A wonderful restaurant. I was thrilled and would gladly return. It's more expensive, but worth it.

The two of us had lunch here, as we had a voucher for Rikard. It was on the pricier side, but the quality was excellent. Great atmosphere, friendly staff. Extensive wine list, many delicious dishes on the menu. The food was both visually appealing and tasted fantastic. We enjoyed our time at Rikard and will definitely return.

Perhaps we should have looked at the menu beforehand: the prices were high (e.g., pumpkin soup was €16), and the food didn't quite live up to expectations. There's no doubt the dishes are very good, but for a meal totaling €75, I personally expect more.

A nice restaurant in the Green Citadel in Magdeburg. The Italian restaurant is stylishly decorated and run by Italian staff. However, the prices surprised us and seemed quite high. The food was okay, but didn't quite justify the price. Furthermore, the restaurant was very busy and noisy, so it didn't really feel like a pleasant experience. Overall, we wanted to end our visit rather quickly.

The prices are outrageous, and if it had tasted good, that would have been okay… but not like this. Risotto for just over 24 euros. In my opinion, it was regular rice, the kind you'd expect at an Asian restaurant, but definitely not risotto rice! This rice wasn't even close to being cooked. Everything was swimming in an unidentifiable sauce and had little to nothing to do with risotto. The waitstaff was forgetful with orders and started clearing the left side of the table while people were still eating on the right. More style than substance…

A lovely place to linger and enjoy authentic Italian cuisine. First-class quality, a wide selection of fresh fish, excellent wines, and first-class service complete the experience. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but the prices are justified by the quality you receive.

The quality of the food is outstanding, the ambiance very pleasant, and the service extremely polite. I had a wonderful evening yesterday. It felt like a short vacation. The dishes were meticulously presented and exquisite! Everything was full-flavored, and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures. The goat cheese was smothered in a delicious pumpkin cream accompanied by herbs. The gnocchi with pesto were perfectly seasoned, and the pistachio cake with a liquid center brought me to a pleasant end. The ambiance was very pleasant, warming, and soothing. The service staff was friendly and accommodating. It was perfect!

Nice Italian restaurant with friendly service and good food

Based on the good reviews, we reserved a table at Rikard. It went smoothly, and we also liked the ambiance. The menu is quite pricey, which would have been okay if it had been well prepared and tasty... We chose a risotto with zucchini and burrata and homemade ravioli with ricotta and lemon filling. The risotto looked (and tasted) like rice pudding; unfortunately, there was no sign of zucchini or burrata, but the rice, cooked very al dente, was just mixed with cheap pesto from a jar... €25 for that 😳. For another €25, we got six not-so-large ravioli, the pasta dough still almost hard. These were smothered with a strongly seasoned pizza sauce and also with cheap pesto from a jar. There was no taste of the delicate ricotta and lemon filling. Maybe the cook was sick, and a temporary worker who had NEVER cooked before was in charge... I don't know... it was truly the worst Italian food we've ever eaten, and at that price point, too. A glass of wine, by the way, cost €11... There was no bread or even a small greeting from the kitchen... really nothing to make up for it.

Beautiful place. Great staff. Prices are high, food is good, and the price is worth it. Con: The fish tartare contains nuts. It's not listed on the menu, and the waiters don't even mention it. It was, after all, a main ingredient. Dangerous for allergy sufferers!

We really enjoy eating at Rikard. The food is always incredibly delicious and of high quality. The prices are, in my opinion, very reasonable for the quality and service. The service is very attentive and courteous. Unfortunately, I have to deduct a star for the incredible markup on wine. It's recently become known that every restaurant charges a markup for wine, but charging €48 for a €9 bottle of wine is a real shame. Nevertheless, the food has always impressed us, which is why we'll be back, of course.

We were there on September 5th for a birthday. We stayed despite the prices, and the food was delicious. The service was downgraded by one incident. After a wasp fell into a glass, the waitress simply filtered it out and didn't replace the glass. I found that very strange. Sibylle Elies

We visited you last night with the family. We had a variety of dishes, from fish to meat, simple pasta to appetizers and dessert. Everything was perfect. A great atmosphere, with fresh produce and perfectly cooked food. All in all, a perfect evening, and the price for the amount of food and the quality was just perfect. We'd be happy to come back :)

We've rarely eaten so well. Simply fantastic, friendly service, everything clean, bright, and tastefully decorated. Full marks! The pasta in a cheese loaf was even flambéed with grappa (as it should be, but never is) and absolutely delicious!

The food, the ambience etc. was really very good... unfortunately I have to deduct stars because the waitress was very pushy... she cleared the dishes even though someone else at the table was still eating, I wanted another glass of wine and without asking what kind I wanted she poured me a glass and at the end I gave her a tip because it's second nature to me, but she took the money without even saying thank you... It's a real shame ☹️ because the rest of the food was really amazing!!!

And our little dog was warmly welcomed, too. 🥰 The food is incredibly delicious and the portions are really generous—and the prices are absolutely reasonable! Im Rikart kann man nicht nur sehr gut essen und trinken, auch der Service ist vorbildlich. Die Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen. Ich war schon öfter hier und es war alles immer sehr schmackhaft.

Im RIKARD wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen und spontan platziert. Der Service war durch die Bank sehr freundlich und das Essen war ebenfalls eine Empfehlung. Danke für den schönen Abend. Wir waren anlässlich unseres Hochzeitstages zum Abendessen im Ricard. Alle Kellner/innen waren sehr freundlich und umsichtig. Wir saßen draußen und wurden sehr nett bedient. Das Essen war sehr lecker , es gab nichts zu beanstanden. Wir waren zum ersten Mal dort und fühlten uns gleich willkommen. Die Preise sind ähnlich wie in allen anderen Lokalitäten in der Umgebung. Very nice restaurant, very good service. The food was ok but not outstanding. The price is more due to the beautiful ambience and the location in the green citadel.

We were here for the first time and the Italian didn't really convince us. My food was okay. My husband didn't like it, our friends liked it. The bread beforehand was delicious. But a dip was missing. There was olive oil too. The service wasn't particularly friendly. He gave the men water in their glasses, but not us women. There wasn't any beer that we ordered, so we had to wait until the tap worked again. Was only told after ordering. The cutlet from the daily menu was no longer available either. No schnitzel either. But we were only told that after we ordered. That's what they say... When we didn't order any wine or a starter, the glasses and the second cutlery were immediately cleared away. I also tried the ox cheeks. They wait well. But the mashed potatoes tasted like they came straight from a bag. Then they wanted to help us with dessert and coffee. It's okay that you're asked, but the way. All in all, not our place. Apart from the fact that the prices are high, the quality also has to be convincing and it doesn't have that. At least us. 8 people were with you today at 12 p.m. for my daughter's birthday invitation. I have to say that the service and everything around it was great, everyone was very friendly and the service staff were extremely attentive. I can only recommend it.

After making a reservation we had a nice table for two. Very attentive service including the boss. Great wine, wonderful food, imaginatively presented. We're happy to pay a little more. Will come back!

We were tourists in Magdeburg and wanted to eat something. But when we went in, the staff looked at us. Unfortunately we didn't make a reservation and the staff spoke to us about it in an unfriendly manner. The prices were very overpriced. Since we didn't feel comfortable at all, we left again. When we left, the waiter behaved very arrogantly and was short. In any case, we would never go there again. VERY ARROGANT!!!

I had a pinsa and the bottom was like crispbread. The toppings, i.e. what was on the pinsa, was tasty and I thought the quantity was ok too. Maybe we were unlucky.

A very nice evening with my girlfriend, spontaneously stopped in, rather classy and high-quality Italian specialties. No pizza on the menu. More for couples, not a classic family restaurant. The service was good, sometimes a bit uncertain.

Finally an Italian ristorante with typical dishes from Italy. Both the ambience and the service are authentic and appropriate for the Hundertwasserhaus. In my opinion, the higher price level is just as appropriate.

We were honestly disappointed. We are big fans of Culinaria and expected similar prices here. The food was good, but not outstanding. Most of the cellars seemed very friendly and professional. Unfortunately not ours. And that didn't make it really comfortable. My girlfriend loves tiramisu, but the dessert here doesn't deserve the name.

An unserem Hochzeitstag entschieden wir uns spontan, den Mittagstisch im Rikards zu probieren. Kurz zuvor gab es einen Wechsel des Betreibers, weshalb die Webseite noch nicht wirklich aussagekräftig war. Das schöne Sommerwetter veranlasste uns, einen Tisch im freien mit Blick auf den Breiten Weg zu wählen. Hier war es ziemlich leer und wir hatten freie Platzwahl. Für Touristen ist es sicherlich spannender einen Tisch im Innenhof zu wählen, da man dort die Atmosphäre des Hundertwasserhauses besser genießen kann. Die Mittagskarte ist überschaubar, aber meine Pasta war wirklich sehr gut und auch das Panna Cotta zum Nachtisch war gar nicht schlecht. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Preislich lagen die Gerichte für den Mittagstisch über dem Durchschnitt. Für jeden Tag wäre es also nichts, aber zu besonderen Anlässen kann man sich ein paar schöne Momente im Rikards gönnen.

Das Essen absolut Top, Bedienung super nett. Wirf waren am Tag des Anschlags in Magdeburg dort, es gab noch eine Bombenwarnung in der Gasse vorm Hotel. Wir duften in der Gaststätte noch bleiben bis wir ins Hotel daneben durften. Vielen Dank , wir kommen gerne wieder

Underground, to put it briefly. It was agreed in advance that there would be various vegan dishes. After back and forth we were told there was 1 dish. The portion was very small for a main course, very expensive and weak in taste. After we ate it, it turned out that it wasn't vegan after all. I don't feel like I'm being taken seriously here and it's incomprehensible to me how a restaurant in this price range can't know the difference between vegetarian and vegan. In the end they wanted to charge us way too much money.

I want to share this moment with YOU! I am an emotional connoisseur and love treating myself to unique experiences. Actually, my spouse and I just wanted to enjoy a good meal in Magdeburg again. Because we wanted to spontaneously use our valuable free time this week, we decided on the Rikard, in the mood for Italian cuisine...! Yes, we were so emotional that we could hardly decide which starter or main course it should be. Anyone who has the choice here is spoiled for choice - we actually wanted to try everything. We chose Vitello Tonnato (the BEST thing my husband has ever eaten), pickled tuna - a taste explosion for me (yes, I had to share some with my partner, I didn't like it at all :) ) Our main course 1: Venison roulade, sensational (venison so tender and thin in consistency, with the absolutely matching side dishes, the sauce was a poem... Main course 2: Pasta with butter and white truffle (I generally order dishes in restaurants that I haven't cooked myself at home, yes - I don't have white truffles in the house, that's why we have Rikard :) We were very excited, the service staff was extremely friendly, attentive and at the same time wonderfully calm and relaxed, excellent for people who want to leave their stress on the road. The audience was wonderfully moderate in tone, you know what I want to say..., we never had the feeling for a second that the table next to us was annoying or could be listening to our conversations. We were very excited, the rooms were made more intimate and comfortable after our last visit a few months ago, for us this visit was worth every cent. Many thanks to the wonderful chef, behind the scenes, great cinema!!!! Our female service employee described the dessert to us in all the “colors”, the male staff tried extremely hard to refill our wine bottle, we loved the attention. Why am I taking so much time for this review? Because it's important to me that people who get up and deliver every day in DE in these strange times! This restaurant delivers! By the way: We made a reservation in the morning in the middle of the week, I don't think anything works here without a reservation because others have also realized that they are fans and will keep coming back. THANK YOU, we will definitely come back!

One could cover up the dissatisfaction about a one-person table better than was the case today. Still, the service was great and the pinsa was good. However, the soil would have benefited from more of its own flavor. I would have liked the topping better with more arugula and less sausage. But complaining at a high level. The spacious, colorful restaurant and the large tables in the back area mean you can have a lovely evening as a group.

Maybe we didn't have a good day from the chef. But I expect more from a certain price range of a restaurant. A bread basket with standard baguettes in light and dark is not very Italian. Unfortunately there was no classic ciabatta. It seems unprofessional if daily specials are not listed on a separate menu or board and the price is only shown on the bill. Truffle pasta for €36, which unfortunately isn't al dente, is ugly. A Pinsa Antipasti, where the antipasti come from an Italian wholesaler, is not very imaginative. Homemade should be standard here. In general, the pasta dishes are not very creative. Even if they contain high-quality products (which may justify the price), they are processed with few ideas.

We have been to this beautiful restaurant three times, each time we tried different dishes, always everything of the highest quality, the price is slightly higher than other restaurants which, although not of a bad standard, have a stellar distance in quality. The environment and service are definitely above average. Absolutely recommended.

We, a group of 4 couples, once again had a wonderful evening at Rikards! The new leadership and the new team are doing a great job! Food was brilliant - tip: antipasta plate in the middle - and the service was super attentive and friendly. We felt very welcome and will do it again soon!

We made reservations for a larger group of 19 people. The wine was excellent, so some of my colleagues came back over the next few days. The service was smooth, quick and very accommodating. The food was fantastic. Pasta Cacio Pepe is recommended for vegetarians. super tasty! it could have been a little more al dente. The other guests were enthusiastic about the fish and meat. The pistachio cake dessert was particularly amazing! When we are back in Magdeburg, we will of course come back! Thank you for this evening

Super friendly, super tasty, absolutely child-friendly. The greatest thing is that there is a wide range of dishes for people with gluten intolerance. There is, among other things, gluten-free bread, pasta and much more... it was a successful evening 🙂Thank you, we'll be back!

Wir waren in "Halbfamilienbestzung" unterwegs auf dem Elberadweg. Papa mit Sohn und die Schwiegermama/Oma. Es hat uns allen dreien sehr gut gefallen im Ricard. Das Essen war sehr sehr gut, ausgesucht aus einer schönen, abwechslungsreichen Auswahl. Auf Sonderwünsche für den Sohn wurde eingegangen und auch die Weinempfehlungen waren bestens. Alle geben sich Mühe, vom Abräumen bis zum Chef der rumgeht und fragt, wie es war. Wir sassen draussen, aber das geschmackvolle Interieur im Innenbereich und auch die Toiletten seien hier sehr positiv erwähnt. Also, wir können das Ricard im Hundertwassergebäude Magdeburg sehr empfehlen. Es ist nicht günstig, aber den Preis wert. Wir wünschen viel Erfolg und freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen!

The most reprehensible look in all of Germany. Tourists "appear" at the Hundertwasser house, how "surprising".

Finally another good restaurant for Magdeburg. I was there with a colleague who also works in the catering industry. We both ate very well (schnitzel, veal cheeks) and were served very well (young waiter and experienced waitress). I really like the atmosphere and the price/performance ratio is also right.

Für mich die absolute Nummer EINS in der Magdeburger Gastronomie. Hier gibt es authentische sizilianische Küche. Das einzige Zugeständnis an die Magdeburger Esskultur ist wahrscheinlich die Übergröße der Gerichte. Lage, Einrichtung, Service.- Alles top! 🔝 Der Chef kümmert sich hier zum Teil persönlich um seine Gäste. Bitte weiter so!

Das Personal ist top und sehr zuvorkommend. Auch wenn man manchmal etwas warten muss. Das Essen verspricht mehr als es hält. Die Pasta schön so denke aber zu ölig, die vitello Tonstörung ein großer Haufen Fleisch, lieblos angerichtet. Hier wäre weniger mehr. Die Location ist super, das erklärt auch da zu hohe Preisniveau.
