Rheinblick in Emmerich am Rhein

Very tasty meal. German good. Not an extremely large meal, but more than sufficient. The salad bar was very nice. It could be a little less rushed, but the service is extremely friendly. The environment is sleek and very clean. The restaurant was quite busy with I think a lot of local guests. This says a lot. Highly recommended for on the road.

Three of us ate there on March 24th, 2025. Nice staff. Great view of the Rhine. Dining inside and outside possible. Unfortunately, the food was bland and not tasty... and that as a dish of the day!!! The best thing was the side dishes. Salad buffet bland and simple. We were disappointed and expressed it on site. No longer an option for us.

Just an explanation of my star choice. The food was tasty, but the goulash soup was very salty, just like the hunter's sauce! Could be a little less. The service was good. The atmosphere is different than in the Netherlands. I personally prefer mood lighting instead of those bright lamps above the table.

Been here regularly in the past, you could enjoy good food for a good price. So it was very disappointing to find that the price had gone up enormously and the food was no longer tasty. But then really no longer tasty and overpriced!! I think it has a different owner or things have changed so much that I would never go back. Very unfortunate 😕

Super cozy restaurant with classic menu and dishes. The waiters were super nice and accommodating and the food tasted good. Unfortunately, the portions were a bit manageable.

The entrance is via the Rhine promenade. Because of the rainy weather we sat inside. The radiant heaters provided pleasant warmth. The friendly service quickly brought the desired drinks. The food, two grilled plates for us, was hot and very tasty. You put together the accompanying salad yourself at the salad bar. We were completely full. Gladly again.

15 euros for 2 sandwiches with egg and a little ham. 2.50 extra to share it. Absurd prices. Service was fine.

You shouldn't expect much from this place, but I definitely like it. They have delicious fries and the best ice cream I've ever eaten. I'm certainly no expert, but the ice cream is absolutely delicious. Definitely recommend

Really awful salty skewer with pepper sauce, but a whole pot of salt went over it. Price quality is bad Staff could be a bit friendlier. A plus view is great

We went to Rheinblick for lunch. The food was very tasty with a good portion size. Great self-service salad bar! The prices are reasonable. You have a beautiful view of the Rhine if you take a seat in the winter garden.

We ate ice cream here with our grandchildren. That's why I can't give a review of the entire promenade in terms of food and service. The Emmerich Rhine promenade is always worth a stroll and - in addition to the Katjes factory outlet - there are many opportunities to stop off.

Nice lunch menu with dishes for €15.50. Nice service. You can sit there and look out over the Rhine.

Too bad. You can expect a lot more for the price level. The steak was more than done. The fried potatoes and the onion/mushroom vegetables were so oily that my extra sauce was unnecessary. We'll leave out the decorations on the plate. Racket music in Yugoslavia, strange. Casual clothing as a waitress doesn't fit into the concept either. Once and never again.

At the invitation of my parents we went to Rheinblick where we had eaten with them about two or three years ago. Then it was sunny and warm on the terrace and we enjoyed it very much. Food was fine, nice cheerful waiter, and excellent experience. Now we had made a reservation in the “winter garden” due to the announced rain shower. That clearly came too! The food was sufficient/good, not exceptional. Not in taste and not in presentation. But what was very annoying was the radio that was turned on loudly and regularly played quite loud music. No relaxing background music. My mother wanted to tip via debit card because she didn't have any cash with her. But that wasn't possible. Then the limited friendliness of the younger waiter as we walked away was zero, it seemed. There was no more goodbye. It must be said that the older waiter, the somewhat grumpy waiter, has a good idea of ​​everything. Shame. Really nice location on the Rhine, but not what we think it once was. The price-quality ratio is no longer okay.

Sat outside with a view of the water. This is how it can be endured. Waiters super friendly and funny. Food was also good, the salad from the salad bar was fresh and crunchy.

Delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere. We sat outside and could look at the water. The food we ordered came very quickly. The employee who served us was friendly and accommodating. The price-performance ratio is appropriate. All in all a good service and stay.

If we go for lunch just across the border, it will be here. On the terrace in summer and in the conservatory in winter. Always good and cheap. Operation is fine

I just had a drink there in the morning!!! The waiter wasn't fully awake yet and was grumpy. Inside it is nicely decorated and cozy, the toilets are very clean.

We sat inside while we had ordered an outside table for 9 people. Place was outside enough so it could have been good! The air conditioning was on and it was unpleasant. Asked for rice for the grandchildren instead of fries, but because it was a children's menu, that was absolutely not possible... only with a large snitzel were you allowed to switch from fries to rice?? We had to order extra rice for 3 euros per small bowl, the children were absolutely not allowed to eat from the salad bar and this salad bar was sparse, with a lot of sweet and sour. We were allowed to take one bowl per person... Friendliness from the staff was hard to find until the hefty bill, then we had a small smile... a pity and a disappointing evening.

The service is a disaster. The waiter was very unpleasant. No other reservations, the restaurant was almost empty inside, but the waiter heard the Polish language and only gave us a table outside (at 30°C). I asked twice for a table inside because there was air conditioning. Unfortunately there was no response, the waiter went to the terrace and showed us a table. Poles are not allowed to eat with Germans in this restaurant. Luckily the other restaurant was friendly to us. I don't recommend it!

Two main courses, a starter and a few drinks, just under 100 euros. Food was miserable. Lamb chops were dry and tough. Starter was ruined by way too much pepper. Once but never again. Tourist trap.

The location is picturesque and you have a good view of the Rhine. I had ordered the Cordon Bleu for €25 and had corresponding expectations. Unfortunately they weren't fulfilled, the taste was a bit bland and it was far too small for the price.

The Schnitzel was for sure not a good one. Very salty.... and way to expensive.. but not much option on a Saturday? I would look for an alternative the next time

Salat waren nur eine Tomate, eine Gurke und bisschen Blattsalat.nichts gewürzt. Und dafür 40€. Frechheit

Super cozy restaurant with a classic menu and dishes. The waiters were super nice and accommodating and the food tasted good, seasoned correctly and the Djuvec rice was perfect! Unfortunately, the portion was a bit manageable.

I had an amazing Schnitzel here. It was done really well, from good quality meat. It came with pommes and I could choose my salad from the salad buffet. It was a lunch-deal and I payed only 15 Euros for it. The service was quick and kind. I will definitely eat here again next time 😋

Waren eigenlijk op zoek naar een ander restaurant om te lunchen voor het shoppen, het was maandag, dus veel dicht. Hier voor €42 heerlijke schnitzel met patat en salade gegeten, met een mooi uitzicht over de rijn. Snelle en vriendelijke bediening.

Wir hatten Lachs mit Kartoffeln und Salat vom Buffet. Der Lachs hat etwas eigenartig gerochen. Das Salat Buffet hatte nur minimale Auswahl und Fertigprodukte. Desweiteren war ein Schnitzel Cordon bleu mit Kroketten bestellt. Die Größe des Schnitzel Cordon bleu war bei dem Preis von 25,90 doch sehr klein geraten. Für zwei Hauptgerichte, zwei Getränken und zwei Espresso 65,90 ist schon ein stolzer Preis. Und dann waren hier und da noch ein paar Ungereimtheiten. Na ja ich werde das Lokal nicht mehr auf suchen, da hat Emmerich ja zum Glück noch weitere zur Auswahl.

The food was extremely dirty black bitterballen. The prices are huge for what you get.

Het eten was lekker, de bediening onbeschoft. Mijn vrouw mocht een salade voor haar zelf klaarmaken, maar kreeg die niet op. Dus gaf ze die aan mij, de bediening greep het mij uit handen terwijl nog aan het eten was. Dit deed een jongeman met kort haar.

Had a very good lunch. Very friendly staff. The salad, from the salad bar, was crisp and fresh. We will be back.

In short, very disappointed! Meat on the grill has no real taste and is dry. Jäger and Wienerschnitzel were swimming in the fat. Price performance school grade 6. The only positive thing was the service. We're definitely not coming back.

We had coffee and apple pie here. The coffee was okay, but a small cup. The apple pie was not really tasty and I had stomach and intestinal complaints that evening, probably the pieces of pie had been left out for too long. Payment 2xcoffee and 2x apple pie €17. So I won't sit here anymore!

It was quite a place to have a drink on the Rhein. However, the staff was not really friendly to its guests, which I thought was a shame because I love Germany and its hospitality. Was there with friends of mine who had never been to Germany before, but this first experience was not great. So I told them that it can normally be a lot of fun in Germany

Very good schnitzels, salad, bratkartoffel and everything freshly made. You can taste that!

The salty, undercooked toughness of the meats perfectly matched the attitude and conduct of the waiter. Grilled meat was 1/2 undercooked (pork chop and sausage) and too tough too like or eat (the neck meat beef) Waiter told us if we wanted tender we should order steak. Sad but true.

The ground beef was salty sooooo salty. The grilled meat was 1/2 undercooked and thus not eaten and 1/2 so tough and inedible it was left on the plate. The waiters’ comment: “ It is from the neck - tough. You want tender? Order a steak!” I kid you not. Cured us from ever wanting to enter a touristy waterfront grill again

We were here for the first time. A cozy restaurant on the Rijkade. We had a delicious meal and the service was very friendly. You can easily park at the rear of the building.

Heerlijk geluncht voordat ik ging shoppen. Prettige bediening. Ruime keuze. Eten/drinken werd snel geserveerd. Leuk uitzicht op de Rijn. Aanrader.

Fantastic again! We have been visiting the Montenegro market regularly for years, and since it closed we have now regularly eaten at Rheinblick, top kitchen, top service, top quality, and well... not expensive (we remain Dutch🤣)

Were there with more than 10 people. Very long waiting time. First drink after 35 minutes. Food order could only be placed after 55 minutes. We all ordered together. Food came after another 25 minutes (that was positive) but unfortunately two people still had to wait for their food because it was simply forgotten. I used the salmon with fried potatoes instead of boiled potatoes. Received salmon fillet with skin and it was burnt. Salmon was very dry and the fried potatoes were full of fat/oil. You could also take a salad from the salad bar. Very careless and unfortunately it wasn't refilled. Price performance is not right there at all! Therefore the restaurant cannot be recommended.

No-frills Balkan cuisine with a salad buffet to take yourself. The recipe can be that simple. Tasty and large portions, not cheap but good value. My recommendation for Emmerich.

Personal unfreundlich, Waffeln mit heißen Kirschen für 11.50 Euro unterirdisch schlecht ,beim bezahlen musste man schon drohen ohne zu gehen bis das sich endlich mal ein Kellner bemüht hat die Rechnung zu bringen, nie mehr wieder......

Naja, muß ich kein 2tes mal haben. Gläser leer, man wurde nicht gefragt, ob es noch was sein darf. Das Fleischgericht von meinem Mann, ohne irgendwas wie Kräuterbutter, also trocken. Meins ging, der Djuvec Reis mit Pfefferkörnern, neee, den kann ich 100x besser zubereiten. Wen ich empfehlen kann Cafe/Restaurant in Rees-Millingen, top!

We zagen een bord met daarop staan; Belgische wafel met ijs, aarbeien en slagroom. We besloten hier te gaan zitten en hebben 2x de wafel besteld en 1x ijsthee en 1x cola. De wafel was droog en de slagroom ongezoet. Toen we de rekening kregen schrokken we van de prijs, € 31,30!! Voor ons nooit meer!

Zeer slechte bediening niet de moeite waard. Onbeschoft personeel

Eigentlich wollten wir dort essen gehen aber aufgrund der unglaublichen Arroganz des Kellners (hoffe es war ein Einzelfall) haben wir uns entschlossen eine andere Lokalität zu bevorzugen. Nachmittags waren wir noch auf ein Bier da, ich war froh überhaupt etwas zu bekommen. Beim Bezahlen war ich so weit, meine Adresse zu hinterlassen. Wir waren einfach Luft für ihn. Als ich aufstand um einen Schreiber und einen Zettel zu holen, bequemte er sich doch abzurechnen. Dank meiner Frau habe ich es nicht eskalieren lassen.

Het personeel was chagrijnig en luisterde niet naar je antwoorden. Als ze vroegen alles naar wens en je zei 'nee' dan zeiden ze 'ja dankjewel eetsmakelijk nog'. Eten duurde erg lang, eerst was het vlees niet gaar en vervolgens kregen we het bord opnieuw, lag de helft van het aantal friet er maar op. Vlees was van zeer slechte kwaliteit. Andere gerecht was vis, leek allemaal gewoon uit blik met veel teveel saus erop. De hoeveelheid was niet veel, zeker niet in vergelijking met Duitse begrippen. Daarnaast was het bier lauw. Zeker niet voor herhaling vatbaar

Soep (goulash- en tomatensoep) was erg zout en bovendien was bij 1 persoon de verkeerde soep geserveerd. 1 persoon moest zo lang op het voorgerecht wachten dat de andere 3 tafelgenoten al het hoofdgerecht geserveerd kregen. De patat was zo extreem zout dat het niet meer te eten was, de lippen gingen er gewoon van tintelen, een regelrechte aanslag op de nieren. Toen wij daar wat van zeiden werd er niets mee gedaan. Het vlees was prima, maar de bijbehorende pepersaus was ook weer erg zout. De ijskoffie was lekker, maar er werd maar 1 ijskoffie geserveerd in plaats van de 3 die we hadden besteld. De bediening was ook alles behalve vlot, waardoor we de ijskoffie niet meer hebben bijbesteld. Al met al een behoorlijke tegenvaller voor bijna € 180,00. Ons zien ze hier niet meer terug.
