es Zeit, daran etwas zu ändern?

Meine Frau und ich kommen jetzt schon seit einem Jahr regelmäßig in dieses Restaurant (ca. alle drei Wochen) und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Das frisch zubereitete Essen ist immer sehr gut und der Service geht auf alle Sonderwünsche von uns ein. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt. Wir kommen gerne hierher und werden auch weiterhin Gäste dieses Restaurants sein.

Ich hatte Nudeln mit Brokkoli bestellt. Die kamen dann überraschend mit Sardellen. Davon stand aber nichts in der Karte. Keine schöne Überraschung, wenn man vegetarisch isst. Ich habe das angemerkt, der junge Nachwuchskellner wollte einen Kollegen zu mir schicken, um das zu klären. Der teilte mir dann nur mit, dass das Essen neu gemacht werde. Auf meinen Hinweis, dass mir der Appetit vergangen sei und ich nun kein Interesse mehr daran hätte, meinte er nur, dass es sich jetzt nicht mehr ändern lasse. Nach der Rechnung musste ich dann viermal fragen und länger als eine halbe Stunde darauf warten. Da kann die Lage noch so schön sein. Ich werde dort nie wieder essen, auch wenn ich häufiger in der Ecke bin.

Virkelig lækker mad og fantastisk service og fra den dejligt store og højtliggende terrasse er der god udsigt over by og til Rhinen. Herlig stemning og stort udvalg på menukortet, vi kan varmt anbefale stedet.

Wir waren zu zweit da. Die Coronaregeln wurden nicht gut eingehalten. Es wurde zwischenzeitlich ohne Mundschutz gelaufen. Die Tische wurden nicht desinfiziert. Wir haben uns nicht wohl gefühlt und sind nach dem Essen sofort gegangen. Meine überbackenen Nudeln waren nur lauwarm und die Soße war sehr wässerig und nicht würzig. Würden nicht nochmals dort hin gehen.

Wir besuchen schon seit Jahren das Da Franco und sind durchweg immer zufrieden. Von kleineren Schwankungen abgesehen (Tagesform des Küchenchefs schwankt schon mal) ist das Essen immer gut; der Service ist bemüht und rührig, die Weine sind ok. Im Sommer ist natürlich die Terrasse am Rhein die beste Wahl aber auch im Innenbereich gibt´s schöne Tische, vor allem am Fenster.
