As we have for decades, we went to the Boadwirt restaurant again on Saturday. After eating two half-chickens, we got terrible food poisoning! We have always praised the excellent food and have always been satisfied. We even recommended the restaurant to vacationers and friends! We will no longer do so and will never set foot in the restaurant again. Since our health is important to us, we will be eating elsewhere in the future!

A restaurant located directly on the lake with delicious food. A small but good menu, including vegetarian dishes, is also available. A special menu for seniors and children is also available. The food was excellent. We'll be back.

A quaint restaurant with a fishing-themed interior and covered and open-air seating, right on the lake. Suitable for all budgets, with small plates available, and larger dishes available as senior plates. The only thing missing!? For those with a sweet tooth: desserts. A very good drinks menu and plenty of children's dishes. The service is absolutely top-notch. Yesterday, as cyclists outside, we were served extremely friendly, with our own excellent suggestions... just like today, when we arrived at a packed restaurant, they still found space for us and once again demonstrated absolute skill and friendliness. Unfortunately, it's just average. Prices are high, but still okay. My zander was a bit dry, unfortunately. The portions are filling, and the service was friendly. A major drawback is that there are hardly any vegetarian dishes.

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner on Saturday evening and, with a bit of luck, managed to get a seat on the terrace. The service is good, and the ambiance with its view of the lake is unique. The food is unspectacular, simple, and down-to-earth, but still good and very filling.

It was perfect. Great food, great service, and a great location with a fantastic view! Overall, the campsite at Wagingersee was very nice. I highly recommend it.

We were there today with the whole family. Service was very fast and friendly. Drinks arrived quickly, as did the food. Prices were slightly higher, but the portions were very generous, so 5 stars anyway. We'll be happy to return.

We made a reservation, as is often written here. It was a good thing. We then entered the restaurant and waited for a server to show us to our seats. A few people walked past and didn't get any attention. Until, after a few minutes, we checked that the reservations were written on the tables and that we were expected to sit down at the designated table ourselves. I have no idea if that was right, so after 15 minutes we did it standing around in the area. Seating outside on the terrace, well done, nice, you feel comfortable even if it was to be expected that it would be noisy because of the lido. But it was bearable. The food was incredibly delicious. I particularly recommend the venison ragout with bread dumplings, as shown in the photo. My girlfriend would have preferred a few more croquettes instead of so much pork fillet.

Perfect value for money. We stayed there for a week and dined three times. The children's portions are the perfect size for them. One of the things we would love to take home with us after our vacation is this restaurant. The food is incredibly delicious and highly recommended. We ate everything on the menu. There's no long wait. The service is fast and super friendly. Simply fantastic.

A very nice restaurant between Lake Waginger and Lake Taching. The food is delicious, and the portions are filling. Unfortunately, the waitress forgot to leave one of our four meals in the kitchen, so I had to go and get it by myself. It's a shame, otherwise it would have been a full 5 stars.

My husband had grilled chicken with fries. The waitress was immediately aware of the gluten-free/celiac requirement and was able to confirm that the dish was gluten-free. The fries are prepared in a dedicated fryer. The food was absolutely delicious. You can sit outside right by the lake, and it's also cozy inside. A great stop for cyclists cycling around the lake.

Great for families! I stopped by for lunch today with my two boys (3 & 4 years old). We ordered two kids' portions of spaetzle for €4.50 each – the portions were really large, very appetizingly presented, delicious, and even came with a surprise lollipop for the boys 😍 Unbeatable value! We were very pleased with the attentive, family-friendly service!

Super delicious food at absolutely reasonable prices. A fantastic location with a view of the lake. The service was super nice and friendly. BUT:... No offense, but a currywurst with not a gram of curry on it and instead a paprika sauce like you'd normally find on a gypsy schnitzel wasn't really my thing.

The food was very good, and the atmosphere was lovely, right by the lake (we sat outside). On the day we visited, it was very busy, and the waiters were understandably overwhelmed. We had to wait quite a while for drinks and food. It wasn't easy with a small child at the table. But the taste was perfectly fine!

Fantastic lake and Alpine views on the terrace with plenty of spaces and free parking at the entrance to the campsite. Nice places inside too, but we just preferred to sit by the water in this weather. Salad plate with fried chicken and pork loin with vegetables very tasty, nothing overcooked, great dressing. Large portions with really good value for money, fast friendly service, what more could you want... (A “spoiled” Munich resident)

I would only recommend the restaurant to a limited extent. Unfortunately the meal took a very long time. The service staff was understaffed. The food was ok (burger with frozen patty). The price-performance ratio (considering the current situation in gastronomy in general) is just proportionate. In the summer when the pool is open you can get something to eat there. I wouldn’t come to “eat out” again.

At short notice, due to a change in plans for our club outing, we asked an hour in advance whether 40 people could arrive for dinner. Everything worked out perfectly. Waiters probably don't need to take an order. After half an hour we got tired of it after many other people who came after us were served and we were completely ignored. We've been to you many times but unfortunately the service has gotten worse and worse and now you're apparently not being served at all anymore, so that's it.

There are many opportunities to stop off there. Be it, for example, because you are cycling, during or after swimming on site, etc. There are also, for example, large/small fries or ice cream to take away so that you can eat them outside on the lawn by the lake.

We were there with 4 people and we all had a schnitzel and were all thrilled with the food. We stated when making the reservation that we have two dogs. Unfortunately the space was a bit tight. But it worked.

Setting and price are right Update after 5 years: Everything was delicious, the scenery was great, the price had risen significantly like everywhere else

Had wonderful evenings there, now everything is ok, the food is ok, the service is ok, but with the feeling that the guest is disturbing, at 9.59 it is really closed and the employees give the impression that it would be better if it were would end at 9:30 p.m.

Wir waren zum wiederholten Male am Campingplatz in Waging. Leider war dieses Mal das Wetter total beschissen, was dazu führte das wir uns, anstatt zu grillen, eine Möglichkeit zum Essen gehen suchten. So sind wir dann auf den „Boadwirt“ gestoßen. Das Essen war super, schöne große Portionen für einen noch fairen Preis. Die Bedienung war freundlich und das Lokal stimmig. Wir können daher manche negative Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Wer in Bayern zum Essen geht, der will einen Schweinsbraten mit Knödel , einfache traditionelle Küche und keine „Schickimicki“ Pinzettenküche wo die Teller größer sind als die Speisen. Macht weiter so! Wir kommen wieder👍

Nice restaurant with a great terrace right on the lake. Generous portions, we had schnitzel, children's schnitzel and salad plates with baked feta, all very tasty and sufficient. The staff was consistently friendly, accommodating and nice to the children. A special highlight for the children is the playground next door with a beach on the lake. Overall, highly recommended!

We have been to this restaurant several times, but unfortunately our stopover on the bike tour today was very unpleasant. First of all, it should be said that the portions are still very large and the location of the restaurant is also great. I felt like a currywurst, which I ordered. I got a currywurst with letsch sauce was poured over and the fries were also in it. I brought this up immediately, but was then told that this is typical in Bavaria. I bet the sauce for the gypsy schnitzel is the same. I was not offered any other alternative. And it wasn't the first time I ordered currywurst with fries...!!! But I didn't know this variation yet! I gave it back after I ate the top fries and even then there was no response. So unfortunately very disappointing today 😔 By the way, I'm Bavarian...

Highly recommended...great terrace with a beautiful panorama of the lake and the Alps... Service top...the two girls are quick and very friendly. The food was terrific... visually beautifully presented... taste first class and huge portions... which was also confirmed by the plates at the neighboring tables👍 If we ever find ourselves in zDenhausen again, then there is no way around this place👍👍👍

Wir hatten am Anreisetag leider nicht reserviert, man hat uns aber trotzdem einen schönen Platz auf der Terrasse zugewiesen. Es war recht voll und auch recht laut. Der Blick tagsüber über den See ist sehr schön, Nachts bekommt man nicht mehr ganz so viel davon mit. Leider sind die Holzbänke etwas unbequem. Der Service hat etwas gebraucht, da wir zur Hauptessenszeit dort waren. Das Essen kam dann aber recht schnell und war sehr lecker. Schweinebraten in dunkler Sauce mit einem grossen Knödel, dazu Salat. Dazu ein leckeres Bier. Leider war es draussen etwas zugig und nicht ganz so zum Verweilen geeignet. Wir wären gerne drinnen gesessen, da hätte man dann aber reservieren müssen. Da wir gelaufen sind, hätte sich reservieren eh angeboten. Parkplätze direkt vorm Haus sind oft belegt, ich glaube man musste auch dafür bezahlen, da das Strandbad nebenan war. Gegenüber der Brücke sind aber noch einige Parkplätze gewesen, die aber wohl tagsüber für den Bootsverleih gedacht zu sein scheinen. Schönes Ausflugslokal, kann aber gut voll werden. Preislich völlig okay. Gerne wieder.

The food has been great for years, the price-performance ratio is very good, you can still get your fill here. The ambience isn't quite as comfortable if you have to sit inside, but it's very nice on the terrace in the summer.
