The food tastes very good and the service is quick and warm. We always like to come back.

I can't fully understand the positive reviews. Salad with mayo has nothing to do with being Greek. The pork steak has a strange texture and the gyro takes some getting used to and is quite fatty. The service is very attentive and friendly. The 0.2 Spezi (poured exactly on the line) costs €2.90. A proud price. Overall, the price-performance ratio is not right, also with regard to the food and the atmosphere.

It's a shame I was there. Not a nice atmosphere, unfriendly service. Price performance is not justified. Lovelessly made dishes. I've never been hungry after a Greek meal before. The only positive thing was the Gyros Metaxa. I would never go there again. #thetraveleddi

Bad, rude service from both service staff present. The side salad is a joke, too little and carelessly prepared, ditto the starter portion of tzatziki. The meat from the chef's plate was dry, only the gyros were tasty. The fries were OK but not enough. You had the feeling not to be welcome.

Very bad service, the waiter was very unfriendly, you had the feeling that everything had to happen very quickly. It was cleared away even though others at the table were still eating. You couldn't enjoy the comfort and peace there. The portions were very small for a relatively high price. But the taste was ok.

My visit to the Greek restaurant El Greco was quite a disappointment. Instead of the garlic bread we ordered, we were given four bruschettas on a plate that was already used and stained with leftover salad. (Carrots) We were charged dearly for ordering zatziki, and to my surprise we also had to pay for each ouzo - there wasn't even one as a greeting, which is common in Greek restaurants. In addition, the manager of the house was quite pushy, kept coming to our table and patting my husband on the shoulder to ask if everything was okay. The food overall was tasteless - the salad and dressing seemed to be finished products and didn't have a good taste. Overall it was a disappointing experience.

Unfortunately not recommended. I have no idea why they treat paying customers like that. The food was good, but didn't represent adequate value for money. Way too expensive for the quantity and quality of the food. When I wanted to pay by card, they didn't tell me how much it would cost or put the bill down, but instead told me demandingly: hand over the card......um please????? When I asked how much it cost, I was told: Tips are only possible in cash. This is absolutely not possible!!! Unfortunately, I had already taken out the €5 note. Friendly is different. The woman we made the reservation with, however, was very friendly. Unfortunately no recommendation. Consistently know better Greek restaurants.

Super-duper Nice staff Enjoy your meal

The atmosphere is typically Greek and ok. We were also served quickly. But for vegetarians it is difficult. It says you can also get everything without meat. But hmmm. Do you want it that way? I then decided on a small farmer's salad, which was really ok. And a typical Greek starter. To be on the safe side, I asked again when ordering whether it was really vegetarian. I was assured of that. When it arrived, the first thing I saw was the salmon cream and then the strips of squid. When I complained to the waitress and then to the boss, both of them assured me again that the dish was vegetarian. There's just a little bit of squid in it. They really have no idea what it's about. This shouldn't happen anymore these days. I didn't get an apology and had to pay in full. And €27 for a small salad, an inedible starter and a soda is also pretty steep. SO BEWARE VEGETARIANS! I don't go there anymore.

The food is not good. My gyro was very dry and tasteless. The tomato rice was just rice with tomato paste. Very tasteless. The salad was fresh, but the dressing wasn't homemade. When the orders were served, two of the ordered foods were missing. The price is not appropriate for such food. Too bad.

One of the worst salads I've ever had to eat. I probably had the wrong idea about farmer's lettuce. I ordered without peppers, what was included? Exactly, peppers. The dressing was bland and everything was too salty. The bread was more than bad, not toasted or anything like that and tasteless. As the icing on the cake, the lime (?) in the tequila was bad. This was topped by the poor service. The waitress (the boss himself) didn't speak German well, probably didn't hear my drink and interrupted me in the middle of a sentence and already took the next order at the table. That's probably why he missed the fact that I didn't want peppers and I even said that I couldn't tolerate any, but he wasn't interested in what I had to say. My Kiba wasn't mixed at all, I had to do it myself. There was no salt and pepper on the table. As soon as someone had finished eating, their plate was cleared away after 2 minutes and some people no longer had it standing in front of them while others were still eating. So I don't know when was the last time I ate so badly. And when I look back at it again, I almost have to laugh. The whole thing was topped off by the unfriendly male waitress.

Just great. We go almost every week and it's delicious every time, no matter what you order. It's best to reserve a table. In summer I prefer to sit outdoors.

Unfortunately disappointed. We came here spontaneously for dinner with 3 children. The atmosphere was by no means “typical Greek” but rather a simple restaurant. But that doesn't bother you when you're eating. The service was taciturn but friendly. As a starter we had the garlic bread with olive oil and tomatoes. We all enjoyed it. However, we were a little disappointed with the food. Our daughter had the macaroni casserole from the children's menu. Unfortunately she didn't like it because it contained a spice (which was indefinable even for us). Well, you can't suit everyone's taste, but this was something very strange for a children's dish. Our other two children had the spaghetti with tomato sauce and the gyros, both also from the children's menu. The verdict for both was “tasty”. I had the chicken with metaxa sauce, my husband had the gyros with the same sauce. It was tasty so far, but the only 5 croquettes that were served on a separate plate and the rather unimaginative "presentation" disappointed us a bit. What made me a bit angry, however, was the subsequent bill. Because every dish was more expensive than stated on the menu. Instead of €18.90 and €19.90 for our adult dishes, we charged just under €25 each and €12.50 instead of the stated €9.90 for each children's dish. I'm now assuming it was a mistake that all 5 of us got an old map. However, our dishes were still not worth the €25.

Wir waren im Hotel nebenan zu Gast, kamen nach Stau recht spät an und wollten noch etwas essen. Die Begrüßung in dem sehr einfach gehaltenen Lokal um 20.45 Uhr war so dass man das Gefühl hatte, lästig zu sein. Leider setzten sich die schlechten Eindrücke fort: Viel zu teure Vorspeisen, kleine Portionen, missmutiger Service, lieblos angerichtet, geschmacklich lasch... Alles in allem eine Katastrophe!

Cozy restaurant, tasty and inexpensive dishes

Ich habe noch nie ein so schlechtes Essen in einem griechischen Restaurant gegessen. Weder in Deutschland noch im Ausland. Das Bifteki war geschmacklich unterirdisch. Der Service hat auf unserer Bemerkung, das das Essen nicht gut war nur mit der Schulter gezuckt. Wir werden das Lokal meiden.

Noch nie habe ich in einem griechischen Lokal (weder in Deutschland noch in Griechenland) so eine unfreundliche Begrüßung und auch insgesamt miserable Auffassung von Service und Gastfreundschaft erlebt, wie hier! Völlig überteuerte Vorspeisen wegen folgender Kriterien: schlechte Qualität, wenig Geschmack und kleine Portionen. Als Krönung dann eben noch der "Service".

Das Lokal lebt offenbar von ein paar Stammgästen (es gibt keine Alternative) aber wohl hauptsächlich von Gästen aus dem großen Hotel nebenan. Das merkt man: Hier wird sich keinerlei Mühe gegeben! Unfreundliche Begrüßung, einfachst-rustikale Einrichtung, typische Essensauswahl; Der Beginn hieß "Knoblauchbrot" und stellte sich als eine Art Bruschette heraus: 4 Stück Weißbrot mit Tomaten-Knoblauch-Belag für stolze 7,50 Euro heraus. Dazu gab es eine "Vorspeisenplatte". Diese war ein Teller, auf dem waren: ein kleiner Klecks Taramas, ein kleiner Klecks Frischkäse, etwas Zaziki, ein kleines Stück Weißbrot mit Feta und Tintenfisch-Salat; Was kostet so etwas in Berlin? Zwischen 6 und 10 Euro. Hier will man unverschämte 13,90 Euro dafür. Mehr wollten wir dann nicht mehr essen. Beim Bezahlen äußerten wir sachlich, dass wir die Preise als zu teuer empfinden. Reaktion: Beschimpfung... So etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt!

Food is great, opening times are wrong. At 8:50 p.m. you can't get anything because you finally get there at 9 p.m. According to Google and their own homepage, open until 10:30 p.m.

You will receive a very warm welcome. The food selection is large. The food tastes good, a little Greek trip. We eat here regularly. Here you will be pampered as a guest.

The food was average. The mixed grill plate was a bit dry and too small for the price. No tzatziki and a loveless lettuce leaf on the side. The starter salad was also much too small without olive or pepperoni as you would expect from Greeks. All in all, pretty average and worth considering for another visit.

We were traveling for business and ate there. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious, the portions were large enough. If every single plate and napkin hadn't been immediately cleared from the table before everyone was finished eating, it could have been perfect.

Not much authentic food like you are used to in Greece. But expensive.

Handy place, good value for money and able to accommodate people with just 40 minutes to spare whilst the car is being charged. Took just a main course, apparently typical Greek dish which was fine. Seems popular with the locals which often is a positive sign. Will try something else next time I’ll be driving through. Can recommend it for hungry EV drivers.

Trotzdem das es voll war bekamen wir zu viert einen Platz. Service, Chef, Küche war top.... Wenn wir länger geblieben wären in Weimar, wären wir jeden Tag zum essen hin. Eine super gute Adresse wo uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Weiter so und vielleicht kommen wir mal wieder, wenn man in der Nähe ist

Wir waren hier am Mittag zu einen Kurzurlaub angekommen. Da wir Hunger hatten gingen wir ins El Greco um eine Kleinigkeit zu essen. Der Service war gut und für die Mittagszeit gut besucht. Das Essen war lecker und das Personal sehr freundlich.

Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und zuvorgekommen. Trotz das es voll war, hatten wir humane Wartezeiten. Das Essen hat geschmeckt, könnte aber etwas wärmer sein. Das Ambiente ist aus meiner Sicht etwas in die Jahre gekommen.

Waren auf der Durchreise und praktischerweise ist das Restaurant direkt neben einem Tesla Super Charger. Das Essen war hervorragend, der super sehr freundlich und flink. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung 😇

Ein hervorragendes Restaurant mit exzellentem Service und Essen. Alle Servicekräfte sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Trotz vollem Haus haben die Gastgeber ein offenes Ohr und nehmen sich kurz Zeit für ein Gespräch.

Kleines einfaches Lokal. Bedienung gut, auf die Vorspeise habe ich 40 Minuten gewartet, hatte aber keinen Stress, Hauptgang war lecker, etwas trocken, der Grillteller a la Chef. Kann man mal nach Feierabend essen gehen.

El Greco ist ein echtes Juwel. Das Essen war köstlich, mit einer breiten Auswahl an Gerichten, die sowohl die traditionelle als auch die moderne griechische Küche repräsentieren. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam, und die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war einladend. Ich hatte das Vergnügen, einige der besten griechischen Gerichte zu probieren, darunter Moussaka und Souvlaki, und sie waren alle hervorragend zubereitet. El Greco ist definitiv einen Besuch wert, wenn Sie die Aromen Griechenlands in einem charmanten Ambiente genießen möchten.

Super nett und mega leckeres Essen

Leckeres Essen. Ambiente könnte wieder einmal aufgehübscht werden.

Letzter Abend in Weimar. Wir wollten den Kurzurlaub beim Griechen um die Ecke unseres Hotels ausklingen lassen. Freundschaften hatten uns das Restaurant empfohlen. Der Besuch startete etwas holprig. Wir würden von einem, sehr streng auf uns blickenden, dann auf seine Uhr begrüßt. Ein Lächeln schien ihm körperliche Schmerzen zu zufügen und so belies er es bei einer gefühlt strickten Platzzuweisung. Wir bestellten zwei Gläser Mavrodaphne, ein süßer Rotwein, Knoblauchbrot (4st.), einmal Mezedaki (kalte Vorspeisenplatte und dazu ein Bifteki. Das Knoblauchbrot (2) war, ähnlich wie Bruschetta, mit Tomaten, Öl, Zwiebeln und reichlich Knoblauch belegt. Die Mezedaki Platte (3- wegen der Größe) war eher ein kleiner Teller und für 11,90€ ein bisschen klein geraten. Geschmacklich gab es nichts auszusetzen. Dafür war das Bifteki (2) eine große Portion und gefüllt mit Käse und Reis. Der Wein (3) war okay. Bedient wurden wir von einem anderen Mitarbeiter, der sein Lächeln nicht verloren hatte und auch sehr aufmerksam war. So wurde es doch noch ein gelungener Abschluss, eines schönen, kleinen Urlaubs. Lage: ruhig, außerhalb von Weimar Sauberkeit: 2 Service: 3+ Optik: unauffällig Essen: 3+ Anrichtung der Speisen: 3 Preis-Leistung: ausreichend; €€-€€€ Würde ich hier nochmal essen?: Ja

Das Essen ist wie immer absolut super es schmeckt. Es ist reichlich Preisleistung ist okay. personal ist immer freundlich. Wir haben bis jetzt immer einen Platz bekommen, auch in schwierigen Situationen. Wir sind dort oft Gäste und gehen immer wieder gern hin..
