Had very fine ox cheeks with mashed potatoes and a wonderful sauce. Like made at home👍 The waiter was very nice and quick, wanted bread with my dish and came straight away. Also nice music from the street musicians.

For the most part we were satisfied with the food. However, one dish didn't taste good at all. It was relatively nice to sit outside. Beer garden atmosphere. Street musicians played nearby and played very well. However, the waitress wasn't in the mood at all. The gentleman was totally annoyed with his customers. The proximity to the archaeological park was practical for us.

Went there for the first and last time yesterday. 2mm schnitzel, 2mm breading, inedible fries, my companion was horrified.

Unfortunately, our former favorite restaurant was rocked down. Mass tourist processing at canteen level at inflated prices. Staff without an overview and visibly looking forward to the end of the day. Sticky tables and spice shakers - disgustingly unhygienic! Without the great location, it would probably be bankrupt long ago. Too bad! It used to be significantly better. Well, there are plenty of alternatives... Unfortunately, it's not sustainable at all: no salad, but lots of fries. I have no idea how many kilos of fries end up in the trash every evening. In any case, we didn't see any plates that didn't contain a very large portion of fries! Unfortunately it is completely dismissed by the staff. Unfortunately, our other food was inedible and totally tasteless. Wine seems to be an extremely lucrative business there: 0.5 l costs e.g. B. 18.00 euros, although it is questionable whether it was actually the wine ordered?! Conclusion: no! Rip-off across the board, without us Xanteners. And you can't survive on tourists alone in the long term. As 'insiders' we will definitely stick to alternative locations in the future and unfortunately we can only advise that to all tourists who don't want to gamble away their money on the 'Boerse'.

Went there recently and didn't think it was very great. The poor waiter was completely overwhelmed by the amount of people. We waited almost 80 minutes for our food. There was even hair in my mother's food. My steak was served with canned mushrooms and the sauce was also kind of bland. Lovely a few croquettes next to it. Fine for drinking beer, but nothing more.

When I ordered the schnitzel, the breading was thicker than the schnitzel. The price was a little high for that. You don't have to have it again.

Cozy terrace on the central square. Good service. Pfannenkuchen mit Pfifferlingenrahm taken. A kind of savory gratin pancake with chanterelles, with cream of course, cheese, bacon and blue grapes. It was very tasty and more than enough at a reasonable price. Definitely recommended. Unfortunately no photo...forgotten.

We received a clear recommendation for the stock exchange from a strange couple on the market. Very attentive and quick service. The fries were great! My husband liked the Balkan schnitzel. One star is deducted for the fact that there is only one meatless dish on the season menu. There's even meat in the salad... = lucky that the vegetarian likes chanterelles and tagliatelle!

I recommend it to everyone. Delicious food, great service, perfect portions.

The food was good, as you would expect in a restaurant - not fine dining, but definitely ok for lunch. The service was friendly and very attentive. Unfortunately, in my opinion, seating outside doesn't invite you to linger. The prices for the dishes are completely ok. Unfortunately, cash payment is ONLY possible, which I find absolutely absurd these days and especially in the Xanten city center, where there is not an ATM to be found. When we ordered and saw the note about cash payment on the menu, my husband had to run to the nearest bank and get money. It doesn't work at all!!!

Last Saturday we had dinner in the Restaurant zur Börsen. It was an excellent decision. We had reserved in advance (2 people). Service is great, very fast and super attentive. We hadn't eaten such great schnitzel for a long time. Plus a delicious beer. It was a perfect evening. Thanks to the whole team.

The dishes are too expensive Wiener Schnitzel with fries €14.50. There is no salad included. A Schmitz Hawaii costs €17.50 without a side salad. The restaurant is located directly on the market. Some of the tables are right next to each other, so you can't hear the conversations from the neighboring table.

We stopped here on Saturday afternoon to have a drink. A look at the plates of the guests at the neighboring tables seemed extremely appetizing and so we ordered something to eat. We had a Wiener Schnitzel with fries (nice and thin, crispy breaded but juicy meat) for the junior, a Hawaiian Schnitzel and a really excellent omelet with Hollandaise sauce, mountain cheese, grapes and chanterelle cream. The latter was absolutely delicious. The service was professional, very attentive and quick the food we ordered was very tasty. The whole thing for one - given the location right on the busy market square and the direct proximity to the cathedral - a reasonable price of just over €60 for 3 main courses, 2 large shandies and a large Fanta.

Gambled on the stock market. Seduced by the ambience and location, it was once again a letdown. Oily, muddy fried potatoes, napkin dumplings like they were made from gray bread and an inedible salad. But the drinks were cold and delicious. Small consolation. The apologetic cappuccino was just a lot of milk with a coffee aroma. On the stock market you would say “bearish”.

We were in Xanten for a weekend and the stock exchange was within walking distance of the hotel. The food (Budapest Schnitzel and Krüstchen) were very tasty. I had a really good Pinot Gris and my husband had a wheat beer. The service was very attentive and friendly. The prices are more than reasonable for the location and service. The decor is rustic and cozy.

Lovely terrace with a beautiful view over the square. Friendly service. Large portions! It's a shame that you can only pay in cash. In the past, you were prepared for this when you visited Germany; Nowadays you can use your PIN just about anywhere.

We were there a while ago and were very impressed. Tasty, reasonable prices and portions.

Actually a good kitchen, but today I was bitterly disappointed. I ordered the coconut curry soup with fried chicken breast with baguette. There was also a soup that tasted like coconut curry, but there was no sign of the broiled chicken breast (pieces), it probably didn't fit in the soup cup, which was much too small!!!

Had lunch with spargel soup and bärlauch dip along with bier and at the end coffee with pan cake. Everything was fine just the Vanilla flavoured coffee was too sweet, the sugar was already added, hence we couldn't do much to change it...

Nice restaurant on the market square. After looking at the map, we were about to stop when we saw the big sign: NO CARD PAYMENT. Unfortunately, since we didn't have enough cash with us, we couldn't eat anything here. A pity.

Spent a holiday in Xanten. At lunchtime I was very hungry. We ended up here looking for a restaurant. Ordered the schnitzel "Krüstchen". Food came quite quickly and was also warm. Unfortunately the fried potatoes are a bit wobbly - but that's no art anyway to make good, crispy fried potatoes. Unfortunately, the service was a bit stressful. The smile was missing. But - everyone has a stupid day. Andonsten- can be recommended

A nice restaurant located in the middle of Xanten. Modernly furnished and with a diverse menu. I had a Rhenish hare soup, definitely a recommendation. Attentive and friendly service. No card payments possible.

Waren zum 1x dort. Kellner sehr freundlich. Essen kam schnell obwohl es sehr voll war. Kellnerinnen waren sehr nett, aber Besitzer scheinen sehr unfreundlich zu sein.

Super gezellig cafe restaurant met leuk terras. Goed eten, goulashsoep was heerlijk. Gesitueerd aan een gezellig plein met leuk uitzicht. De service was prima, leuke mensen. Ook de bezoekers waren gezellig. Snelle bediening. Een echte aanrader!

Wer es Bürgerlich mag ist hier genau richtig 👍. Das Ambiente passt, und es ist nichts daran auszusetzen. Uns hat es gefallen, und dafür gab es fünf Sterne in allen Rubriken.

Direkt am Marktplatz vom Xanten in eine sehr nette Atmosphere. Essen sehr lecker, Personal freundlich.

Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, das Essen ist gut, allerdings gibt es keine große Auswahl an Gerichten. Wir konnten nicht mit Karte bezahlen, es wurde nur Bargeld akzeptiert.

Esse dort mehrmals im Jahr mit Weiterempfehlung die ich jedoch nicht mehr aussprechen werde. Schnitzel sehr dünn, Friteuse gegart, Zulagen keine, undefinierbare Sosse beim Budapester Schnitzel. Dafür kann ich in eine gute Frittenbude gehen, die machen das echt besser. Service ist schnell, freundlich und spitze.

Netter und aufmerksamer Service. Sehr gutes Essen zu fairen Preisen. Wir kommen immer gerne wieder.

Uriges Restaurant in der Xantener Innenstadt, bei dem jeder Gast willkommen ist. Es war auch möglich spontan einen Tisch zu bekommen. Die Portionen sind ordentlich und die Preise moderat. Eine klare Empfehlung, wenn man mal in der Stadt ist.
