Rice "to meet you" in Essen

Our visit to “Reis to Meet You” was great. The food was delicious, modern and very cleanly prepared. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly service from SAMIN, who enriched our evening with her warm manner. We'd love to come back!

Ordered takeaway food. When paying I had to choose whether I wanted to tip. The button for no tip could not be pressed (touch display) and it only worked the 10th time.

The food was super tasty, the portions were also very large, the only thing I have to complain about is the service. I wanted to take the rest of my bowl to go, pay and leave because I had an appointment afterwards. Unfortunately, I had to wait about 15 minutes just for the lady to move my food into the box because she had made and served 5 other bowls beforehand (although moving the food into the box is obviously much quicker than setting up a bowl). After the third time asking how long it would take and the next attempt to send me away with the excuse that she was alone and had a lot to do, my food was finally packed and I was able to pay. I would recommend hiring a second person.

The combo plate was ok overall. The meat and rice were ok, unfortunately the fries were too soft. The sauce was very tasty, but not enough for the portion (in my opinion). So for the price I would have expected a little more. What I found unpleasant was that I was actively asked if I would like to give a tip, and this was at a takeaway. The very friendly service is a positive highlight.

The food was good. Unfortunately the service is not. I actually recommend hiring another person. The lady at the counter had to prepare the food, bring the food to the guests and collect the money. Unfortunately the whole thing took too long for me and I didn't feel like I was in good hands.

Everything was incredibly tasty and with the individual sauces it was a taste experience. If you come in a larger group, you should definitely make a reservation because there is not much space. We sat outside and didn't get wet under the large umbrellas despite the light rain. The service was also great. We were warmly welcomed and advised! Absolute recommendation!

I don't really understand what people are celebrating about it. Super dry but also tasteless and poorly served. And the salad and sauces were just a joke

Unfortunately I didn't like the food at all. :(The rice was very dry, as was the meat. In addition, the salad portion was particularly small. The sauces were also very lean. Unfortunately, I don't understand the hype at all.

I've never eaten anything so dry in my life. I was missing salt and spices. For the price you can get a much better portion and better taste elsewhere. But we supposedly had salad that originally consisted of two tomatoes and a slice of onion. Unfortunately a very blatant disappointment :(.

Small snack bar with Persian cuisine. The food didn't blow me away, but it was quite expensive. But the service was extremely nice and took perfect care of the guests.

I can safely say that this was the most delicious Iranian food I experienced in Germany. Deep flavor and a combination of originality and innovation.

I visited the restaurant today and would like to share my experience. The restaurant itself is small, but they have made the most of the space available and made it cozy. The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made the visit pleasant. The food wasn't as juicy as I'm used to from other Persian restaurants, but rather dry. The minced skewer in particular was very dry and had hardly any taste. The portions were also smaller than expected. There was only one skewer, which was quite narrow compared to other restaurants. The price-performance ratio is also not right. For the price you would have expected at least two skewers per portion. Overall it was a nice experience but there is definitely room for improvement in the food, portion sizes and value for money. However, it is not enough for a second visit.

Nicely decorated. Staff very nice. The food was okayyy, just not the way we usually know Persian cuisine. I don't want to offend anyone, but the kubideh somehow tasted like it had been frozen and the quality of the rice wasn't that great or it was pre-cooked and warmed up 🙈😬

The service was very nice and attentive, which made the visit pleasant. The food was tasty overall, but there were some weaknesses. The rice, which was supposed to be the focus of the dish, was disappointing and reminiscent of standard run-of-the-mill rice. The chicken was OK but not outstanding. The homemade sauces were a real highlight, but a bit limited. The portions are generous, so you'll definitely be full. However, I think the price is too high for a dish that mainly consists of rice and a chicken skewer. This may be due to the good location in Rüttenscheid. “Rice to meet You” has potential, but I don’t think it’s fully utilized. The rice in particular should be of higher quality. Overall, there is a feeling of disappointment, although the sauces and the friendly service were positive. The price-performance ratio is not right for me. I hope the restaurant improves in the areas mentioned because the potential is definitely there.

Rarely have such bad Persian food. Rice oversalted and without butter. There was no sabzi khordan like every Persian has before a meal. Kubideh extremely dry and salty. Dough was non-carbonated. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Were there to break the fast, cute little restaurant, small menu, very nice owners. The soup we got as a starter was very tasty but I found the food to be very far from authentic Iranian/Persian food. I had a combo plate with kubideh and steak, I didn't like either of them that much, I also found the rice too dry, but the fries were great. But I have to be honest, I wouldn't pay €26 again to break my fast with a drink for food that was too dry for me. Nevertheless, I see nice employees (a bit uncomfortable if you go there with several people)

All in all just perfect! Luckily we found this restaurant and tried it out.

A small snack bar that offers such excellent food. We were extremely positively surprised. Everything tasted really good, perfectly seasoned and cooked. The chicken was of great quality. The service was very friendly and gave great recommendations. What surprised me even more is that the store didn't smell like a grill/fryer or anything like that. You can tell that investment has been made here in high-quality equipment. I would go there again at any time. Go there, you won't be disappointed.

I was at Rice's "to meet you" to break my fast. For Iftar we were brought a very tasty soup and dates on the house, which I found very nice. My meal was incredibly tasty and filling, the atmosphere was cozy, although a bit small, and the service was very friendly (at least one of the two women). The prices were more than reasonable and I was really pleasantly surprised. I would go there again at any time to enjoy delicious Iranian food.

We were there for the first time last year, were warmly welcomed and given dates and soup to break the fast for Ramadan. Yesterday 2nd day of Ramadan, it is written in the shop, for Ramadan you get a small soup with dates to break until the food is ready. Unfortunately we weren't spoken to, we were of course hungry, 10 minutes later I ask for the soup, oh sorry then we don't get a joke "a soup and 2 dates for the three of us", we, hungry, take 3 spoons for a bowl and off we go. Plus the store was empty the whole time. The employees' full attention was on the deliveries. And honestly the prices are unfounded, I paid 12.95 for a roll sandwich with tough beef. I don't really care about the price, I was there again because of the nice welcome and the nice atmosphere that existed at the beginning. A pity.

Nice small restaurant with friendly staff and very nice food.

Apparently going to the restaurant spontaneously is not a good idea. Stood in front of a locked door at 2 p.m. The cook who saw us didn't even bother to come to the door to talk to us, she just said they had spontaneously decided not to open the shop until 3 p.m.!

Unfortunately, the opening times aren't correct, it wasn't open to customers at 2 p.m., I was supposed to come back in "an hour or more" because a catering order had to be processed now

The food is beautifully prepared, but the portion is very small for the money. In addition, the steak meat was very tough and dry. The waiting time on site was very long, even though we were the only guests. A pity. All in all, I wouldn't recommend it.

The food is very good. But the price ratio is not right, far too expensive. A strip of meat skewer. A heap of salad. Way too much rice. For that price you could get 2 to 3 strips of meat. More salad, and more sauce.

There were five of us in the restaurant yesterday. During the previous call, I was kindly asked to call back shortly beforehand, as no reservations were actually being made. No sooner said than done and it worked out great. The restaurant is very small, but the service and the dishes are great. We were warmly welcomed and served. The dishes are delicious and the portion size will definitely fill you up. Really recommended!

The dishes are presented in an attractive way, with a diverse and flavorful selection that is inspired by Iranian cuisine but not limited to the usual kebab dishes – it's fresh and delicious. The restaurant has a warm and inviting ambiance. The staff is neat, courteous, and kind, and they really care about their customers. I strongly recommend it.

A small but very nice and modern restaurant. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. The menu is clear and modern and offers something for everyone, from meat dishes to vegetarian dishes. We were there as a family with two children and absolutely loved it. The kids had Chicken Fries & Steak Fries and we had Chicken Rice & Combo 5 with all meats. We also had falafels and stuffed grape leaves. The taste of the food was simply delicious and you can taste the freshness and quality with every bite. I absolutely can't understand comments about overpriced prices because if I go out to eat then it's not just a mess and in the current inflation situation I'm more skeptical than happy when meat dishes are cheap. I'm happy to pay a little more for more quality and for this reason I definitely won't eat anything for a few euros less just to fill myself up, but I'll happily come back to Rice to meet you more often where the quality and taste are worth every euro is. Please keep it up and keep the quality the same 👍🏼 We'll come back more often!

Das Essen war so salzig und der Reis war trocken

Wenn man vor Ort bestellt, dauert es einfach viel zu lange bis das Essen zubereitet und serviert wird. Wir haben mehr als 30 min gewartet.

Unser Besuch im “Rice to Meet You” war super! Die Bedienung war schnell, lieb und freundlich. Die Portionen waren genug groß, vor allem das Hähnchen und das Hackfleisch haben toll geschmeckt. Der Salat war richtig lecker, besonders für mich. Einziger Verbesserungspunkt: Der Reis war etwas zu fest. Aber insgesamt waren wir echt zufrieden und die Preise waren fair. Wir kommen gerne wieder.Danke

Super schöner Laden in Rüttenscheid. Die Bedienunh war sehr freundlich und das Essen war auch sehr gut! Die Soßen haben mich besonders angesprochen. Ich hatte die Combo 2. das einzige was ich zu bemängeln hätte wäre, dass das Fleisch leicht trocken war

Ein wahrer Genuss! Dieses Restaurant verbindet meisterhaft die persische Küche mit der modernen, gesunden Küche. Das Fleisch (in meinem Fall das Chicken) war exzellent zubereitet, der Salat perfekt abgeschmeckt und die dazugehörigen Dips super lecker. Der Preis der „üppigen“ Speisen ist hier unschlagbar, stellt man die Preise für vergleichbare Speisen (arabisch, türkisch) denen von Rice gegenüber (für Gourmets gibt es da ja noch McDonald’s 🙄). Die gesamte Atmosphäre war einfach top. Der Service war sehr freundlich, äußerst sympathisch und zuvorkommend. Trotz der gemütlichen Größe des Lokals fanden viele Gäste Platz (Meisterleistung der kompetenten Chefin). Eine echte Empfehlung für jeden Genießer! 5* von mir 👍🏼

Fleisch war sehr trocken. Reis war trocken. Es hat mir nicht geschmeckt da es nicht gut zubereitet war. Es war mir auch nicht authentisch persisch genug.

Ich kann nichts anderes sagen wie TOP Essen :) waren gestern zum ersten Mal dort und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Sehr gute Portionen und sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Werden öfter vorbei schauen.

Leckeres persisches Essen. Wir wurden bei unserem letzten Besuch sehr herzlich bedient und die Mitarbeiterin war total nett und zuvorkommend. Das Menü ist gut durchdacht und es verschafft einen guten Einstieg in die persische Küche. Ein absoluter Toppunkt ist, dass sie wir Tahdig als Vorspeise bekommen haben. Mit dieser netten Geste hat das Restaurant bereits mein Herz erobert. Zudem gab es nach dem Hauptgang einen leckeren Tee mit Rosenwasser. Was ich leider nur schade finde ist jedoch, dass das Restaurant sehr klein. Wir haben trotzdem einen Platz bekommen und kommen sehr gerne erneut vorbei :)

Richtig gutes Essen. Hatte Rinderfilet und Den Hackspieß mit Reis und Pommes. Alles perfekt angerichtet. Grandiose Soße. Die Portionen sind groß. Ich bin begeistert und hab mich wohl gefühlt. Das Lokal ist klein und besinnt sich auf eine kleine Auswahl an Gerichten. Diese sind dafür ein Traum! Genau richtig so!

Das Essen ist lecker, allerdings ist der Service extrem schlecht, wenn die Chefin nicht da ist. Man wartet eigentlich immer über 30-40 Minuten auf zwei Wraps, selbst wenn man als erster im Laden bestellt hat.

Sehr leckeres persisches Essen - gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis! Man sitzt nicht so ganz gemütlich, aber das ist für das, was man bekommt, nachrangig! Wir kommen gerne nochmal :)

Served in beautiful plates with a tasteful variety that has an Iranian base but is not entirely the traditional Iranian kebab style – it's new and tasty. The restaurant has a nice, cozy atmosphere. The staff is clean, polite, and friendly, and they truly value their customers. Highly recommended. Don't forget to have tea after your meal, as it's very enjoyable.

Insgesamt guter Eindruck, allerdings bezüglich der Gastlichkeit viele Missverständnisse! Das Essen soll vorher bezahlt werden, geht überhaupt nicht! Untypisch für Persisches Restaurant. Zb die Tasse Tee kostet 2 € gehört einfach dazu, wenn ein Essen bei 15€ liegt! Allgemein sind die Getränke überteuert. Für einen Imbiss gute Qualität!

Echt super frisch und lecker. Einziger Kritikpunkt: bei der gegrillten Aubergine ist noch Luft nach oben. Versucht's mal mit vorher einlegen in Salz. Gerne wieder.

Alles war super lecker, wir haben queer durchs Menü bestellt. Die Mitarbeiter sind total lieb, vorallem die Inhaberin. Der Service und das Essen haben uns sehr gefallen. Es ist gesund und geschmacklich top zugleich. Ich kann den Laden auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Es war ein schöner Abend für uns 🥰

Das erste mal Persisch und ich muss sagen hier wurde ich definitv überzeugt Absoulut leckeres Essen eine 10/10 kleiner laden aber niedlich Das Personal extrem freundlich und Gastfreundlich Meiner Frau ging es für einen kurzen moment nicht gut sofort wurde weitergeholfen die nette Dame stand auch bei uns und hat sich genau so sorgen gemacht wie ich Jederzeit gerne !! Schaut mal einfach vorbei und schlemmert mal die köstlichkeiten Fleisch 10/10 Salat 10/10 Toppings 10/10

11/10. Ich habe lange nach einem so guten Persischen Restaurant gesucht. Nun endlich gefunden. Das Restaurant ist wirklich so so toll und schmeckt einfach hausgemacht lecker. Kann ich jedem empfehlen. Zudem ist der Service ist top! Komme immer wieder gerne.

Aufgrund von einem Youtuber haben wir diesen Laden aufgesucht, der auffallend über das Essen im positiven Sinne geschwärmt hat. Wir hatten uns das Combo-Paket 1 und 2 bestellt. Mein Essen kam nach ca. 15 Minuten, wohlgemerkt kalt serviert an unseren Tisch. Das Hähnchen hat nach Rindfleisch geschmeckt und der mediterrane Spieß war hart und ungenießbar. Der Reis war meines Erachtens nicht frisch gekocht, sondern eher aufgewärmt, denn er hat auffallend einen unangenehmen Geruch vom Reiskocher abgesondert. Die Fries waren allerdings schmackhaft. Abschließend würde ich meinen, dass 19 Euro für dieses Desaster, absolut übertrieben sind.

Das Essen sieht nur schick aus, schmecken tut es aber garnicht… wenn ihr richtiges persisches Essen wollt, fahrt nach Altendorf bei Bamyan Kebab, viel günstiger und 100x leckerer.

Das Essen und der Service ist top!!!

Es ist ein netter Lokal, aber es ist weit weg vom original persischen Essen. Außerdem sind die Speisen wirklich knapp für den stolzen Preis. Am Foto sieht man, wie wir unsere Bestellung erhalten haben und dafür 40 EUR bezahlt. Das Fleisch hat auch nicht nach Lammfleisch geschmeckt.

Wir waren jetzt schon zwei mal dort. Das Essen an sich schmeckt ganz gut, jedoch ist es extrem trocken. Beim ersten Besuch hatten wir dies auch bemängelt, da unser Fleisch sehr zäh und trocken war. Man versprach uns Besserung, daher haben wir dem Lokal noch eine Chance gegeben. Es war diesmal beinahe schlimmer, leider. Angerichtet wird es jedoch sehr ansprechend, daher hoffe ich wirklich, dass meine Rezension Besserung verschafft. Einen zusätzlichen Stern gibt es für die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter.

Absolut durchschnittliches Essen zu einem viel zu überteuerten Preis. Da war jeder Hähnchenspieß in Essen zu der Hälfte des Preises bisher besser. Wir haben 1 1/2 Std gewartet und es gab schon um 17 Uhr nicht mehr genügend Salat vorrätig (?), Service war unmotiviert und unhöflich.

Der Reis schmeckt leider total künstlich als würde man Plastik essen. Das Fleisch ist mega hart und zäh.
