My favorite Italian restaurant. My absolute favorite was a salad with zucchini, arugula, burrata, bacon, and dried plums. I've been there several times just for the salad. So far, I've always gotten a seat, even without a reservation.

An absolutely outstanding Italian restaurant! From the moment you enter, you feel like you're in Italy – a warm welcome, lovingly set table, and the aroma from the kitchen immediately whets your appetite. The pasta is fresh and perfectly al dente, the sauces full of flavor and made with the finest ingredients. I was particularly impressed by the homemade burrata – creamy, tender, and simply divine. The service is attentive, friendly, and yet unobtrusive – you can tell the passion that goes into the work here. The wine selection is also impressive and perfectly matched to the dishes. A culinary experience you won't soon forget. Highly recommended – I'll definitely be back!

Well... based on a recommendation from my niece, we went there today to eat for my husband's birthday. We received a friendly welcome and were able to choose a table for two. For starters, we shared an antipasti plate, which was also really very good. Unfortunately, we didn't get the bread until after the starter. For main course, I had the pasta with shrimp (very tasty) and my husband had the Duroc pork fillet with vegetables and potatoes. The potatoes were missing. When I asked if it hadn't been served with potatoes, they first checked to see if there really weren't any potatoes on the table. The potatoes were finally brought; without an apology or anything else. After all, we had finished eating, finished our wine and water, and were actually waiting for someone to ask us about the dessert/coffee/schnapps we wanted. The waitress walked past us several times, served new guests, and ignored us. At some point, I just waved and asked for the bill. When I mentioned that we actually wanted to eat more, the blunt response was, "We have other guests." It's a shame, the food was really good, but the rest of the menu unfortunately didn't impress us.

A small menu, but a select selection of dishes. Service was very good, but the wait for the rum steak with red onion crust on mashed potatoes was very long. Firstly, as I already mentioned, the wait was very long. Secondly, the red onion crust wasn't made of red onions; it was just regular braised onions on top. I don't understand what a crust means. The presentation was also visually unappealing and, at €35, very overpriced. The dessert was delicious and met my expectations, both visually and in terms of price.

We commissioned Carmelo's catering service for a birthday party with around 80 guests – and were delighted in every way. The appetizers impressed with their variety, sophistication, and an exquisite selection of high-quality ingredients. Without any specific instructions from us, a harmonious ensemble was put together that impressed both in terms of taste and appearance. The main courses were in no way inferior: carefully prepared, perfectly seasoned, and with a noticeable focus on quality and freshness. Delivery was on time, and the entire catering was professionally organized and stylishly presented. Particularly noteworthy is the courteous and reliable service, which allowed us to enjoy the evening without worry. The value for money is more than fair, considering the quality offered and the smooth execution. Carmelo is an absolute recommendation for anyone who values ​​enjoyment, style, and reliability at their event.

We come from Bochum and are currently spending a weekend in Recklinghausen. All we can say is it doesn't get any better.

Italian cuisine as it should be. A lot of heart, a lot of love, a lot of hospitality. I have been a guest several times and you are always greeted personally. Food always comes quickly at lunchtime, which is perfect during the lunch break. The rooms are well-kept and cozy, nicely laid out so that everyone stays to themselves and you have peace and quiet. A culinary experience. The best Italian far and wide. The cuisine has a Sicilian touch and the dishes are breathtaking. The court menu is relatively small, but fantastic. We had antipasti, snails (Sicilian), veal liver and small stuffed octopus. Gladly again. Grazie Mille (lode al cuoco)

The vitello carpaccio, a successful combination of vitello tonnato and beef carpaccio, was also a real treat. The beef was thinly sliced ​​and the creamy tuna sauce topped it off perfectly. The rump steak as the main course? Fried to perfection, with a great crust – that really rounded off the evening. And the tiramisu? Loose and light, perfect for the end. The dessert was not only beautiful to look at, but also hit the spot. A sweet temptation that is not heavy on the stomach. Not to forget: the service was simply great! You immediately felt like you were part of the family. That was really fun and made the evening perfect. In addition, the price-performance ratio was really excellent. We were well looked after and we were even able to try out the homemade cocktails - they were also first class! Conclusion: If you are looking for high-quality Italian cuisine, Carmelo is the right place for you. Here there is not only good quality and taste, but also service and hospitality that will be remembered.

Well I have to say the food is great. It is very well seasoned, not too strong, not too weak and the service is very good and there was even a joke told that was quite good. The ambience of the restaurant is also good, everything is very well decorated and the restaurant has a “warm” design and is a restaurant that we can only recommend.

It's a great restaurant, the boss is funny, but oh, the service is quick and friendly. I'm 15 years old but he really made me laugh, I talked to my parents about the subject of career because I had to make a decision next year but he said: "You're 15, you should just see what life is like gives you" he also said different things and maybe I didn't put it exactly the way he said it, but for me it was a great experience. The second job was fantastic, as was the last one.

vor 2 Minuten NEU Das angeblich gute Essen kann nicht für die Unverschämtheit aufwiegen. Wir wurden trotz Reservierung weggeschickt! Wir hatten einen Tisch für 4 Personen bestellt und kamen nur zu dritt weil eine Person spontan erkrankt war. Man hätte für uns einen 5er-Tisch freigehalten (warum?? Wir hatten für 4 Personen reserviert!) und den könne man nicht nur mit 3 Personen belegen und wir hätten anrufen müssen und ihm mitteilen dass nur drei Leute kommen. Ich bin fassungslos und werde diese Lokalität nie wieder aufsuchen.

We had booked a table for 4 people and only three of us came because one person was spontaneously ill. They would have kept a table for 5 free for us (why?? I was there with my work colleagues (6 people) and everyone was thrilled with their food. Above all, you could feel the friendly and funny manner of the service, who tried everything to respond to each person's individual wishes and fulfilled them. Conclusion: Simply great. I continue to go there and especially with my family. Being there makes you forget everything else and you enjoy the time spent eating and being served.

Wir waren vor zwei Wochen in Recklinghausen und haben den Besuch im Carmelo sehr genossen. Der Empfang war sehr freudlich, das Ambiente ist modern, das Essen hervorragend. Leider kommen wir nur selten nach Recklinghausen, sonst würden wir regelmäßig dort zum Essen gehen.

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 6 Personen reserviert gehabt. Leider wurde eine Person bevor wir los wollten sehr krank und hat es körperlich nicht geschafft mitzukommen. Wir wollten ihm dann Essen aus dem Restaurant mitbringen. Der Kellner kam zu uns und hat gefragt, wo die 6. Person bleibt. Wir haben ihm erklärt, dass er krank ist und dadurch nicht mit konnte. Der Kellner verlangte von uns 25€ Stuhlgebühren und sagte, er hätte ja 7/8 Leute an unseren Tisch setzten können (obwohl es schon zu 5 etwas kuschelig wurde) und wurde dabei sehr arrogant und man konnte nicht wirklich mit ihm reden.

Sehr charmante, freundliche Mitarbeiter, hervorragendes Essen, guter Wein. Immer wieder ein besonderer Genuss.

Der authentischste Italiener im Umkreis von 300 km! Sehr gutes Essen in einem herzlichen Ambiente - Qualität und Geschmack unübertroffen - es gibt selten so ein perfekt abgestimmtes Essen! Abgerundet durch eine engagierte und attraktive Blondine als Bedienung, die mit ihren Kollegen jedem einen tollen Abend zaubert. Wir kommen wieder !

Nach ein paar Monaten Abstinenz bei Carmelo hatten wir uns am Samstag auf ein richtig leckeres Essen gefreut. Wir waren zu fünft und eingeladen zum Abendessen. Wir wurden sehr enttäuscht. Die Speisekarte war sehr abgespeckt, und auf einer großen schwarzen Tafel waren verschiedene Gerichte angeboten, wie wir es auch schon aus anderen italienischen Restaurants kannten. Vier von uns entschieden sich für die Involtini. Diese hatten allerdings die Größe deutscher Rouladen und waren nicht dünn gerollt, wie wir es aus Italien kennen. Die Qualität des Fleisches war nicht besonders zart. Wir haben ausgefallene Nudelgerichte vermisst, wie wir es sonst bei Carmelo gewohnt waren. Da wir eingeladen waren, und die Gastgeberin bei ihrem Fischgericht nichts bemängelte, haben wir nichts gesagt. Hervorzuheben ist die überaus freundliche Bedienung der uns betreuenden Servicekraft.

Es war ein kleines aber echt tolles Erlebnis. Sehr herzlich begrüßt worden in der sehr schönen eingerichteten Lokalität. Das Essen war von vorne bis hinten fein durchdacht, lecker und auch ein Schmaus für die Augen. Das Personal war auch einfach nur sehr lieb und es gab keinen Grund zur Beschwerde. Eine kleine Perle in der Recklinghäuser Innenstadt. Reservierungen sollte man am Wochenende auf jeden Fall tätigen. Wir kommen bestimmt mal wieder!

Absolut Klasse …. Vom Ambiente übers tolle Essen und dem mehr als professionellen Service ..

Nachdem wir an einem Freitagabend auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant hier zufällig eingekehrt sind, möchten wir uns nun als Fans outen! Selten haben wir uns so auf Anhieb so gut aufgehoben gefühlt . Perfekter, nicht aufdringlicher Service und dazu ein Essen in erstklassiger Qualität. Wir werden wiederkommen!!!!

Wir sind oft geschäftlich in Recklinghausen und waren zum ersten Mal spontan hier zum Mittagessen. Die Atmosphäre auf der Terrasse war sehr angenehm und ruhig. Innen sah es auch sehr gut aus. Alles war sauber und aufgeräumt. Der Service war sehr gut und freundlich. Eine Person hatte Vorspeise und Hauptgericht, die andere nur ein Hauptgericht. Vorweg gab es etwas Brot mit Kräuterbutter. Alles kam zeitlich perfekt abgestimmt. Ob das Abends, wenn es voll ist, auch so klappt, weiß ich natürlich nicht. Das Essen war sehr gut. Das Vitello Carpaccio für 12,50 € als Vorspeise war sehr gut. Auch die Cannelloni für 13 € von der normalen Karte waren auch prima. Das Duroc Schweinekotlette für 26,50 € von der Tageskarte war auch sehr gut. Für das Gebotene war das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis vollkommen in Ordnung. Wir haben das Lokal zufällig entdeckt bei einem kleinen Stadtbummel aufgrund eines ausgefallenen Termins. Wir werden sicher nochmal kommen.

Mein absoluter Favorit in Sachen gutes Essen in Recklinghausen. Hier passt einfach alles. Küche, Service und Ambiente. Tutto è semplicemente molto buono! Grazie!

Das Ambiente ist sehr einladend und gemütlich. Die Bedienungen waren sehr freundlich zuvorkommend und kompetent. Dadurch hat man sich sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Obwohl es sehr voll war konnten wir schon nach kurzer Zeit unsere Bestellung aufgeben und mussten auch nicht lange darauf warten. Die Qualität unseres Essens war sehr gut. Die Pizzen waren ein Genuss für den Gaumen und für's. Genauso stellt man sich eine Perfekte Pizza vor! Das Teramisu war für meinen Geschmack zwar etwas zu süß aber ansonsten wirklich lecker. Rundum wirklich alles sehr gut.

Wer Italienische Küche mag ist hier wirklich sehr gut aufgehoben, Ein schönes Gemütliches Modernes Restaurant, Service wird hier Groß Geschrieben 👌, die Zubereiteten Speisen waren wirklich ein Gaumenschmaus keine 0815 Küche sondern Wirklich sehr lecker.

Der Besuch war ein Erlebnis das wir so schnell nicht vergessen. Ristorante Carmelo können wir ohne Bedenken empfehlen.

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit schönem Ambiente und hervorragendem, abwechslungsreichen Essen. Hier wird alles frisch zubereitet, auch die Nudeln sind selbst gemacht und das Olivenöl ist aus Oliven von eigenen Feldern. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man fühlt sich sofort und die gesamte Zeit über wohl. Für dieses Essen haben sich die 75km fahrt gelohnt.

Pesto mit Büffelmozzarella und selbstgemachten Pistazienpesto, wirklich ein Traum. Ein noch größerer Traum war der Service, der den Abend erst zudem gemacht hat, der er war. Ein so charmanter, kompetenter junger Mann, der uns super leckere alkoholische Getränke gezaubert hat und jeden Wunsch von den Lippen ablesen konnte! Ein großes Dankeschön für diesen Abend.
