A very nice restaurant by the river in Warnemünde. Very friendly service. Delicious food with excellently prepared fish, super fresh, tasty salads… small special requests are happily accommodated. Entrance for the first round of dinner is at 5 p.m., the second round at 7:30 p.m.… a bit unusual, but fine. Reservations are mandatory during the holiday season.

Six of us spent a very pleasant evening at Stromer. The ambiance is both appealing and cozy. The food was generally very tasty, and the fish was excellently prepared. Unfortunately, the beef wasn't as ordered. We requested medium-well, but it came out rare. I deducted a star for that. The service was exceptionally friendly but seemed rather stressed. Which isn't surprising, given the number of guests. Dinner is served here in two groups (5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.). This is where the star deduction comes from, because it's clearly not possible to serve everyone in a timely manner, despite the service's best efforts. Our main course arrived at 9:30 p.m.

Service: courteous, natural, and friendly (without feeling intrusive) Atmosphere: simply inviting. Food: clear menu (which I really like), very tasty, fresh food, beautifully presented, prices are reasonable. The restaurant is 100% recommended. If you want to eat well in Warnemünde, you should try "Zum Stromer" (but be sure to make a reservation). Thank you so much for the magical stay, we'd love to come back. Two of us stayed at the Stromer and felt very comfortable. The ambiance is cozy and stylish, with beautiful paintings on the walls. The menu was comprehensive and had something for every taste. We had beef carpaccio and fish soup for starters, and ox cheeks and pollock for main courses. All the dishes were delicious and perfectly cooked. For my part, the first course could be a bit smaller if the guest had ordered a main course afterward. The service was very friendly and accommodating; we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would gladly return.

A wonderful place to linger and enjoy, away from the hustle and bustle of the Alter Strom. There was nothing, absolutely nothing, to complain about. The super friendly and competent waitresses and the kitchen team did a fantastic job. The food was top-notch… with the magnificent fish soup standing out even more. The wine pairing was perfect. The price/performance ratio is absolutely perfect! A top address in Warnemünde! PS: Since there are two opening times (5:00 PM and 7:30 PM), it is advisable to either make a reservation or be there during these times for a truly enjoyable experience!

We've been coming to the Stromer for at least nine or ten years, and we fell in love with it instantly. The food is always exceptional and delights the palate. If you spend three days in Warnemünde, two dinners here are a must. The service is always friendly and welcoming. And whether you choose the daily specials or the à la carte menu, you're never disappointed and always go home very happy.

The ambiance was a good mix between a fisherman's hut and a Michelin-starred restaurant. It was quite warm inside, though. Please note: There are only two time slots for reservations: 5:00 PM and 7:30 PM. The restaurant is closed before 5:00 PM and between 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM.

The food is simply an ode to the taste buds, the meat is buttery tender, the sauce is a very successful composition, the vegetables are tender with just the right crunch. The dessert was a great ending. Price-performance ratio is completely fine. Portion size more than sufficient, we are still completely full 3 hours later Conclusion: Cozy, brilliant food, great staff, an all-round success, always again!!!

We loved the meal and the hospitality at this restaurant in a traditional style house next to the river.They serve at 5pm and then 730pm and we had to book the day before. My husband had fish soup, then a duo of different fish while I had the king prawns in a lovely spicy tomato sauce. The service was great and I was very impressed with the ambience as well. It felt like it fitted the house and the area. I wish we had room for dessert ! It was really nice to have the whole menu in English and the server also helped us in English which was more relaxing for us. There was a range of other dishes aprt from fish, and a good wine list. This place deserves the good reviews. Thank you for a lovely meal.

We love coming to your lovely "Strohmer." On Friday, we had a young, very friendly, and attentive waitress. The food was excellent again, albeit a bit more expensive. We'll be back.

A lovingly run restaurant. There are two servings per evening, for which reservations are recommended. A changing daily special with set menu options is available. Art supplies were provided for the children. The dining room is very cozy, with outdoor seating available. A big compliment to the attentive waiters! The food and drinks were excellent.

We had a lovely table outside, and the ambiance and service were simply top-notch! A fine menu and delicious daily specials. It was a truly successful and enjoyable evening. We'd love to come back – our dog felt very comfortable too.

Excellent cuisine, and I highly recommend the daily specials. An absolute must-visit in Warnemünde. The fish is truly fresh, and the side salad tastes as if it came fresh from the garden. For the quality and service, the prices are very reasonable, if not exactly cheap. We visited again with our daughter and grandmother, and they provided pens and paper. They also served the pirate plate, a plate with mashed potatoes, a tomato, and some salad. This way, my daughter was able to try a bit of everything and also had her own side dishes. For me, the Restaurant zum Stromer is the best restaurant along the German Baltic coast. I highly recommend it!

We've been there twice already. The service is very attentive, and every request is catered to. We met three waitresses, and all three were very welcoming in their own way, always on hand to accommodate any requests. It's a small, idyllic restaurant that makes you feel immediately at home. A wonderful, perfect, culinary experience that we'll still be raving about days and weeks later. Sensational food, lovingly and modernly presented, and absolutely star-worthy – Michelin Guide, why haven't you been here yet?! It definitely couldn't be better, and at an absolutely fair price! Plus, unique and fantastic service, the likes of which we've never experienced before. We were accompanied throughout the evening by a charming acting student from Berlin, whose warm, welcoming manner was like winning the lottery for the "Stromer." We're from Nuremberg and, as we have in the past, will continue to visit the Stromer every time we're on the Baltic Sea in MVP.

Highly recommended for lovers of fine dining. The dishes are of high quality, so the high price is justified. However, we found the drinks a bit overpriced. We recommend the garlic shrimp, ox cheeks, and oven-roasted salmon. The restaurant also scores highly with its very attentive service. The interior was a bit too dark for our taste, but overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

It was our first time there. The food was delicious and I highly recommend it.

I was at the restaurant on June 8, 2025, and thought long and hard about whether to name the incident. However, since I find it so outrageous, I must describe what happened. My girlfriend and I were spending a so-called girls' weekend in Warnemünde. Since my girlfriend attaches great importance to eating at the "right" restaurant, she called several places to reserve a table and unfortunately couldn't get through. On June 8, 2025, she received a call from the restaurant saying that a table for two people was still available. So we arrived at 7:30 p.m. and, like everyone else who received an appointment at that time, couldn't even enter until around 10:36 a.m. We were then greeted with the words: "Oh, you're the one I called today. Unfortunately, I only have this way to go." We sat right at the entrance, right in the passageway to the other tables. Since the restaurant had been empty before, all tables had to be served at the same time. Two women were responsible for this. Eventually we were served and the day's specials were recited to us. We had already noticed that this was done at every table, even though the daily specials were written in large letters on a very large board on the wall for everyone to see. We listened anyway. Otherwise there was no menu, just a code on the table that you could scan to see the menu. We were asked, however, whether we needed a tray to have the menu presented to us, which we confirmed. I then asked the older of the two employees out of compassion, because we had already heard her presenting the daily specials at all the other tables, whether she already had fringes around her mouth. As I said, I asked this out of compassion and to lighten the mood when all the restaurant guests have appointments at the same time, have to be served at the same time, and the restaurant is filling up at the same time. Before, it was empty and everyone was already waiting outside in the storm. Then we ordered. More on that in the next entry...

A great little restaurant. Very nice ambiance and delicious food. We can highly recommend it! The service was very friendly and accommodating. Since all the guests change at the same time for dinner and are then served, we had to wait a bit for our drinks, but it was almost negligible. We'd be happy to come back!

Best fish restaurant in Rostock! I visited this great restaurant for both business and pleasure in quick succession. The ambiance and overall cozy atmosphere create a perfect atmosphere. The service is very attentive and professional. I have to highlight the "Pasta with Shrimp"; it tastes absolutely amazing. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a recommendation for a nice visit.

We had reserved a table at the restaurant for a birthday dinner. Admission for the second service was prompt at 7:30 p.m. There was a daily menu with several options, and there was also the option of à la carte. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive to the guests, without being pretentious or over the top. We chose the daily menu for €58. The food, from the first bite to the dessert, was very tastefully presented and tasted excellent. The entire ambiance exudes a feel-good atmosphere as soon as you enter the restaurant. For guests who don't want a cafeteria atmosphere or fast-food delivery, this is exactly the right place. We can 100% recommend this restaurant and thank you for a successful evening.

Went there for dinner yesterday with a friend, unfortunately our third person was ill. The friendly waitress commented on this with “a shame, but no problem” and the third place setting was cleared away again. Both waitresses were very nice and perhaps "too" attentive, the food was very tasty. Not cheap in terms of price, but the price-performance ratio is completely fine. For a nice evening, a great atmosphere in a very cozy restaurant. The concept with the two fixed time slots takes some getting used to, especially because it's closed from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., so it's better to make a reservation and, above all, be on time. We had already sat outside in the summer, but there weren't any seats there yesterday. We've been happy to come back for years!
