Restaurant "Zur Dorfschänke" in Bad Dürkheim

There is super delicious veal cordon bleu here. I always enjoy coming back. Very nice service! On warmer days you can sit in the beautiful garden, which reminds me a little of a fairytale forest. When the weather is cold it's nice to sit in the room.

Very small room, but super delicious food. Probably the best home-style food in the region. Only recommended!!! Service was also super friendly and nice. You feel like you are at home with mom/grandma. P.S.: Portions very large 😊 Our food: - Ox cheeks, so tender that they melt in your mouth. - Cordon Bleu filled with porcini mushrooms (a full plate size) that was very tender with super crispy breading and fresh mushrooms. Unfortunately no pictures because it was eaten too quickly and it was delicious 😋

A very nice evening with a very tasty meal and a super nice and cheerful service. The sweet culinary highlight was the rusty knight, which we still rave about today (a must try:-). We were thrilled and can only recommend this beautiful restaurant.

The Dorfschänke in Seebach offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere that invites you to linger. Here warm hospitality is combined with solid, regional cuisine. The porcini mushroom soup was a successful introduction - creamy and aromatic, with an intense mushroom flavor that was pleasantly warming. The fresh side salad was crunchy and provided a refreshing touch. A highlight was the red cabbage roulade, filled with tasty minced game. This combination was a delight both in taste and texture. The very tasty porcini mushroom cream sauce, which complemented the roulade wonderfully, was another plus. The roulade was reminiscent of traditional gołąbki and showed the cook's Polish handwriting. I would have been happy if the mashed potatoes advertised on the board had been served instead of the pumpkin puree. The pork cordon bleu was perfectly prepared: crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, accompanied by crispy fried potatoes, that's how you want cordon bleu. The ox cheeks were simply delicious – buttery tender and full of flavor. A real highlight! The Dorfschänke offers a good selection of regional Palatinate wines that go perfectly with the dishes. As a special touch, there is also the Polish Żubrówka vodka, which authentically complements the Palatinate restaurant in Polish hands. A few Polish dishes like Flaki, Żurek or Bigos would be a great addition to an already excellent menu and would enrich the culinary offering. For dessert there were the “Rusty Knights”, which were nice and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside – a sweet, cozy end to the menu. The attentive service also contributed to a successful evening. Overall, the Dorfschänke impresses with honest, well-prepared cuisine and a friendly atmosphere. A visit here is definitely recommended!

Cozy, homely restaurant with a few tables (be sure to reserve!). The service is very attentive and personable and the food is outstandingly good. We had pumpkin and porcini mushroom soup, a red cabbage roulade and a veal cordon bleu with porcini mushroom filling, from the autumn menu. All highly recommended. (no card payment, so bring enough cash)

The restaurant is inconspicuous, but I was even more positively surprised by the service and the quality of the food. The prices are reasonable for this quality. The menu is clear and limited to some seasonal dishes. But, as I said, this has an impact on the freshness of the products. The young lady from the service, who I was initially skeptical about, shone with a confident performance and even replaced an apple spritzer that had just been brought over, which our daughter had accidentally knocked over. She was very attentive and articulate (thank you for the professional service). The outdoor area is small but idyllic. We and our friends who were there will certainly come back. I have never eaten better schnitzel in different variations. Update August 6, 2024: A non-alcoholic wheat beer now costs €5.90. Probably the most expensive wheat in Bad Dürkheim. Please leave the church in the village.

You won't find a better Wiener Schnitzel in all of Austria! Everything was very tasty and, on top of that, super nice service!

We had dinner in the village tavern last night. We all ordered the veal cordon bleu and we all really enjoyed it. It was very delicious!! Afterwards there was a Black Forest cup and tiramisu... That was also delicious. When the weather was nice we were able to sit outside, which was really nice. We would like to come back!

You can taste that a lot of it is homemade. Had veal schnitzel with a dark gravy and mashed potatoes. Everything tasted very good.

Over an hour of waiting time for the food, some of it dry, several times what was ordered wasn't served. Noisy and cramped rooms. Invoice ended up wrong.

A friendly welcome in a small but comfortable setting. A beautiful, simple menu and above all seasonal products offered as suggestions. The meal is very hearty and super delicious, homemade…and the waitress takes great care of her customers. Absolutely recommended address.

Door was closed and the sign in front of the restaurant read "new opening hours" which excluded Monday EDIT #2: To the insistence that the restaurant was open at 1700 today: it was not. Moreover, it has a sign with "new opening hours" on the board in front of the restaurant on which it said that it is now closed on Mondays. To the owner: go in front of your restaurant and look at what the board says for your opening hours.

Great service, very tasty food and the finest Pinot Gris 😀 we had a lovely evening and ate very well! It was wonderful to hear how our Wiener Schnitzel were freshly plated :) Thanks to Natalia for the excellent service.

Super delicious food. The schnitzel and fried potatoes were world class and the service was nice. The small drawback is the lack of card payment and you should put all the components of a meal on the card.

We really enjoyed it because the cooking here is fresh, no ready-made sauces! Good things take time, but it didn't take too long, even though the restaurant was full. Great job by the two ladies who served us and cooked for us. Thanks for that.

Clocky restaurant with great food and portions that fill you up. I often eat out in the Palatinate. This restaurant is one of my favorites. The Cordon Bleu is a dream

We were there at a family celebration. About 30 participants. The service was a bit overwhelmed, but still nice and very attentive. There was shrimp in sauce as a starter. I found this delicious, others found the sauce a bit too sour. The grilled pepperoni was also very good. The main course included salmon or schnitzel. The participants who had salmon were very pleased and it was also beautifully prepared. Schnitzel could have been a bit thicker, they were a bit dry. That was definitely due to the circumstances and therefore okay. Some sauce would have been good. But the taste was completely good, and the fried potatoes were also very good. The fries were homemade and also very good. For dessert there were rusty knights, which were so delicious, I've never had anything that good before. Highly recommended. I would like to give 5 stars for this day.

We were there for the first time today. It was incredibly loud... But now we had reserved a table and stayed. I had a winemaker's steak with a side salad and fries. You can optionally order herb butter or onion sauce... I wished for a bit of each but apparently that wasn't possible. So I got a large bowl of very oily onion sauce and 2 pieces of herb butter. Even though I barely touched the onion sauce because it was too oily, I paid the full price. The waitress asked what was wrong but didn't respond further to my answer. Well, that was just my bad luck... We would come back because the food (except the onion sauce) was okay, but the noise was an absolute no go! The space isn't very big either. Maybe it's a little more comfortable outside in summer.

I would like to say in advance that the Dorfschänke is run by a very lovely family. We got to meet mom and daughter that evening. There is still real passion and commitment in this company! We ate a delicious cordon bleu and Hawaiian schnitzel there. The portion of the children's schnitzel was also very generous, and ordering a cream sauce for the child was no problem at all. The salad was also really tasty and fresh. The service was very attentive and friendly throughout the evening. We were absolutely thrilled that they responded so kindly to changes and requests. The Hawaiian schnitzel wasn't on the menu and yet it was made possible. I was very happy about that. When we asked if there was also Trout Müllerin style, we were told that we could specify that when making our next reservation and then they would make it for us. Where else is there something like that? Such an accommodating thing! At the end there was even a "children's schnapps" for the child too, so that they don't feel left out when the adults drink a liqueur. So sweet, really. Thank you for a lovely evening with you and see you soon!

There were 4 people there yesterday. I have to say - RESPECT. We were greeted by a super nice waitress. She always had time even though the restaurant was full and she was alone. The food is all freshly prepared and was delicious. Changes to the court were no problem at all. Price-performance is more than justified. I can only recommend the liver dumplings. We'll definitely be back. Please keep it up. Full points A special thanks again to the great service.

Update November 2023: Zuerst standen wir an einem Samstagmittag vor verschlossener Tür… nun sind leider (bis auf So) alle Mittagsöffnungzeiten weggefallen…sehr, sehr schade…wird sicher seine Gründe haben! Tolles, sehr reichhaltiges Essen zu fairen Preisen in gemütlichem Ambiente. Kindergerecht. Es wurden 2 Sonderwünsche anstandslos und sehr lecker umgesetzt. Freundliche zuvorkommende Bedienung. Für uns ganz wichtig!!! ==> Ehrliches Kochen, alles selbst zubereitet, deshalb nimmt man gerne eine etwas längere Wartezeit in Kauf. Es lohnt sich!!!!

Spontan entschlossen haben wir ein Restaurant in Wohnortnähe gesucht und sind bei der uns bis dato unbekannten Dorfschänke in Bad Dürkheim gelandet. Reservierung per Telefon war kein Problem trotz recht kurzfristiger Buchung. Der Service war sehr gut. Wir haben unterschiedliche Gerichte gegessen und waren zu dritt alle sehr zufrieden mit dem Essen sowie mit den Nachspeisen. Ich kann das Restaurant rundum nur empfehlen. Gerne kommen wir wieder. Die Portionen waren genau richtig dimensioniert und wurden gekonnt garniert.

Eine absolute Weiterempfehlung. Sehr tolles Essen, sowohl geschmacklich als auch die Tellersprache. Meines Erachtens für jeden etwas dabei inkl. für die Kleinen - Kinderkarte. Die waren absolut von den rostigen Rittern als Dessert begeistert. Können alles empfehlen was wir hatten. Rumpsteak, Kalbsschnitzel, Kabeljaufilet. Tolle Weine runden alles ab. Sehr aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Für uns ein mehr als gelungener Abend.

Familiäre Atmosphäre, sehr gemütlich, mega leckeres Essen, sehr gute Bedienung, kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Wir waren zum Abendessen und wurden super freundlich von Aga bedient. Wir waren im Außenbereich gesessen, da es die Temperaturen noch zuließen. . Wir hatten jeweils eine Vorspeise, Peperoni und Scampi und eine Hauptspeise Wiener Schnitzel und einmal Risotto mit Zander Filet. Geschmacklich sehr lecker und auch schön angerichtet. Vielen Dank an Aga für den hervorragenden Service und an die Küche für das leckere Essen. Wir kommen nächste Woche wieder mit Freunden.

Wir fühlten uns während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts bestens umsorgt und werden definitiv wiederkommen. Unsere Hochzeit im "Zur Dorfschänke" wird für immer in unseren Herzen bleiben. Lecker Essen und große Portionen

Byliśmy dziś na obiedzie w restauracji. Bardzo miło zostaliśmy przywitani i obsłużeni. Jedzenie bardzo smaczne, widać ze przygotowane od serca-duze porcje i przygotowane z sercem. Obsługa wraz z właścicielka pierwsza klasa. Dbają o gości i o każdy szczegół . Polecam z całego serca. Napewno odwiedziny restauracje nie jeden raz.

Wir haben uns intrafamiliär auf halbem Weg getroffen und dieses Lokal im Internet gefunden. Die Rezensionen versprachen eine gute Küche ... also Tisch reserviert und angereist. Von außen macht es nicht viel her und die Erwartungen sind nicht hoch. Drinnen dann wurden wir herzlich empfangen und haben nach Karte bestellt. Im Vorfeld ein Salat, dann Hauptgericht und Nachtisch. ***** für die Küche. Super lecker, frisch zubereitet, mega Portionen und wir wurden super toll bedient. Alles perfekt. Als Geheimtip geeignet. Wir kommen sicher wieder. Danke für einen tollen Abend.

Wir waren zu 6. zum Abendessen. Wir mussten sehr lange auf unser Essen warten. Aber aus folgenden Gründen: 1. es wird super frisch gekocht ( man hört wie die Schnitzel geklopft werden) 2. auch in diesem Restaurant herrscht Mitarbeitermangel. Die sehr nette Bedienung ist fast für alles verantwortlich. Dabei aber stets freundlich und spaßig. Wir haben gerne auf unser Essen gewartet. Es war alles sehr lecker- besonders die Schnitzel :) Wir können das Restaurant Dorfschänke zu 100% weiterempfehlen.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker, allerdings hat es sehr lange gedauert bis wir unser Essen hatten. Zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptgang verging eine Stunde. Ambiente und Geschmack haben aber gestimmt, somit würden wir wieder kommen.

Wir waren heute zum Geburtstag der Schwiermutter zum ersten Mal hier. Sehr schöner Innenhof zum draußen sitzen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und qualitativ super. Die Bedienung war alleine man merkte ihr aber den Stress nicht an. Stets freundlich auch zu unseren Kinder dafür grosses Lob und auch an die Küche da dass Essen schnell kam. Nur zu empfehlen

Traditionelle Pfälzer Gerichte, Klassiker der deutschen Küche und verschiedene vegetarische Speisen werden hier von einer begabten Köchin und ihrem Team frisch zubereitet. Ein uriger Gastraum und ein gemütlicher Garten laden zum Verweilen ein.
