Dirty tablecloth, no cutlery, unfriendly staff, bad pizza (tasteless). We wanted to end our spa holiday on a nice note and were unfortunately annoyed by the food and the unpleasant climate in the restaurant!

Although the restaurant is in a nice area with a great view of the garden, the food fell short of expectations. For our taste the flavors were not good (too much salt, too much butter, not olive oil but oil...). Also, the service took too long for the type of food (pasta) (more than 1 hour between starter and main course). All in all, the price-quality ratio was not good.

Best view of the castle park and delicious food!

We visited the restaurant on our vacation and were really looking forward to the visit, it should be a successful conclusion. We waited almost 1.5 hours for our main course, there was no apology from the staff, anyway the staff was very unfriendly and cold. We also didn't get any bread with the main course, but all the other tables did. The tagliatelle were still a little firm and there were still a lot of bones in the salmon. Unfortunately our experience with the restaurant was not good, which is a shame as the reviews otherwise seem to indicate that this is not the case.

As a former employee, don't leave tips because the owner Angelo Valenzano pockets them all to pay illegal employees who don't have legal contracts. pre-cooked food, bullying during service by the owners, there is no staff that speaks German because they don't pay enough to afford qualified staff (1000-1200€ for 12 hours of work), that explains exactly why a Place that has more than 150 seats does not have at least 4-5 waiters. Cleanliness 0 humanity below zero. Very high prices for the quality of the goods you buy.

Essen ok, Service Katastrophe. Ewig aufs Essen gewartet, waren nicht die einzigen. Das Personal wurde mehrfach gefragt wann das Essen denn käme. Hatten den Tisch um 19 Uhr und um 20:40 Uhr kam das Hauptgericht. Am Ende habe ich aus Anstand sogar noch 5,-€ Trinkgeld gegeben, wenn’s mir gefällt, gebe ich mehr. Die 5,-€ wurden Kommentarlos (vom Chef) ins Portmonee gesteckt, ohne sich zu bedanken. Absolut keine Empfehlung!!!

A bit overwhelmed. In a time-honored building with a postcard view of the spa gardens from the terrace, your expectations may be too high. When I entered and asked for a table for one person, the route to the table was briefly described to me and I was supposed to take the menu with me straight away. The menu is structured in a classic Italian way (antipasti, primo piatto, secondo piatto, pizza, dolce. It is noticeable that the daily recommendations are significantly more expensive than à la carte. After about 15 minutes and my query, my order is taken. The incorrectly delivered water will be corrected. The Pinot Grigio smells fine, but in the mouth the difference to acidified, alcoholic water is marginal. The salad was accidentally delivered without bread. I wouldn't have recognized the oil in the vinegar-and-oil table setting as olive oil in a blind test. The mixed salad is beautifully prepared and tasty. 40 minutes after ordering (despite only 30 percent table occupancy), the Primo Piatto, Spaghetti Alio e Olio, arrives, even at the neighboring table. The dish is good, a little oily, but within limits. I forego a Secondo Piatto. The evening cost me 33 euros.

Today was the first time in this establishment, I didn’t know what delicious Italian cuisine to eat, there was very friendly service, and we recommended Lasagne Bolonese und Insalata Belvedere, it was very tasty, now this is my favorite Castelo Belvedere

Ambiente ist sehr schön, Service bemüht aber überlastet; 2. Glas Wein kam nach dem Hauptgang, Rechnung dauerte ebenfalls lange - bitte mehr Personal. Pizza war gut, scaloppine waren lauwarm

Wo soll man da anfangen? Evtl. am Ende eines denkwürdigen Abends: wir waren mit bei den letzten Gästen (warum weiter unten), und mussten mit ansehen, wie der Chef auf die Toilette ging. Die Tür der Herrentoilette stand immer offen und im Gastraum hatte man daher immer freie Sicht auf das Geschehen. Passend zum Verlauf des Abends durften wir Zeuge werden, wie der Chef eines Gastrobetriebes nach dem Urinieren ohne Händewaschen wieder an die Arbeit ging und munter weiter arbeitete. Hygiene ist wohl in Italien anders bewertet… Davor hatten wir Pizza, die eher einfallslos war und definitiv nicht zu unseren kulinarischen Highlights gehört. Man könnte sagen: selber Schuld, hättet euch ja aus der Speisekarte etwas anderes aussuchen können. Stimmt, und das haben wir tatsächlich auch. Nur hat uns der besagte Chef (der mit dem Hygieneproblem) erst bei der Bestellung gesagt, dass unsere Wahl nicht verfügbar ist. Hätte er auch sagen können als er uns die Speisekarte gegeben hat, hat er aber nicht. Da hatten wir allerdings schon über 30 Minuten auf unsere Getränke gewartet die wir bei der Übergabe der Speisekarte bestellt hatten. Zwischen der Vorspeise (Salat, der bei aller Kritik das alleinige Highlight des Abends war) und der besagten Pizza, hatten wir ausreichend Zeit (wiederum 30 Minuten) uns an dem Service zu erfreuen: der Versuch ein weiteres Bier zu bestellen, scheiterte an der Bedienung, die weder der deutschen, noch der englischen Sprache mächtig war. Was hier nach einem emotionalen Verriss klingt, entspricht 1:1 unseren Erfahrungen und die positiven Bewertungen lassen hoffen, dass andere Gäste bessere Erfahrungen machen dürfen (sofern sich der Chef dann die Finger wäscht nach dem Pieseln).

You wait at least an hour for your food when the occupancy is half full. A pizza rarely takes longer than half an hour in other restaurants. The ambience was really nice outside.

Schade, ganz schlechter Service, obwohl sehr viel menpower da war. Trinkengeld wurde nicht angenommen. Solltet ihr euch auch sparen. Wir werden dieses Restaurant nicht mehr aufsuchen.

Ero in Germania con un collega in occasione di una fiera a Fulda. Abbiamo cenato due sere di seguito in questo ottimo ristorante. Personale gentilissimo, piatti superlativi, ambiente elegante. La prima sera abbiamo cenato in terrazza mentre stasera causa pioggia ci hanno fatto accomodare nella sala interna (molto curata). Ieri abbiamo provato la pizza che era gustosa e cotta molto bene. Tiramisu spaziale! Stasera io ho preso il filetto di Angus al pepe verde, mentre il collega ha scelto gli spaghetti alla marinara. Entrambi i piatti erano abbondanti e buonissimi. Consiglio assolutamente questo ristorante! Saluti al simpatico boss ed al suo aiutante romano! A presto

The food was tasteless but quite expensive.

Drove by by chance and stopped out of curiosity: direct hit I was allowed to park right in front of the door because my friend is handicapped and almost blind. Very accommodating service, competent and attentive. They respond to requests. Tablecloths and cloth napkins. Very good food. My friend had the best lasagne she has ever eaten. Everything Very well maintained and clean. Price-performance ratio is right. We will definitely be back!

More of a tourist restaurant and not a gourmet Italian. But if you order a simple meal (pizza or pasta) you will be very satisfied.

I stayed at the belvedere castle, while staying at the dorin hotel. I highly recommend trying it if you happen to be in bad brökenau. The food is of quality, the pizza was fantastic and the service was efficient and fast, the price is in keeping with the environment that surrounds you and the quality of the food, I found no discrepancies.

I highly recommend this Italian restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Italian cuisine and impeccable service. I can't wait to return to enjoy this amazing dining experience again.

Unfortunately, it has diminished significantly. Were there a year ago and I'm totally surprised at how the quality has deteriorated on almost all levels. There were only a few tables occupied and 50 minutes of waiting is a long time. The staff skilfully looked away shockingly often. I can't remember the last time I wasn't asked if everything was okay. Apparently no one was interested. The head of service didn't even look at us. To eat. Three pizzas and one steak. Despite the long wait, all the edges were partly very burnt, and the steak in the middle was definitely raw. But when ordering, they didn't ask what the guest wanted. Unfortunately, that was close to rare. For me, I prefer medium and also eat medium rare far too raw. The vegetables… nothing special and the “fried potatoes” were 3 potato wedges that were in the juice of peppers. Three dishes at the neighboring table were also returned because they were cold. Really a shame and unfortunately no longer recommended.

Noble restaurant at a great location with charming staff. They provide a classic Italian menu, local beer and a good variety of wine. My top favourite in Bad Brückenau since years!

The pizza was incredibly good. The dough was perfect and so was the topping. I also ate the pesto and it was in no way inferior to the pizza. Unfortunately, I was so full that I couldn't try the desserts. Service is very authentically Italian. The prices are absolutely fine. Prices are rather reasonable for the quality and ambience. Absolute recommendation!

We ate very well here. The ambience with this view over the terrace is absolutely magnificent. The waiter was friendly, on the ball and sometimes funny, appropriate for the group. I found it very good. Unfortunately, due to the size of the group (approx. 50 people), he was understandably overwhelmed; another waiter would have worked wonders here. Would come here again.

We had dinner at Angelo's again this evening and it was divine. Veal medallions with a delicious Primitivo and Penne Emiliana with pilgrim stuff are delicious. The nice service, the cleanliness of the sanitary facilities and the table with white tablecloths and napkins and candles are all at their best :-). Thank you very much, dear Angelo, also for the absolutely delicious Limocello at the end. We ALWAYS come back when we enjoy a weekend at the Bad Brückenau state spa.

The tastiest pizza I've ever eaten! The floor is a dream, no expense was spared on the covering. My pizza was topped with fresh vegetables and the cheese was to die for. This is how I imagine an Italian pizza!

Nice decor, good food, huge portion and the price is justified. Antipasti and bruschetta need to be seasoned but we didn't think it was bad. Service is friendly and attentive. Special vegetarian requests are also very happy to be implemented.

We have eaten at this restaurant several times over the last 6 years, but unfortunately we have always been disappointed. Either the tomato sauce on the pizza was too salty or you were treated condescendingly. The worst thing, however, is the service. Every second visit our pizza was “burned” and had to be remade. This meant you had to wait about an hour and a half for your food. In general, all guests had to wait a long time for their food. However, some were lucky enough to only have to wait an hour. All in all, we have now decided never to visit this restaurant again and cannot recommend it to anyone! Pizza is tasty but not worth the wait.

A nice warm restaurant with fair prices.

Went to the Castello Belvedere for the second time today. The three of us had a starter (salad and carpaccio with truffle) and a main course (steak, king prawns and pizza). Everything was super tasty. The steak was supposed to be 250g, but it was significantly more. Quality top! Unfortunately we can't rate dessert, our bellies were full. We even had to have a part given to us (which, by the way, isn't a problem at all!). We made reservations straight away for New Year's Eve and luckily got 2 places.

The atmosphere is very nice in summer. You can see the entire spa park on the terrace. The food is very tasty and fresh. The staff is very friendly.

As always (every year) great welcome, really friendly and delicious food. (Just a bit very expensive...)

I had a Capricciosa pizza today and really enjoyed it. The pizza was very tasty and had reasonable toppings. Unfortunately I don't have a picture so you'll have to take one yourself. Schönes Ambiente, gutes Essen, aber nicht ganz billig

Als Gast der Sinntalklinik ist man offensichtlich generell unerwünscht. Wurde haben einen Tisch reserviert und wurden ins letzte Eck gesetzt, wo man uns sagte, das ginge nicht anders, weil alle Tische reserviert waren. 3 Stunden, die wir zum essen und trinken da saßen, kamen lediglich zwei weitete Gäste. Im la6fe des Abends wurde neben uns die Heizung zurückgestellt und erst nach viermaliger Bestellung bequemte sich eine Bedienung schlecht gelaunt zu uns. Am Schluss mussten wir alle vorne im Eingangsbereich Bar zahlen. Ein riesen kuddelmuddel, wo am Schluss keiner mehr wusste, was er zahlen soll und was er schon bezahlt hat. Wir wurden vom Chef spröde hingewiesen, dass das keine Bierkneipe wäre. Die Pizza ist mittelmäßig und anhand des kosteneinsparenden Belags seinen Preis von 11 bis 14 Euro nicht Wert

Nos alojamos en el hotel Dorint y nos recomendaron este restaurante. Ha superado ampliamente nuestras expectativas. Tiene un menú amplio (recomiendo la pasta al tartufo). Un saludo a todo el staff y hasta la próxima.

Das Essen war nicht besonders lecker . Es fehlte das bestimmte Gewürz. Sehr schlicht vorbereitet. Service mit geringe Deutschkenntnisse. Nicht freundlich. Komisches Verhalten. Der Chef war ziemlich grob . War nur an abkassieren interessiert. Es wurde uns als Gruppe mit großen Umsatz nicht mal eine Limonchello am Schluss angeboten. Geizige Chef. Ambiente sehr langweilig! Zweites mal komme ich bestimmt nicht.

Ein ganz hervorragendes Restaurant in einer der besten Lage in der Rhön. Die Küche ist wirklich sehr gut und der Service ist in jeder Beziehung perfekt, dazu nettes Ambiente und mehr als faire Preise. Hier wird für jeden Geschmack mit typisch italienischer Küche etwas geboten. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Mit Freunden bin ich jedes Jahr mindestens einmal bei Angelo in seinem gemütlichen Restaurant. Wir hatten ein Menü bestellt mit und jeder Gang war ein Highlight. Ob Fisch, Fleisch, Gemüse oder das Dessert. Optisch ein Hingucker und geschmacklich ein Erlebnis. Die Weine ausgefallen-da gab es nichts zu meckern. Der Service war immer präsent ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder

The food was good, but our bill was 10€ over with two drinks we didn’t order.

Vom Balkon hat man einen atemberaubenden Blick über den Schlosspark. Wir wurden für eine Familienfeier ganz toll empfangen und hatten einen wunderschönen Abend.

Wirklich gutes italienisches Essen und nette Bedienung. Die Location ist auch wirklich schön. Die Vorspeisenplatte war für 4 Personen auch super viel und sehr lecker. Das Tiramisu ist sehr zu empfehlen.

Wunderbare Lage mit Blick in den Park

Das Essen ist wirklich immer super. Es kann aber nicht sein das man immer was anderes bekommt als das was man bestellt. Das geht garnicht

Wir hatten uns gefreut: schöner Sommerabend, toller Blick, ... und reservierten im Vorbeigehen nachmittags für 19:30 Uhr an dem selben Tag. Der Ober sagte uns einen Tisch zu, zeigte ihn uns,- um 19:30 Uhr waren wir da. Der Tisch war vergeben, er hatte vergessen in den Belegungsplan zu schauen. Der abgegessene Tisch würde nach ca. 15 Minuten mit einem neuen Tischtuch etc. gedeckt, darufhin warteten wir ... nach weiteren 15 Minuten machten wir uns bemerkbar, bestellten den Appertitiv. Kennerin wirkt nett, spricht kein Wort Deutsch. Das weitere verlief analog: nach 1,5 Stunden kam das Essen (das Lokal mittlerweile fast leer), beim Zander vom Grill mit Steinpilzrn konnte man die Steinpilze suchen, selbst das Bezhahlen ging nur nachdem ich zum Tresen ging,... leider alles sehr enttäuschend. Schade!!

Schade. Die Lage ist super, das Restaurant hat einen tollen Aussenberreich. Das war’s auch schon. Wir bestellten einmal Zander vom Grill mit Steinpilzen und einmal Kalbssteak mit Steinpilzen . Der Zander „vom Grill“ kam, auf dem Teller lagen 4 kleine panierte Filetstückchen mit Gemüse und komischen „Bratkartoffeln „. Zander von Grill sieht anders aus. Wir reklamierten. Steinpilze vergessen, also nicht das bestellte Gericht von der Empfehlungskarte wurde serviert sondern ein Zander der hinten in der Karte steht. Sollte ebenfalls vom Grill sein. Der Kellner bot an, noch schnell Steinpilze zu bestellen. Wollte ich nicht. Und der Fisch wäre vom Grill. Die Panade wäre darum, damit der Fisch nicht auf dem Rost festklebt. So ein Quatsch. Die Kalbssteaks mit Steinpilzen schwammen in einer hellen Soße. Steinpilze waren da nicht raus zuschmecken. Auch dies bemängelten wir. Dieses Gericht wurde uns nicht in Rechnung gestellt. Als Entschädigung gab es einen Esspresso und einen Limoncello sowie eine Flasche Wein. Das fanden wir sehr nett. Haben dann noch großzügiges Trinkgeld gegeben, Aber trotzdem blieb ein unbefriedigendes Gefühl. Wir würden da nicht mehr hin gehen, da man sich veräppelt vorkommt.
