A very nice evening with delicious food.

Generally, the food tastes good. Everyone was nice, too. But you can only pay with cash or debit card. That's absolutely medieval. It's just standard practice for people to pay with their cell phones. If credit card fees are too high, then you need to change banks. Absolutely no-go.

Last night on the highway, we discovered that almost all German restaurants close at 8 PM, or at least the kitchens are already closed. But not Amici, which is open until midnight. Within 10 minutes, a delicious lasagna and a large, delicious pizza were on the table. Good quality for a nice low price. And within half an hour, we were back on the road. Highly recommended. Amici is worth the detour when only fast-food restaurants are open in the evening.

A nice restaurant in itself, housed in a hotel. We sat outside on the large terrace. My tuna salad was somewhat carelessly presented, hence a point deduction. The other people's food looked OK, but not outstanding. The taste was okay. Service: The conversation was very fast with an Italian accent, sometimes only understandable after repeated requests (and I wasn't the only one). Communication was spotty anyway, and we forgot a lot of things (there were about 12 people). The ambiance was okay, but unfortunately there was an occasional unpleasant smell; we suspected the sewer was to blame. Otherwise, though, recommended.

Great food. Too bad the waiter stole €10. So watch what you get back, because this is not the first time this has happened in 2 weeks.

We were guests here spontaneously. The service was very friendly and quick. The food was delicious and very good portions. We would love to come back here.

We wanted a shady table on the terrace. Huge, fairly fresh yellow stains on the tablecloth. Unfortunately we got the table exactly like that even though the staff took the full ashtray away from the table and saw the stains. Our question as to whether it would be remade was also skillfully ignored. I can't say whether it was because of the language. The stains on the seat cushions were also appropriately registered. For these two things there is also one less point. The food was actually really good. For the 3 of us there was a small bowl of green and black olives in a dressing and 4 slices of baguette. (The baguette isn't such a big deal) The olives aren't my thing but I was told they tasted good. The drinks came quickly and the food also came within a manageable time frame. I took a picture of my calzone as it was presented to me. It was something to smile about, I would say. Look for yourself. The mushrooms in the calzone were great and tasted good. The quantity was also good for the price. After paying we were asked if we wanted a grappa on the house. Also very nice. Summary: Food is good, but there is still something left on the plate. Drinks arrive quickly and I think there's also a good selection. Cleanliness on the table and seat cushions leave a lot to be desired. Unfortunately it doesn't fit together. But would come again because the price/performance is great.

The pizza tasted good but it was too expensive to take away. When I order a pizza, I can choose the size and am not forced to take a huge portion. At freddy fresh there is just as much on a small one as here on the large one, and it is pre-cut.

Food tastes good, one waiter is particularly intolerant towards children, the other waiters are not overly friendly but ok. I would absolutely not recommend visiting this local restaurant with small children.

Wir hatten uns für eine Familienfeier einen passenden Raum im Akzent-Hotel in Frankenberg gemietet und dort auch mit unseren Gästen übernachtet. Für die Gastronomie / das Catering an diesem Tag müssten wir mit dem Chef vom Restaurant Amici (im gleichen Haus) sprechen, wurde uns gesagt. Das haben wir zeitlich weit im Vorfeld getan, am Ende dann leider zwei ganz unterschiedliche Erfahrungen gemacht : Zum Mittagessen hatten wir 19 Plätze im Restaurant reserviert und a la carte gegessen. Das war praktisch "Restaurant-Standard", hat gut funktioniert, unsere Gäste waren zufrieden mit dem Service und auch mit dem Essen selbst. Ab der Kaffeetafel und für den Rest des Tages hatten wir dann unseren Raum im Hotel zur Verfügung. Weil das Restaurant Amici 14 Uhr schließt und erst 17 Uhr wieder öffnet, hatten wir Kuchen und Torte selbst bestellt und anliefern lassen, Kaffee + Geschirr kam vom Hotel. Weil dort aber ab ca. 16 Uhr niemand mehr im Haus ist, hatten wir zwei Kartons für die übriggebliebenen Reste bekommen mit dem Hinweis, wir sollten im Amici bescheid sagen und die würden die Kartons in die Kühlung stellen. Als es soweit war, gab's dann vom Restaurantchef zunächst komplette Ablehnung mit Sprüchen wie : Das Zeug ist ja nicht von mir, das geht mich nichts an, wo soll ich denn das hinstellen ? Erst als wir energischer geworden sind, hat er die Hotelchefin angerufen und dann ging es plötzlich doch. Ebenfalls mit dem Restaurantchef hatten wir vorab und rechtzeitig über das Abendessen gesprochen. Vorgestellt hatten wir uns ursprünglich eine Art kaltes Buffet mit verschiedenen Platten. Obwohl die Zutaten dafür in jeder Restaurantküche sowieso vorhanden bzw. ohne Aufwand beschaffbar sind, und dazu die Herrichtung zeitlich vorab möglich wäre, wurde unser Ansinnen rundheraus abgelehnt mit dem Hinweis : Wir sind ein italienisches Restaurant, so etwas machen wir nicht. Was uns dann als Buffet vorgeschlagen wurde, kam für uns nicht in Frage, weil wir damit unseren Gästen nur geringe Wahlmöglichkeiten geboten hätten. Ebenfalls abgelehnt wurde unser Angebot, uns selbst um darum zu kümmern und die Platten von einem externen Catering-Service liefern zu lassen. Das wäre ausgeschlossen, "fremdes Essen kommt nicht ins Haus" und das wäre auch zwischen Hotel und Amici vertraglich so geregelt. ( Was auf Nachfrage vom Hotel bestätigt wurde ). Also haben wir entschieden, dass unsere Gäste auch am Abend nochmal a la carte Essen können. Ebensowenig entgegenkommen wie beim Eingehen auf unsere Vorstellungen gab es dann auch noch bei der Essenszeit : Wollten wir eigentlich gegen 19.3o Uhr, was aber bei der Vorab-Absprache vom Restaurant-Chef ebenfalls abgelehnt wirde. Er legte uns auf 18.3o Uhr fest mit dem Hinweis auf den Arbeitsaufwand in der Küche, weil später das Restaurant voll wäre. Dazu mussten wir bereits am Mittag eine Liste abgeben, was unsere Gäste am Abend essen wollten. Damit die Küche vorarbeiten könnte.... ( was sie mit unserem ursprünglichen Wunsch - s.oben - noch einfacher gehabt hätte ) Übrigens : das Restaurant hat auch eine Außenterrasse, die natürlich Mitte Dez. leer war. Im Sommer sitzen da jedoch einige Gäste mehr als unsere 19 Leute, und da muss es ja auch gehen in der Küche. Fazit : Unsere Probleme hatten wir also mit diesem Service-Verständnis des Restaurantschefs vom Amici : Was unter den gegebenen Bedingungen der Gast wünscht und zu welcher Zeit, das interessiert mich nicht. Weil meine Küche damit überfordert ist, Bestellungen nicht nur auf den vorhandenen Plätzen im Restaurant, sondern auch bei 15-20 weiteren Gästen nebenan Hotel wunschgemäß zu und halbwegs zeitgleich zu realisieren. Damit sollte das Restaurant so einen (Knebel-)Vertrag mit dem Hotel gar nicht erst abschliessen. Oder alternativ seine Küche aufrüsten bzw. wenn das keine Option ist, wenigstens externe Caterer zulassen. Fairerweise zum Abschluß : Abgesehen davon, dass es im Vorfeld weder inhaltlich noch zeitlich ein Entgegenkommen gab, hat das, was zugesagt wurde, dann auch am Abend funktioniert. Unsere Gäste erhielten ihre Bestellungen zeitgleich, waren mit dem Essen zufrieden, ebenso mit dem Personal und der Getränkeversorgung im Laufe des Abends. Wir konnten sogar mit Karte zahlen. Das ist also - entgegen dem Zettel am Eingang - technisch durchaus möglich, offensichtlich allerdings unerwünscht.

We had rented a suitable room in the accent hotel in Frankenberg for a family celebration and also spent the night there with our guests. For gastronomy/catering on this day We were told we would have to speak to the boss of the Amici restaurant (in the same building). We did this well in advance, but unfortunately ended up having two very different experiences: For lunch we reserved 19 seats in the restaurant and ate a la carte. This was practically "restaurant standard", worked well, our guests were happy with the service and also with the food itself. From the coffee table onwards we had our room in the hotel at our disposal for the rest of the day. Because the Amici restaurant closes at 2 p.m. and doesn't open again until 5 p.m., we ordered cake and cake ourselves and had it delivered, and coffee and dishes came from the hotel. But because there is no one in the house after around 4 p.m., we were given two boxes for the leftovers with the advice that we should let Amici know and they would put the boxes in the refrigerator. When the time came, the restaurant manager initially completely rejected it with sayings like: This stuff isn't mine, it's none of my business, where should I put it? Only when we became more assertive did he call the hotel manager and then it worked suddenly. We also spoke to the restaurant manager in advance and in good time about dinner. We originally imagined a kind of cold buffet with different platters. Although the ingredients for this are available in every restaurant kitchen anyway or can be obtained without any effort, and it would be possible to prepare them in advance, our request was rejected outright with the comment: We are an Italian restaurant, we don't do anything like that. What was then suggested to us as a buffet was out of the question for us because it would have offered our guests only limited options. Our offer to take care of it ourselves and have the plates delivered by an external catering service was also rejected. That would be out of the question, “foreign food is not allowed into the house” and that would also be contractually agreed between the hotel and Amici. (Which was confirmed by the hotel when asked). So we decided that our guests could also eat a la carte in the evening. Just as there was no accomodation when it came to our ideas when it came to dinner time: we actually wanted to have it around 7:30 p.m., but that was also rejected by the restaurant boss in the advance agreement. He scheduled us for 6:30 p.m., pointing out the amount of work in the kitchen because the restaurant would be full later. To do this, we had to make a list at lunchtime of what our guests wanted to eat in the evening. So that the could prepare the kitchen... Conclusion : So we had our problems with this understanding of service from the restaurant manager at Amici: What the guest wants under the given conditions and at what time doesn't interest me. Because my kitchen is overwhelmed by having to process orders not only for the existing seats in the restaurant, but also for 15-20 other guests next door to the hotel as requested and at least at the same time. This means that the restaurant shouldn't even sign such a (gag) contract with the hotel. Or alternatively, upgrade your kitchen or, if that's not an option, at least allow external caterers. To conclude, in fairness: Apart from the fact that there was no accommodation in terms of content or time in advance, what was promised also worked in the evening. Our guests received their orders at the same time and were satisfied with the food, as well as with the staff and the drinks provided throughout the evening. We were even able to pay by card. So - contrary to the note at the entrance - this is technically possible, but obviously undesirable.

We were here for a small celebration. The food is highly recommended, but it was a little louder in the evening when the restaurant was full.

It was a really nice and delicious evening in this restaurant. We had a starter, main course and dessert and we were never disappointed. If anything, you could say that the food was a little lacking in salt throughout, but you can adjust the seasoning for that. Better than the other way around. The menu is quite extensive, but not too big, so you don't feel like you're not doing justice to all the dishes. We were a larger group and we tried almost everyone's food and we all thought each other's food was great. What should be highlighted here is the beef, which we rated as perfect. The restaurant itself doesn't look like much from the outside and looks like a standard restaurant attached to a hotel. You might think that it is a restaurant in the winter garden. But the inside is nice and quite big. The volume is okay and the staff is attentive and always friendly. The prices were okay. Adequate for a good Italian, but not too expensive. Sure, you pay a little more for a good piece of meat. Conclusion: Overall a success, very tasty food, friendly staff and at the end the women also received a free bottle of coconut limoncello. The price-performance ratio was okay.

So I was there once for dinner and then once just to have a glass of wine, I'm really happy. At the beginning I was skeptical because I had heard several times that the tablecloths looked bad, that there was food on them and that the staff was unfriendly. I can't confirm either one or the other. I'm very satisfied

Amici has always stood for competence and excellent quality. Starting back then in Oederan and now many years later in Frankenberg. I can still confirm my experiences from back then. Despite the restaurant being fully booked, we were served quickly and friendly and all the dishes were absolutely delicious. As a farewell there was a lollipop for the kids and a bottle of limoncello for the ladies. Where else can you find such hospitality these days? Personally it was just a bit too loud for me, but I'm also very sensitive to that.

The service is friendly, but unfortunately doesn't come to the table too often. The food is very good, everything is fresh and hot. There are enough parking spaces available. Unfortunately no card payment possible, only cash. However, you only find out about this when you request the invoice. It's not enough that there's a note hanging at the entrance, we simply overlooked it.

We were there shortly after the opening and were very disappointed at the time. Now tested again with the result that you can actually eat the pizza. But when I read carbonara with cooked ham, cream and there's also a curdled egg in it including egg white, then I don't know for the life of me how a decent Italian can serve that.

It's been a long time since we've been to Amici. I have to say, my food was very tasty and everyone else who had it was also very satisfied. There was really nothing to complain about except the volume when the economy was completely full. But this is a problem that perpetuates itself. If you don't understand anything, you talk louder and of course the others do too. By the way, the dog is allowed in. Very nice!

herrlich ! ganz einfach nur herrlich -reserviert für 3 Personen Wunschplatz im Aussenbereich. Das Servierpersonal freundlich und schnell von Aufnahme bis zum Servieren der Getränke. Die Zeit bis Vorspeisen kamen war relativ kurz -die Hauptspeisen kamen zuügig -zwischendurch kamen die Kellner und fragten nach der Zufriedenheit - besser geht nicht.Speisenqualität sehr hoch.

We had already been here once for grandma's birthday party, and I was very disappointed. I gave the restaurant another chance after 2 years... it was a good decision. The pizzas are reasonably priced and taste very good. The staff is sometimes a bit grim, not unfriendly... but a little more motivation wouldn't be bad.

Food was good. You can sit comfortably in the beautiful garden. But: The bill was incorrect (3 main courses and more drinks were charged for 2 people, which unfortunately turns the good impression into a negative one.

Portions too small for my taste, if you have special requests explain in detail otherwise it might not work. I would have liked to have a long drink or something similar, but unfortunately the menu didn't allow for that, nor did I have an aperitif. The taste was ok and the service was good attentive.

We were there and after drinking a late coffee we weren't that hungry for dinner and wanted to share two pizzas with three people. We were denied that. Something like that wouldn't be possible. We ended up ordering 3 pizzas and the expected leftovers weren't packed. The food itself was excellent, the ambience was also good but the Italian music was a bit loud. We won't be back even though the food was good.

The terrace is nice. But our meal was a disaster we had a Bolognese and honestly I thought the cook was ten times better. That was a bottle of ketchup with a little more mince, sorry but that doesn't work without any spices, that was the last time!! The waiter had forgotten his laughter in the cellar!!

A really tasty restaurant with really great staff. Not only was our food really delicious, but above all we felt like welcome and fully cared for guests. There was an unpleasant incident with another guest and the wait staff resolved this situation in an absolutely exemplary, loving and hospitable manner. I can only recommend the Ristorante. Went here as a family with 2 children and we really enjoyed it. A misunderstanding about the drinks was immediately cleared up without any problems. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Since there were several families there, the children hardly noticed a little noise. Everyone involved enjoyed the food and the quantity was appropriate. Overall just beautiful.

Unfortunately, the calzone wasn't quite cooked through, the pasta with fillet tips was good. The mixed ice cream for dessert was really cheap, bad in taste and a bit old.

Ambiance is ok, just a bit loud. Staff friendly and helpful. Sometimes drinks had to be ordered twice. Food not that great. Pizza base tough and difficult to cut. Topping cold and cheese not gratinated. Salad drowned in balsamic dressing. Chicken, mushrooms, vegetables... Everything looked the same brown and unfortunately only tasted like the dressing. Were very disappointed and probably won't come again.

We were lucky and got a table for two without a reservation. Staff was super friendly and accommodating. Great service from all employees. Jacket is removed and taken to the cloakroom. The food recommendation from the waiter and greeting from the kitchen were great. There was sea bream with garlic-chilli spaghetti and tuna steak with crispy beans and rosemary potatoes. I can say it was very tasty. Then desserts, espresso and finally a grappa. We felt like we were on holiday in Italy here. Thanks to the Amici team!!! We would love to come back 😁🤩👍

It is always a great experience to meet up with family and friends in this restaurant. The service and cuisine are simply fantastic. Every guest is warmly welcomed and you have the feeling of being at home. Definitely worth a visit. I can only recommend it.

Wir haben uns hier wohl gefühlt. Obwohl das Restaurant bis zum letzten Platz belegt war, hat der Service gepasst. Essen hat insgesamt sehr gut gepasst. Das Carpaccio war sehr gut als Vorspeise, Hauptspeisen waren auch gut, einziger Punkt waren die übergarten Nudeln. War das jetzt die Anpassung an den lokalen Geschmack? Den abschließenden Grappa aufs Haus haben wir stehen lassen, der hätte den guten Eindruck kaputt gemacht...

By far the best Italian in the area! Table received for Valentine's Day, beautifully decorated tables, romantic atmosphere. We had a pizza and a calzone, food came super quickly and was very, very tasty! I always come here, the staff is also really friendly and accommodating. Price performance really top! €29.00 for two drinks and two main courses. The boss came to the table personally and offered an aperitif on the house; I couldn't say no to that. Always my pleasure!!

Mein Besuch in der Pizzeria Amici war insgesamt durchschnittlich. Die Wartezeit und das Ambiente waren in Ordnung. Als Vorspeise wurden trockenes Weißbrot und Oliven serviert. Die Bedienung wirkte dabei recht unfreundlich und distanziert. Das Essen selbst war nichts Außergewöhnliches und für Frankenberg zudem recht teuer. Der Salat schmeckte leider wie ein typischer Fertigsalat aus dem Supermarkt, mit übermäßig süßem Dressing. Die Pizzen waren okay, jedoch etwas fad. Der Rand war zu hart gebacken. Die Messer waren völlig stumpf. Während des Essens wurden wir nicht nach unserer Zufriedenheit gefragt. Alles in allem war der Besuch in der Pizzeria Amici zwar in Ordnung, aber es gibt definitiv Raum für Verbesserungen. Ich persönlich würde wahrscheinlich nicht erneut dort essen. Die Parksituation war hervorragend.
