Food was not so tasty, everything was very greasy but everything else was okay

A touch of Spain, the red sangria was delicious, the food was good and the portions were large, very good value for money, only the accompanying salad could have used a little more dressing, we enjoyed it

This is not how I want to be treated as a guest! 1:00 p.m. on a Saturday – we (three people) were seated (by the manager) at the uncomfortable counter table by the door because we hadn't made a reservation. The large restaurant remained 75% empty for the next hour. Our two requests for a more comfortable seat were simply ignored. The tapas tasted so-so. Probably my last visit!

Used to be the best Spanish restaurant for me. Nowadays, it's unfriendly and lacks interest in its guests and the quality of its food.

I'm embarrassed that Spanish food has to be represented by this bar-restaurant. As a Spaniard, living in Hanover for eight years, I've been there three or four times, and each time has been worse than the last. The quality of the product is very low, and frozen, of course. It may be frozen, which it shouldn't be given the price, but at least it should be good. They charge you fresh product prices for frozen products and they prepare them poorly. There's a lot of burnt oil—fritanga is the word—all Spaniards know what that means, too much grease and poor quality; everything has that greasy taste. In fact, if you're there for more than an hour, you'll leave with that smell clinging to your clothes, the smell of a churro shop. This last time, remembering that everything is greasy, I went for a beer and a tapa of Galician-style octopus as an appetizer, since they're Galicians, and octopus isn't fried. Well, the plate was one of those typical wooden ones where this tapa is usually served, but the plate was so worn that the edges were chipped and black, but black inside, and it was the size of a dessert plate. The octopus, frozen of course, had a lot of salt and very spicy paprika, and the largest slice was the size of a 5-cent coin. Two small beers and the "super tapa" of octopus cost 25 euros. Oh! One last thing, as a Valencian, I've eaten thousands of paellas in my life, some very good and others not so much. I mean, I know what I'm talking about, so don't even think about ordering paella. That's not paella, another of the things they represent, and it makes me even more angry and ashamed because it doesn't even come close to being a paella. It's a disgrace that restaurants like this represent excellent Spanish cuisine.

Authentic Spanish cuisine and friendly service. The restaurant itself is quite noisy. If you're sensitive to noise but don't want to miss out on good food, it's best to bring earplugs.

Unfriendly, slow staff. Staff had to be called, resulting in long waits. Some food was cold and not brought at the same time. Food was forgotten and only brought when we were finished. The restaurant manager showed a lack of understanding toward the guests and was obviously annoyed and ignored them afterward.

We were at Rias for a communal meal for our department. It would be comparable to a family celebration, confirmation, communion, birthday, or similar. There was a buffet of drinks and appetizers, followed by tapas. Some people received vegetarian tapas separately, and special dietary requests were taken into account when ordering in advance. In short: the service was fast, attentive, and friendly. The food was appealing, tasty, and plentiful, and everyone was full and satisfied at the end. The space in the Ahrbergviertel is just right for this type of dining experience, encouraging social gatherings and giving the experience the right flair. I'll be back. Of course.

Nachdem wir beim letzten Mal enttäuscht waren, haben wir dem Restaurant noch eine neue Chance gegeben. Doch wieder fühlten wir uns nur abgefertigt. Das Personal war nur gering bemüht und alles andere als aufmerksam. Das Essen war ebenfalls lieblos und wenig schmackhaft. Schade! Wir kommen nicht wieder.

We were invited here by friends. The tapas buffet left nothing to be desired. The staff was very friendly. I can't comment on the prices - as I wrote: "invited." Definitely recommended.

Ambiance fits very well. It's also a quiet corner. The service is good, quick, attentive and friendly. The food is ok. Personally, I lack depth of flavor and creativity when it comes to food. Sure, you can't get Spanish food on every corner, but unfortunately it doesn't go beyond the boring average that you can get at home with a little practice. If you want to keep the kitchen clean, you have to dig moderately deep into your pockets. In terms of price, you have to be careful about what you order and how much you order. There were six of us and we ate tappas. For this, including a drink each, we spent almost 220 euros (plus a 25 euro tip). So just a little more expensive than other restaurants. All in all, it's a bit boring after the third visit and that's why I wouldn't come back anytime soon.

I can only recommend this restaurant. The tapas are super tasty and there is a selection to suit every taste. The sangria (both white and red) is very tasty. The service was very friendly and the price/performance ratio was absolutely fine. A reservation makes sense as it is very busy.

For me the best and most authentic Spanish restaurant in Hanover. The food is simply delicious and the staff and owners are super nice. I enjoy coming here and have always recommended the restaurant. The tapas in particular are really good! In summer you can also sit comfortably outside and enjoy the evening with live Spanish guitar music 👌

The grill plate was very varied with good quality meat, and the tapas were also very tasty. The Crema Catalana 👌 The service staff were consistently friendly and often looked after everything. Only the ambience can be improved, which doesn't detract from the food itself.

Dined with my mother again in the Galician tradition. As always it was very tasty. This time we ordered the tapas, pulpo a la gallega, chipirones, pimientos de padrón and patatas bravas and a flan each for dessert. The variety of tapas makes every meal very interesting and balanced.

Due to personal circumstances I hadn't gone for a while, today I returned and the service was very good, like the last time. I have ordered a portion of hake in shrimp sauce, and obviously since everything cannot be perfect, I have a complaint that although it does not go directly to Rias Baixas, I do think it is a very negative point that it is rude to lick the plates SPECTACULAR, I have no complaints about any of the dishes I have tried but I can even say that this one has made this day more beautiful 😃. It's a shame not to be able to visit you again. But I will return. Thank you.

The Spanish restaurant "Rias Baixas 2" is a real insider tip for tapas lovers! The selection is varied and every dish impresses with its freshness and authentic taste. After spending 23 years in Spain I came to this restaurant wanting to try my local food that I miss so much because I’m living in Germany right now, ordered many things and I was completely disappointed when the owner did not accepted the return of a tapa of eggplants that were totally disgusting stating that they do it like that and nobody complained about it. Ordered octopus (it was heated in the microwave, a real sin for a Galician restaurant) jamón is the same that you can buy in the supermarket, everything was okey to eat but the eggplants were totally disgusting, I asked the waiter to remove it and he agreed but after talking with his manager he put it back stating that they were totally fine. On a total tab of 75€ seems that the manager prioritize 6€ and the insatisfaction of a Spanish client that would not return to this restaurant.

We were there with two people on a Sunday. When we ordered we let it be known that we were in a bit of a hurry. The service was extremely quick yet attentive. The food tasted fantastic, the tapas portions were larger than usual. We will return next time with more time

Ate here on four days during the training last week. The service staff was very friendly and the food was really tasty. The daily menus always had something good and were always delicious. The fried potatoes as a side dish are great, as is the chorizo ​​in some dishes and the salsa sauce.

The waiters took great care of us and also checked with us because of our allergies to make sure everything was okay. Nice atmosphere. Food was tasty, price was okay. A very good Spanish restaurant. The food is exceptional and the service, even for children, is very accommodating. The location is nice and the waiting time is very short. The only thing I noticed is that the menu is sometimes not detailed enough for those who don't know (which side dish you get with the steak, for example) but the advice and service make up for that.

Good vegetarian selection. Food was a bit dry and tasteless though, expected more flavour for the price. I tried the dishes below as well as some of the potato based dishes and all seemed dry. Quite expensive, however each tapas plate is very shareable. The servers kept asking our group multiple times if we wanted more without prompting which felt like they were being pushy.

The ambience is actually really nice, especially because you can sit outside under cover. Unfortunately, there was also smoking there, which is why you constantly get smoke. The tapas were quite ok. The potatoes are great. The meatballs weren't all that great. The fish is supposed to be good, but I haven't tried it myself. Unfortunately the grill plate was really not good. The meat was quite tough and there was actually only bones and cartilage on the lamb. A pity.
