We ate there a week ago with 14 people, and the food was delicious. The service was excellent, and I would definitely recommend it.

Saturday evening, we found ourselves standing in front of a locked door, no information on the website, no note on the door... what a pity!!!

The restaurant takes you back to the 90s. The food and service is quite good and in the summer you can sit outside.

It seems a bit out of date... a place where you feel at home... really delicious, handmade food. Many of the regulars feel at home here. It was my first time here and I'll be happy to come back. I had a bacon pancake, which was exceptionally delicious.

Very tasty, very friendly. The atmosphere was like a time capsule from the '80s. I really enjoyed it, but I'm also a child of the '80s.

If you like rustic, dusty cuisine with heart, this is the place for you. A bit bizarre but with charm.

The ambience is very nice and you have the feeling that time has stood still there. However, in the evening we waited about 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food, which tasted quite good, but wasn't a 10/10 either. The service is very friendly and accommodating.

We sat outside in the garden with a beautiful sunset and enjoyed some delicious food. The pork steak with wild mushrooms and fried potatoes, accompanied by a delicious mixed salad like mothers used to make, was beautifully prepared and super tasty. We would love to come back. Unfortunately, the food looked so delicious that we immediately started eating and forgot to take a photo.

If you go out for a home-style meal, you don't expect star cuisine. In Wilhelmshöhe you can get honest home cooking at a fair price. You can enjoy good food here in a cozy beer garden in wonderful, rural surroundings. The particularly friendly young woman who served us carried out the service with great calm. This leisureliness contributes to a relaxed evening. However, a faster pace would increase beverage sales. As a Langenberger, I am happy to have discovered this great restaurant nearby and will now come regularly and recommend it to others in our village. I would like to thank the operators for the lovely evening and the good food.

We would come back just because of the delicious mettwurst/bacon pancake, the Hawaiian toast and the friendly service. But not because of the ambience in the garden or the somewhat run-down entrance area (inside and outside). But that can be remedied or overlooked if you know that the food is right. Now you know 😉😁👍

Unfortunately a disappointment. The food was beautifully prepared but unfortunately I got a nail in my schnitzel when I cut it. Hygiene is probably very important here!

Nice location, with room rental and beer garden, nice landlord and his employees and good home cooking. Menu, sometimes with something special, for example. B. Chanterelles - not from... - but hand-picked. Always my pleasure

Es schmeckt mir immer sehr gut dort. Was mich besonders freut, ist das familiäre. Der Wirt, welcher auch selbst kocht, kümmert sich auch immer noch persönlich um seine Gäste. Und oft schmeißt er noch ne Runde Schnäpschen.

Alte Bergische Gaststätte. Gemütliches Ambiente, wirkt aus der Zeit gefallen. Der Wirt ist einmalig, das Essen deftig bürgerlich. Immer wieder ein Erlebnis. Die längere Anfahrt lohnt sich sehr.

Das gut bürgerliche Essen ist ganz hervorragend - der Wirt ne Ikone.

Zeitreise in die Siebziger: Leckeres Essen wie von meiner Oma, man fühlt sich direkt an sonntägliche Mittagessen erinnert. Dazu in einer gemütlichen Einrichtung, welche noch älter zu sein scheint. Wir werden nicht das letzte Mal hier gewesen sein. 👍🏻😉

Das Essen war sehr lecker und wurde auch heiß serviert. Vom Ambiente her kam ich mir in die 70er Jahre zurückversetzt vor. Das kann man mögen, muss es aber nicht. Das Personal wirkte etwas unflexibel, letztlich wurden aber auch Sonderwünsche zur Zufriedenheit bedient. Hunde sind auch willkommen und werden mit Wasser versorgt.

Sehr gutes Essen aber Ambiente aus den 70ziger Jahren. Sogar das Kinderkarussel war noch da wo ich als Kind runter geflogen bin

Essen gut bürgerlich, ausreichende Portionen und netter Service. Das Restaurant ist aber sehr in die Jahre gekommen und nichts fürs Auge.

Hausmannskost im urigen Hinterhof. Als Gag laufen Hühner frei herum. Ist mal etwas anderes in dem Großstadtleben.

Man sitzt im schönen Garten unterm Kastanienbaum bei traditionellen Gerichten in sehr guter Qualität. Vorsichtshalber vorher anrufen.

Seit langem mal wieder ein sehr gutes Schnitzel gegessen und ein gepflegtes Pils getrunken.

Die urige Atmosphäre und das sehr,sehr leckere Schnitzel lohnen sich für ein Besuch in der Wilhelmshöhe. Uns hat es sehr gut geschmeckt und wir kommen gerne wieder.

Das Essen war okay, für den großen Hunger, der Salat war klasse! Aber Ambiente Fehlanzeige.

Der Aussenbereich, im Sommer einfach super, Schatten durch riesige Kastanien, Sonne an mehreren Stellen. Und die tolle Aussicht über Essen. Sogar die Schalke Arena kann man sehen. Und das Essen ist exzellent, lecker, es gibt sogar Russische Eier. Lecker.

Ist mir sehr gut bekannt, schon viele feste gefeiert und machen sehr gutes Essen. In der Nähe bin ich auch aufgewachsen.

Etwas abgelegen zwischen Velbert und Velbert-Nierenhof liegt die Gaststätte Zur Wilhelmshöhe. Die Karte ist Gutbürgerlich und das Essen wird stets frisch zubereitet. Die Atmosphäre der Gaststätte ist am besten mit Ruhrpottkneipencharme zu beschreiben, da das Mobiliar und die Ausstattung irgendwo in den 70ern zurückgeblieben ist, was aber durchaus einen gewissen Reiz und Charme hat. Freundliche Bedienung wird hier groß geschrieben, man fühlt sich gleich in den Kreis der Familie bzw. Stammgäste aufgenommen.
