Fresh Greek cuisine and nice staff. I had the gyro salad and was very impressed. The gyros were crispy yet juicy, the dressing was delicious. There were also fresh mushrooms on the salad and there was ouzo as a welcome and farewell.

We spontaneously went to this restaurant for the first time. We were served friendly. The service was courteous and quick on the spot. The tzatziki was very, very tasty. The main course was sufficient, fresh and also good. The only suggestion we have for improvement is that the plates be warmed up beforehand. so that you can enjoy the food for longer. We thought the price/performance was right. For two people €61 for three drinks, starters and main course. We would come again

We were a group of around 20 people + children and babies. Very friendly staff. Coloring book for the kids was provided. The babies' food was warmed. We were always well supplied with drinks. Our food orders arrived in good time, considering the number of guests. Wow! I found the food itself to be very delicious and beautifully prepared. It was my first visit to a Greek restaurant.

We were disappointed. We actually had fond memories of the restaurant, but that's not possible. Carelessly prepared plates and the noodles from the children's meal were hard.

I've known the Greek for a long time and have been there several times. Most of the time I take the same thing, the Rhodes plate. Unfortunately the quality has deteriorated somewhat. There was only a small heap of tzatziki and the meat was very dry. That's a shame because the prices have risen immeasurably and good quality is expected accordingly. The ambience and service are great. Unfortunately, no alternative to ouzo is offered during pregnancy.

The food was super tasty across the board. Very large portions. The grill plate for 2 people is enough for 3. The tzatziki is super delicious. The only mango you really smell like Greek food when you go out. The jackets had to go into the wash immediately🫣

It was my second visit to Rhodes Pallas and I was thrilled again. Starter fried pepperoni, good portion with tzatziki and bread. Main course, classic gyro plate. Plus two glasses of wine. Total price with TIP 40€ Nice, courteous waiters, but the ambience left something to be desired. I will stop by again on my next business trip.

I was in this restaurant at the beginning of November. The food didn't taste bad. You can eat there. I personally missed Greek hospitality. The ambience you would expect from a Greek restaurant was not present in my dining room. I didn't see a lunch menu (cheaper food). A meal costs around 18 euros. The restaurant is neat and clean. I can't say more about that. The tastes are of course different.

A song of praise for the house and kitchen! Yesterday, November 2nd, 2024 at around 5:10 p.m. we consulted this excellent location. The atmosphere was very pleasant. The food presented to us was exactly what we wanted. The dishes were all juicy and had an excellent taste. The Greek touch (I know Greek cuisine quite well thanks to my many years in Greece) could clearly be tasted. It would certainly have been possible to communicate with the staff in Greek. The price/performance ratio - an evaluation factor that should not be underestimated - also seemed appropriate to us. Thanks and praise to the kitchen and service.

We were very disappointed... Given the many positive reviews, we had imagined it would be different. The service was very lackluster. We had to wait about 80 minutes for the food. There was no "free" salad before. (We know that differently, especially when it comes to prices!!!). The portions were very small and the taste was so-so. The Metaxa sauce was pure mush and totally over salted... Everything was prepared very carelessly... Sorry never again...

We spontaneously went to eat here. We were warmly welcomed and given a comfortable table. The service was very friendly throughout, especially very child-friendly. We were welcomed with an ouzo and the kids were given a children's soda to toast with. Of course that was really well received by both of them😊 The food was very tasty and everyone was stuffed afterwards. The price-performance ratio was very good. Have often paid more for less. We would definitely come here again👍

Great Greek restaurant with attentive and quick service.

The food was quite ok. We had pork medallions gratinated with Metaxa sauce and gyros with Metaxa sauce. The pork medallions were okay. The gyros with Metaxa sauce could be spiced up a bit with vegetables (e.g. mushrooms). For me personally there was too much meat, but the quality, seasoning and texture definitely need to be improved. The prices are okay and the service is friendly. The still (tap) water was very expensive (4€ for 0.4 l).

Absolutely recommended and not a tourist scam! We as travelers were very pleasantly surprised. Attentive and of course friendly service without long waiting times. Plus a gyro as it should be: crispy, hot and not overly fatty. This is not always a given in Greek restaurants! If we visit the city again, we will definitely come back!

Wir waren dieses Jahr 2 mal dort essen ,da ja jeder eine zweite Chance verdient hat,aber unser Fazit ist ,nie wieder!! Das erste Mal war das Gyros total angebrannt.Als wir es reklamieren wollten kam nur ein Schulterzucken des Kellners ,das war’s.Beim zweiten Besuch war das Fleisch mindestens vom Vortag,trocken und lauwarm.Als wir bezahlen wollten gab es eine riesige Debatte um einen Gutschein.Der neue Chef ist hochgradig aggressiv und arrogant.Die Gäste interessieren ihn überhaupt nicht,es geht einfach ums Geld machen ,schade früher sind wir gern mal hingegangen.

Always worth a trip. The food is absolutely delicious and perfect. The service always took care of you. The lamb fillet and the squid are absolutely delicious. Next time I'll try a few other things... Price is absolutely fine and reasonable.

Tried it out spontaneously and absolutely loved it. All I can say is that I missed something. Unfortunately the portion was too big, even though I was really hungry. If you would like to eat Greek, you have come to the right place 👍

Average German food instead of Greek, quite expensive. Not recommended if you want to try authentic Greek cuisine. According to other comments I had expected free ouzo after meal, but I was offered nothing. All other german costmers were provided with ouzos. What a shame! One of my friends also encountered that teenagers threw something at her. I am very dissappointed about the city.

After we didn't get what we ordered, there was no response from those responsible. Since the food is very tasty, I can't understand why you don't want to defend your guild... The restaurant is almost empty!? Instead of lamb steak, the lamb plate contained lamb fillet and lamb chops: 3 lamb chops and a tiny lost lamb fillet!😩 Tarama cream, which should contain both the starter and the main course, was replaced with feta cream. This doesn't work without justification! 🙈 We pay now and continue our needs in another restaurant. 🤷‍♀️

The food was OK. But then the positive impression ends. There must be ZERO points for the service. The glasses were empty, but either there was no waiter in sight or he just walked past, uninterested. When paying (there were 2 couples) it was almost an imposition that each couple wanted to pay for themselves. If we are in Weimar again, we will definitely avoid this restaurant. 🫣🫣🫣

Friendly, long-standing staff, delicious food

The quality of the food was still very good. We had to wait a long time for drinks and the bill...

We arrived very hungry and were warmly welcomed and the staff were generally very friendly. The tables were sticky, which was very uncomfortable if you stood up. The drink order was taken quickly and we quickly had it at the table...there were empty plates at each of the seats. Why they were placed there remains a mystery to us to this day. These plates were then cleared away again by the staff. Then the food order was taken. We know that every Greek, without exception, serves a small salad to tide them over until the meal is served. That wasn't the case here, which really disappointed us. The longer we had to wait for our food, the more our moods changed! After almost an hour and a half (including being very hungry), the first meal was served! But not for everyone at the table either. The first of us had already finished eating when the others were allowed to start one by one. The rice was completely missing from my plate and the bifteki was still pink, i.e. half raw! The quality of the minced meat isn't really good either (it contains a lot of tendons). The Metaxa sauce tasted like Maggi tomato soup with sour cream. Child wasn't given ketchup at home with the large portion of fries, so we had to reorder...several times! Each time there was only a small mini sachet of ketchup, which was just enough for 4 fries. Everyone else had similar complaints, only a few of us finished because it didn't taste good (rice was dry, cheese was burnt so you couldn't cut it, etc.) or the rest were very dissatisfied. We'd love to come back to Weimar, but we won't be visiting this restaurant again.

We know Rhodes from earlier times. As soon as the food came, I thought, how is a strong guy supposed to get enough? That's how it was, luckily our guest didn't like carbohydrates that evening and so my husband could still eat these fries. The little bit of meat was well hidden under all the sauce. A lot of money for little. The salad is now completely saved, but it now costs three euros. Luckily the waiter made up for it all with his friendliness. But for us, no more recommendations, too bad...

Best Greek. You can always get a seat here even if you don't reserve. It's best to go there at 6 p.m. Afterwards you can literally watch the restaurant fill up. Best chance for the best seats. Every meal tastes great. So never change the chef. Others have done that and regretted it. The staff really fulfills every wish, is courteous and very friendly. The prices are completely ok. On average, you should budget around 75 euros for two people for a great weekend evening.

Normal Greek restaurant, nothing particularly positive or negative

We just had dinner and the food and service are fabulous here. For us there was nothing to complain about. The Gyros Metaxa is the best around. The service staff are under absolute stress due to being understaffed, which you don't notice in any way (hats off to their performance, great). We would love to come back!!!

The food was nothing special, some of the meat was a bit tough, unfortunately the grilled peppers I had as a starter were only warm and not grilled. You had to pay an extra €5 for a starter salad, but so far I've gotten this for free with the main course in every other Greek restaurant. There was an ouzo on the house both at the beginning and at the end.

It's a shame, not so good anymore....Eat cold and way too much garlic, you couldn't taste anything else. Service was nice but lackluster and the ambience was okay.

The experience at Rhodes Pallas was bad. The starter seemed carelessly presented and tasted bitter due to the old pickled garlic. The lamb in the main course was not as crispy as I prefer and the side dishes seemed tasteless and bland. Unfortunately the garlic potatoes were slightly bitter. The tzatziki didn't appear to be homemade, and the pork medallions were drowned in a packet of metaxa sauce. The service was nice, but seemed lackluster at times. Actually, we should have left immediately when we noticed the walls splattered with grease and the lackluster table decorations. I think the good reviews come from guests who have never enjoyed a top Greek restaurant. Tip: fire the chef immediately and walk through the restaurant with your eyes open and clear out.

First time in Weimar and first time eating at Rhodes Pallas. I've never had such a bad Greek meal before. Find the meat in whatever sauce it was. Will definitely not recommend the restaurant. Actually, zero points for the food would have been filling. Terrible

Modern designed restaurant with a family atmosphere, very hospitable even when it's full, delicious food with a nice ambience, that's fine. Unfortunately there is no meatless main course, the vegetarians in our group had to make do with several starters.

We were there for dinner on December 29th, 2023. We went home very disappointed. The service was nice and friendly. The food bad. The meat and fish were very dry and poorly seasoned. The sauces tasted like they came from a discount store. We will visit Weimar again, but not Rhodes Pallas.

Der Hammer!!!! Ich war in meinem ganzen Leben noch nicht in so einem guten griechischen Restaurant! Es schmeckt einfach richtig geil. Ich hatte das Rumpsteak. Es war das beste was ich in meinem Leben gegessen habe. Ich muss sagen preis leistungs Verhältniss top. Da habe ich gerne 10€ Trinkgeld gegeben.

Wir hatten uns spontan entschieden essen zu gehen. Dadurch leider auch keinen Tisch reserviert, ohne Probleme wurde versucht uns noch unterzubringen. Es folgte eine prompte sehr freundliche Bedienung in einem hübschen Ambiente, das Essen schmeckte hervorragend .Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Nach langer Zeit mal wieder dort gewesen. War sehr enttäuscht. Essen sehr sehr nachgelassen. Wände voll mit Fettspritzer. FAZIT: Danke das war das letzte mal hier..

Wir waren gestern hier zum Abendessen. Alles im allen war es geschmacklich gut, aber nicht herausragend. Vorspeise gebratene Peperoni mit Knoblauch war ok, hätte schärfer angebraten sein können. Waren aber trotzdem weich. Das Fleisch war ok gewürzt aber alles durchgegart wie bei fast jedem Griechen. Die wenigen griechischen Restaurants welche es schaffen scharf anzubraten ohne dass das Fleisch trocken ist (und die gibt es wenn auch selten) sind meine Favoriten. Das selbe bei der gebratenen Leber, lieber kleiner dafür dickere Stücke sonst wird es trocken. Die saure Note bei der Leber hat mich etwas überrascht, kann man so machen. Habe ich aber noch nie bei einem Griechen so stark rausgeschmeckt. Zaziki war für mich auch ok, kenne ich schlechter aber auch würziger, was ich persönlich bevorzuge. Metaxasoße bei meinem Weibchen war auch ok, nicht mehr und nicht weniger. Wenn alles so Durchschnitt war wieso dann gute 4 Sterne? Das Gyros war absolut spitze. Kann mich nicht erinnern schon mal so knuspriges bekommen zu haben. Es war dafür sogar noch erstaunlich feucht. Und es sind echt große Portionen! Also satt wird man auch ohne kostenlosen Vorspeisensalat (kein Salat hatte ich noch nie, aber besser keinen als einen schlechten) Alles im allem kann man hier essen gehen ohne es zu bereuen, es gibt schlechtere aber auch besser griechische Restaurants.

Wer den Chef nicht kennt oder küsst hat verloren. Bedienung herzlos und ohne Empathie, Hauptsache schnell wieder die Plätze räumen. Zuerst nur für Touris. Die Essen Ding nicht das Übliche Griechen Gedöns und daher echt interessant. Aber am Ende bleibt: Beim ersten Mal interessant, Beim Zweiten nicht mehr o.k. Die Essen waren nicht mehr so toll, da der Zauber des neuen weg war. Z .Bsp: Zaziki: Schweine teuer und nicht wirklich mein Geschmavk. Zu viel Tam Tam für zu wenig Geschmack. Beim ersten Mal dachte ich: wow, anders, aber gut. Jetzt: Fzde, tröge, nichts- und das für den Preis. Nein, ich bin jedes Jahr in Weimar, aber nicht wieder da. Zumal die Bedienung nicht gerade vor Höflichkeit strotzt.

Die Kellner waren freundlich aber eher verhalten. Wir haben zur Karte und zur Rechnung jeweils einen Ouzo bekommen. Unser Essen kam sehr schnell, war dann aber nur mittelmäßig. Knoblauchbrot schmeckte nicht nach Knoblauch sondern nach einer Fertigkräutermischung. Salat wenig liebevoll angerichtet und der Tzatziki war ok.

Das beste griechische Restaurant der Stadt meiner Meinung nach. Sehr freundliches Personal und sehr gepflegte Küche. Die Gerichte sind mit Sorgfalt zubereitet und serviert (das Auge isst bekanntlich mit) und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt in dieser Kategorie auch.

Das Essen war lecker und die Portionen groß. Service ließ sich etwas Zeit und hat auch zwischendurch nicht nach uns geschaut oder nachgefragt. Keine Deko auf dem Tisch. Keine Kerze. Der erste Grieche wo der Vorspeisensalat extra kostet.

Die Gerichte ähneln einem Döner-teller vom Döner nebenan. Ich habe mehr erwartet. Außerdem leider sehr unfreundlich.
