Perfect food, friendly service, and a fantastic view! The only downside was that there's no air conditioning, but they opened the windows to let in a little breeze, and it was only noticeable because it was over 30 degrees Celsius today. We're very satisfied!

Unfortunately, our experience wasn't very positive. The food was okay. But having to wait over an hour for our food was abysmal. There were three small children in our group, and they were whining accordingly. The waitress seemed to be understanding and probably asked the kitchen several times. Several tables around us had ordered much later and received their food sooner. A real shame, very disappointing!

A great idea for eating out of the hustle and bustle. The service is very welcoming, and the food is varied and delicious. The location on the Rhine is beautiful, with a camping/sleeping barrel site next door. A wide bike path leads there, and it's also easy to get there and park by car. If you arrive on foot, you can't miss the restaurant.

The restaurant is located directly on the beautiful Rhine River, with a covered outdoor terrace. Parking is available. The pizza with scampi and broccoli was delicious, and the chef's salad was excellent. We'll be back!

We ordered pizza takeaway there twice. The wait times were okay. The food was also okay and tasty. The value for money was good.

The food was good, but when we parked at the restaurant the owner was hysterical and asked if we were guests. It ruined the impression of the visit. Next time we will choose another restaurant.

We have been visiting this restaurant regularly with family and friends for years and have always been satisfied – both with the food and the ambiance. Our last visit was all the more disappointing. Despite having a reservation, an employee yelled at me in an extremely rude manner while parking my car, telling me to leave immediately because I was supposedly not allowed to park there. Instead of first politely asking if I had a reservation, I was immediately treated loudly and disrespectfully – completely inappropriate and embarrassing in front of my family. This kind of behavior is unacceptable to us. Therefore, we have decided not to visit this restaurant in the future. It's a shame, as we actually liked it. And based on the reviews, it's clear that the service is sometimes poor, depending on the staff. Otherwise, it's still a beautiful location!

We went to the restaurant with friends and family for dinner. Very friendly, attentive service, and we felt very appreciated. The price-performance ratio was absolutely reasonable. We also know the restaurant from the previous owner's time, and the current condition is comparable. Very nice location.

Of course the location is exceptionally beautiful directly on the Rhine. But the food is absolutely underground and has nothing to do with Italian cuisine. The service makes a great effort, but reaches its limits when there are many guests present. Drinks are then quickly put on the table twice and complaints are not responded to. My wife and I had seafood spaghetti and would never order it there again, nor anything with cream sauce or anything like Al Forno. Sorry dear "da Nico" team, but something went wrong, as did all the pizzas. In my opinion, these are all ready-made products, but the Frutti di Mare really beats everything. Cooked dead in a complete tomato mush as if someone had used an immersion blender. Anyone who knows anything about Italian cuisine will have nightmares after this visit. Especially when you also get a hefty bill. You won't find us there anymore.

Everything OK. Highlights: The location directly on the banks of the Rhine with a great view. Food (pizza) and service absolutely fine. Fair...rather cheap prices compared to neighboring locations. Overall a recommendation.

The location of the restaurant is great. You sit right on the Rhine and feel like you're on vacation. Unfortunately, my soup was forgotten and the pizza was kept warm. Maybe it was just bad luck but I wasn't thrilled.

Formerly a very good pizzeria under the Italian boss ✝. Unfortunately, this was unacceptable under the new owners. We went there as a family for pizza. We were surprised that we were the only guests. The pizza was very bad and didn't taste good. The new Indian (?) owners have taken over the old menu and added Indian pizzas. The service was friendly but a bit awkward. The waitress stood a few meters away from our table the whole time and watched us eat, which made us very uncomfortable. However, the location of the restaurant is very good, located directly on the Rhine. We still won't be coming back.

Ordered here with two families. Salad with prawns/scampis without dressing, pizza crust hard as a rock, schnitzel boring, sauce like glue. We were already on site with the new tenant. We won't be coming back and won't be ordering there anymore.

Today we had dinner with 6 people. The young lady (service) was listless and arrogant from the start. About 1 hour after eating we were asked if she could clear away the glasses... an indirect request to leave!!! This is unprofessional and absolutely no hospitality! Would never have happened with the previous operator, a shame. Of course, the tip was canceled due to the behavior of the waitress. When you go out to eat, you want to enjoy a nice evening, have a conversation and not be looked out after 1.5 hours! The food was very tasty 😋, extensive menu, price-performance ratio completely okay.

Food: Very good quality and taste. The Italian salad had an unusually high proportion of ingredients that ultimately characterize an "Italian salad" (sausage, cheese, egg...). The pizza (calzone) as well. Delicious dough and a very good, balanced filling. Even though the place was full, the service wasn't stressed or anything like that. Not pushy, but friendly, hardworking and attentive. Really highly recommended!!!!

Ordered a table on the terrace for 6 people. When we arrived we were offered a table for 4 people. We then only received “shrugs” and helpless excuses. Solution-oriented behavior was completely missing. We had no choice but to leave the restaurant.

It's lovely to sit on the terrace with a view of the Rhine. The staff is attentive and very friendly. As a starter I had an antipasti plate, which was very disappointing. The ingredients were simple canned olives, supermarket ham, and salami without any real southern charm. There were also a few slices of zucchini, but they didn't make it. For the main course I had a classic calzone pizza, which, apart from the spiciness and the boring cheese, was juicy and good. Like the location requires a little more attention to detail, then it's good. You get full

We ate at your place three times out of the five days we spent at the adjacent campsite. It was 3x super delicious!!!!!! Everything was right!!! We will definitely come back!

Had a cup of coffee/cappuccino. No drinks, old biscuits and only cash payment. Had to pay €6.90 but the waitress only had €3 and not €0.10. Very weird. Soooo, we won't be coming back here.

Ordered for pickup. Food tasted good, but some things were missing from our order. When we called again by phone, no one was available (during regular opening hours). The missing food was of course taken into account. Furthermore, a salad contained several old, rotten lettuce leaves and the lettuce stalk, which made the salad inedible.

Stands out positively from the other restaurants. Everything fit.

We were there in a group of 5 people. One person has a severe food allergy, which was mentioned when ordering, properly noted and confirmed. When the food came, it contained exactly what was previously defined as highly allergic (emergency injection would have been necessary after consumption). The chef was shown the dish, at first he denied that the ingredients were used, but they were obviously visible, then he took the plate without a word, walked away and had the dish freshly prepared. Which was then communicated by the friendly waitress. Another of the 5 guests forgot to order the main course in the kitchen. At least three people could eat their dinner at the same time. Oh yes...when we came we ordered 4 Aperols and a large apple juice spritzer. Due to the clumsiness of the service, which can happen and which is not blamed, two people were badly "showered" by an Aperol falling from the tray and the large apple juice spritzer in their shirts and especially their trousers area. The waiter apologized - as I said, that can happen. But what struck me as disturbing was the fact that the boss was in no way interested in what was happening in his immediate vicinity. When we asked (the fact that we had to ask is worth mentioning) whether a cloth could be provided for wiping clothes dry, a fresh 80x80 cm tablecloth was handed to the person concerned as a "drying cloth" without further comment by the boss . Even that seems to have been too much, it seemed. The evening passed harmoniously among the five people. To be honest, at least at the end after paying, I would have expected that the two showered guests would be offered at least a schnapps at the house's expense - no cleaning costs are claimed, so this gesture would have been considered appropriate. The waitresses (2) were quite friendly from start to finish. When we left we were greeted in a friendly manner, unfortunately not by the boss, who stood at the counter without saying a word. I understand Italian hospitality, which I know from other Italian restaurateurs in the Rheingau, to be something different after my visit to da Nico in Geisenheim. A pity! The food was tasty and the price/performance ratio was also reasonable, so 5 stars. Regarding the service: For the waitresses it's more like 4 stars, for the boss a minus 1 makes 2 stars overall. Ambience: The Rhine Pavilion is getting a bit old, and a few cobwebs on the lamps, the corners and the ceiling are a bit disturbing. The view of the Rhine makes up for this somewhat. So 3 stars here.

The food tasted reasonably good. But the cleanliness absolutely leaves something to be desired. Glasses are dirty, the table hasn't been wiped and the ants are meeting on the table. I reacted very quickly with diarrhea. So be careful!! Not again !!!

So schlechten Service hatten wir noch nie..Kannten das Restaurant,,leider hat es einen neuen Besitzer..Mein Lieblings Gericht war immer das Paprikaschnitzel,was ich auch bestellte..Die Bedienung brachte unser Essen sagte zu mir,bitte einmal Zwoebelschnitzel,,ich sagte das ich ein Paprikaschnitzel bestellt habe..Das lustige war er sagte dann ach ja,dann ist es das Paprikaschnitzel....Mein erstaunen war gross..Den Paprika musste man suchen,dafür waren viele Zwiebeln drauf...Meine Bekannte fragte nach dem Nachtisch und was ein Tartuffo sei..Er sagte,daß weiß ich nicht,ich mach es noch nicht so lange..Oh weh,,was ist aus unsrem Italiener geworden?????. Mit den Gästen vom Campingplatz können Sie das machen aber uns als Stammkunden haben Sie verloren..Es kommt die Zeit wo der Campingplatz geschlossen ist,,was wird dann???Wenn sie jetzt schon die Einheimischen vergraulen..

We found this place by chance while cycling. And coming from Lorch it was a blessing that we left Rüdesheim behind. The staff served us well throughout. The ambience right on the Rhine is extraordinary. If we find ourselves in the area again, we will definitely come back.

Disgusting... the pizza is burnt on the edge, in the middle it's not due to too little tomato sauce and it's floating in oil. Never again!

Go there specifically for a pizza on the Rhine

You can do a lot more with the location. The path to the restaurant was unkempt (spiny branches sticking out in the way, garbage bags visible under the stairs). Inside, the decorations were arranged and set up haphazardly. There doesn't seem to be an overall concept. The food was mediocre. The menu is far too extensive to deliver quality and freshness.

I'm in the Rheingau two to three times a year. Visiting Nico is a must! Best pizza ever!! 😃😃😃

Food 08/15 and it was pretty cold. Waiter mixed up bills and wasn't at the table often even though there wasn't much going on.
