Es empfiehlt sich zu reservieren. Wir hatten einen sehr sehr netten Service unsere Extrawünsche wurden ohne Murren umgesetzt. Wir waren zu viert und hatten Tapas bestellt. Zuvor Gruß aus der Küche. Obwohl der Tisch am Rand der Aussenterrasse stand und auch Stufen überwunden werden mussten, ging alles flott. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend. Gern kommen wir wieder. Kommen immer sehr gerne hier her, sehr nettes Personal und tolle Lokation um in der Sonne einen Hugo oder Caffe zu trinken. Essen kann ich leider nicht bewerten, haben bisher noch nichts hier gegessen, da auch die vegane Auswahl Recht eingeschränkt ist. Leider auch keine veganen Kuchen. Hier kann man Ruh mal nachbessern.

Wir sind sehr gerne zu Gast hier, das Essen und die Getränke sind top, die Location an der Nidda sehr schön. Aber das Beste sind die immer gut gelaunten und mega freundlichen Mitarbeiter im Service, das ist wirklich beeindruckend. Auch wenn's hektisch wird, bleiben sie entspannt und den Gästen zugewandt. Hier hat man wirklich das Gefühl, willkommen zu sein.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von über 40 Personen hier, da wir mittags zur Hochzeitsfeier unserer Freunde eingeladen waren. Der Service war einfach hervorragend – das gesamte Team war super nett, aufmerksam und professionell. Wir hatten verschiedene Tapas als Vorspeise und ich habe die Süßkartoffel mit Rinderfilet bestellt – absolut empfehlenswert! Das Gericht war unglaublich lecker, mit viel Liebe zubereitet und die Portion war wirklich groß. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für den tollen Service und das fantastische Essen. Wir waren zum Frühstück da. Die Terrasse ist ganz nett, nicht weit vom Niddaufer entfernt. Das Hauptproblem ist extrem langsamer Service. Ein Cappuccino und Croissant oder Waffeln: der Kaffee kommt schnell... In 30 min kommt der Rest😰 Der Kaffee ist bereits entweder kalt oder ausgetrunken... Schackschukka war übersalzen. Der Preis war eher gehobene Klasse. Fazit : keine Empfehlung.

Das Essen war sehr lasch und der Kellner war genervt. Wieso weiß ich nicht.

Alles dort ist sehr professionell: das Handling der Anfrage, die persönliche Absprache vor Ort, das Essen, der tolle Garten und der absolut freundliche und super professionelle Service aller Mitarbeitenden. Wir sagen HERZLICH DANKE. Es war wieder einmal wunderbar. Alles Gäste waren begeistert vom nicht alltäglichen Essen und der freundlichen Menschen dort. Ein ganz großes Lob an das gesamte Team! Wir hatten relativ kurzfristig reserviert für 2 Personen mit Hund. Da alle Tische gebucht waren- mit mehreren Personen, blieb keine Auswahl mehr. Das Team hat aber alles möglich gemacht, dass wir so sitzen konnten, dass der Hund auch Platz hatte. Wir saßen kaum, wurde dem Hund schon Wasser gebracht. Wie aufmerksam! Das Essen war sehr lecker und der Service auffallend freundlich und aufmerksam! Sehr zu empfehlen!!!

Spitzenküche und gute, normale Preise.

Drinnen war eine geschlossene Gesellschaft angekündigt; daher gab es am letzten Samstag dort keinen Platz. Da es draußen eher kühl war, dachten wir eigentlich: dann müssen wir wohl etwas Anderes suchen. Das Servicepersonal hat aber tatsächlich mit Schirm über, Heizpilz neben und Wolldecke um uns herum alles getan, um es uns trotzdem behaglich zu machen. Garniert mit einer guten Portion Freundlichkeit. Großes Kompliment !!!

Ganz spontan waren wir frühstücken und hatten einen sehr schönen Morgen. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker und ich empfand die Portionen (Rührei mit Gemüse, Champignons und Käse und das „Frühstück Parisienne“) als angemessen groß. Der Kellner war sehr freundlich, lässig. Wir kommen wieder, um an der Nidda, in der Sonne sitzend, zu speisen.

Schmeckt immer gut, super nettes Personal, einfach rundum gelungen. Lediglich das begrenzte Platzangebot ist ein kleines Hindernis.

Wir waren zum Kaffee trinken dort. Relativ kleiner Gastraum,aber grosser Aussenbereich. Der Kuchen war frisch und lecker, der Kaffee ok. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam.

Wie waren mit 11 Personen und Hund da. Davon 1 Kind und ein Rollstuhlfahrer. Meinem Hund wurde unaufgefordert Wasser gereicht. Auch sonst fanden wir den Service sehr gut. Das Essen war auch sehr lecker und es gab nichts zu meckern. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das ist ein ganz wunderbares Restaurant, bei dem alles stimmt. Toller, zugewandter Service, erstklassiges Essen, angenehmes Ambiente. Deshalb fast immer ausgebucht! Zurecht.

Summer or winter, always a cozy place. Attentive and friendly staff.

Extremely bad experience. We wanted to celebrate our birthday in Alten Muehle Restaurant, so we called them earlier and they mentioned they would not take reservations beforehand. When the first of us arrived, they gave us a seat outside, barely prepared a table, and while we were waiting for further pof our invitees to arrive, the restaurant staff kept putting pressure on us to consume considerably more (as if the initial drinks we ordered were not enough profitable for them). Moreover, they also mentioned that in about 1 hour we would have to leave! When the rest of invitees arrived, we decided not to pursue with the celebration at Alten Muehle given the awful experience and bad service provided. Rude staff, that will explicitly treat you as a cash basket, not a customer. I do not recommend at all.

The best food, the best service, the most beautiful outdoor dining in Bad Vilbel, and just a stone's throw from the castle festival.

We were surprised, given the small location, BUT the food was truly amazing. I chose a vegan meal, even though I'm not a vegetarian, and I was so surprised. It tasted simply amazing, and I didn't miss the fact that there was no meat. There were three of us, and we were all completely satisfied with the food. We will definitely eat here again. It's highly recommended, even if there are no parking spaces directly in front of the restaurant. The parking garage isn't far away. The service is also impeccable! A definite recommendation!

I was there to see West Side Story as part of the festival, so I only bought a drink outside. I can't comment on the restaurant. But the theater was fantastic! Great atmosphere, wonderful location. A fantastic evening.

We wanted to celebrate a birthday here – outside. When we called the day before, we were told we couldn't reserve a table and should come by. Part of our group arrived at 11:15 a.m. and were given a small wooden table in the far corner, with the information that we could only stay until 1 p.m. (which no one had mentioned on the phone beforehand). Unfortunately, we arrived a little late due to the parking situation, but didn't even get a chance to sit down, as our group was asked to leave the restaurant again (for no reason). While they were waiting, they had already ordered drinks and glanced at the menu, but wanted to wait until we arrived to get their food (as is customary). While they were there, the table hadn't been set, nor were they actually served. Other tables, however, were, and some even arrived after them. There were also reserved tables outside, which is odd considering they don't accept reservations. I don't know if you're only served and treated with respect here if you're considered wealthy or speak perfect German, but I've rarely experienced anything like that. Treating an old woman and a mother with a child like that is truly disgusting! I absolutely can't recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you want to be treated like a cash cow. I would also recommend the owners focus a bit more on good service—then maybe they wouldn't have to try so desperately to generate revenue.

It's very tasty there. Prices are great too. There's something for everyone. Unfortunately, Visa payments aren't accepted, so bring cash or a debit card 😉

The short wait for a table was totally worth it. There were three of us and we had three different, amazing meals. The prices were more than reasonable. The staff were very attentive and friendly. During a technical training session at Brother, we technicians were invited to dinner that evening. The restaurant has a very fine selection of delicious dishes. We felt completely at home the entire evening. Not only was it delicious, the meat was top-notch, but the staff also served us very courteously. The location by the small river also made the atmosphere very cozy.

A restaurant that leaves something to be desired. You have to wait a long time for a waiter and even longer for the food and drinks. You can also get small plates, but you have to know or ask for it. Apparently it's on the menu. Prices are okay.

I've known and visited the Alte Mühle for many years. Both the service and the quality of the food are always top-notch! It's also one of the few restaurants in Bad Vilbel where you can sit outside, away from the traffic. The restaurant is very popular, and rightfully so, so reservations are recommended.

Finally, a place for the senses and the palate. A very well-kept location. With delicious drinks and excellent food. We particularly liked the service. Super friendly, competent, and quick to respond. And always with a friendly smile and personal touches for the guests. Here, I'm still perceived as a customer/person. Many thanks again to the great team. Keep it up... I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Right on the river, with a beautiful view, I spent a truly lovely evening. The staff were so friendly and attentive – I felt very comfortable from the very first moment. The grilled vegetable salad was incredibly delicious. The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, and everything was designed with great attention to detail. Yesterday at lunchtime I dropped in at the Alten Mühle restaurant - a cozy place with a nice interior. The staff was very friendly and polite. I ordered a beef dish - the meat was very fresh, and the sauce for it was a real discovery. It resembled creamy mustard, but with a special taste that is hard to describe. I would come back here at least to try this sauce again. I highly recommend it!

Inside and outside....simply great and super delicious food

We love coming here. The service is top-notch; whether from the seemingly young student intern or the experienced waitress, everyone is consistently friendly and personable! Water for the dog or a high chair are offered without having to ask. The food is seasonally fresh and always delicious. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer (>15 minutes), but that's probably because it has to be freshly prepared. During peak times and on weekends, it's usually quite busy, so it's worth making a reservation. Sitting outside by the Nidda River is a lovely place to unwind.

One of the best restaurants I've ever visited in Germany! If you're in Offenbach, be sure to stop by. We ordered a plate with grill mix - everything was incredibly delicious. The service was top-notch: attentive staff, cozy atmosphere, care for guests is felt in the details. A real feast of taste and comfort!

Beautiful place to eat and hang out. The service is always friendly and attentive. Great people. We always like to come.

Very nicely located restaurant on the Nidda. Privacy-protected courtyard where you can sit protected from the wind. The food is different. The salads and the daily menu (spaghetti pesto) were delicious and a very generous portion. The schnitzel with fried potatoes was manageable. The meat portion was OK but the fried potatoes were a bit tight and quite oily. The staff is friendly, very attentive and on the ball.

Small but good memory card. The restaurant was very busy, but there were no long waiting times.

I have often been disappointed with the Alte Mühle in the past - but I recently rediscovered it and am pleasantly surprised! Especially when the weather is nice, it's a wonderful place to stop with my son. We were particularly impressed by the current selection of cakes, the fresh waffles and the crumble - all very tasty and lovingly made. A nice place to stay, relaxed and family friendly.

Quantity over quality. Okay for a refreshing drink

The somewhat hidden restaurant is easy to reach on foot via Hassia Park. I went there for dinner with a large group. The service staff was friendly and quick and the food was well prepared and super tasty. The restaurant also has a beautifully located beer garden.

Unfortunately my visit to “In der Alten Mühle” was disappointing. The following points contributed to this: SERVICE: The service was nice but totally overwhelmed (lost). People didn't necessarily talk nicely to each other and in front of guests. Ambiance: you can expect more for this price range. Price-performance ratio: Aperol with a lot of ice and little Aperol for €8.70 is unacceptable. In Bad Vilbel you can get a more tasty Aperol for half the price in other places. Cleanliness: the service staff keep the tables clean, but the same cannot be said about the toilets. Toilets in a restaurant are always an indicator of how hygiene is handled on site in general. Everyone can draw their own conclusions from that. Conclusion: Prices at the world level with the service of a province.

Mein Freund und ich waren am Sonntag gegen 17:00 Uhr vor Ort. Anfangs wirkte das Ambiente wirklich gemütlich, und auch Personal war genügend vor Ort. Doch schnell merkte man, dass das Personal teilweise völlig überfordert und orientierungslos wirkte. Wir haben uns dann selbst einen Aperol Spritz bestellt und uns nach draußen begeben. Also ich selbst komme aus der Gastronomie und habe noch nie einen so schlechten Aperol-Spritz getrunken. Und das für den stolzen Preis von 8,70 € pro Glas. Das Glas war bis oben hin mit Eiswürfeln gefüllt. (hier ist weniger mehr) Ich weiß nicht, ob es Sekt oder Prosecco war. Auf jeden Fall war er schal und kaum zu schmecken. Ich habe vergeblich nach dem „Spritz“ gesucht. Und dieses kleine verkümmerte Stück Orange erst, keine Ahnung, was man sich dabei gedacht hat. Also das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passte hier auf keinen Fall. Ich zahle auch gern mal zehn Euro für ein gutes Getränk, wenn es eben ordentlich zubereitet wird. Ich bin mega enttäuscht. Davon mal abgesehen bekommt man in der Innenstadt von Bad Vilbel bei einem Eiscafé einen super leckeren Aperol Spritz für gerade mal 4,80 €. (Nur mal so am Rande) Last but not least, die Toiletten sind die untersten Kategorien in diesem Haus gewesen. Zumindest an diesem Tag. Also jedes Bahnhofsklo in Frankfurt ist sauberer als es hier der Fall war. Es fehlte in jeder Toilette das Toilettenpapier. Die Toiletten selbst haben schon bessere Zeiten gesehen. Zumindest was die Sauberkeit betrifft, „absolut unterirdisch“ Die Waschbecken waren verdreckt & voller Haare. Der Seifenspender war übergelaufen, überall lag Toilettenpapier herum. Die Spiegel waren komplett verschmiert und verspritzt. Mein Freund berichtet, dass es in der Herrentoilette nicht anders aussah, absolut unterirdisch und Grenzwertig. Als wir nach draußen gingen, haben wir sehen können, dass mindestens sechs Bedienungen mit Küchenhandtüchern im Kreis standen & abgetrocknet haben. Nichts gegen die Bedienungen, die waren alle nett, haben sich wirklich Mühe gegeben, aber wie gesagt, sie waren alle irgendwie lost. Haben sich vor Gästen gestritten und waren absolut überfordert, gerade wenn es ums Bezahlen ging. Was wir zufällig mitbekommen haben: Zwei Frauen am Nebentisch mussten locker 30 Minuten warten und viermal fragen, ob sie denn endlich bezahlen könnten. Schlussendlich sind sie aufgestanden und nach drinnen gegangen, um zu bezahlen. Gerade ich weiß, dass der Job in der Gastronomie einem vieles abverlangt, aber gerade für dieses Haus und den Hype, der da herrscht, verstehe ich das nicht, könnt ihr euch kein Toiletten-Personal leisten? Oder euer Personal anständig Schulen? Hier hat mir einfach ein Team Leader oder Ähnliches gefehlt. Fazit, man hat es mal gesehen und das war’s auch schon. Schade

My boyfriend and I arrived on Sunday around 5:00 p.m. At first, the atmosphere seemed really cozy, and there were plenty of staff on hand. But we quickly noticed that some of the staff seemed completely overwhelmed and disoriented. We then ordered ourselves an Aperol Spritz and went outside. I come from a restaurant background and have never had such a bad Aperol Spritz. And that for the hefty price of €8.70 per glass. The glass was filled to the top with ice cubes. (Less is more here.) I don't know if it was sparkling wine or Prosecco. In any case, it was flat and barely palatable. I looked in vain for the "Spritz." And that little shriveled piece of orange—no idea what they were thinking. So the value for money was definitely not right here. I'm happy to pay ten euros for a good drink, as long as it's prepared properly. I'm extremely disappointed. Apart from that, you can get a super delicious Aperol Spritz at an ice cream parlor in downtown Bad Vilbel for just €4.80. (Just a side note.) Last but not least, the toilets were the lowest category in this building. At least on that day. Any train station restroom in Frankfurt is cleaner than this one. Every toilet was missing toilet paper. The toilets themselves have seen better days. At least in terms of cleanliness, "absolutely substandard." The sinks were dirty and full of hair. The soap dispenser was overflowing, and toilet paper was lying around everywhere. The mirrors were completely smeared and splattered. My boyfriend reports that the men's restroom was no different – ​​absolutely substandard and borderline. When we went outside, we saw at least six waitresses standing in a circle with kitchen towels, drying themselves. Nothing against the waitresses; they were all nice and really tried hard, but as I said, they were all kind of lost. They were arguing in front of guests and were completely overwhelmed, especially when it came to paying. What we overheard: Two women at the next table had to wait at least 30 minutes and asked four times if they could finally pay. Finally, they got up and went inside to pay. I, of all people, know that a job in the restaurant industry demands a lot, but especially for this place and the hype surrounding it, I don't understand it. Can't you afford restroom staff? Or properly train your staff? I just felt like a team leader or something similar was missing here. Bottom line: you saw it once, and that's it. Too bad

The toilets are an imposition. Service was borderline, it was supposed to be fun, but unfortunately it was quite intrusive. Food, okay, but no revelation.

Small restaurant with very tasty food and friendly service. There is something for everyone. The only thing that bothers me is that the tables are very close to each other. Nice terrace in summer.
