Delicious food, flavors and presentation! We had a couple fish starters (tartar, ceviche) followed by truffle pasta and pork belly (was supposed to be steak but they messed up and comp'ed our pork). The starters were a highlight. The truffle pasta was flavorful but too heavy (too much butter). Pork was really good. Chocolate dessert (also comp'ed) had too much salt (skip). I take away a star for price. 22€ for a little ceviche is crazy. It tasted great but at these prices, I might as well fly to Peru.

The restaurant is kinda cute in a nice location. However, for the service, and for the food it is heavily overpriced. Small portions, the food is good but nothing special. The truffle pasta and the Cevice are definitely the highlights, but not worthy of the high price

Me and my friends ordered a truffle pasta yesterday. No one could digest it, some , including myself woke up with stomach aches and as I’m flying back home I still feel a weird sensation in my stomach. I’m not sure what was in it but make sure you improve your recipe as it’s awful.

went for my birthday with a group of people, spent a considerable amount of miney on food that was good, but 5 out of 7 people ended up having a bad time in the toilet that night due to food poisoning. the restaurant didnt take our calls, didnt respond to our email and didnt reply to my instagram message. i had such a good time that i wasnt even complaining, more like just wanted to give the restaurant a heads up in case they needed to check whatever, but ended up feeling incredibly disrespected bc of their lack of response and therefore lack of having a care in the world if they give people food poisoning. just dont bother spending your money here

Absolutely delicious south American restaurant. The flavors of every dish we’ve tried were strong, clear and perfectly balanced. Ceviche is top, octopus to die for, the bacalao was literally amazing. The chocolate desert topped with olive oil - I’m still dreaming about it. Everything is studied in details. Maracuja sour was very well done. The service is attentive and kind, which is very refreshing for Berlin’s standards. Thank you very much, we will definitely come back again!

Every time I visit, I like this unusual place even more. The service is good, but the culinary offer is just perfect. The concept is to share several dishes, which I like anyway. We have actually tried every single dish by now and it is hard to name a favourite. But the scallops really stand out as a special. Still 5 * from me, please stay as you are.

We ordered kingfish tartare, grilled octopus, pork belly and bacalao. The best dish was the octopus and it was absolutely delicious. The other dishes are so so for their price. When it comes to service, they didn't tell us they only accept cash at the beginning and only told us when we ordered our food. Given the prices of the dishes, we didn't have that much cash with us and the nearest ATM charges €6 per withdrawal (with non-EU bank card). They didn't offer any solution and just simply said it was what it was, which was not helpful at all. A very bad experience overall.

This restaurant is very good with a Latin vibe. Took the beet as starter, bacalo fish for main and panacota as dessert. Well executed and balance is close to perfection. To me, 2 exceptions : the coriander jus with the bacalo fish was too salty as unbalancing the dish. As well as the panacota was too sweet. Apart from that, the atmosphere of the restaurant and the service made it a perfect evening !

For sure not what it used to be. Exceptionally bad service and the five dishes we had were all mediocre at best and ridiculously expensive for what they were (the chef changed, I think, too?). I was a frequent visitor in earlier times but this was the last time for sure.

Fabulous restaurant. Amazing food and cocktails, friendly and professional staff. Just a joyous, faultless experience. Best food we had in our whole stay in Berlin and did I mention the sublime cocktails!!!!

While the place is cozy and the atmosphere pleasant, there is obviously a lack in communication and service. We just finished a meal. At the end of a two hour stay we were told the credit card machine wasn’t working and we would have to pay cash. We didn’t have any and had to make a 20 minute walk to search for an atm. The manager had apparently called all the people on the list and missed us bc we were in transit flying over here. One would think they’d notify us about the cash-only requirement upon entering the place OR compensate with a complimentary dessert or wine for our inconvenience. Your food is interesting but big thumbs down for poor service you guys!

My review was long overdue. This has been hands down one of the best food experiences I’ve ever had in Berlin. Amazing menu and great service. The only thing I would add is a bigger wine list for the reds. Nevertheless, I would definitely return to be amazed.

The food is really quite good. Except that the truffle noodles were actually swimming in oil. The portions are really small and the prices are extremely high. But the service is an absolute disaster. We forgot the starter twice. And the bread with butter was served after the main course. The service was an absolute disaster!!! The female specialist with dark hair in particular was a disaster - unfriendly, listless, inattentive. The other waiters spoke English so poorly that they couldn't be understood.

Nice atmosphere, but the food didn't fully convince me. Also a bit overpriced for what it is. Favorite dish: veal flatbread. Octopus, pork belly and truffle pasta are 4/5. Didn't enjoy ceviche

Einfach nur wow!! Trüffelpasta, das Steak, die Ceviche - Wir haben jedes einzelne Gericht absolut geliebt. Die vielen Leckereien dort zu teilen macht einfach Spaß und wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend. Die Weinkarte war ebenfalls toll. Insgesamt ist in diesem Lokal Preis/Leistung unschlagbar und die Portionen haben genau die richtige Größe (nicht zu klein und nicht zu groß). Wir kommen bestimmt noch ganz oft wieder!

새로운 맛과 새로운 자극이었다. 요리들을 단품으로 판매하기 때문에 코스메뉴라는 느낌은 받기 어려웠지만 맛이 상당히 좋았다. 기대와는 다르게 단체손님들도 있어서 시끄럽고, 음악도 분위기가 로맨틱하거나 고급스럽진 못해서 그런 분위기를 기대하면 실망할 것 같다. 하지만 맛은 훌륭해서 가격대가 꽤 있어도 지나치게 비싸다는 느낌은 들지 않았다. 스타터로 비트루트와 생선 타르타르를 주문했다. 가지소스를 입히고 불향을 내서 익힌 비트루트는 고급진 조화를 이룬다. 생선 타르타르는 생각보다 평범했지만 와사비 라임소스가 매력적이었다. 메인으로는 트러플 파스타와 삼겹살 요리를 주문했다. 우선 트러플 파스타는 베를린 여기저기서 먹어봤지만 가장 맛있었다. 버터가 많이 들어가서 픙미가 좋은데 무엇보다 신맛이 포인트였다. 느끼함을 살짝 잡아주면서 잘 어울렸다. 삼겹살 메뉴는 실패다. 껍데기를 너무 바삭하게 익힌 나머지 딱딱해서 먹기가 어려웠고 오돌뼈도 많았다. 사과퓨레와 고추장을 사용해서 김치소스도 있었는데 한국인 입장에선 매우 평범한 보쌈 느낌이었다. 양도 다섯 조각이라 가격이 너무 비싸다. 와인은 잔으로 시켰는데 레드도 리즐링도 맛있었다. 두 명이 스타터 둘, 메인 둘, 와인 두 잔 주문하면 총 100 - 120유로 정도 나오지만 그 정도 가치는 있는 집이다.

Great location right next to the canal and some cute bars around. Most of the dishes were fantastic, especially the truffle pasta, roasted cauliflower and octopus. I’d skip the thin slices of pork belly (presentation was sad & the pork a bit dry) and the desserts (leave the panna cotta alone, I don’t know why it had to be ‘whipped’ or deconstructed in the first place). Cocktails are the bomb, I ordered spicy mezcal and I’ll do it again a hundred times over. Great ambiance too for group dinners and cute dates!

Great restaurant with sharing dishes, every single dish we chose was delicious. Even though it was fully booked it didn’t feel too crowded, nice atmosphere.

This could be our best dinner in Berlin - everything was absolutely delicious. Every dish looked and tasted perfect. The service could be better though, at the beginning of the dinner we mentioned to the waitress that she forgot about a drink that one of us wanted and from that moment she became very unfriendly. She couldn't explain the cocktails very well and we all ended up drinking stuff that we didn't really want, but we didn't even ask to replace those because at that point she was already very impatient with us. We ended up going to another place for drinks after this. It was a shame because the chef was doing such an amazing job!

Surveillance cameras do not belong to a restaurant. Diners should have the option to dine in relative privacy.

Le concept chez Lila est de prendre plusieurs plats à partager. Cela permet à la fois de goûter une grande variété de plats et à chaque fois avec les bonnes quantités. Tolles Essen. Der Heilbutt und die Jakobsmuscheln sind ein Erlebnis und sehr zu empfehlen! Gute Weinkarte. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, nur die blonde Dame war zu pushy.

We were there yesterday, on a Saturday. The place was bustling, music played in the background, and the “vibe” was good. We had seats at the chef's counter, allowing us to watch the open kitchen. The waitress was friendly and handed us the menu. We chose our food and a bottle of wine listed as a 2020 vintage. When the wine arrived, we noticed it tasted too young for a wine supposedly aged for three years. Upon checking the label again, we discovered it was a 2022. We pointed this out to the waitress. She mentioned there might be no 2020 left and went to check. Upon returning, she confirmed there was no 2020 wine, and they had forgotten to update the menu. We decided to order a different wine listed as a 2019 vintage. She went to retrieve it but returned empty-handed after some time. She explained she had spoken with her chef, and none of the wines on the menu were older than 2022, despite most of them displaying different years. Essentially, customers paid for a 2019 wine but received a 2022. The waitress apologized and offered a complimentary shot to make amends. We accepted the "wrong" wine. As we continued to observe the kitchen, it became evident that their cleanliness standards didn't match their prices, considering it was an open kitchen. The convection oven was unclean inside, the work surfaces were dirty, food remains were found between the cabinet walls, and cables dangled from the ceiling, completely crusted with dust and grease. The Japanese grill appeared as though it had never been cleaned. To top it off, one of the chefs (standing on the far right when you entered that evening) tasted the food multiple times with a spoon before dipping the same spoon back into the dishes and arranging plates for the guests. This is unsanitary and completely unacceptable, especially in an upscale kitchen. We were relieved to have seats at the counter to witness all of this because we have no intention of returning to this place. The prices were high, as expected from a restaurant that should deliver at a certain standard. Given the price range, we expected different standards. The food was only okay and didn't impress. The halibut looked appealing from a distance but tasted otherwise. Also, the crust you might see in pictures isn't crispy fish skin but rather a layer of bread crust added to it. In my opinion, I know several restaurants in Berlin at this price point that offer significantly better experiences. So, I wouldn't recommend it. We never received the promised complimentary shot, but we didn't mind as we just wanted to leave. This experience further highlighted the poor service.

Came solo and sat at the bar, highly recommend anyone thinking of visiting alone. Superb service, incredible food, and good wine. The decor is really fun inside with low music. I ordered 3 plates which was more than enough since it's a sharing style setup.

LILA is a restaurant with a delightful Peruvian profile that left us very impressed. The dishes were full of flavor. What also stood out was their cocktails. The atmosphere was super pleasant, setting the perfect backdrop for an enjoyable evening. The service was great, adding to experience. We can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone seeking a fantastic dining experience in Berlin.

Food was good but their credit card reader wasn’t working and I was not informed of this in advance. I don’t generally carry enough cash to cover a nice meal so they asked me to go to the nearest ATM (which was across the canal). The ATM charged me a fee and gave me a ridiculous conversion rate so the meal wound up costing me significantly more than it would have if they had a working credit card reader. Bring cash with you just in case!

Lila is a hidden gem for dinning in the centre of Berlin ! The food was very tasty, especially some original creations: the ceviche, hamachi tiradito and the truffle pasta: home made tagliolini, grana padano & truffle butter, and on top Imperial caviar. I highly recommend - great vibes and cozy atmosphere. The service was excellent. Much thoughts has also gone into the wine selection. Don’t forget to order the panna cotta for dessert, delicious!

Amazing Tomato dish. We are very picky when going to restaurants especially int his price range. All I can say is that we had a great experience. The food is tasty and interesting. The wine, the music, the atmosphere, the service were amazing. Lila is one of the best table you can find in Berlin.

Finally got to try Lila, some dishes were on point like the tomato / anchovies , and the steak! The rest were fine but those two stood out, my friend really enjoyed the halibut the soft inside with skin crust was a nice combination. Would return.

Great food and atmosphere. My favorites were the ceviche and the halibut!

Wow. Everything was beyond expected. From the food to the service - everything was just perfect. We got for starters the bread and butter (sadly no pic, but damn that was the best butter I’ve ever had), grilled octopus and ceviche. We both loved the char on the octopus and veggies. The ceviche was incredible. The red jalapeño sauce was so on point with the sweet potatoes and white corn. For mains we had the pork belly and truffle pasta. The pork belly was juicy, the warm mashed apple… wow. Blew our minds. The truffle pasta - it’s been such a long time trying to find a good truffle pasta in Berlin. There used to be one restaurant in pberg that had the great one, but they closed years ago and I’ve been searching since. Search no more. Truffle pasta is found and it’s delicious! I wish I could eat that every day. Shortly on the desserts - best flan we ever had. The whipped panna cotta was great too! Thank you for an incredible evening. We will definitely come back!

One of the most exquisite places I’ve been to. Very elegant dishes. Full of taste. Crispy fresh ingredients. The location is absolutely stunning. Inside as well as outside, along the river bank. The personel is super friendly and helped really well with the wine choosing . I love Lila!

We had a group reservation for 8 people so you had a pre chosen menu. Unfortunately they failed to explain in the first place that they would only serve every dish 3 times for a group of 8 the amount of food was not enough. Resulting in an originally planned budget from 55€ p.P to 100€ p.P. Food Quality ist great though, service there as well but this plus not reachable over the phone to make amendments to makes service only a 3/5

A star restaurant. Definitely I was amazed by the freshness of the food, they oyster and fish were of great quality. But for me its always amazing that in Peruvian food, even while using top ingredients, the flavor is the star of the food, they put on top with a sauce/toping brings a lot more into it and Lila was impressively consistent on every plate to do this. Lastly beyond being a cool place, the chef cooking in front of you (if you sit at the bar) are tremendously skillful and you get to see how much work and care is given to each plate. 10/10

Malgré l'emplacement idéal près du canal, une carte qui paraissait alléchante, l'expérience chez lila fut plutôt mitigée. Un manque d'équilibre dans les plats, tout était beaucoup trop salé et extrêmement gras. Comme les pâtes sauce beurre et truffe que nous n'avons pas pu finir, trop beurré. Un soucis de température également sur les vins rouges surtout sous 30 degrés. L'ambiance intérieur est plutôt intimiste et agréable mais la terrasse n'a aucun intérêt, pas de décoration ou lumière, on se retrouve dans noir pour finir le diner. Overpriced pour ce que nous avons mangé.

We were there for the third time and again were not disappointed. Food was excellent, service very friendly and sitting outside was a pleasure.

My experience eating at Lila was mixed. As a huge fan of both Peruvian and Japanese food, I was very excited with the menu that seemed precisely to fusion both. We were two and ordered 6 dishes to share. The first one (the tuna tartar) was excellent and very original, albeit perhaps a bit too salty. The second one (the ceviche) was sublime. Indeed, one of the best I've had. Then things started to deteriorate with the hamachi tiradito, which was beautifully presented but didn't live to its expectations. It's sauce was good but the whole dish lacked balance. The octopus was thoroughly unremarkable to the point of being entirely forgetable. From then on the dinner became a car crash. The scallops were a catastrophe because they were prepared by mixing too strong flavours, far too much clarified butter and dashi, which killed their natural delicacy. Two more unremarkable dishes followed and the last one was a piece of Halibut (a fish similar to cod) whose sauce (coriander, white wine, and chilli peppers) was killed by the excessive amount of clarified butter and salt. The croûte on the fish had a great texture but again tasted only of butter and salt. Clearly the chef knows how to cook and present dishes, but the whole dinner lacked balance. There was no sweetness, sourness, or acidity to compensate for the excess of salt and clarified butter. The wines weren't good either. The first bottle, an orange German wine which can actually be quite interesting, was flat and the glasses of two other white wines we ordered were bad and one of them was terrible. The service was good and friendly (though the server didn't know one thing about wines) and the place is beautiful. The open kitchen is tastefully designed (the copper pots are certainly a plus) and allowed us to see that the kitchen staff enjoyed their work. There seems to be a great working environment there, which is always pleasant to see. The music, on the other hand, was HORRIBLE and extremely loud. More apt for a dancing hall than for a restaurant of this category.

Update: It's been awhile since I've updated this review. After our first time here, we've visited Lila at least 5 more times. Up until date it is our favorite restaurant. The truffle pasta is still a favorite, along with the ceviche, cauliflower and the oysters. Don't forget to enjoy the friendly service and the lovely wine. --- We loved it here! Had our first meal after the lockdown and we weren't disappointed. It is recommended to share plates with your table company so you can have a bit of everything. The prices are definitely above average but I would consider this more as a food experience aswell due to the interesting flavors. We ordered the bread, pork belly, truffel pasta and had both desserts. All were really really tasty, the quality was great, the service was super friendly and I and would definitely recommend others to have an experience here. The pictures were taken a bit late because we were too busy eating. 😅

Im Vorgarten bei schönem Wetter zu sitzen ist sehr angenehm, die Karte vielversprechend; nur sind die Portionen, obwohl sehr schmackhaft , für diese Preise einfach zu klein. Die zwei verkosteten offenen Weiß/Orangeweine waren enttäuschend. Ein Pluspunkt ist die sehr freundliche Bedienung. Insgesamt aber könnte das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis verbessert werden.

Das Essen ist hervorragend! Neuzeitliche Klassiker in Perfektion abgeliefert, leider hat das Restaurant eine schlechte Schalldämmung/Akustik so dass es für Leute die es ruhig mögen ungeeignet ist. Was mich fast entsetzt hat, ist, dass auf den Toiletten das graue Klopapier verwendet wird was ich zuletzt aus der Schule kannte. Und in den schicken aesop Flaschen die billige rosa Seife aus dem 10l Kanister gefüllt ist... bei dem Zielpublikum und den Preisen echtes no go

The restaurant has a great ambiente/atmosphere, the food was great (ceviche was amaziiing and the salad with truffle as well)! The portions are quite small, specially some main dishes. The drinks were fine, the focus i guess is anyway on the food. Something that bothered me was that we all felt pressured to order more food/drinks/sparkling water/dessert by the waitress, who repeatedly kept asking if we are sure that we don't wanna order something else. We are perfectly capable to determine ourselves how much we want to consume and there is a difference between being attentive and pushy. We were four people and everyone felt the same way at the end of the evening.

This is the best restaurant experience I’ve had in Berlin. Firstly the atmosphere of the restaurant is vibrant and there is a lovely buzz about the place. The staff are friendly and attentive. The food was amazing - each dish is bursting with flavours and completely different to the dish before. Each plate is beautifully presented which only adds to the experience. It’s hard to pick a favourite dish but if I had to choose I would say the scallops. 100% recommend. I was there with a friend and we sat at the counter looking into the kitchen - we really enjoyed this experience. Price wise - I think it is very reasonable for what the offer.

Wir waren zu sechst an einem Samstag zu Besuch. Trotzdem das Restaurant voll war ist der Service und die Küche jederzeit auf der Höhe des Geschehens. Keine langen Wartezeiten, keine gestressten Gesichter.... Küche und Service ausgezeichnet. Atmosphere und Einrichtung super. Besonders zu erwähnen ist die tolle Bar mit Ihren ausgezeichneten Getränken. Der Abend war nicht ganz billig, die Speisen, Getränke und der Service waren aber jeden Cent wert. Absolut empfehlenswert und gerne wieder.

definitely one of the best food offerings East Berlin has to offer, incredibly refreshing. Every single dish tastes magnificent, you can feel de freshness of ingredients and the care in preparation. Very attentive service as well and a laid back atmosphere. Cannot recommend enough!

We went there yesterday. Interesting combinations of flavours - the Ceviche and Cucumber were very nice, the 4 slices of bread too expensive. The Octopus was interesting but not for me and very little amount for lot of money. The Truffle Pasta we expected more than cream sauce with truffle flavour. The Radler came in a uncommon amount. The service is friendly but needs a bit more training. If starters are ordered and then main dishes, I expect the starters on the table at the same time followed by the mains also together, not with a time shift of 25 minutes. The food presentation is very, very nice. All in all an interesting and very expensive experience that I don't need to repeat, because at this prizes I expect to be satisfied.

The BEST experience and restaurant in Berlin for the past 2 years. The place is casual yet the service is outstanding. Most important, the food! Each plate is unique with some special and delicate flavour that wouldn’t be expected. If you want a romantic dinner, a share plates experience with friends or just a wonderful time, go to Lila restaurant.

The cevice and truffle pasta were fantastic. Definitely the best truffle pasta I’ve ever had. And the cevice was one of the best. Had an incredible sauce.

Local muy bonito con materia prima de primera pero las salsas un poco flojas. La leche de tigre no era leche de tigre, sino una salsa de pimiento, salsa que también acompañaba a otro plato. El pescado de escándalo de bueno en cuanto a sabor. El precio un poco elevado para la cantidad de comida que se sirve. Los precios de los vinos para mi gusto también un tanto elevados.

Delicious place! Proper Peruvian flavours and artfully prepared. Lovely friendly staff! The dishes are on the higher end price wise, but worth it for how delicately they present everything.

Do yourself a favour and visit this lovely restaurant in Berlin! I went with 2 friends and was greeted by Omar and the staff. They were super friendly, and informative too! We ordered whatever Omar suggested and had zero regrets! The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Highly recommend.

What a cozy atmosphere with a nice selection of snacks! It was quite busy on a Tuesday night. We were three and we ordered around 6 dishes to share. Definitely memorable: Cucumber salad and one of the best pasta dishes ever! Thank you! Will definitely come back for these two.

Just simply wonderful! Interesting area that the place is located in - alongside river with other hip bars and restaurants. As Chef Omar hails from NYC, there is a definite vibe in the atmosphere of my stumping ground, which was of course appreciated. The concept of the open kitchen actually works as intended, because it is absolutely fascinating to watch chef and staff at work. Great cocktail menu and that was hard to find in other places around. Def mixology going on. Menu is on a smaller side but that is exactly right, as it offers a great balance between Asia, Europe and South America. Absolutely delicious and my must return.

The place is fancy and beautiful but the portions are too small and the price too high. I understand that the products are good, but the pork belly is so so small that it is not possible to consider it as a main course, it is much more of an appetizer. I ordered the truffle pasta and it was delicious but with too much fat (maybe olive oil), the ceviche was divine but they said it was with Leche de Tigre but clearly it was not, they didn't put red onion or Lemmon, so no leche de tigre. My husband ordered the pork belly and it was amazing, but as I wrote above it is too small, he also ordered the octopus and it was good. We also ordered the tuna tartar to share and it was amazing, best tuna tartar I ever ate. The terrible part of the restaurant is the drinks. I ordered one cherry margarita and my husband a Santa Teresa and both were disgusting and terrible, with not enough alcohol or sugar or syrup, not tasty at all.

Great food. Small dishes of interesting character: we had a "cucumber" dish. We had 3 starters (incl bread) and 1 main course and 1 dessert which was fine for us. The room was a bit cold which was a shame since it made it more difficult to enjoy

Sehr zu empfehlen!!! Wir haben das Lila auf Empfehlung besucht und es war ein wunderbarer Abend. Das Essen war sehr gut. Wir haben die Karte rauf und runter bestellt und sogar noch nachbestellt. Service war aufmerksam und das Essen war unglaublich lecker. Wir kommen wieder!

Simplemente exquisito! Desde el primer momento nos hicieron sentir en casa, un ambiente cálido y relajado, el servicio super atento siempre, y la comida insuperable, el mejor ceviche de Berlin y un pez espada que es para morirse. 100% recomendado para disfrutar y relajarse y ademas tomar buen vino despues de un largo dia recorriendo la ciudad, es el final perfecto. Volvería mil veces.

Best restaurant in Berlin hands down. The place is friendly, warm, and comfy inside. The cocktails are amazing and the food is heavenly. Sit at the chefs table for an incredible oversight to see how these talents chefs work and feel very connected to the food. I would recommend ordering a range of dishes to share and extra bread to soak up all juice and extra love.

We visited the restaurant for the first time in July, there were 4 of us and we had an amazing experience. In December, 13 of us visited Berlin and I booked a place in advance. 13 people were simply delighted by the food. I am a restaurateur with over 25 years of experience. This is one of the best restaurants I've eaten at in the entire world. Omar you are an inspiration

really recommend this restaurant, it has a very yummy menu from the first to the last dish, the flavors make you want to lick the plate. They have a dry ager where the fish they use in their menu is kept, which according to the chef, preserves and concentrates the flavors of the product. The desserts are a bomb! The wine list is very interesting, the atmosphere and the energy are very pleasant to relax with friends. I think it is a must to visit this restaurant in Berlin!

I’ve visited the restaurant two times within few months because I wanted to try as many dishes as possible. Not easy to find a better care for fish and seafood in Berlin. Love the informal atmosphere and the staff is kind and well prepared. I can’t find any reason for not giving 5 stars.
