Rheinterrassen Gasthaus am Fluss in Mannheim

Seit längerer Zeit waren wir nicht mehr in den „Rheinterrassen“ und haben uns auf den Abend im Gastgarten gefreut. Tatsächlich hatten wir gutes Wetter und einen guten Platz unter den Platanen zugewiesen bekommen. Getränke waren flugs auf dem Tisch umd das Essen ließ auch nicht lange auf sich warten. Jedoch waren alle ein bißchen enttäuscht. Der gemuschte Salat mit Ziegenkäse lieblos und mit wenig Dressing, das Brot zum Wurstsalat pappig, und der Salat beim Rheinterrassen-Burger matschig, das Briochebrötchen trocken und alt im Geschmack, der coleslaw fad, dazu mit fast 22€ überteuert. Die drei Punkte gibt es für das freundliche und flinke Personal, schöne Location, saubere sanitäre Anlage.

Wir waren in der großen Gruppe im Rahmen eines dienstlichen Abendessens dort. Die Location ist schön, der Service gut, aber die Preise für die Essensmenge völlig überzogen.

Es erwartet Sie ein Lokal in wunderbarer, ruhiger, entspannter Lage mit einem herrlichen Blick auf den Rhein. Geschultes, professionelles, aufgeschlossenes und sehr freundliches Personal unterstützt Sie unaufgeregt und geduldig bei der Auswahl des Gerichts und des passenden Weins. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Wir entschieden uns jeweils für den Flammkuchen: einmal die Elsässer Art und einmal die italienische Variante. Und was soll ich sagen: Beide schmeckten exakt so wie Sie heißen. Das ist das größte Kompliment und zeugt vom Sachverstand des Betreibers und des Kochteams. Der Nachspeise konnten wir auch nicht widerstehen: Es gab einen saisonalen Eisbecher und eine Créme brûlée. Wieder zwei Volltreffer. Alles zeugt von der frankophilen Art des Hauses.

I was a guest at your place and unfortunately I had a bad experience. There was an earwig in my drink, I suspect it was in the straw or in the Lillet berries and ended up in my mouth while I was drinking (very disgusting and unappetizing). I pointed this out to the waitress and she really apologized to me. When she told the waiter about it, he made it clear to her that this couldn't be the case and was impossible. The fact that I lost my appetite after I had an insect in my mouth and bit on it was not taken into account, I should pay my bill. The bartender said to his colleague, did you hear that, how disgusting. But should I pay for that?! I wouldn't go to the restaurant again. Although I was offered a drink on the house, I naturally lost my appetite for food and drink. I would have liked a lot more here.

Great view and atmosphere but the prices are exorbitant. I note that we only had a drink. Apparently there are also vegan dishes here.

Was there for lunch on business. Hamburger with fries € 21.60, glass of white wine (0.2L) € 11.50 and a manageable portion of gnocchi € 17.30...BUT: Mini portion of Parmesan charged extra € 1.90... I would say: that is only for fans. I definitely don't belong to that group. I wish you much success. Uwe

The location is of course great. In the late afternoon it gets difficult with the sun in the beer garden. I think the prices are excessive. 8€ for 0.5l beer is quite an announcement.

Unfortunately extremely expensive! An apple spritzer 0.4 cost almost 6 euros...But the young lady with the dark curls was simply wonderful! Rarely have I experienced such lovely service, huge compliments to her. Otherwise I cannot recommend the restaurant due to exorbitant prices. We're not coming anymore.

A nice place with good food and service. Overall, however, the drinks prices are clearly excessive, even in relation to the overall prices. If the half liter of draft beer costs 8 euros or the cheaper variety from 0.4 to 0.5 liters costs the equivalent of 7.44 euros, we are in the best case scenario with Munich Oktoberfest prices, but prices for half a liter are usually just under 5 euros. ..

My wife celebrated her 60th birthday here and the party was fantastic! We were able to coordinate all the details about tables, food and drinks in advance and the wines were tasted with us. The food was excellent and the service fantastic! I can only say high praise to the organization team, kitchen and the attentive and helpful service ladies. Thanks!

Eigentlich würde ich gerne ein "Gut" vergeben, also 3,5+... Wir hatten an einem Sonntag spät fürs Abendessen nachgefragt und bekamen noch eine Zusage. Witterungsbedingt schied der schöne Biergarten aus. Aber obwohl zunächst ein eher ungünstiger Tisch für uns vier reserviert war, durften wir dann doch am letzten freien Fenstertisch Platz nehmen, und unsere Gäste hatten den schönen Blick auf den Rhein... Der Service war freundlich. Sowohl Getränke als auch Speisen kamen recht schnell auf den Tisch. Wir hatten ein Spargelgericht, das Hähnchen Suprême und zweimal das panierte Schnitzel mit Kartoffel-/Gurkensalat - alles reichlich, vom Geschmack her guter Durchschnitt (kulinarische Höhenflüge hatten wir nicht erwartet) und preislich absolut ok. Der junge Kellner verabschiedete uns mit einem "Bis zum nächsten Mal!" Es hatte also an diesem Abend für beide Seiten "gepasst".

Very nice atmosphere with a view of the Rhine. Very friendly service. What is particularly pleasing is that the poultry is sourced from the Ziegler butcher shop in Bammental. If there is one criticism, it is that the salad tasted like Maggie. If this is really the case, I personally think that it is not appropriate to use this flavor enhancer in a restaurant in this price range and would recommend switching to a health-acceptable variant (black garlic, lovage). Otherwise the food was very tasty.

Be sure to make a reservation so that you can be right next to the Rhein! The food was delicious and plenty, the staff friendly. We had a lovely view of the river and the boats passing by. My one wish to improve this place is to have a separate smoking section so that people don’t have to inhale the fumes of others.

This location is highly recommended, everything fits here!

The location directly on the Rhine promenade speaks for itself. In summer you can sit outside on the terrace with a view of the Rhine. There was nothing to complain about in terms of service. I ordered fish and chips. The fish was quite good and the fries too, but definitely too expensive for my taste at 25 euros. There could have been a little more fries.

Great restaurant, great atmosphere, great views of the Rhine. Very friendly service. It's great indoors and outdoors no matter what time of year it is. The food was really very good, salads, schnitzels, burgers... except for fish & chips (not possible, cheap fish for 26 euros, looks like it was bought in Lidl...). Very good wine selection. So everything is actually great, but the price range is still a bit “over” at €8.00 and more for 0.2 of wine, €6.40 for juice spritzers. Top league, you should know it and then, because of the ambience, look past it and enjoy...

...a sunny day in March, beautiful on the Rhine, fantastic location, ambience of the restaurant is fine and a cool (not too cool, glass wasn't fogged up) beer, what else is there...the bill, here triple “GULP, GULP, GULP” 1 beer, ok. 0.5 liters for just 8.00 euros!!!! -Help!!!! I should have looked at the map, I would have gotten a box for the same money and sat directly on the Rhine (like many people with the 💡)... OK, we all want to live but that's too much for me and, sorry, dear waitress (who wasn't overly stressed, had to ask 3 times if I could (may 😀) pay) I'm definitely not here anymore...

Went to visit today during the walk for a cold drink. Very friendly waiter named Mateo, even deserves 6 stars.

Nice ambience. However, long waiting times when ordering or placing another order is hardly possible. In my opinion the prices are overpriced e.g. a large bottle of water costs €8. A burger for €21 that wasn't even served well on the plate.

We were there today with the family. Everything was great, I can't think of anything negative. I particularly like the composition of the menu, from sausage salad to Viennese veal schnitzel, there is something for everyone. Thank you for the lovely lunch.

After our actual restaurant booking had to be canceled, we even spontaneously received a table for 17 people. Due to some of the critical reviews, we arrived unsettled. But what we experienced here was nothing but first-class! Very nice restaurant, top service, fast, friendly, helpful, simply hospitable! And the food was very tasty!!! Super tender sauerbraten in the perfect sauce for me. But everyone else was also absolutely happy. Result: Top restaurant, we will come back often. Thanks.

We were invited to a 60th birthday party. The atmosphere was great, the buffet food was very good and the staff were excellent. We'll be back for dinner without a celebration. Thank you Elke Hirsch

The restaurant has a great location and is very tastefully decorated, which is why we come back again and again. There is a deduction today for the unfriendly treatment on the phone (it was not a rush hour) and the bad manners of only being able to reserve online... Individual questions and requests cannot be clarified in a customer-friendly manner and if I had not already published the location (meeting a... group), I would have spontaneously chosen another restaurant. Unfortunately, the gentleman on the phone was not at all responsive. The location of the table etc. was correspondingly disappointing - very unfavorable for our event. The extremely friendly service made up for it a bit: very accommodating, attentive and in a good mood the whole evening!!! As usual, the food was very good - the prices are impressive, but the quality is also high. The prices for drinks are clearly excessive: 8.00 euros for a grape juice spritzer (large) is beyond the limit... Conclusion: As an organizer of a group I would no longer come - privately for a special occasion I would love to!

We have visited the Rhine Terraces several times. Located directly on the Rhine and in summer you can sit nicely outside. The food is tasty but the portions could be a bit larger.

Very nice atmosphere and nice service, but prices are clearly too high. A tea with a filter bag costs almost €4. Therefore there was no food in it...

Wir haben zu Dritt dort das Gleiche gegessen und bekamen für €31,50/Person leider Fertiggerichte serviert: TK-Wienerschnitzel (an Form und Panade ersichtlich, Fleisch total zäh) und dazu Kartoffeln-Gurkensalat eindeutig aus dem Plastikeimer. Wir waren total enttäuscht, einfach unverschämt.

Trotz der Größe schönes gemütliches Ambiente, schneller und aufmerksamer Service, Essen kam sehr schnell und war gut, relativ hochpreisig.

Kannte ich bisher nur vom Sommer auf der Terrasse. Freundliche Mitarbeiter. Scheint regelmäßig und gut frequentiert zu sein. Dem Eindruck nach mit einer relativ hohen Zahl an Stammpublikum. Gegessen habe ich dort allerdings noch nie.

Wir hatten unsere betriebliche Weihnachtsfeier in den Rheinterrassen. Das Restaurant ist ziemlich groß, sodass wir einen eigenen Raum zur Verfügung hatten. Die Location ist sehr schön und modern eingerichtet. Die Atmosphäre ist toll. Das Essen (Rinderbraten mit Knödel und Rotkohl) hat gut geschmeckt. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Ich kann die Location weiterempfehlen.

The food was acceptable although the dessert, the apple pie, was impossible to eat because of the relic it represented. Exaggerated prices for the quality and they even charged us €2 for 4g. of grated cheese for the pasta... Never again

Ein ganz toller Blick auf den Rhein. Preise sind eher gehobener.

Wir waren über die Jahre schon einige Male in den Rheinterrassen. Von außen macht das Restaurant den Eindruck eines Ausflugslokals mit Biergarten. Früher gab es aber neben Speisen, die man diesem äußeren Eindruck nach erwartet, auch Küche mit Anspruch. Das fehlte uns beim letzten Besuch. Als Ausflugslokal, also etwa zum Abschluss eines Spaziergangs am Rhein, ist das Restaurant weiterhin gut geeignet (wenn auch dafür etwas hochpreisig). Aber der frühere Pfiff fehlte uns.

Eine sehr sehr angenehme Überraschung: Lage direkt am Rhein, Ambiente drinnen wie draußen sehr angenehm, sehr gutes Essen und eine sehr aufmerksame und liebenswürdige Bedienung - ideal für ein paar lauschige Stunden mit Freunden.

Speisen und Getränke OK, der Service an diesem Nachmittag etwas konfus.

Leider wurden wir auf der Terrasse nicht bedient, obwohl die Tische nummeriert und die Nachbartische besetzt waren. Nach Ansage des Kellners sollten wir uns, wenn wir sitzen bleiben wollten, doch bitte selbst an der Theke die Getränke holen. Sorry, aber so nicht. Gerne im Pfälzer Wald bei freundlichem Hüttenpersonal!! Nicht in einem französisch-europäischen Restaurant mit entsprechenden Preisen.

Leider hat der Service mehrere Fehler bei der Bestellung gemacht. Essen war ok, aber wenig für den Preis.

Sehr schöner Ort im Biergarten zu entspannen.

Sehr freundliches Personal, tolle Terrasse und ein schöner Innenbereichen für die kalte Jahreszeit. Außerdem gibt es eine seasonale Tageskarte ergänzend zum Stamm Menü.

Klassisch und nach wie vor zum Wohl fühlen. Essen wirklich von guter Qualität. Geben sich in Bezug auf regionale Zutaten sehr große Mühe! Und die Terrasse einfach einladend.

Wunderschön gelegen direkt am Rhein. Schöne Terrasse, welche meist stark frequentiert wird. Innen gibt es neben dem Restaurant auch 2 Räume zum Feiern. Das Personal war uns gegenüber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für unseren Rollstuhlgast wurde gleich die Rampe aufgebaut. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Getränke Auswahl war auch gut.

Kann nur Jedem, der weiß was gut für ihn ist, das Schoko-Duett empfehlen! Ein Traum! Dafür lohnen sich die 200 km Joggen zum abtrainieren, believe me!
