Ripieno in Berlin

It's a place we went to with our host in Berlin. He discovered it a few years ago and has been a regular ever since. It was a Sunday afternoon and the place was practically packed, thankfully we had a reservation. To start, we ordered a pizza to share, which was delicious. The crust was thin and crispy with a simple but tasty topping. Then, we each ordered a pasta dish. I had spaghetti amatriciana and tried the other two. They were all good, the pasta cooked perfectly. Perhaps the amatriciana was a little spicy for my taste. Everything was well accompanied by a Peroni beer. For dessert, we shared the tiramisu. The best part of the afternoon, with all the flavors of the ingredients perfectly integrated and balanced. It's a restaurant in a residential area away from the hustle and bustle. You can tell that thanks to their good work they've managed to build a loyal clientele because there wasn't an empty table and they even had a second seating. There was a very family-friendly atmosphere. The service from all the staff was impeccable. The prices were reasonable for the quality of the food and the service. If I'm ever in Ibiza, I'll definitely stop by and try out their branch in Spain.

There were two of us at this Italian restaurant, and we were absolutely delighted. The cuisine is typically Roman! We had two pinsa, both of which were delicious – crispy, fresh, and generously topped. For dessert, we had a classic Italian tiramisu, which was truly excellent (you don't always find this quality tiramisu in Berlin). We'll definitely be back! 🥰

We tried the restaurant but were unfortunately disappointed. Only one person was working (taking orders, clearing tables, bringing food) on a Saturday afternoon when the place was very busy. Furthermore, the door was left open despite the -3°C outside temperature. When I asked for it to be closed, I was told it had to remain slightly ajar. :( The food wasn't particularly good. The bruschetta was bland, as were the olives. The porcini mushroom pasta was tasteless, with too little sauce, and the portion was quite small. The cacio e pepe with pistachio pesto could have used more flavor; it was very mild, with only a faint pistachio taste. All in all, unfortunately not worth the money.

A simple yet welcoming place, and the food is homemade and delicious. We loved the Pinsa Elvira and Pasta Arrabiata.

The pasta was perfectly aldente and sauce was delicious. The waiter was so patient and helped us choosing our food because we don't eat pork or speak German. He was also very funny 😁

ordered with Wolt and added note for gluten free pasta; they sent regular pasta. when i called to confirm the next time, they said “we don’t do delivery”. waste of money. Update: Yeah they’re response is a lie. I didn’t mention anything about the mixup the first order. I called the second time to ENSURE they could do gf via Wolt. The persons response was “we don’t do delivery”, repeatedly, which is what i’m taking issue with. I spoke clearly, indicated i would be ordering via Wolt and adding a note. it’s the person who answered who couldn’t speak any german.

One of new fav places. They are small and cozy and authentic. I don’t usually go to many Italian places because of how commercialised most of them are and but this one I finally felt worth going back to. Try whatever, you are bound for a treat. Pictures talk a lot more than just words.

I want to give this restaurant a huge compliment. I was absolutely thrilled with the carbonara and the tiramisu. I haven't had such an excellent carbonara in a long time. The last one was in Italy, in Tuscany. And with this carbonara, I truly felt like I was back there. An absolute explosion of flavor! Highly recommended if you're in Berlin.

A nice little Italian restaurant. They don't have a huge menu, but it's fine for a light meal. Unfortunately, the seating isn't very comfortable. There are no backrests on the chairs, and you don't have much time to linger because the tables are booked several times a day. Reservations are definitely recommended. I've heard they're moving soon.

It was delicious! Just like in Italy! I deducted a point for the atmosphere because the place looks a bit shabby and the menus are outdated, but honestly, it doesn't spoil the experience at all! I'll definitely be back! The prices are very reasonable. I recommend it to everyone.

Excellent pasta and to-die-for tiramisu!

I recently grabbed a coffee there. They were kind enough to let me in a little early before the usual opening time. The service was excellent, and the Americano was an incredibly reasonable 2.50€.

Delicious food, the pasta is homemade. The dessert, for example the tiramisu, was simply amazing 😋. The atmosphere is rustic, but very cramped and unfortunately very cold by the door 🥲.💞

The food was very good! Unfortunately, the staff's German skills were inadequate. I ordered three Cokes and received two… after explaining the problem, I suddenly received two more?!? One of the pasta dishes was also wrong. After explaining, the lady suddenly came with a third pasta of the same type, but it was still wrong?? All in all, a very nice little restaurant with good food. The place was very crowded, which probably explains the chaos.

The food came quickly and tasted good. Depending on how busy the place is, you sit a bit close together, but it's fine. I can definitely recommend it. 🍝

Unfortunately, the service is poor. They were rude. The food is okay, but the service was definitely not. I felt uncomfortable. The restaurant is also too small, and you can't talk too loudly, although it's hard to understand other people.

Went here yesterday, the food was really good. We had a truffle pasta and cacio e pepe pistachio. I would defiantly recommend the cacio e pepe. The workers were really nice and helpful, they helped us pick a wine. Would definitely come back excited to try the pizza.

You walk in, and it feels very familiar. The atmosphere is relaxed, with the guests and my little dog 🙂 The food was good, though it lacked a bit of salt here and there. Or the pinsa could have been a bit crispier for me. But it wasn't a big deal.

Truly excellent Italian pasta, thankfully not yet discovered by TikTok bloggers. Located in a rather picturesque corner by Berlin standards, with a small terrace and a view of the railway line, which here is almost a sea view. The cacio e pepe with pistachios and burrata is highly recommended. It's often full, but you'll always get a table eventually. On some days, however, they don't accept cards.

How good does pasta have to be to subject yourself to this "service" again? Yes, the porcini mushroom pasta was delicious. Very. The "service" was abysmal. At first, we wanted to sit outside. We moved after all; the table and chairs were too wobbly for us. We sat inside and were asked to change tables, which were reserved from 6:00 PM. A sign to that effect? ​​None... It was around 4:45 PM, and our assurance that they would be ready by 6:00 AM was ignored... or did they not understand us? Actually, they only spoke English to us... or a mixture of German and Italian. We sat down. The table was wobbly. Instead of taking our order, they started chatting LOUDLY IN ITALIAN. Right next to us, the only customers. Again and again, one of the two ladies came to the table, stuck something on it... She left... stuck something on it again... took the sticker with them, stuck it on another table... the times were probably meant to be reservation times... Did they have to use our table, the table of the only guests inside, as a desk? We tried to talk between the palaver. It was a very important conversation... Time and again, one of us had to pause because it was simply getting too LOUD. I had already warned my companion: "I've had enough..." At the next interruption, I stood up... my companion intervened to calm things down: "Excuse me? They're really talking very loudly. We'd like to talk." Reply: "We're having a meeting here." Me: "You're open. We're guests. We'd like to talk." The volume was reduced slightly. What do I need after six weeks out of Berlin for this "service," especially since it's almost only and automatically in English!

Food was oke, but the Guy, I presume the owner, has to learn how to respectfully communicate with the staff. Shouting in an aggressive way, when something is wrong even louder, and is acting degrading towards them. At this person. Do better, at the ladies. Great service from you, do not let this guy treat you this way. Disrespectful.

Food absolutely delicious and home made pasta, decent portions, amazing tiramisu. Waiters friendly but unfortunately waiting time for food without any on-time explanation/apology approx. 45mins from ordering on Saturday. I guess other days would be better for the visit. Other than that, all good.

This Italian restaurant is the most memorable spot I’ve discovered this year. As a lover of Italian food, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed—the most delicious dishes I’ve ever tasted, with such a fun vibe. The staff are very entertaining and friendly. Spaghetti with pistachio cream and burrata was creamy, aromatic, and simply delicious. We were especially impressed by the ravioli with ricotta and mushrooms.

This is the case when the taste of the food justifies the long wait for the order. It seemed that there was not enough staff and the processes were not well-organized, the plates were chipped. But the dishes are very tasty and the portions are large.

Unorganised service but food is perfect in every way

Supposedly the best pasta in our dysfunctional capital. And I have to honestly admit, that's probably true. Now, I certainly don't know all the Italians in Berlin, but I know quite a few, and here at Ripieno, I've truly had the best pasta I've ever eaten. The Sardinian service is incredibly fast, always friendly despite the stress, and not only speaks English, which is now ubiquitous in Berlin (I don't like it; German is actually still the official language in our banana republic), but thankfully also German. She sometimes even quarrels with her colleague in the kitchen in Italian, which I think is great; it gives the whole atmosphere an even more authentic touch. I had pasta with wild boar, a bit more expensive, but okay for Berlin. The espresso is good, the Aperol, at €7, is more expensive than in Italy, but cheaper than in Amsterdam (I work there and always have something to compare it to). The ambiance is unpretentious, rather simple, no-nonsense, simply cozy. I'd gladly go back.

Ripieno serves delicious, authentic Italian food, with an Italian chef, of course. The atmosphere is wonderful, open and relaxed, and the food is delicious. The prices are reasonable. Parking is easy and free. We really felt like we were getting away from it all. Ripieno is located on the corner of a beautiful row of red buildings. They're on the first floor with a lovely terrace.

Tanta roba!!! We spotted this place a while ago, always full and were curious to try it. It turned out to be a genuine little corner of Italy with plenty of passion all around and most importantly great pasta and pinsa! Pinsa was light and crunchy, as a starter, nice with burrata. Then we had some majestic Gricia bucatini - amazing and generous in taste and portion size, lots of cheese and black pepper along with crispy guanciale. We finished with a superb tiramisù and all along it was fun to chat with the owner. Fantastic also value for money, prices are super fair. Will come back!

Got attracted by a quote ‘down to earth Italian’. Have to say this was so authentic Italian that I was amazed. Food was immaculate, we had mushroom truffle pasta, piazetta with parma ham and buffalo cheese and tiramisu. The atmosphere came from the Italian conversations of the owners serving. Be aware it’s a small place with simple wooden chairs but full of atmosphere and fantastic food!

Good, but beware of overbooking. We had an hour and thirty minutes for dinner without being notified beforehand. Service and dinner were rushed. Tables had to be cleared, the next customers were waiting. This is not done!!!!!!!!

Server lost the order ticket. Food showed up hour later. The owner is walking around and never came to apologize.The food gets a passing grade.It must have been bring your dog night on the patio. 2 dogs at tables.

We were hunting and craving for a decent cheesecake and got this place as a suggestion from Google and the cheesecake, the service, the place , the vibe and the host server did not disappoint!! We ended up not only having the best cheesecake with pistachio topping but also tried their lovely cappuccino and pinsa and everything was awesome 👌 Would love to be back again !

Huge Deception! Service hectic still friendly though. Meat ball Pasta with no taste at all, no seasoning, no salt… i dont know how can you serve such a pasta in italian place! The Pinsa dough is heavy and also lacking salt and the sauce has no taste! In all a very bad experience. Not recommended for people who respect food

Impeccable service! And reading people judging amatriciana when they are used to cooking it with onion and bacon makes me shudder! Amatriciana is made with guanciale and without onion! I have tried all their pastas! And they are all original and good! P.s. I am Italian and Roman!

Unfortunately, the food wasn't that good. The tomato sauce/tomato paste was uncooked and poorly cooked; it tasted like metal. The pasta was very stiff, which is a shame, especially since the prices aren't cheap.

Despite the restaurant being full and without a reservation, we still managed to get a free table spontaneously, which was fantastic. The overall ambiance is very harmonious. Minimalist meets Italian chic. The service was also very good overall. Unfortunately, the dessert (tiramisu) took too long to arrive. The pasta with truffle and porcini mushrooms was very good, but the truffle-filled ravioli was only semi-good (it lacked salt and more flavor in general). I'll definitely be back!

I was curious to try the Roman pinsa and I must say I was very satisfied: good and delicious. The owner, Vincenzo, is the classic Roman, friendly and kind, always with a joke ready. Very helpful and friendly. The service is friendly and welcoming. It will definitely be a regular stop for pizza or Sunday pinsa!

Excellent food, children's dishes also available, unfortunately we had to wait almost 1 hour for our food on a Sunday afternoon with children, even though it wasn't exceptionally busy.

Unfortunately we had a really disappointing time. The owner is nice but unfortunately everything else didn't work. We got 2 different pastas. One of them was ok, nothing amazing. The other was a basic carbonara that was flavourless and way over cooked. After complaining that we can't eat it they told us it's not possible because the cooking is the same. We obviously didn't eat it. In the end they charged us about half the price for the dish we didn't eat because it wasn't good. We left hungry. We heard they used to be good but unfortunately it seems like they can't handle the amount of dishes they have to cook these days.

I am very glad that in the vicinity of Park am Gleisdreieck there is a place with such good food! What is more, in a building characteristic of Berlin. I visit this park very often, now I will also visit Ripieno. We were surprised that with an almost full garden we got a table outside. Delicious pasta with very good quality products, and very good wine! The prices are very affordable and we were surprised that you can eat such good Italian food and not be scared of the bill. The service is smiling and very communicative. I recommend visiting Ripieno!

The food and service were good overall, but I was quite disappointed with the portion size of the cacio e pepe I ordered. Compared to my friends dish and other plates I saw around me, mine was noticeably smaller. It would be great if portion sizes were more consistent , I could see the bottom of my plate and finished the pasta in just 4 or 5 bites.

The best and most authentic pasta I've had in Berlin so far. The pasta was perfectly al dente, a generous portion, and tasted authentic, just like in Italy. The pistachio tiramisu was amazing. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended 🇮🇹🤌🏽

The owner's answer is only partially correct. We came and hadn't reserved a table, but he sat us at a table. After we sat there for about 10 minutes without being able to place an order, I went to the counter and was more or less ignored. After 15 minutes we left and he followed us and asked: "What's wrong guys?" We had the feeling of being unwanted, either you tell the guests that you don't have room for them or you don't. However, I would like to point out that the innkeeper seemed very overwhelmed trying to do everything at the same time, and it was certainly not his intention to ignore us/me.

The starters came for dessert and the olvis we ordered never came (we remembered the waitress 3 times)

I sat down at an empty table and waited 10 minutes. The waiter walked past me 5 times and ignored me. Then he told me the table was reserved. This can be seen on a sticker (1x1 cm in size). When I asked him how I was supposed to know that, he became snarky. Never again Ripieno!

For appetizers, we ordered the special bruschetta (which was more like toasted bread with toppings) and a portion of olives, which were quite small. Even though the entrees were a disappointment, the pasta with salsiccia and the one with burrata and pistachio were quite tasty and to the perfect al dente point. Service was too slow and not really friendly. The restaurant was full, and the tables were too close to each other. Reservation is recommended.

We tried it several times because we liked Ripieno in its old location so much, but we won't be returning in the future. The waiting times are forever long (at least 30-40 minutes, today we waited over 30 minutes for 2 portions of pasta at lunchtime). Several people who were there before us asked the service when their food would finally arrive because they had already been waiting so long. So we were not the exception. When the food finally arrived it was only lukewarm and the ravioli was even cold. In terms of taste, it was just okay, there was a lack of salt, among other things. The service is helplessly overwhelmed, so you have to wait for minutes even to pay. The store is very tightly stocked both inside and out, which I understand even less given the fact that you have to wait so long for your food. Overall, unfortunately not recommended, especially not at lunchtime.
