The food tastes really good. The pizza is delicious. A little more expensive than other Italian restaurants

I went to this restaurant for dinner on Monday 12 August 2024 with my girlfriend and two of our friends, as soon as I arrived in Stuttgart on a flight from Pisa (Italy), as I was supposed to compete at the German Open Championship. My girlfriend who is celiac ordered a plate of pasta all'arrabbiata (obviously declaring that she is CELIAC and therefore allergic to gluten). I also ordered a pasta all'arrabbiata (normal). The dishes were served to us, but, unfortunately, evidently exchanged, despite the fact that my girlfriend's was brought complete with a sticker declaring "gluten-free"; so I ate the gluten-free pasta and she ate the normal one (obviously not knowing). We immediately returned to the hotel and went to sleep for the upcoming race the following day (13 August), at 4.30 in the morning my girlfriend started to feel very ill (vomiting and diarrhoea), and urgent hospitalization was necessary with lots of gastric lavage and IV. The blood tests ruled out any viral, bacterial or infection, and the doctors assured us that it was an allergic reaction to the ingestion of gluten. I read in the reviews that we are not the first case. My girlfriend and I were also alone in Stuttgart, with anxious families at home; my girlfriend's mother contacted the restaurant speaking directly with the chef, who also denied their possible human error in the service. Obviously we couldn't compete, not even in the following days, even though we had covered all the costs of registering for the competition, flights, hotels, etc. None of the owners of the restaurant spoke again… How sad. Don't take the responsibility of serving gluten-free if you can't guarantee its authenticity.

Italian cuisine at a high level. One of the few who can master classic Italian cuisine and pizza at the same time. The absolute reference when it comes to gluten-free pizza. Always worth a visit! Update: The last 2 times the normal pizza was average and the service was very inattentive.

March 2024 The negative first: I would compromise on the ambience as the tables were extremely close together. But !!!! The food was amazing!! I had gnocchi and my companion had Gamberi and Trittico di Pesce, everything was extremely tasty! We waited a few minutes for the food, but what we were served was worth it! The Limonsecco was reasonably priced at €8.50 for 0.2 l. The service was friendly and the restaurant was clean, just a bit cramped. All in all, 5 stars :-)

Fast service, friendly, always asking if everything was OK, just great.

We ended up here by chance today after a long journey and checking into the hotel. The service was typically Italian, a bit curt but still attentive. I had a pizza Quatro Stagioni, my other half had carbonara. Both very tasty. There was a robber plate for our child so she could try everything. The desserts were very tasty. Unfortunately the journey from the north is too far to visit again.

We had actually reserved a table in the nearby restaurant “Cavallino Spaghettaro”. After standing in front of closed doors despite a confirmed reservation, we luckily got a table in the 'Cavallino' restaurant. However, the negative impression continued here as both taking orders and serving food and drinks took a very long time, even though the restaurant was only moderately busy. All in all not recommended.

We had pizza, it was ok. I've had worse ones. Service a bit slow later in the evening, even though there was little going on. Price-performance ok.

I went with my daughter, who has celiac disease, because it's her birthday today. I specifically said everything was gluten-free! The waiter assured us that everything is contamination free and gluten free. We ate a pizza. Less than 2 hours later.. Daughter had to vomit, pain in her stomach, cramps that made her cry. Incredible!! Pure disappointment! If you offer gluten-free then it has to be that way! Never go there again! She will definitely suffer cramps for 3 days from this gluten accident!

Unfortunately, a total failure. More appearance than reality, for the prices you get more from a frozen pizza.

Excellent pizzeria, we went to get some pizzas to take to the hotel and the staff was super attentive and friendly, I told him that the child only wanted York ham and cheese because it was not on the menu and without problems. They gave my child candy and told us to take a seat in the restaurant while we waited. Delicious pizzas out of 10, juicy. If I return to this area we will return without a doubt!!!

Mediocre food. Miserable service: waited 1 hour for the starter. Another on the main course, 2 pasta dishes. No apology or anything like that. Not recommended.

Were announced here as a large group. Unfortunately there wasn't room for everyone and seven had to sit at a table of five. Reordering drinks was very slow. I would have liked more service staff. So it was a pretty dry visit... Food was really tasty, you can't really say anything about it. Great cuisine! Unfortunately the prices for the drinks are also quite steep...

Travellers BEWARE !! The host made jokes about me to other guests as I was trying to order because I didn’t speak proper German . Overcharged me for the pizza I ordered and sent us on our way thinking he got the best of us .. So here’s A REVIEW !!! Beware !!

Sehr leckeres Essen, nettes Ambiente - Wartezeit vielleicht etwas zu lange - lohnt sich aber! Preis - Leistung sehr gut!

The food was okay. I've eaten at much better Italian places. Noodles too oily. The truffle tagliatelle didn't taste good. Price-performance doesn't fit at all. The surcharge for gluten-free pasta is 2.50 euros instead of 1.50 euros as shown on the menu.

Gutes Ambiente, gemütlich die Küche ist abwechslungsreich für jeden etwas da gute italienische Küche. Die Pizza Boden ist ein bisschen zu trocken oder zu starke gebacken, so dass man Schwierigkeiten hat beim schneiden der Pizza ansonsten schmackhaft lecker und auch Tagesgerichte verschiedene Wochen Gerichte ich nur weiter empfehlen.

Was here for the second time today. Was super tasty. The first time the waiting time was quite long (but understandable at rush hour without a reservation), today it was super quick. I had a salad, my husband had a pizza. Both very good. The salad was rich and fresh. The pizza was well topped and a good size. We'd love to come back.

Food and drinks at the highest level, however, the atmosphere suffers considerably if you completely overcrowd the small restaurant, so one star is deducted and only recommended to a limited extent for a cozy evening, rather for larger groups

It's been a long time since I've had such good Italian food! The pasta was al dente, the vegetables were crunchy, the fish was on point… all the deserts were consistently very good. Clear recommendation! Thank you for a successful evening!

Wow - not standard, but real quality. The fresh pasta with lemon sauce and burrata is crazy! The service was very nice, but we could come by more often. We waited a long time until we could order another drink and tried to make eye contact several times in vain. A small star deduction for that :) - overall highly recommended

Nice restaurant and great food. When you're seated all the way to the back and the place is full, the air gets a bit stuffy. Unfortunately we had to wait over 30 minutes until we could pay the bill, despite repeated requests.

Das Ristorante Cavallino in Stuttgart-West ist ein glutenfreies Paradies! Schon in der Speisekarte war alles entsprechend deklariert, alle Pasta- & Pizzagerichte gab es auch glutenfrei (oder auf Volkornbasis). Auch ein Teil der Vorspeisen & Desserts war glutenfrei. Laut der Mitarbeiterin haben sie einen eigenen Pizzaofen für die glutenfreien Pizzen inkl. Arbeitsplatte. Der Pizzaboden wird selbst gemacht und ist keine Rohling. Die Pizza war sehr, sehr lecker. Sowie das gf Tiramisu.☺️ Auch von den Preisen her war es super fair und ist absolut zu empfehlen! Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen!

Wir hatten das Vergnügen, unsere Hochzeit im familiären Kreis im Ristorante Cavallino zu feiern, und wir sind restlos begeistert. Das Essen war reichlich und super lecker, die Organisation verlief reibungslos, und der Service war einfach ausgezeichnet. Unser herzlicher Dank geht an das gesamte Team für einen unvergesslichen Tag!

Das Restaurant ist voll, leckeres Essen in lebendiger Stimmung, besder Reservieren, wenn ihr Tisch wollt. Schöne Auswahl , interessante Kombinationen, lässig...

Das Cavallino hat uns mit seiner Qualität und dem Service sehr positiv überrascht. Die Pizza gehört zu den Besten in Stuttgart. Zudem wird glutenfrei angeboten. Obwohl es dort meist voll ist war es nicht ungemütlich. Und Achtung: Das Cavallino hat zwei Standorte. Die sind aber nur 300m auseinander.

Wer mit Gluten Probleme hat, sollte hier essen kommen. Hier werden Träume wahr… endlich ein italienisches Restaurant die mit glutenfreien Produkten arbeiten können. Das Brot/ Pizza ist spitzenmässig, nicht hart oder geschmacklos. Die Ciabatta ist fluffig und geschmacklich fantastisch. Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend. Glutenfreie Nudel, Pizza, Ciabatta werden angeboten. Jede Woche werden neue Gerichte präsentiert. Lokal ist gut besucht. Ambiente ist angenehm. Es gibt mittlerweile eine Erweiterung vom Lokal, das Spaghettaro Cavallino. Der ist aber nicht empfehlenswert, da das Personal sehr unfreundlich ist und das Essen nicht gut schmeckt.

Wir waren in einer Gruppe mit 10 Leuten und mit einer Reservierung. Wir mussten über 1 Stunde auf die Pizzen warten. Immerhin sind dann alle Pizzen zeitgleich gekommen. Ich habe die Pizza Robertino genommen. Die war geschmacklich ganz okay, etwas arg ölig / fettig für mich. Das Weizenbier vom Fass war gut und kann ich empfehlen.

Das beste Italienische Restaurant in Stuttgart. Ich fühle mich zu Hause, die Mitarbeiter sind nett ( wie jeder in Italien ist) Essen ist ein Kunst! ... Glutenfrei, also... Perfekt!

Der beste Italiener in Stuttgart

Wer authentische Italienische Kochkunst sucht, ist im Cavallino goldrichtig. Das Lokal ist klein und etwas eng, aber die Speisen sind wirklich sensationell. Jeder von uns hat andere Speisen gewählt und alle waren hell begeistert. Frische Zutaten, perfekte Zubereitung, attraktiv präsentiert. Der Service hätte vielleicht etwas aufmerksamer sein können, aber es war ein unvergesslicher Abend und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist überzeugend. Unbedingt die Panna Cotta probieren, sie ist ein Gedicht! Wir können das Cavallino wirklich empfehlen und kehren sehr gerne wieder hier ein.

Sehr schönes Lokal, welches für unsere Gruppe noch spontan Platz hatte und uns auch extra einen großen Tisch vorgerichtet hat. Das Essen war sehr lecker - gerne wieder.

El tracte va ser genial, el menjar realment de immillorable. Disposen de pizzes, pasta i cervesa sense gluten (ho etiqueten lo qual s'agraeix). Realment qualitat preu genial i el menjar molt molt bo.

Wir waren an einem Samstag Abend bei diesem tollen Italiener zu Gast. Trotz vollem Hause war der Service top und super freundlich sowie zuvorkommend. Die Vorspeise, glutenfreies Bruscetta, war hervorragend. Selten so leckeres, glutenfreies Brot gegessen. Ein wenig mehr Würze hätte es allerdings sein dürfen. Anschließend haben wir 3 Pizzen gegessen, 2x glutenfrei und 1x normal. Wir alle 3 waren begeistert und insbesondere ist auch wieder die glutenfreie Pizza, die eine der besten war, die wir in den letzten 10 Jahren gegessen haben, hervorzuheben! Die normale Pizza fällt aber keinesfalls in der Qualität herunter, auch diese war top! Wir können das Cavallino Ristorante jedem ans Herz legen :-)

Quite expensive. 4 pasta dishes + bruschetta + 2 beers - 100€... 100€! Unbelievable. They give you tap water and charge you 5 € per bottle. 5€!!! Unbelievable. Pasta was ok, nothing further. Totally unworthy!

Die gefüllte Pizza Bazzuca war hervorragend und super lecker angerichtet. Der Service perfekt und zuvorkommend. Trotz reservierter Tische wurde ein neuer Tisch nebst Stühle aufgestellt. Jeder Zeit wieder gerne.

Wir waren zu viert hier, und waren von der Pizza begeistert. Wir hatten auch jemanden mit Zöliakie dabei, und sie war einfach nur happy, weil sie hier so ein umfangreiches Angebot hatte. Top Pizza und gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Die Bedienung könnte zwischendurch mal lächeln! Wenn wir nochmals in Stuttgart sind, dann kommen wir wieder.

Ich war mit meinem Sohn auf einem Ausflug nach Stuttgart hier essen und wir waren beide total zufrieden. Mit der Qualität der Speisen, Pizza richtig fein mit dünnem Teig und leckerem Belag. Die Spaghettis al dente mit einer würzigen Fleischsauce. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Essen war ganz in Ordnung, auch wenn z.b. Kirschtomaten die zur Pizza dazubestellt wurden doch nicht drauf waren. Der Service ist richtig schlecht!!!!

Wir 3 Ehepaare waren gestern Abend hier zum Essen ein sehr schönes Ambiente nettes flottes und unterhaltsames Personal und das Essen war vom Salat begonnen den Vorspeisen und dem , sagen wir mal Hauptgericht, einfach Spitze

Abbiamo cenano in questo ristorante che si trovava vicino al nostro albergo, devo dire che la qualità è molto buona, devo dire che la carne è ottima e anche i primi sono buoni. Anche il tortino al pistacchio è ottimo! Il Personale parla perfettamente italiano e sono molto cordiali. Costo non eccessivo

Mysig lokal men ganska bullrigt. Bra meny med många alternativ. Maten var alla i sällskapet nöjda med goda smaker och ganska generösa portioner. Servicen hade mer att önska, svårt att beställa och att få glasen påfyllda.
