Small Thai restaurant, excellent! The dishes are, however, barely expensive, but this is more than compensated by the excellent cuisine and the quantity. I recommend Rim Wang without reservation... Corinne M.

The food was delicious. Maybe a little too much decoration on the food. It's not really spicy, most of the time everyone can eat spicy. Of course, Thai is usually quite spicy. The dishes are well portioned and the starter will fill you up. The decoration is usually a bit kitschy but it doesn't bother you either. Everything was beautifully presented and enjoyed by everyone at the table. The ambience was nice, but the price was less. For 2 people with a starter and 3-4 drinks you should expect 90€+-. Were there after 6pm in the evening. The chairs felt a bit hard. You probably want to get rid of people quickly after dinner to make room for new guests. Meal took 20 minutes. until starters arrived. 15-20 minutes. Then main course. You couldn't sit outside, which would actually have been possible given the almost 20°. Luckily it is air conditioned inside. The service was good and German was spoken well. We will eat there again.

Today we went to Rim Wang with friends for the first time in a long time - it was just great! A very special Thai restaurant, with great service and the most delicious food.

I'm in Karlsruhe once a year. A must eat at Rim Wang. I have to give it 5 stars in all areas. On top of that, 6 stars for the extremely friendly and very attentive service.

Motorhome, tel. ordered and picked up. - 2 x Tom Yam Gung "no vegetables" - 1 x beef fl. in curry, vegetables and rice Everything was very tasty, the quality was TOP! There were even 4 king prowns in the Tom Yang Gung! Elsewhere only 2-3 small shrimps! -Price complete: € 45,-! That was once DM 90!!!! Probably our last purchase at Rim Wang, a shame, too expensive now! Now look elsewhere!

Like in Thailand This is by far the most authentic Thai food in the area. It is also lovingly prepared and made with good ingredients. The staff is attentive and dressed in traditional Thai clothing. Excellent and worth the money. An absolute experience.

Für mich der Top Tipp in Karlsruhe wenn man Thailändisches Essen mag. Wunderbarer Service, sehr leckeres Essen. Schärfe "Thailändisch-Europäisch" :-) Große Auswahl an Gerichten. Im Garten kann es an den Abendstunden noch etwas laut sein, da 2 größere Straßen daran vorbeiführen. Ich persönlich kann dieses Restaurant empfehlen!

Beim Rim Wang darf man sich nicht von der Fassade täuschen lassen. Die Einrichtung im Restaurant ist sehr schön und auch der Außenbereich ist liebevoll dekoriert und sehr gemütlich. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, die Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken ist groß und vielfältig. Nun zur Hauptsache: das Essen ist einfach nur sehr, sehr lecker. Da zahlt man gerne ein bisschen mehr.

The Food: Authentic 👍 Ingredients are all in high quality and one can see that they serve genuine Thai dishes. Almost all of the food that came, I would say has 1:1 scale on what you can have in Thailand. Respect for the whole cook and team 👍 The People: Thai hospitality at its best. One can actually feel the care and effort they give to each customer. Proudly asian culture is what you can expect, I would say. The Price: very reasonable and within the price range I would say. Restaurant is stuck in times gone by. This can be seen primarily from the fact that dishes are offered whose production is already prohibited in Germany. When I read foie gras on the menu, I lose all appetite and wonder why something like this is still possible these days. For me this is a deal-breaker, a red flag. I wanted to eat there with my friends because of the good reviews, when we were there we discovered that they actually still serve foie gras, we were all absolutely disgusted and the lovely day was over. It's a shame that something like this is even allowed in Germany. We were immediately treated with hostility and insults when we brought this up; the behavior there is very disrespectful. I am really shocked that there is a restaurant in Karlsruhe that heavily supports animal cruelty.

It would actually be nice, friendly service and nice atmosphere. Unfortunately, there was a demonstration by animal rights activists, the restaurant serves foie gras, which I personally don't like. Noise barriers were put up and the music volume was increased, all in all an unpleasant experience. Why doesn't the restaurant take the dish off the menu, it's actually not Thai and produced with a lot of animal cruelty. We would be happy to come back if this changes.

The food is quite tasty and recommended. Nice ambience and decoration on the plates. The plate with duck mango, for €26, seemed very well sorted.

Goose foie gras is a cruel animal product. In Germany, production is banned for good reason. The geese and ducks are force-fed using a metal tube. It is forcefully pushed into their esophagus and up to 1000 g of maize porridge is pumped into their stomach. Converted to a human, that would be 15 kg of spaghetti per day. The liver swells to ten times its normal weight. Just cruel! I ask you to take foie gras off the menu!

Anyone who still offers foie gras today has understood nothing. This is animal cruelty at its worst. How can you eat something like that? Incomprehensible. Apart from that, there are a few Alibi vegan dishes. The rest are the usual animal cruelty products. Meat is everywhere. Probably also from ducks that don't even know bath water and are locked in the dark stable. As well as beef from tethered cows and from emaciated dairy cows.

Because of the foie gras, also known as foie gras, which is served in this restaurant, I definitely don't want to eat here. Kangaroo makes my stomach turn... No thanks, I'd rather go to other restaurants that don't want to make money from such animal cruelty.

Even though it's 2024 and foie gras has long been banned from being produced in Germany, this restaurant continues to serve this cruel and unethical "delicacy." Producing this is not only morally reprehensible, but also illegal and therefore offering it is absurd. It shows that the restaurant has no respect for animal welfare laws or the ethical standards of its guests. I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant. If animal welfare and compliance with the law are important to you, you should avoid this establishment. There are so many great alternatives that don't involve cruelty to animals - invest your money there instead.

I cannot and will not recommend a restaurant that offers foie gras, the production of which is rightly banned in Germany because it is the worst torture for geese and ducks.

Unfortunately I was disappointed again. We have known rim wang for several years and have always been very satisfied. We were there again a year ago and it was “good” but not worth the price. Yesterday we tried again. Result: portions smaller, price higher, quality consistent, but worse prepared. If the vegetables in the rice dish are completely cooked and tasteless and even the chicken breast is served until it is tough and fried, then just under €23 will have to be reconsidered in the future. Please be like you once were.

Wir waren schon öfter in Thailand. Von dem her, können wir gut beurteilen, was thailändische Küche hergibt. Ich muss sagen, wir hatten uns mehr erwartet von dem Essen im Rim Wang. Der Hauptgang hat ganz gut geschmeckt. War aber unserer Meinung nach nicht typisch thailändisch. Die Nachspeise Sticky rice war leider der gleiche Reis wie vom Hauptgericht. Es war zwar schön angerichtet, aber für den Preis von 11,90 € völlig überteuert. Und geschmacklich kommt es bei weitem nicht an den, den wir in Thailand essen heran. Leider können wir dieses Restaurant nicht weiter empfehlen. Die Preise sind völlig überzogen und passen nicht zur Qualität der Ware.

A black (service) day... Yesterday we were at Rim Wang with a birthday party of 20. The trouble started when our reservation was forgotten despite repeated phone calls. The problem was solved, we sat very nicely in the next room. The otherwise friendly service staff probably didn't have the next room on their radar. After the drinks we had to actively ask to order the food. The supply of drinks, as well as the usual and beloved warmth, were completely missing that day. Even the boss listened to our feedback with reluctance and stress and in the end simply left us. Complaint management = grade 6! Thank God the food was great and delicious as usual - luckily! We have been to Ri. Wang many times and have always been very satisfied with the food and service, but yesterday the service was just bad. A pity...

We were here with a larger group for a special event. The food was good as usual, but the service was unfortunately subpar. Unfortunately, the landlord responded to the feedback during the evening in an extremely unprofessional manner. That's why - for at least a long time - unfortunately our last visit.

Das Restaurant sieht zugegeben con außen ein wenig ungepflegt aus, wenn man jedoch hineingeht, betritt man "eine neue Welt". Alles ist schön eingerichtet und duftet angenehm nach thailändischen Gewürzen u.ä. Vom Geschmack ganz zu schweigen! Alle aus der Familie waren zufrieden und die Nummer 107 ist besonders zu empfehlen. Das Fleisch wies keinerlei Mängel auf!

Yesterday we were in the Ring Wang again after a long time, what can I say, the entrance area looks like a garbage dump, everything is run down and littered. Unfortunately that wasn't enough to deter us and we went to the restaurant anyway. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food was more than disappointing. Unfortunately, we could only notice that the quality of the food was no longer as good as it was on our last visit. Unfortunately, it is not enough to raise the prices significantly but also to deliver quality. Our conclusion has nothing to do with original Thai food. A pity .

I cannot recommend this restaurant. The food is not authentic, simply bland and poorly cooked. There was a black hair on the rice and in the soup. The service was unfriendly. The boss didn't respond to our comment that hair in food is unappetizing. The prices are still high. I'm definitely not going there anymore.

Insgesamt war das Restauranterlebnis gemischt. Obwohl das Essen geschmacklich gut war, hatte leider ein Großteil unserer Gruppe nach dem Besuch mit Übelkeit, Brechreiz und Durchfall zu kämpfen. Persönlich habe ich sogar Fieber entwickelt. Aufgrund dieser gesundheitlichen Probleme rate ich von einem Besuch in diesem Restaurant ab.

Also wir waren heute zum ersten mal hier essen. Wurde uns von einem guten Freund empfohlen. Wir als Thai Experten und Liebhaber können die ganzen guten Bewertungen null nachvollziehen. Das Essen schmeckt nicht authentisch. Es ist zwar gut angerichtet aber geschmacklich ist es nicht ansatzweise zu vergleichen. Ich will hier jetzt nicht um den heißen Brei reden. Ich kann das Restaurant nicht empfehlen es gibt viel besseres in Karlsruhe. Preislich will ich gar nicht anfangen weil es nach oben keine Grenzen hat. Thai essen darf und ist kein Luxus! Für 25€ bekomme ich Trüffel Pasta vom feinsten.

Man fühlt sich gleich nach Asien versetzt. Der Service, das Essen, einfach Klasse. War nun nach längerer Zeit wieder hier. Ich war wieder überrascht mit welcher Liebe alles serviert wurde. Hat alles lecker geschmeckt.

Fast jede Speise ist leicht scharf bis scharf. Im Sommer ist es auf der Terasse besonders schön.
