We have been enjoying coming to “Zum Stromer” for several years now. It's a small fine restaurant. The service is always very friendly, the atmosphere is great and the food is always a delight.

Absolute heart recommendation! It was our first time in the “Zum Stromer” restaurant and it certainly won’t be the last time. The food was a 10/10. We haven't eaten so well in a long time. We had beef medallions and ox cheeks. The portions were large and absolutely everything was delicious. The restaurant is a bit away from the typical tourist hustle and bustle and unfortunately a bit hidden, which is why not everyone notices it but it is definitely worth a visit. The rustic ambience and the super friendly staff alone are worth eating there. We'll definitely be back!!!

One of our favorite restaurants on the coast, a great experience, very attentive service, delicious selection of dishes, so we had a great three-course meal despite arriving late. Many thanks to the great team on site on October 2nd, 2024.

Absolutely recommended and always worth a visit. Everything is just right here. The ambience, the staff and of course the food. Here you can tell that everything is done with passion. The friendly and helpful service staff who always keep an eye on the table and respond quickly if you have a request. The food: a taste experience that you have to try. Both the starters + greetings from the kitchen, main course and dessert. Simply delicious and rarely eaten so deliciously. I can really recommend it to everyone.

Nice little restaurant with two reservation time blocks, the first at 5 p.m. and the second at 7:30 p.m. The service was very nice and attentive. Our choice was fish, field vegetables and a vegetable stir-fry. We started with aioli and bread. Both very tasty, aioli was made on cream cheese cream, very tasty. The food can be served in a reasonable time. Fish on vegetables was very good. The vegetable stir-fry didn't come in the pan, but on the plate. Confusing name. Unfortunately, the field vegetables mainly consisted of onions. Carrots, cabbage and beans had to be looked for. Therefore, an onion pan or, better yet, ziebel plate. Nothing could save the cream side dish and the cold mashed potatoes and that too for a whopping 19 euros! This is definitely better elsewhere. Too bad, not for vegetarians. Here the focus is clearly on meat and fish with correspondingly high prices. Everything should be from the region! That could definitely have been the onions😉

We were at the Stromer for the first time, you come into the guest room and immediately have the feeling of being at home, very pleasant atmosphere, very attentive and friendly service, the food, so if this chef doesn't have at least one star, you wonder who does, very good in taste, very nicely prepared, great restaurant. When we are in Warnemünde, we always stop at the Stromer restaurant. Delicious freshly prepared food, nice staff, what more could you want. Prices are a little higher, but justified. Be sure to reserve in advance as there are only a few seats. In warm weather you can sit on the terrace.

Found it via Google and hit the jackpot. Ambience + service + cuisine simply great. We were all thrilled and will be back. The two times (we were in the second) were also good, so it was quieter, everything was at the table and very clean. Great!

The location has a lot of charm and the cozy and rustic ambience simply invites you to feel good. Although it can be reached quickly by the river, it is away from the usual tourist hustle and bustle of Warnemünde. The food is always delicious and, despite the higher prices, definitely worth the money. The changing menu always has something new to offer and we have never been disappointed here. The service is always very friendly and attentive, without ever being intrusive. In general, one can only give a big recommendation here!

One of the oldest houses in Warnemünde. Great restaurant with a very nice atmosphere. Service very friendly and accommodating - really nice!!! The food was great - there was even greetings from the kitchen and the portions were sufficient, so you don't necessarily have to order another starter! The restaurant is highly recommended!!!! We were recommended the restaurant by friends and are very impressed. Far away from the hustle and bustle of Warnemünde tourists, the restaurant is in a quiet location. It is very tastefully decorated and you immediately feel at home, which is also due to the very friendly reception and service. That evening we decided on the 3-course daily menu and were not disappointed visually or especially in terms of taste. We find the menu price of €54 to be absolutely fair. We will definitely come back next time we are in Warnemünde and can only recommend everyone to eat here. Don't forget to reserve!

We found it very strange and rude for us as customers that we had reserved for 7.30 p.m. and arrived at the restaurant 10 minutes earlier and had to wait outside on wet chairs because there were 2 dinner groups (5-7.30 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.). It seemed like that to me in the youth hotel. The food was very good! A relaxed approach to the guests right from the start would be nice.

The food and service were really excellent. Even all the changes to the reservation that we had to make beforehand were taken into account and implemented without any problems. Just great.

Over the years we have been to 'Stromer' for dinner 6 times. Despite our journey of over 1000 km to a holiday home on the Darss, the 1 hour to Warnemünde at the end of our holiday is always associated with anticipation of the 'Stromer'. A pleasure every time and always friendly staff! But now we noticed that we couldn't get a "real" menu anymore. A QR code or, like our astonished table neighbors, we had to use the tablets provided to make our selection 🤔.... When we asked the staff, we were kindly told that we didn't know what the government was doing and that we were who would rather save 200/300 euros for the cards 😐. Ummmmm???...🙄 Still in the corona bubble???🤔 Or austerity measures in the wrong place!? In my opinion, something like this is not appropriate in such a special and high-quality atmosphere. A beautifully designed menu simply has flair or not? It also occurred to me that more attention should be paid to the mirror and windows when cleaning. The windows could still be opened even in very warm temperatures. Unfortunately these were closed. I think where you lock up, you can probably unlock 😉. Great ambience, rustic/elegant, the restaurant breathes history! The staff was super attentive and very friendly without being intrusive. The food is simply an ode to the taste buds, the meat is buttery tender, the sauce is a very successful composition, the vegetables are tender with just the right crunch. The dessert was a great ending. Price-performance ratio is completely fine. Portion size more than sufficient, we are still completely full 3 hours later Conclusion: Cozy, brilliant food, great staff, an all-round success, always again!!!

We were there for the first time. Had reserved in advance by phone. Because the place is usually sold out. The restaurant is very small and clear. With about 12 tables. Therefore, privacy is not a given. Unless you whisper to the other person. Because of this, we quickly got into conversation with our nice table neighbors. After 10 minutes the waitress came to take our drinks order. When she later brought a small greeting from the kitchen, she realized that she had forgotten to bring our drinks. It just happens given the size of the place. I had the cod. The dish was very nicely prepared. And it was also very tasty. Maybe it was just a coincidence that I got diarrhea after eating. My wife had the ox cheeks. They were also very tasty. But the portion was very manageable. I've gotten larger portions for the price. You have to like the atmosphere of the place. The pictures on the wall in particular are a matter of taste. The service was friendly and attentive. However, the prices are high. But you know that beforehand.

The ox cheeks were tender and the jus was delicious, and the dessert (chocolate cake) was also very, very tasty. Ambience great! We just found the price for an espresso, which you like to drink after a meal, a bit steep.

Last weekend we booked a table for 7:30 p.m. and were there at 7:20 p.m. My husband, who has mobility problems, went into the restaurant and reported to the lady at the counter (all the tables were not yet occupied!) and was very rudely told that we had only ordered at 7:30 p.m. and that he wanted to wait outside. I would have preferred to leave. Regardless, the food and ambience were very appealing and the service staff were politely friendly. Based on the above experience, we will probably look for another location in the future.

A restaurant that there could be more of in Rostock when it comes to atmosphere! Beautiful finishes, beautiful flooring, white tablecloths, candles. I could make out the music. To be honest, I find the pictures on the wall...well, naked women's bodies for food to be at least tasteless and inappropriate. The service was very friendly. Still only 3 stars because I don't think the food is justified for the price. It is very tastefully prepared, the products are good, but the taste is rather ordinary and not surprising. Unfortunately, the entire restaurant tends to fall apart.

The steamed cod dish is a theoretically simple one, which makes it incredibly difficult to conjure up something outstanding here. Everything was right here. Very friendly and competent staff. Great recommendation to choose the daily menu, the pearl barley risotto with the fish was very tasty. But the pasta with shrimp also tasted very good. But you definitely can't do it on the weekend without a table reservation.

We reserved well in advance and had a good meal. The food was tasty, but we were missing some spice. However, the vegetables were cut in a rustic way, only steamed and the mashed sweet potatoes were hardly to be found. We were very disappointed with the dessert. The cream puff with sorbet and chocolate had absolutely nothing to do with “Wölkchen”. Unfortunately, a service staff totally disappointed our expectations in such a higher-priced restaurant. I was supposed to pour myself the spritzer from a 0.5l carafe. When I asked that she kindly do it, I received a disdainful look. Normally, restaurants even pour from small bottles.

Small and fine restaurant on the edge of Warnemünde and outside the hustle and bustle. Ultimately only about 5 minutes from the bridge on the river. Reservations also worked well by email. The restaurant was completely full at 7:30 p.m., so it was perhaps a bit busy at the beginning, but that quickly subsided. Small, fine selection of dishes, but there is something for everyone. You have to know and visit this relatively small and rustic restaurant. The location right on the Alter Strom in Warnemünde is a highlight. The atmosphere invites you to linger. The service is very friendly and helpful. Here the owner still cooks himself. The food and drinks on offer are excellent in taste. You absolutely have to reserve seats.

It was an experience again; the friendly, family welcome; the service is amazing (friendly, competent and considerate) and above all the excellent selection of fresh fish... a dream. Fantastic quaint restaurant with perfect food. But you should also have a well-filled wallet with you. Reservation makes sense. But the food was really divine. The price-performance level is right. Unfortunately, it was stressful today on New Year's Eve and we were pressured to eat so that we could get out on time before the second round.

It wasn't uncomfortable. We had a table for 4 people on a gallery and therefore had a good overview. The starters were good, the main course that followed was very good. Prices are reasonable for the service offered compared to other restaurants in Warnemünde. The service was unacceptable due to latent unfriendliness and "slight" annoyance. The staff's request to bring the bill was like a real sacking. 10 minutes before the end of our "approved" 120 minutes. With a solid 3 courses (approx. EUR 270), a light kick in our well-filled stomachs. It's a shame all in all...

It was incredibly good!!! You should definitely make a reservation. We were completely thrilled, the prices are high, but completely justified. Top service, great ambience, the food is incredibly good 👍 the visit is worth it!

Ein kleines, feines Restaurant! Schöne Atmosphäre und sehr leckeres Essen sowie sehr guter Service , total entspannt!!!

aufgrund guter erfahrungen bei früheren besuchen habe ich im juni 2023 für den oktober eine tischreservierung vorgenommen und damit gleichzeitig einen anfahrtsweg von ca. 220 km eingeplant. nachdem uns der gewünschte tisch zugewiesen wurde, kam gleich die erste überraschung in form der mitteilung, das der koch erkrankt ist. das verbliebene personal entschied sich für die möglichkeit einer eingeschränkten karte mit den "highlights" der letzten wochen. ( die andere alternative wäre die schliessung des restaurants f.d. dauer der erkrankung ..... was nach meiner meinung die bessere entscheidung gewesen wäre !!) von der eingeschränkten menuekarte ( allerdings nicht preissmässig ) haben wir uns für das rindertatar als vorspeise und als hauptgang die fischvariation kabeljau/ heilbutt mit möhren und pink püree entschieden. was uns dann serviert wurde, stellt alles bis dahin genossene in den schatten. das rindertatar ..... mit knoblauch angemacht, die salatbeilage ohne dressing ( öl & essig ) dazugestellt; der sonst so fantastische fisch trocken gebraten, beim heilbutt hatte ich das gefühl, das es eingefrorener fisch war. das gemüse war nicht geniessbar das gesamte essen fade. der service schlecht, nicht annähernd das, was wir bei früheren besuchen erleben durften. in dieser konstellation werden wir zukünftig den stromer meiden und keine empfehlung mehr aussprechen.

Kleines aber feines Restaurant in der Nähe des Alten Stroms. Sehr gut besucht, eine Reservierung ist erforderlich. Der Kabeljau,ob gedünstet oder gebraten war exquisit!!!

100% Weiterempfehlung. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet. Das kleine Lokal ist sehr gemütlich und der Service ausgesprochen freundlich. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Vielen Dank und weiter so!

Tolles Essen, super freundlicher Service, unbedingte Empfehlung

Von außen eher unscheinbar und innen das ganze umgekehrt vom Ambiente sehr harmonisch und das Personal freundlich und ganz auf Service eingestellt. Die zum Essen breit gefächert von Fisch bis Entrecote vom Salat über Suppe und vielerlei mehr. Unsere Wahle das Menü Angebot Pikante Kürbis Linsensuppe als Vorspeise, Hauptspeise Rote Beetekartoffelstampf Lachs und Kabeljau auf der Haut gebraten und als Dessert Mousse chocolate, ein Traum.

Wenn wir in Rostock sind besuchen wir sehr gerne das Restaurant, lecker Essen und sehr freundliches Personal (Katzenliebhaber). Wir freuen uns auf das nächste Mal. LG aus Leipzig

Sehr kleines nettes Restaurant mit einer ausgezeichneten Küche. Die Karte ist klein, aber sehr fein. Alles geschmackvoll zubereitet. Über den Service kann man sich auch nicht beschweren.

Wir waren jetzt innerhalb von einem Jahr das zweite mal während unseres Urlaubs in diesem kleinen hübsch eingerichteten Restaurant. Der Service und die Qualität der Speisen haben innerhalb dieses Jahres nicht nachgelassen. Es war einfach alles perfekt! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und freuen uns bereits auf das nächste mal.

Service is Klasse und herzlich, Ambiente ist romantisch, rustikal und ansprechend.

Bei uns im Norden sagt: "Sehr muemmig gelegen" Willkommen auch Hunde. Einen netten Abend verbracht. Ein dickes Lob an die Bedienung.

Das Restaurant ist besonders was das Essen und das Ambiente angeht. Wir haben das Tagesmenue bestehend aus drei Gängen bestellt (56€) - sehr lecker, gute Portionen und schneller, aufmerksamer Service. Gewöhnungsbedürftig ist, dass es zwei feste Zeiten gibt, zu denen serviert wird (17 und 19:30). Reservierung notwendig.

Wahnsinnig gutes Essen. Ganz eigene Liga in Rostock! Zudem ein wirklich angenehmer Service und super gemütliches Ambiente. Wirklich toll!
