We started with pumpkin soup, followed by the cod fillet as our main course, and apple crumble for dessert. We were completely satisfied with the food, and the service was good as well. The roasted potato wedges, made from convenience food, weren't really necessary in the main course. I would have preferred rosemary potatoes tossed in butter. But that's really nitpicking. We'd gladly come back anytime! 👍

Today we went to the Arche for dinner for the first time in probably over 10 years – and we were very pleasantly surprised. We booked a table online with ease. We really liked the ambiance: nice, tidy, cozy, and simply comfortable ☺️ The menu is very good, with a great selection that's neither too large nor too small. I would have liked more than two vegan dishes (there's a burger and a salad); I would have been very happy with a vegan soup starter, for example. The drinks menu is also very extensive; I've rarely seen anything like it anywhere else. The service was friendly and attentive, and the wait time was reasonable. We also really liked the fact that, despite the large number of guests, it wasn't noisy, thanks to unobtrusive transparent partitions. Other restaurants are often very loud, making it difficult to have a conversation. Fortunately, that's different here; it's very pleasant. I'm deducting one star because I would have preferred some vegetarian/vegan dishes. Nevertheless, we'll definitely be back soon and happily. 😊

Always a nice place to stop, for example, on a bike ride. Delicious cakes, tarte flambée, waffles, and very friendly service. Highly recommended.

We were here as tourists. We spent a lovely few hours on the terrace in perfect weather. The service team is excellent, even when the restaurant is at capacity. A note about the food, which we had also mentioned on site, is that the roast beef is sliced thinly, which enhances the flavor, like a good ham. Hence the only 3 stars. Another note: The service was so good that our courses were served very quickly one after the other. Perhaps they were a bit overambitious here. Perhaps they should ask the guests how much of a hurry they were in. We wanted to eat leisurely.

Recommendation…: Drive to the ark in Voerde… Look at the Rhine… Order a drink of your choice… In addition, order a good meal and chat with the super nice, always friendly staff… ...and you will notice. I'm in the ARK...; forget all the stress and anger of the day, look at the mighty stream and relax…!!!

From the very beginning, we received an incredibly warm welcome and professional support from Mr. and Mrs. Pillekamp. Regardless of the planning, the scheduling, or even the smallest details – we felt in good hands at all times. On the day itself, everything went smoothly: The service team was attentive, friendly, always smiling, and absolutely reliable. Our guests were also thrilled – with both the ambiance and the food and the fantastic team. A huge thank you to the entire Arche team – you made our day perfect with your support. We drove 60 km from Bochum because they said it was a great place to sit and have a drink. When we got there, we were thrilled. As soon as we sat down, we were told to order food, otherwise we'd have to leave the table after 30 minutes. I've never experienced anything like it. You're forced to order food if you want to sit longer. Never again! Absolutely NOT recommended. We definitely won't be coming back.

The Zur Arche restaurant in Götterswickerham is definitely a place you shouldn't miss! From the moment you arrive, you'll be enchanted by the idyllic location directly on the Rhine. The atmosphere is pleasant—cozy and inviting. Whether you're sitting inside in the tastefully decorated ambiance by the panoramic windows or outside on the terrace enjoying the view of the water and the passing ships, you immediately feel at home. The service was excellent. The manager and staff were attentive, friendly, and very accommodating, without being intrusive. You can tell that they work with passion and that the well-being of their guests is their top priority. And now for the most important thing: the food! The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes. The lunch menu may be smaller, but everyone should find something here. Between lunch and dinner, there's coffee and cake and some snacks—such as tarte flambée or goulash soup. Great emphasis is placed on fresh, high-quality ingredients. The portions were generous and filling. Fortunately, there are also smaller portions available for children and seniors for most dishes. Unfortunately, a flat €2 is deducted from the price for dishes that are halved. This is common practice at comparable restaurants, where the price is 20-30%. I'm deducting a small star for this. If you still can't make it, you can take the leftovers home, well-packaged. The wine list is also well-stocked and offers a selection to complement the dishes. All in all, our visit to the Zur Arche restaurant was a complete success, and we'll be back often. It's a great place for a tasty meal, a cozy evening with friends, or even a family celebration. The combination of good food, attentive service, and a beautiful view of the Rhine makes this restaurant a real highlight. I can wholeheartedly recommend the Zur Arche restaurant in Götterswickerham and am already looking forward to my next visit!

We celebrated our wedding at the Arche, and it was simply dreamy! All our expectations were exceeded. The location directly on the Rhine is simply magical. The terrace overlooking the water, the beautiful decorations, the atmosphere... everything was designed with so much heart that we felt completely at home. The service was absolutely first-class: attentive, friendly, and professional. Every single member of staff was fully committed and contributed to making this day perfect. The food was divine!!! Fresh, lovingly prepared, and tasted fantastic. The drinks selection was also outstanding, and all of our guests were absolutely thrilled. There were two of us here on June 8, 2025 (Whitsun Sunday) for the asparagus buffet. It sounded quite nice, as it's peak asparagus season. It was anything but nice; the asparagus was hard, bitter, and cold. 🥹🥹 The salmon fillet was dry, as was the zander. There was also grilled asparagus, which was only lukewarm. I must say it was very thin and tasted good. Then there weren't any schnitzels; they were warm but unfortunately also dry. The buffet selection wasn't justified at €42.50 per person!! If the weather had been better, you could have sat outside, but whether the asparagus would have been any better is debatable. I won't be coming here again!! That was my experience, and that's my opinion! Just try it out for yourself, folks, and see if it's for you. Tastes differ, and there's no accounting for taste. 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮

Unique location on the Rhine. Good views from both the beer garden and the restaurant interior. Great menu with plenty of fish. A fine lunchtime menu with lighter bites and select cakes. The service was fast and courteous. Only the entrance and exit from the parking lot is not entirely safe... Very annoying! I drove to the Arche twice – from Duisburg – and it took a while... Closed on Friday for a private party, then suddenly closed on Tuesday because Thursday was a holiday... We and others were surprised to find the doors closed on both days... It wasn't listed online! Poor service! Often, this shouldn't happen in the digital age!

We had schnitzel on Whit Monday. For the price (over €20!!!), it was very carelessly served on the plate, garnished with a slice of lemon on a green leaf. That was it. The five croquettes and the schnitzel were completely out of place. Many kiosks have more garnish on their plates and are cheaper! Far too expensive!
