Very nice restaurant, right on the Main. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was great, I can only recommend it, we were very satisfied.

We had bruschetta, pizza and pinsa. Everything was super tasty and plentiful. I would also like to emphasize the child-friendliness. All of our daughter's wishes were taken into account, she was spoken to personally (not through us) and we waited very patiently when the decision on the drink took a little longer. We don't always experience that when it's full. Thank you!

Overall, we enjoyed the food at Café de Mar. The salad I ordered was very tasty and included goat cheese with honey, avocado and mango, but the roasted seeds were missing. There was pizza bread as a side dish. The ambience is very nice. Beautiful with a view of the Main. Overall, the service was mostly friendly and helpful. The orders came quickly.

Wonderful opportunity to sit by the Main and have something to eat... The pasta was great, the pizza was ok and so was the service. Plus delicious beer (Skt. Martinus) and a dream view over the river... - a great lunch stop for us!

I have visited Cafe del Mar several times and am generally impressed. But recent experiences have seriously disappointed me. The service has been in need of improvement in the past, but on our last visit this was taken to the extreme. My companion and I each ordered something to drink. After enjoying our drinks, we politely asked several times for the bill. It took all of 20 minutes until a bad-tempered young woman with long blonde hair finally served us. First of all - I completely understand stressful days and know how difficult it can be to use. However, I consider the following behavior to be inappropriate. When we asked if we could pay by card, we received a cold "no" without any explanation. Only after further inquiries were we informed in a bored tone that card payments would only be accepted for amounts over €50. Luckily we had cash with us and gave us a tenner each to cover our bill. However, the change was slammed onto the table without a word and in a rude manner. As a sign of our dissatisfaction with the service, we declined to tip, whereupon the waitress disappeared without a word. An older gentleman at the next table, who had already waited to pay before us, was still sitting there when we left the restaurant. This type of service is unacceptable and leaves much to be desired. I hope that management takes this feedback seriously and takes appropriate action to improve the service.

Extremely unfriendly staff. We left here after a small drink. Everyone here is treated like cattle and laughed at by the staff. I recommend walking 3 minutes to the Biergarten. They are friendly there and it is nice.

Great service, all the waitresses and waiters are super friendly! Best Italian in the area. Prices are also completely reasonable for the top quality!

The food was very tasty and really recommended

We were at Café de Mar for lunch today and had a very nice table directly facing the Main. The food was great, but the (only) female waiter (long blonde hair) didn't even say thank you for the 5 euro tip!! (Invoice amount: 120 euros). Despite the many wasps, she immediately took the "fly wagger" off the table, even though we hadn't finished drinking yet. When my very pregnant daughter kindly asked to leave the Wedler for a while until we had finished drinking (i.e. a maximum of 5 minutes), she said: "It's only for eating, drinks don't get wasps" and took it with her... no service-oriented behavior. Regardless, there was no toilet paper in one of the two women's toilets and the toilet seat was smeared with feces, obviously for a long time... at least 1 - 2 days!! I kindly pointed this out to the boss, his answer was "we'll take care of it", not a word of regret!! If the toilets are not kept clean and a waitress doesn't thank you for a 5 euro tip, that is a reason - despite the good food - not to visit this restaurant again.

Nice restaurant right on the Main. You can sit outside wonderfully, there are lots of shady places. There was no chest of drawers to change the baby, I was offered to change on the corner bench - great! Nice staff, everyone very friendly. We only had cold drinks and coffee, so no review of the food.

The restaurant is located directly on the Main. Wonderful view of passing ships. Trees and umbrellas provide shade. Friendly service, delicious food and a good range of drinks. Fair prices. Gladly again. Parking spaces are available. We just sat on the terrace, we don't know what it looks like inside.

After waiting for an hour! The Grill Lachs Final arrived, No more than 200g of Lachs a few potatoes and mushrooms, a few pieces of paprika and zucchini. In the end it's maybe 500g of food without any sauce! Me as an amateur cook I can do a way better job in less time. At these prices and they are ridiculous, you can do way better than "this".

Had the Spessart trout dish of the day. Large animal well fried, but then unfortunately coated thickly with garlic. You couldn't taste any more of the trout. I like garlic. Normal for Mediterranean dishes, but please not on a German trout. Service very polite and quick. Prices quite high. You sit outside on the Main. Very nice atmosphere.

Pizza was okay, but nothing special and partly black on the edge. For the money you can do better near the city. The location on the Main comes at the price of tons of flies and wasps when the weather is nice. All of this would be acceptable because you can't do much about it if the service wasn't completely overwhelmed and only moderately friendly and constantly seems to be running past you but not paying attention to anything. The house lemonade we ordered was the wrong one, the Cola-Wheat was rather lukewarm and when paying you had to wait half an hour until you were noticed and then reminded again, while the table next door reported later and was charged earlier. Tip 0, repetition factor 0.

Nice outdoor seating but not ONE vegan dish in 2024. If you're with a larger group, you just sit there and don't eat anything. Sad thing like that.

We were there for dinner while passing through. The meals were ok. The service was friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, you would have to remind the waitresses again that you should wash your hands after using the toilet. An invoice will only be issued upon express request and only then will the food and drinks be entered into the cash register. A rogue who thinks evil...

We were just there to have a drink. The view combined with the weather are really great. There is still a bit of catching up to do when it comes to service. Everything seemed a bit chaotic and it took a while before anyone noticed us. But maybe it's also due to the beginning of the season and you have to get used to it first. The service was friendly in any case.

Nicely located café, right on the Main. Unfortunately, the beautiful location cannot compensate for the subterranean service. The arrogance and unfriendliness we experienced during our visit cannot be put into words. Never again..... there are really nice cafés in Marktheidenfeld that may not offer a great view but offer a welcoming culture to the guest. And you can take a walk along the Main afterwards... that's definitely better than a visit to this café... too bad...

Nice restaurant located directly on the banks of the Main. You have a wonderful view of it from the garden restaurant. The service was attentive and friendly and the food came quickly and tasted excellent. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair. We'd love to come back.

The pizza was fantastic. The temperature of the beer was right. The devaluation was due to the fact that the regular portion probably doesn't fill a 'normal person'. But it definitely worked :)

More flexible than the other beer gardens. They are open outside when the weather is nice and not when the calendar says so. Johnny says they have the best pizza in Hädefeld.

The food was probably good, I had bruschetta as a starter and pizza, which also tasted good. Then, when my wife wanted to pay the bill, the blonde waitress got annoyed and told me there would be something on the lid. I was also supposed to pay. When I said that it was up to us how we paid, they were annoyed that we didn't give a tip. That was outrageous and we definitely won't be coming back. I didn't think of that!

Ich würde 10 Sterne geben wenn dies möglich wäre. Wir hatten uns von Salat, Vorspeise, Risotto, Pizza und Tiramisu komplett durchprobiert. Es ist absolut perfektes Essen gewesen von vorne bis hinten. Absolut super Preis/Leistungs Verhältnis. Die Portionen waren mehr als ausreichend. Es wurde auf alle Wünsche eingegangen. Man mußte kaum auf ein Gericht warten. Absolute Empfehlung 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 besonderer Dank an den Koch für das Kürbis Risotto! Das war Gaumenorgasmus!!! Man hätte es nicht besser machen können. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Tolle Location direkt am Main. Wir waren zum Abendessen dort, zusätzlich gab es wärmende Decken für die Frostbeulen. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Die Getränke und das Essen kamen sehr zügig und es hat richtig gut geschmeckt und die Speisen wurden auf den Tellern zudem schön angerichtet. Auf individuelle Wünsche bei den Maccheroni wurde ebenfalls eingegangen, klasse! Parken in unmittelbarer Nähe zum Lokal, großer Parkplatz. Preis-/Leistung akzeptabel. Einzig die Auswahl der Weine könnte etwas größer sein. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

Leider herrscht in dieser Außengastronomie nur Hektik, man fühlt sich nicht willkommen. Wir haben einen Aperitif bestellt, das Essen kam 5 Minuten später. Eigentlich wollten wir zum Essen noch einen Wein bestellen, aber dazu sind wir nicht mehr gekommen. Wir haben dann auf weitere Getränke verzichtet und sind gegangen.

Sehr schöne Lage und leckeres Essen

Sehr leckeres Essen. Schon lange nicht mehr eine so echt italienische Lasagne gegessen. Zwar etwas länger gewartet bis das Essen kam, aber es war auch viele Gäste da. Sehr netter Service. Die Ambiente passt zum Campingplatz.
