Attentive Franconian hospitality despite the very busy restaurant. If you are passing through on the A9, you are welcome to take a break here. You can always find a place and eat delicious food (Franconian cuisine).

Very good hotel with modern and chic rooms. Staff is also top. We would love to come back 👍

Luckily we had reservations. It was well filled but still went very quickly. The Schäufele was the best thing I have eaten so far. The sauce could use a bit more bang. She was a little too sober. Still, everything is very good. The apple cakes are a large portion with fruit, fruit and a scoop of ice cream. But also highly recommended. And the most beautiful. The young man in service was really keen on what he was doing there. Nowadays, good service staff (lucky charms 😅) are very rare, but in addition to the really good food, you also feel very comfortable here.

The breakfast for the Fränkischer Hof is very clear.

We were here for dinner on the way through. When it was already a bit full, we met a very friendly and courteous hostess who went out of her way. The food was also very good, we had roast pork and Schäufele and everyone enjoyed it very much. It's nice to take a detour from the highway on the way home

In contrast to the other restaurants in Pegnitz, there is still Franconian cuisine here.

I ate a salad with Camembert wedges here and was very satisfied. The salad was large and really tasty - I filled myself up well. The selection of vegetarian dishes at lunchtime is okay, but could be a little larger. Particularly noteworthy is the very nice and fast service. Overall, a lovely experience and we will definitely be back!

Super great food at a good price.

We spontaneously passed this restaurant while traveling through. The specialist staff were extremely friendly and tried with a funny charm to accommodate us successfully. The food was delicious and, in my opinion, the price-performance ratio was unbeatable. Always my pleasure. Warm greetings from the Baltic Sea :-)

Top tip in Pegnitz. Nice restaurant with a nice sun terrace. The service is friendly and quick. Excellent Franconian cuisine is served. Always happy again.

Delicious home-style food at reasonable prices. The restaurant was very busy, which usually indicates good quality. Both the dining room and the sanitary facilities are very clean. The only point of criticism: the service seems rather haphazard. I had to wait 30 minutes for each drink order. Other tables also had the same problem. Otherwise, the restaurant is highly recommended.

Great restaurant with beautiful indoor and outdoor areas. Friendly staff and a varied menu. The delicious tarte flambées, such as the Vitale, which can be seen in the photo, are highly recommended.

Good home-style, delicious food and very attentive service. The ambience could be a little more appealing in the back room, but fortunately that doesn't change the taste of the food.

The young waitress was rude and negative. She did want to seat me and my husband and she threw a to go box on the table and walked off! Her mother is the owner and did not listen to my concerns.

We celebrated our dream wedding in the restaurant “Zum Geyer” on June 22nd, 2024. From the preparations to the service and the evening buffet followed by the celebration, we were completely satisfied. We festively decorated the large hall with the support of the service team and is perfect for all kinds of celebrations. Overall great organization, support and friendliness! I have eaten at Markus Geyer's many times. There has never been anything to complain about. At least not since moving to the new premises. The food is very good and individual requests are almost always implemented. It's neat and clean. You should definitely make a reservation, especially on weekends and during Flinder times. The service is always at eye level with the guest. Whether upscale or a little more relaxed. The selection of spirits is also really great.

We just wanted to fill up in Pegnitz and spontaneously had dinner there. The two tarte flambées are delicious and bigger than expected.

Great, uncomplicated restaurant that we almost always take with us when traveling from east to south. Very fair prices for reasonable dishes, friendly service & usually short waiting times. We have always been satisfied so far. Keep it up

Asparagus cordon bleu. Just awesome.

Despite our promise, our celebration was broken up prematurely by the staff. Our waitress was unfriendly and seemed annoyed 2 hours before the promised end. That was a shame, but we still had a lovely wedding.

Free parking spaces available. The food tasted excellent, but the atmosphere spoiled my enjoyment. There was visible mold on the windows and on the wall. There was no heating in the restaurant, it was very cold, so I had to wear my jacket inside. I had to wait forever for the food, we're talking about a 2.5 hour wait. The Aperol cost 8 euros. In general, the dishes are too expensive. The waitresses were nice, but overwhelmed with a larger number of people. I think for small groups the waiting time definitely shouldn't be that long, but you should prepare for it if you know that a larger group of guests has registered. Pre-orders were lost, so in some cases you could no longer order an appetizer. After having to wait so long for my main course, I was not allowed to order dessert because the kitchen was already closed.

We were there for dinner with a small group on Sunday March 10, 2024. The food was great and we all enjoyed it. There were a few difficulties when paying because the cash register went on strike. But because we are friendly guests, we calculated our bill ourselves and handed the money to the waitress, and in the meantime she had the time to serve the other guests. She was a little surprised that we did that, but she thanked us very much. We were happy to do so with such friendly service. We'll definitely come back

Seen the dangers of Pegnitz and the Geyer (I was hungry). The friendly staff assigned us a seat and immediately brought the drinks we ordered. The food came a little later, unfortunately it was only lukewarm. (plate warmer)? It's a shame, but we'll definitely try again...

We were on the highway and didn't feel like eating at the rest stops. We ended up in Geyer via Google. We were absolutely thrilled with the food. The Cordon Bleu is highly recommended.

We reserved on October 27th. a table for the 5 of us plus the dog. The table next to the kitchen wasn't ideal, but it was spacious and close to the counter, which also had advantages! The waitresses were so attentive and kind and positive right from the start, we felt warmly welcomed, water for our muffin came without asking! 5 people, 5 different meals: schnitzel, Schäufele, knuckle, gnocchi and something else... everything was excellently crafted, tasty, generously portioned, fresh and... inexpensive even by Franconian standards! We were very very satisfied. When paying we mentioned this satisfaction and that we were so disappointed to find our beloved Zaussenmühle closed! We were then informed that the new owner of the Franconian farm was the ex-operator of the Zaussenmühle😜 Very clear purchase recommendation and our new/old favorite in Pegnitz

Bratwurst Suppe als Vorspeise und das Monatsangebot im Oktober: Weißwurst Cordon Bleu, gefüllt mit süßem Senf, Weißwürsten, Blauschimmelkäse in Brezenpanade mit Bratkartoffeln. Das war ein Geschmackserlebnis!

Wir haben den Geyer zufällig auf dem Rückweg nach Dresden gefunden bzw. bei Maps gefunden, angerufen und glücklicherweise noch für 8 Personen einen Tisch fur bereits 1,5h später (Sonntag Abend 18:30 Uhr) bekommen. Eine gemütliche, fränkische Wirtschaft mit leckerer Hausmannskost zu normalen Preisen, wie man es aus dem Freistaat gewohnt ist. Dazu eine nette Bedienung und allgemein eine Atmosphäre, in der man sich wie zu Hause fühlte! Vielleicht schraubt ihr den Preis für die Flasche Wasser noch etwas runter, ansonsten gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Mein Schäufele war der Knaller, auch die essen der anderen sahen aus, wie sie geschmeckt haben: Klasse! Wenns passt kommen wir wieder vorbei.

Sehr gutes Restaurant. Liebe und zuvorkommende Bedienung, schöne Atmosphäre. Das American Cordon Bleu und das Geyer Pilzpfännchen sind absolut zu empfehlen. Auch der Nachtisch war ein Träumchen. Große Portionen, stilvoll angerichtet. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Hi! War hier zusammen mit meiner Mutter zum Essen. Meine Mutter hat sich einen Hax'n bestellt und ich ein Weihnachts Cordon Bleu. Meiner Mutter hat es sehr geschmeckt. Ich hatte das seit Jahren beste Cordon Bleu. Das Essen war MEGA 🤩 Die Bedienung was zugleich die Chefin war, war sehr freundlich und sympathisch. Preis/Leistung ist Top! Was will man daher mehr. Ich komme sicher wieder. Muss noch das American Cordon Bleu probieren. Daher gibt's in allen Bereichen von mir 5 Sterne 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Antwort für den Inhaber: Da fühle ich mich aber geehrt!
