Hello, last night we were at Restaurant Seidl with 38 acquaintances and friends. A very good friend invited us to her birthday. There were 2 large bottles of water on each table, perfect for the weather. Then the buffet opened. Since our friend had given the boss free rein except for a few small things, we were excited to see what he had come up with. We weren't disappointed, there were so many different delicious things. I didn't hear anyone in the restaurant say anything negative about the food. During the entire stay the waitresses were super friendly and quick. Because of this evening we will definitely come back.

Thanks to the Seidl family. Both very sweet. Kind of like Grandma's in the living room. We liked it very much. Food was great. Really a big portion. Freshly tapped wheat. Delicious. My girls were also very happy. See you next time. Keep it up👍🏻🍻

The portions are very manageable. Someone who is really hungry will not be full. Schnitzel with fries for €17.90. Two schnitzels with a diameter of approx. 8-10cm and almost burnt. The owner stands behind the counter and makes a grumpy impression, but he is only nice to regular customers. Too bad

Furnishings a bit dated. Service friendly. The food is good. Prices, however, are not cheap. The parking lot next door is huge, but you should be careful where you park. Endless puddles.

My review is not meant to be bad, rather I would like to inform you about my experience and encourage you to think about the points written below and improve something here and there I was there on a Sunday afternoon. After asking where I could sit down, I was told that there were enough seats available in the room and that I could choose a spot, which I did. There really wasn't much going on. I was alone with a couple in the large room. The furniture, the room, etc. are getting old, but are well maintained and clean. After about 5 minutes the waiter came and asked me if I had made a reservation. So no “good day”. I told him that it was a spontaneous decision of mine to eat here and I was told that I could choose a place. He informed me that it is customary to make a reservation. I said that I know and can understand it in upscale restaurants and at certain times, but less so in normal restaurants and pubs at this time. He said it was the same with all the other restaurants in the area. I wasn't in the mood for further discussion because I was looking forward to a delicious home-style meal. I just thought that since I know most of the restaurants and pubs in the area, he should definitely find out more. Furthermore, I have been to the Seidel car park on different days and at different times over the last few years and could still have easily accommodated a football team ;-). And if there is no space left, you go and look for another restaurant. The selection of restaurants, etc. is currently very large. So it's not a problem to find somewhere to eat. So I ordered a drink The waiter noted my request and asked what I would like to eat. I looked at him questioningly and said I couldn't say that yet because he hadn't handed me a menu yet. This came promptly. I ordered roulade with boiled potatoes, sauce and red cabbage, as did a person at the next table. Sounded good and looked good there too. I was really looking forward to it because I hadn't eaten that in a long time. I got the food. Unfortunately, the roulade was cold inside, the potatoes, which were arranged neatly, about 1.5 pieces to 2 pieces, were completely cooked through, i.e. just before the puree stage. In terms of taste, the sauce and the red cabbage were purely industrial products. For me everything was careless and prepared with disinterest. This was also shown by the drops of sauce, etc. on the edge of the plate. Tip: You can also refine or enhance industrial products with ingredients and little effort. Please just have the courage to experiment. I ate everything, even though I was very disappointed with the food and would have preferred to return it. But my politeness, respect and the thought of food waste forbade me to do so. By the way, I paid 17.80 euros for the roulade, sauce, potatoes and red cabbage (photo). In my opinion it's a careless compilation and totally excessive given this industrial quality. My request: Especially now that we have so much choice of restaurants, pubs, etc., you should try harder to develop a love of cooking and a love of preparing menus. Of course, this also means that drops of sauce, etc. are removed from the edge of the plate before serving. By the way, I waited over a day before writing my review so that I could write it with some distance. I would be very happy if you would take up my suggestions and perhaps implement them so that I can leave your restaurant happy on my next visit and give you more stars. Beautiful, old-fashioned restaurant that you don't often find in our region today. If you would like to eat home-style German cuisine, this is the place for you. Delicious food without the usual frills. And the service, although not there long, was competent and friendly. If she couldn't answer a question straight away, she figured it out very quickly. All in all a lovely evening that was worth coming from Essen for.

Very good German cuisine, the two of us came in without registering, polite, friendly service.

The ambience may not be the best, but the rest is a real insider tip! There were four of us in the restaurant. Everything that was there tasted simply excellent! You ask yourself, how can you charge so little money for such good quality food!

Why is there no parking garage here, just a parking lot? - The name of the really recommended (quaint!) restaurant refers to the castle / palace park! Very nice (very rustic) staff and top food. Card payment is also possible.

Klassentreffen dort gefeiert. Eigenen Raum dafür gehabt, Service sehr gut, Essen sehr lecker

Ein richtig gutes Restaurant. Klassische deutsche Küche, super lecker. Preise total im Rahmen im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Restaurants. Im Durchschnitt 3 € günstiger. Super Qualität und sehr lecker. Sauerbraten ist der Knaller. Besuch lohnt sich jederzeit. Ein Familienunternehmen das wirklich keine Wünsche offen läßt.

Alter Familienbetrieb mit gut Bürgerlicher Küche. Die Karte gibt eigentlich für jeden etwas her. Das Lokal, vorallem aber die Toiletten, könnten doch mal eine Renovierung gebrauchen.

Man fühlt sich sehr wohl, sehr aufmerksame Bedienung . Rundum perfekt.

Gut bürgerliches Lokal, von der Ausstattung her ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Sehr netter Service, sehr gutes Essen, deutsche Küche auch mit Rolladen und Sauerbraten. Preis-Leistung in Ordnung, wir kommen wieder.

Das Essen war sehr gut, der Service aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Einrichtung ist schon in die Jahre gekommen, jedoch sauber und gepflegt. Einen großen Parkplatz gibt's direkt nebenan. Wir werden wiederkommen.

Die Speisen "4 Personen" waren alle sehr lecker. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam und hatte immer einen Spaß drauf. Typisch Bergische Atmosphäre.

Nettes Restaurant mit guter bürgerliche Küche, das Personal ist sehr nett und aufmerksam ,Wünsche werden erfüllt ,Essen ist reichlich, und schmeckt auch gut, Parken ist ok, es fehlt allerdings ein Behindertenparkplatz vor der Tür, meist ist dort alles besetzt, sodaß man auf dem grossen Parkplatz ausweichen muss, was bei Regen zur Herausforderung wird, Personal hilft aber, wenn man mit Rollstuhl kommt, Rampe ist ebenfalls vorhanden, schon regelmässig gute Erfahrung gemacht wir sind seitdem öfters zum Essen dort
