Nice to sit outside, right on the Rhine, shady under plane trees.

The outdoor area is great for relaxing; we were there for lunch when the weather was nice. Friendly staff. The interior has an old-fashioned feel. The restrooms are clean.

The food is always good; they put a lot of effort into the ingredients, and there's always something new on the menu. The wine selection is good, and there's always something new. The wine prices are too high. The location is unbeatable.

We were here a few years ago and we really enjoyed it. Given the location, it is understandable that the prices are high. However, in this price range you expect a little more than in a good canteen or hiking hut. Some of the food was only lukewarm and the meat was tough and the salmon was dry. To make up for it, we had an espresso double, which was reflected on our bill due to an error. Unfortunately, a different price was called for another drink than what was on the menu. The difference was refunded, but the service manager did not behave particularly professionally. It's a shame, but we definitely won't be coming back.

Yes, great location on the Rhine.

I can really recommend him. It was a bit cold and windy that day. But there were protected areas where you could sit down. The interior was also possible. A quick service. So great.

The location lives from its location. This also accounts for the incredibly high prices. Our last meal was an absolute failure. The service could be more attentive and the interior furnishings (especially the toilets) are ancient. Drinking a beer outside on the terrace in summer is fine, but if you seriously want to eat something there - unfortunately I can only advise against that.

No...it was crowded. The food was overly expensive and then I had a children's portion. Never in my life have I paid for 26 euros...a few pasta...I had to look for the spinach and a thin sea bream, I paid so dearly and got very little. So you can drink a beer here...but otherwise no!@ extortionate prices for nothing!

Went out to dinner with four people on Sunday lunchtime. Many tables with a view of the Rhine. Food came quickly, everything was nice and fresh and hot. Service was very nice. Ambience older but very tidy. Good German cuisine. Gladly again.

The Rhine Terraces have an informative website where you can view the entire selection of food and drinks. So everything is transparent. €8.15 a large bottle of water 6.30€ a wheat beer I would recommend a (very good) Riesling spritzer: €5.10 (small), €8.20 (large) We found the schnitzel we ordered ok, but not exceptional. I don't want to criticize the food, I would have to try a few dishes first to be able to compare the prices with the service. Maybe we'll come back again when we're in Mannheim for a cake and the wine spritzer mentioned above, as we really liked the ambience. However, it's definitely cheaper if you're self-catering right on the river. Star deduction due to drink prices. I honestly can't judge the prices of the dishes.

Food and location are very good. But administrators could be more client friendly. I came by to make a reservation for the evening and administrator just refused to do so, telling me to make it online.

We were invited to a birthday party. Actually a really nice location on the river and at first glance an atmosphere worth seeing. But if you take a closer look, it becomes clear that the restaurant has seen better days. In the next room where we were you can no longer see much of the color of the floorboards. The uncomfortable chairs have already worn off and could use a coat of paint. As decoration, the room is decorated with stacks of books on the window sills. Even if I don't think about browsing through old antiques while I'm eating, perhaps the tattered dust jackets should be removed. Regarding the food itself - high expectations are raised but not kept. The dishes on the reduced menu sound good at first. One of the starters was no longer available early in the evening. The gratinated cheese as an alternative was tasty, but not rocket science either. The little white bread that was served was dry, so it was either old or had been sliced ​​for ages. The main course “fish and chips” was a frozen baked fish with fries and tartar sauce. Both dry, as was my wife's dish. At best this was a lousy caricature of the English court. I can explain the dryness of the dishes as an attempt to bring food to the large group at the same time as possible, but I can't use that as an excuse. I don't think that's what the operators want either. So I have no incentive to go there again.

Great place for small celebrations

Expensive, food does not correspond to what is on the menu. The fish & chips, supposedly with cod in batter, turns out to be dry, pre-breaded convenience pollock in a trapezoid shape. The pea puree is stale and tasteless, you have to get it right. The inn fries are standard, but certainly not chips. The tartar sauce is unremarkable. The addition of lemon may be due to German taste, but the promised Sarsons malt vinegar was also requested. It is not clear how often and with what the bottle was refilled, but it does have several rounds under its belt. Calling the whole thing fish & chips and charging €26 for it convinces me not to visit this place again, as beautiful as the view is. You can also enjoy them on the benches in the meadows next to it. Service friendly but overwhelmed.

I’ve already been here with my family three times, and every time we have had an amazing experience, with very good food and nice service. The Gasthaus Flammkuchen is a real deliciousness! The location is also amazing, directly on the Rhein, and the inside tables are located in a very cozy and warm space. Overall, the price is in line with the experience. Totally recommended!

The interior could use some sprucing up. Everything is getting very old. Service courteous and friendly.

Personal, sehr freundlich. Ambiente, super. Weine, vorzüglich. Warme Gerichte, naja. Verkocht und nicht übermäßig gut gewürzt.

Not wheelchair accessible, but the staff helps over the step. The food - roast with red cabbage - wasn't really warm and didn't taste particularly good.

Food is solid! The price is unjustified! For the prices you should actually get very good food but you get normal food! A Pepsi Cola for €6 for 250ml. Overpriced! Schnitzel for €22 with fries. No thanks, far too little and no special taste experience! Revise your prices again. You are not a star restaurant!!!!!

Wow!! We had a fantastic Christmas dinner at this lovely spot. Among the fantastic and attentive service, the meal was lovely and we had a stunning evening view of the Rhein River. A memorable Christmas dinner for all!

We ate here several times for business purposes. In general, the location is beautifully located and there is plenty of space for larger events. However, I personally wouldn't eat here because the dishes are ok, but given the prices they actually have to offer more. The spaetzle is not homemade, and the schnitzel and roulade also had little to offer. The creme brulee, on the other hand, was good.

Visited in winter, ate inside. Very nice, great pleasant atmosphere with a cozy decoration. View of the Rhine, good service and delicious food. Perfect if you have to wait an hour for the next train (10-15 mn walk to Mannheim main station)

Wir waren letzten Freitag mit mehreren Personen zum Essen dort. Eines Griechen wirklich unwürdig: Tsatsiki schmeckte wie aus dem Metro-Eimer, im Taramas waren noch ganze Kartoffelstücken drin und wenn dort ein tropfen griechisches Olivenöl drin war, dann heiße ich Otto. Die Hautpspeisen: Gyros-Salat - oh je, der Salat war nicht angemacht, nur einige Streifen von der Balsamico-Creme waren zusehen (das ist doch italienisch..), Tomaten? Nö, es gab nur 2 kl. Kirschtomaten. Und das Gyros? Nun, das war jedenfalls nicht vom Spieß sondern aus der Tüte - sog. Pfannengyros; kein Olivenöl und keinen "richtigen" Essig -Pfeffer und Salz haben es dann auch nicht mehr rausgerissen. Ingesamt: geschmacklos. 2 weitere Personen hatten Rinder leber mit Country Potatos (gleich dicke Scheiben Bratkartoffeln). Leider schmecket die Rinderleber bei beiden säuerlich - sie haben sie nicht gegessen. In Ordnung war das Lachssteak und das Rinderfilet. Für uns ist dieser Laden ein NoGo geworden - auch wenn die Aussicht schön ist. Wir gehen wieder zum Griechen in Bergerhausen, wo der Chef selber in der Küche steht und man ihm bei der Arbeit zusehen kann.

The FlammenKuche (hope i spelled it correctly) was very good. Really thin and flavourful. The chicken and mustard was good too. The creme brullee was ok.

The kitchen has noticeably deteriorated compared to before, but otherwise there is still a great, cozy atmosphere to feel good in.

I went. I ate. I drank. I enjoyed. A delightful first experience where I was welcomed as if I were a regular guest at the place. May it always remain so!

The outdoor area is unkempt, the service is very friendly but the menu is shocking, the prices for Palatinate wine, which I get in the Palatinate for very little money, is completely overpriced here, actually everything here is too expensive. I can even eat and drink cheaper at the Dorint Hotel. Next level shit for me. I won't be coming here again.

.... und das ist auch leider schon fast das Highlight. Umproblematische Reservierung ueber Buchungssystem, Kühler Empfang des Maetre, super freundliche und hilfsbereite Bedienung. Erstaunlich was fuer Preise man fuer Getränke und Convenience Produkte aufrufen kann, hier kann man schon fast von Wucher sprechen, ohne dabei ein schlechtes Gewissen zu bekommen. Burger mit Pommes ueber 21 Euro, Flammkuchen ueber 15 Euro und ein Bier ueber 6 und eine Flasche Wasser fast 9 Euro, da klingelt die Kasse. Wiederholungsfaktor wegen Ambiente und Ausblick 60 %, wegen Speisen und Getränken maximal 5%.Macht weiter so und es werden bald gar keine Gäste mehr kommen, da braucht man nicht Nostradamus sein.

I've been there several times with our son (both outside in the summer with a view of the Rhine) and in the winter by the fireplace. So far the service has been very courteous and we felt comfortable. One can certainly argue about the somewhat limited selection of dishes and the prices. But I prefer to choose from a small menu and then get good quality food. Anyone who expects star cuisine will be disappointed. If you like good, “rustic” dishes such as tarte flambée, schnitzel, etc., the restaurant is highly recommended. We'd love to go there again.

The service is on point. The location and atmosphere are beautiful. The sea bass was very tasty. Unfortunately the schnitzel was a failure.

We sat by the window in the large hall and had a wonderful view outside of the Rhine. The service was great. Very friendly and attentive. I ordered a small mixed salad as a starter and a burger for the main course. The salad was freshly prepared and the dressing was delicious. The burger was sensationally delicious and so were the fries.

A visit with 8 people at lunchtime without a reservation was also carried out in a professional and friendly manner. Particularly friendly service No.15!

It's not a problem if the food and especially the drinks are simply expensive. But if the food is really bad, then it stops being fair. Burger Menu cold and old fries, like leftovers warmed up three times and the salad was already sour, already bad and no longer edible. You don't know that from the worst street snack bar.
