Ristorante Café Rossini in Hamburg

We were there on Friday evening. After initially having a very nice table at the edge, we were asked to take another one towards the restaurant entrance, which we accepted. There were free tables further back which - when we left - were still free. The service was bustling around us, it was very annoying and loud, and there was also an annoying birthday party right next to us. Conversations were only partially possible. The starter, breast pockets, was very tasty. Then came the truffle spaghetti, very dry and you should tell the cook that pepper and salt are part of it. I had to add a lot of seasoning. There was no drink offered at the end, as is usually the case at Italian restaurants. Conclusion: never go there again. And I can cook it better.

We wanted to have lunch at the restaurant and were served by an apparently irritated Italian gentleman. The first thing we ordered was a bottle of water and some bread. After he brought it to us, he asked us what we wanted to eat, obviously annoyed and unmotivated. We told him that we would like to look at the menu first and asked him to bring us ice cubes. When he came back with a bucket of ice, he slammed it onto our table and asked again in a demanding and very rude manner what we finally want to eat because he doesn't feel like going back and forth over every little thing. From that point on we could no longer put up with this outrageous behavior and it turned into an argument. Unfortunately, our argument got a little louder and a gentleman who worked there, who was probably of Arabic origin, came over and apologized for his colleague's behavior and made an effort to straighten things out, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately the whole atmosphere and our good mood had been so ruined that we didn't want to stay there for a moment longer and so we paid for the water and left . Unfortunately we can't judge the food, but in our opinion you won't have good service or a good time in the restaurant. We will definitely not visit this restaurant again.

Mediocre food that you can cook better at home. If you don’t get the salt level right for a pasta you have nothing to do in an Italian kitchen. Bread was dry too and the other dishes we had were nothing exceptional either. Atmosphere is ok but all in all not worth going. You can find better places.

Incredible experience! We should have just left straight away... Staff very unfriendly. Food (bruschetta) not good, didn't remind me of the well-known dish.. now outrageous prices. Penne Bolognese €12.50, very small portion with meat that you have to look for. The main course was simply forgotten, but it could have been kept, pizza was swimming in fat and didn't taste good. We would have liked to have had another glass of wine, dessert or a nightcap, but the service was such that no one came... We'd rather spend more money and go somewhere else where the service and food tastes good.

The worst Italian in all of Eppendorf: 1. Although we had reserved a table in advance, we were only graciously admitted after insisting. 2. Bland food arrived after 1.5 hours - supposedly because the order slipped through. 3. no compensation offered! Never again - rude, unfriendly service, lousy food.

Simplest Italian cuisine, nothing bad, but nothing more. When it comes to service, you need a thick skin. Generally a bit messy.

The wrong dish was brought (sea bream instead of burrata). OK, communication problem, that can happen. We took it anyway. Spaghetti Arabiata was totally sugary and not spicy. The worst thing, however, was the sour panna cotta. The cook just poked around stupidly and threw the spoon on the table and shrugged his shoulders. If you don't cool the panna cotta and then it has a bite, I don't even want to know what it looks like in the kitchen. A really bad shop.

If you want to eat well and don't value good service, this is the place for you. It doesn't make a mistake e.g. B. dirty tablecloths make the service bad, but the sum makes it. I was here with friends for the first time today and I ordered an Alsterwasser, my friends were given the drinks and I was told that there was no Alsterwasser, I could have a beer, which I refused and couldn't order anything because the waiter was already gone. It just wasn't canceled on the invoice. There was no bread for our table and my friends' still water was served with sparkling water. Even though we were still eating, the waiter cleared away the empty plates and demanded that my plate be handed to me. I refused, pointing out that my friends were still eating and had to listen to a monologue about their organization in the kitchen. Conclusion: I will not recommend this restaurant, even though the food was OK. A little more friendliness and joy in work would do the restaurant a lot of good. Best regards

Food is fine, but you could also make your own at home; The mood among the employees doesn't seem to be particularly good; One service person was particularly noticeable because of his slightly aggressive, lecturing manner towards us and other guests; Something like that is really bad for business; As a positive thing, I would like to mention that another waitress offered us parmesan and a second basket of bread;

Classic Italian dishes without any special highlights, but well and typically Italian prepared. Unfortunately, the ambience and service are subpar. The tablecloths are dirty, you also have to organize the napkins and cutlery as well as salt and pepper yourself. If you ask politely, you will be talked to stupid or ignored. It's a shame, but it's clear that there's a bad atmosphere here and the employees don't feel like doing their jobs. Good service is definitely different.

My regular Italian restaurant… on site several times a week. I'm looking forward to summer and the open terrace.

The meal was okay. The tables are very close together and it was very loud in the full restaurant. Conversations at the table were only possible to a very limited extent. The service was friendly but overwhelmed.

We love the Rossini. We're there sometimes in the evenings, as well as on Sundays with the kids during the day for a pizza. Pizza and pasta great. The portions are generous and the prices are more than fair. An Italian that everyone would like to have in their neighborhood. P.S. We've been there so often that I can say that the negative reviews you find are complete nonsense.

Great value for money! Ambiance is charming and reminiscent of the 90s. I find it familiar and cozy at Rossini. In summer there is a terrace.

The restaurant was not busy, being ca. 30% full. We waited for 45 minutes after ordering before the food came out. This was after asking why the delay. Unfortunately one pasta came out cold/undercooked :-( We did not get an apology or any explanation? We have now switched to a different weekly lunch restaurant.

That was underground. We were looking forward to a lovely evening yesterday. Since I've been to Rosini at least 40 times, I decided to have our Christmas party at Rossini. It was always great there. But yesterday was a disaster. Apparently the Rossini was sold. We got there, the table wasn't set yet, the table was unclean. Then we placed our drink orders. My employee ordered a cola and it came without carbonation. Returned. Then came 2 starter plates. The starter plates are available warm and cold. First came the cold one, I was amazed at how little there was on it and was surprised. The warm one didn't come at all, or rather after the main course. It was a disgrace how little there was on the starter plate. THAT IS NOT HOW IT WORKS. My ladies ordered pasta...It was swimming in oil. I had my fish soup returned. It was inedible. I'm really angry about it...the employee or owner was overwhelmed and apologized because there was probably a new cook in the kitchen. There can be no talk of a chef here. If you want to have a nice evening go somewhere else. I don't normally write reviews but we were so disappointed. NEVER AGAIN

Ich bin hier seit einigen Jahren immer gerne zum Mittagessen gewesen, im Sommer draußen. Aber in diesem Sommer wurde offenbar ein neuer Kellner eingestellt, der mich schon zweimal unfreundlich und pampig bedient hat. Das muss ich mir nicht mehr antun…

Um es gleich vorweg zu nehmen, ich kann die schlechten Bewertungen nicht verstehen. Das Essen war ausgesprochen lecker und im Preis angemessen. Wir hatten die hausgemachten Nudeln mit Trüffel. Die Nudeln waren ein Traum! Der Service war sehr aufmerksam. Wir freuen uns schon auf das nächste Mal!

Netter Laden, tolle Atmosphäre, faire Preise und sehr guter Service. Wir hatten 2 Vorspeisen, 3 x pasta und einmal die Leber. War alles super. Einziger Kritikpunkt, wenn man eine original Carbonara mit guanciale und ohne Sahne erwartet, wird man enttäuscht. Aber die Carbonara war dennoch gut.

Institution in Eppendorf mit viel Stammkundschaft.Gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis.Meine Pasta war sehr lecker.

Sehr schöne Atmosphäre in einer ruhigen Straße in Eppendorf. Karte ist simpel gehalten, wie in solchen Lokalitäten üblich. Preise sind etwas gehoben. Qualität ist gut. Würde aber vom Salat abraten, da dieser wie abgepackt wirkte.
