The Ringhotel Drees in Dortmund is excellent in every respect…whether it’s the reception, service, kitchen, bar, breakfast service or the Riepe family.

I was there with my kids, my family. Very nice the hotel, every where is clean, the workers are kind, helpfull. We will be back after Easter few days!

We were at this hotel for the Oktogon and felt judged by the older gentleman at the reception desk. He looked at us condescendingly several times. A few hours later, we came back downstairs, and when the lady at the reception wanted to show us the way to the sauna, the man with the glasses simply said, "No, you have to pay for it first." We just wanted to know how to get there? It's a shame, because the rooms and the food were excellent.

We were in Dortmund for a football match. Everything was perfect! The location and the friendliness of the staff were very good. Furthermore, the rooms were clean and modern. If we ever visit Dortmund again, we will definitely consider this hotel.

A beautiful, centrally located hotel with friendly staff. Unfortunately, as a seminar participant at the adjacent TU Dortmund University (DAPF), I was not informed of the discount I received when booking a room. As a result, I paid almost twice as much for a single room as my seminar colleagues for a double room. Despite inquiries from both myself during my stay and the institute afterward, I was not accommodated, and I had to pay the €141 for a room instead of the €79 (reduced price). Very unsatisfactory and disappointing! I will choose a different hotel next time.

Many thanks to the Drees team. I'm there every month and mostly a guest in the "Alte Gasse". Gladly again!

Great, family hotel in the Kreuzviertel. The rooms, the service and the facilities are top notch. The hotel is within walking distance of about 12 minutes from the exhibition center. Numerous restaurants and pubs are within a few minutes' walk. And if you don't feel like walking after a strenuous day, you can go to the in-house pub/restaurant.

A hotel where you feel at home. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean, the beds very comfortable, and the hotel is quiet. The breakfast has everything you need; the cold cuts and cheeses change throughout the week. Fruit, yogurt, and juices are available. The bacon with the scrambled eggs is super crispy, something very few hotels can match. I'm always happy to come back.

Absolutely top notch from booking request to departure. The welcome was very warm and personal. The rooms perfectly clean and spacious. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the service was very attentive. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for the great experience in this beautiful hotel.

This hotel impresses with good service, a nice mix of higher standards and tradition. The pool and sauna bring relaxation on a business trip. The food both in the cellar and in the restaurant is very good and the price and performance are reasonable. The rooms are tidy and well equipped. Parking in the inner courtyard is tight but close, a bit difficult in the TG. In conclusion, the price and services as well as the offer are really good, thank you for the stay!

Very nice and competent staff in the restaurant. Large selection of dishes, but not vegetarian cuisine. There was no choice other than a pumpkin potato casserole, truffle pasta and a salad. In my opinion, the kitchen is lacking progress because there are no substitute products such as vegetarian burger pattis, sausage or schnitzel alternatives

We love the Kreuzviertel and this wasn't the first time we've stayed at the Hotel Drees. A spontaneous visit was necessary. Called, booked, checked in! Everything was perfect! The welcome from Ms. Gies was very warm, thank you very much! The room was great and the breakfast was delicious as always! Our next visit to the Hotel Drees is planned!!

Very friendly BVB-oriented atmosphere. Highlight: a fun evening with friends in the Alte Gasse

We received a very warm welcome, service and buffet were first class. We were positively impressed with the room. So we can only clearly recommend it and will definitely come back again.

Because of the very good reviews, we stayed at this hotel for the first time last weekend. The staff was always very friendly and always had a smile on their faces, with the exception of the very unfriendly, somewhat sedate receptionist at breakfast. Absolutely miscast! The breakfast itself is rich and delicious. We had a Superior Plus room, but were a bit disappointed by the narrow toilet between the shower and the wall. What bothered us the most were the two mattresses that kept sliding back and forth, even though we had specifically requested a continuous mattress in advance. All in all it was still worth 4 stars.

Wonderful hotel and I felt very comfortable. The service is great and friendly, the rooms are great and clean. The breakfast is without saying anything negative, but it tastes typical of a hotel buffet. I'd love to come back.

I was a guest at the hotel for two nights and I am absolutely appalled by the service and the premises. We thought the hotel would be good based on the 4.4 star rating, but we thought wrong. The walls are made of paper so you can hear every noise. This made it difficult to sleep. The bathroom doors are transparent glass and cannot be locked. We weren't offered a seat in the hotel bar, even though there were still places available at some tables and they weren't reserved, just one person sitting at each table for four. The receptionist was so rude one day. I was absolutely shocked. I just asked in a friendly manner where the hotel's parking garage was and the answer I got was a grumpy: "We don't have space for them" in a rude tone, without even checking to see if there was still space. Only to turn away from me straight away afterwards. As it turned out later, there were still a lot of parking spaces available. I've never experienced anything like this before. I will no longer check in here as a guest. Not recommended the hotel.

Very nice staff, with a few exceptions, there was plenty of food, breakfast was a buffet, you can get everything you want there, WiFi could be faster! And of course my highlight: NORA FROM THE CLEANING STAFF! Such a nice, lovely woman! Dear people, think about the cleaning staff too! :) I actually don't know whether I would come here again, because even with the windows closed you can still hear the traffic noise and you can hear the shouting of fellow guests at the main entrance...

This hotel actually deserves 6 stars. The service was as attentive as I have rarely experienced. You had the feeling that all the employees had fun at work and tried to fulfill your every wish. The rooms were very large for normal hotel rooms and you could feel comfortable. There's almost no need to write anything about the food. It was really fantastic. From breakfast to dinner. We needed accommodation near the exhibition halls for the dog and horse exhibition with our dogs. The email contact was very quick and always friendly and helpful. We were warmly welcomed on the day we arrived and so were our dogs. Always happy to come back. We were very happy with our stay.

I went there to watch football with my wife for the first time. Great atmosphere, nice people and I think there were 4 TVs showing the Dortmund: Bochum game. Gladly again.

Employees are friendly but that's it. Names were taken incorrectly, non-alcoholic beer was ordered and it came with it. Then a half-finished Wildberry Lillet came to the table in the basement bar. Upon request, berries were fetched and carelessly poured into the glass in front of the guest. (Aside from that, the poor mix made the drink undrinkable, whether with or without berries). At the buffet nothing is properly labeled, suddenly you find on the fish, bacon cubes... the hotel is supposed to have 4 stars but when I compare it with 3 star hotels they do 10x better than this.

Rooms are large, service is great, parking nearby costs €12, unfortunately right on the main road, but very well insulated

Very centrally located, both to the center and to Signal Iduna Park. Very nice and courteous staff. Delicious and rich breakfast buffet. Rooms absolutely fine and clean. The only small point of criticism: There is a lack of storage space in the bathroom. Absolutely recommended as accommodation for a BVB home game.

Good hotel in the city, breakfast and food were ok

At the Hotel Drees I always receive a friendly welcome and find very clean rooms. The hotel has both a small backyard for parking and an underground car park; you can only find a parking space on the street by chance. There is a kiosk adjacent to the hotel. The food is very good and the service is friendly. There is nothing missing in the conference rooms and there are adjacent toilets. My personal highlight is the generous and international buffet at breakfast. The location in Dortmund is not so central but everything can be reached on foot or by train.

Food and service were very good. I can't say anything about the rooms because we were at a party there.

Well-equipped single room with a private bathroom with shower and toilet. Desk, television (costs extra), mini bar and safe in the room. The window faced the street, apparently Dortmund had played at the weekend so there was a lot going on in the streets. The room was quiet with the window closed and even I was able to sleep well (I'm otherwise rather hard of hearing). The room has air conditioning so that a comfortable temperature could be created in the room even at 29 to 30 degrees. I borrowed the hotel bike for 5 euros per day to get to Patchwork Gilde Deutschland e.V. The bike is simple (not an e-bike), difficult to move when the roads have a slight incline. Maybe a scooter would be better to use... there are enough in the area as long as you download the apps. The breakfast is plentiful, scrambled eggs, Nuremberg mini bratwurst, quark, yoghurt, muesli, rolls, bread (I think some of it could be homemade), various jams, nut nougat cream, eggs 5 and 7 minutes (keeping class 2), juices , fully automatic coffee machine with different types (coffee, cappuccino, etc.), fruit and much more. Very tasty and fresh, often refilled. The staff was very friendly this weekend, always available to contact, great service, which unfortunately you don't get that often anymore. Thank you for so much service. I deducted a star because I personally don't like the location, even though it's centrally located I miss the view of something green. Be it a small home garden with seating or a park. I deducted one star from the room because there wasn't enough storage space for clothes. A closet a little larger than a locker where the safe is stored above the clothes rack and above it there are 2 small compartments where I could only use one of them because it was placed too high. An open compartment above the mini bar and a large drawer for linens?! I wouldn't put my clothes in it, but rather a pair of shoes. That's my personal opinion, I was still very satisfied and have already booked again. The positive values ​​predominate here and are more important to me. The WiFi reception is not that good in the room.

Staff very friendly and pleasant, points deducted only because the air conditioning didn't cool and it was very stuffy in the room. Quite noisy with the window open, but because we wanted to go to the Westfalen Hallen the location was great.

Very helpful and friendly staff at reception and room service. The room/bathroom was clean, well maintained and spacious. The bathroom is really big by hotel standards. We also used the swimming pool and were pleasantly surprised not to smell any chlorine. Great. At breakfast there was an employee there on two days whose behavior ranged from reserved to snippy towards the guests and the helpers. Unfortunately, the two young helpers also seemed uncomfortable and couldn't bring themselves to smile. On the third day this lady wasn't there and the entire atmosphere among the breakfast staff was incredibly cheerful. And even though there were significantly more guests there than on the previous days. Basically we felt very comfortable and will be happy to come back

I went to the big summer congress of Jehovah's Witnesses last weekend. My hotel stay in the Drees went very well with that! I felt really well looked after as an individual. I had a fairly spacious room... but I had also taken a lot of care of it in advance 😉 Gladly again!

Long waiting times and broken air conditioning almost drove us to despair. At breakfast, which was very manageable, the food was not refilled and the service staff were overwhelmed. The rooms are large but these and the bathrooms are getting old and there is mold in the shower.

Visited the hotel for euro 2024 semifinal, 10/12 min walk to the stadium. High speed wi-fi in the room, delicious food in the restaurant, very polite and helpful staff.

A great place to stay, the hotel has its own parking lot 2 minutes walk from the facility.

If you want to go to football, the perfect hotel. Everything can be reached on foot or you can take the subway from the front door. Parking was there and the staff was particularly noteworthy...Super friendly, you felt right at home. we will be back.

No ine smiles in this place, if you ask a question they reapond you like you are stupid. You ask for information they het upset, the bedroom was small (fair enough). No towel in the bathroom, i didn't knew in Dortmund they dont use towels after shower, no bottle opener in the bedroom if you want to open a bottle you need yo use a coin ir a lighter. We asked yesterday for a taxi the longa hair receptionist man and he said taxi was coming, he didn't mention any time when asked. After 30 min we realized that he didnt made the call , we lost in translation. Sauna is off if you go to use it. At least the there were towels there. The pillow in the bad was cheap one, impossible to sleep.

It's an average hotel, ok, clean rooms. Okay, a solid average breakfast. Friendly staff. Sauna's alright, located in a basement, clean.

My wife and I needed a short-term place to stay overnight in Dortmund on Saturday. Reception made it possible after a short wait. Thanks. Rooms are clean. Food unexpectedly from the top drawer. Our thanks also for this surprise.

We celebrated a wedding there. Great food, great beds, super nice staff!! Breakfast was also great. What can I say, we felt very comfortable.

Very hard... No recommendation. All not bad, a bit too much salt in the food, but chicken nuggets as a snack between breaks... And buffets that are clearly undersized, economical is good, but if the fish is already gone after 10 guests, that's a miscalculation... Very good coffee. A bar crew that prefers to talk to the family on the phone instead of serving, and instead offers cheap drinks. I wouldn't go on vacation there, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel as a seminar location either, it's simply too expensive, or the price and performance don't match.

I can only say good things about the hotel. My stay was only short and unfortunately there was no reason to celebrate (BVB Champions League final defeat) but everything was good. About the nice people at reception, generally a very nice staff. The breakfast was also very good and always enough of everything. The room was functional and always clean. Great job by the cleaning staff.

I felt like I was in good hands in this hotel, the pool and sauna were also quite nice. The moms and their little water rats are only in the pool on Wednesdays, but it's always later. The rooms were clean and good, breakfast was also OK.

I was there with my girlfriend 2 months ago. It's only a few minutes to the trade fair. The room was clean and attractive. A complaint about a hair dryer was immediately investigated. If you leave the windows open you can't hear the traffic. Easy to reach by subway. The breakfast was ok. Unfortunately, when the tables were cleared, the breadcrumbs were simply pushed onto the floor. And you don't reach over the guest's plate to clear dishes. That really irritated us. Other guests also looked surprised. What really bothered me... even though I had booked and all my details were there, my friend was called because something wasn't working with the debit. I can not comprehend that.

We visited the hotel for a trade fair, but the location is unbeatable, you can get there quickly on foot. The hotel with its restaurant is great, the rooms didn't miss anything, were super clean and we ate very well in the restaurant. If we come to Dortmund again, we'll come back to you!

Was there for the seminar. The food was delicious, but unfortunately no longer hot on day 1. The service was top. Unfortunately, like in all of Dortmund, the parking situation is stupid.

The shower in the bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but otherwise everything was fine. Very nice, varied breakfast.

Booked this hotel for the Judas Priest and Uriah Heep concert in the Westfalenhalle. Was super satisfied. And: You could reach the hall on foot. Hotel: staff friendly, rooms clean, breakfast plentiful and tasty.

Very friendly staff, room was big enough, although there was still hair from the previous person in the sink, but otherwise very clean…. Location is a bit AWAY, but there is a subway station nearby.

I WILL NEVER BOOK THERE AGAIN. I was told on the phone that a room costs €147. That's why I went there and booked a room. Then I was told that you have to pay a deposit. And you get it back when you check out. I wanted to check out the next day, but I wasn't allowed because I still had to pay something even though I didn't do anything or eat anything. I would be happy if you told me that beforehand. Stop ripping off customers
