Restaurant Zorbas in Bad Zwischenahn

Four of us were there with a reservation, were warmly welcomed and shown to the table. The choice of food is very good and our dishes tasted very good. The service is attentive and quick, even though the restaurant was fully booked. The price-performance ratio is good. So all in all very good.

I was there yesterday. They must have enough money or they didn't like me. wanted to order food and asked if I could get Güros at stad Huhn, yes, she said, but any rebooking would be charged 2.50 euros. Am I stupid? So off to the Oldenburg farm where the guest is still king 👑

We had a delicious meal there and were served in a friendly manner. Price performance is appropriate. No problem with children either.

My companion and I were not satisfied at all. The gyro was rubbery and the bifteki was made of fatty pork (mett?) with an undefinable cheese filling (no feta). When the waitress cleared away the still full plates and asked how satisfied we were, we commented accordingly, whereupon she disappeared with the plates without comment. Neither she nor her colleague complied with our request for payment. After waiting at least 35 minutes, we got up when a waiter rushed over and said he couldn't smell that we wanted to pay. He didn't respond at all to our statement that we had already asked for payment three times. Conclusion: This store will definitely never see us again!

If you are looking for authentic Greek cuisine, you have come to the right place. We were welcomed very friendly by the boss “with a glass of ouzo”. Special requests were also taken into account. If the older waitress learns more about friendliness, ALL guests will go home with a smile.

We dined at Zorbas twice in a row. Three people with 6 different dishes. Everything tasted great, a super hard-working, well-organized team works here, the order was taken quickly. The food came very quickly. The starter was served so that all three people could eat it. The price-performance ratio is still right here. We felt very comfortable, had a great meal and would recommend this restaurant to any friend. I was just surprised at how many people were of the opinion that on a long weekend in a health resort with a rehabilitation clinic at 6 p.m. on a Saturday evening without a reservation, they could get a table with 6 or 8 people if possible. People then say no, we're sorry, we're fully booked, people are disappointed and have little understanding. But it's always easier to say the staff was unfriendly.

We really couldn't complain about the food, it tasted good and the portions were good. The boss and the conditions were also quite friendly.

Unfortunately my visit today was very disappointing. We used to come here more often. The waiting times were extremely long. We had to wait forever for service and then for the food. Unfortunately, the gratinated gyro was also very weak - little taste, not fully baked and the quality left a lot to be desired. Overall I only give it 2 out of 5 stars. We actually wanted to go to Kalimera, but they are closed on Mondays.

We were there with children and that is not recommended. One child took a little longer to choose a dish, about 30 seconds. Then the waiter, who was so unfriendly, said he had to go outside because there were other guests waiting. Above us a music box was creaking, we asked politely if we could turn the box off or turn on music and were told the box was broken. The number 68.: Bifteki meat dry, Number 38: Pasta with oil and garlic to my wife's horror with pepperoni. When we told the waiter he said everyone does it differently and just walked away. When ordering a pizza for my daughter, PATZIG said do you know what our pizza is like and badmouthed his own pizza, to be honest that was the only thing that tasted good that day. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos. NEVER AGAIN THANK YOU......

We really enjoy coming to the Zorbas restaurant when we visit Bad Zwischenahn. Unfortunately we forgot to reserve a table for Sunday evening at 6 p.m. Thanks to a completely full restaurant, the service was hardly able to do justice to all guests. We think the food and the large selection of dishes are excellent.

Hardly edible, first and last visit. We had the Zorbas and the robber plate.

Went to Zorbas on Friday September 20th, 2024, the food was good. Unfortunately the starter was served together with the main course. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. Grumpy. Doesn't work at all. When you work in service you have to be friendly. Oh yes, serving ouzo in warm glasses is a minus point. So you should still do it yourself work. Incredibly disgusting, I just can't forget it

I ordered a large beer and received a small one. I ordered a large portion of gyros, but did I get a “small” one? I was really looking forward to gyros. Unfortunately in vain. I ordered rice as a side dish and got half a small ball. The portions were really disappointing. I had to eat something afterwards. The side salad was not worthy of a Greek. There was also only a small dollop of tzasziki on the salad, nothing else with the gyros. And…it was the first Greek where there was no Uozo 🙄 When asked about the service...it would only be available in the evening. To be honest, I've never experienced anything like that!!! 1 star for the service, 1 star for the food…unfortunately there was nothing more, sorry. Overall price/performance ratio unfortunately not recommended.

We go out to eat as a group of friends every Sunday (6 people).🥗🍝🍕 On September 8th, 2024 we called at lunchtime and reserved a table outside. When we arrived at 7 p.m. we were able to sit right outside and get the tickets. After 10 to 15 minutes everyone had ordered their food and drinks. The selection on the menu is really large and there was something for everyone. After 10 more minutes the drinks arrived. Unfortunately the cola was a “Pepsi” cola, but that’s a matter of taste & that’s debatable! ;) After about another 60 minutes of waiting (8:15 p.m.), three of us received our salad starters. At 8:30 p.m., after a long wait, we all got our food. It has to be said that it was pretty full, it would have been nice if they had said when ordering that it would take a little longer today. Personally, I ordered goat cheese as recommended by the kitchen/house (first page of the menu) plus fries with mayo. When I got my food, I mentioned to the waitress that I didn't have any mayo, she said "I'll bring it to you and the others immediately", after another 15 minutes of waiting, my friend went to the waitress and asked for mayo for our table and it did was forgotten again. After another 5 minutes, this mayo for our table came to us in bags (that's debatable). Three of my friends had already eaten and the others and I just wanted to eat our remaining fries cold. We asked the waitress if we could pay after the meal and said that I thought it was a shame that they forgot the mayo and then also forgot it the second time we asked. The waitress said that could happen. I said it wasn't a bad thing that you forget something like that once, but forgetting it again the second time you ask and you end up sitting with food that gets cold is a shame. There was no apology, I still had to pay for the mayonnaise despite asking, a long wait and cold fries. There was no apology. We weren't the only ones who complained, the table next to us complained that they had to wait 1.5 hours for their food. Conclusion: The food was okay, the prices are high. Long waiting times. Staff shows no understanding. No original cola, mayo & ketchup in small bags. Positive: friendly welcome, looks cozy, candles and plants. The meat was good. Reservation possible.

I also told the gentleman this personally, ability to criticize is zero. The reaction was overly friendly and even provocative. Good luck with the tourists.

An outdated restaurant with a cuisine aimed at tourists. Eat quickly and goodbye. Tablecloth already dirty at lunchtime. We've been there a few times now due to a lack of alternatives and our impression has always been confirmed. This time we had fish, unfortunately as crackers and unseasoned. When we wanted to move to a place other than the one assigned, the already frosty atmosphere turned icy. Friendliness, taking care of the guest is unfortunately not available. One lady in particular (boss?) seems to view a guest as a nuisance. We never saw the Uso that some people mentioned, but that's probably a matter of sympathy. When our glass was empty, we were immediately asked if we wanted to pay now, mind you there were 4 people in the entire interior.

Hello Restaurant Zorbas, I had dinner with you yesterday. The food was okay, but I've eaten better Greek before. The service was a disaster, everyone got ouzo, unfortunately I didn't get any. When I repeatedly asked why I didn't get ouzo, I was ignored. All in all it's okay, but the price-performance ratio isn't right at all. The robber's plate was €18.90 and I paid €4.60 for a beer. It was the first and last time for me with you. Nice day

We had dinner at Zorbas on July 21, 2024 and overall we were very satisfied. We were given a nice table outside and an ouzo as a welcome. that's how you feel good. For food we had a gyros plate and a pork medallion skewer - everything was very well prepared and extremely tasty, and the portions were very large and difficult to manage. The service was very friendly and attentive, I have no reason to complain. Conclusion: We can unreservedly recommend the Zorbas restaurant. On many days a reservation is recommended. We'd love to come back!

I have to admit that I very rarely eat Greek because I have had a lot of negative experiences with Greek food in the past. However, Zorbas convinced me otherwise! The food: Zorba's plate with the tzatziki starter and pancakes for dessert, which is unusual but still very tasty and I really enjoyed it! I have often heard from many acquaintances and friends that the store is very good, and I am really happy with the employees. The waiter Murat Gadjev in particular has a great, positive energy that makes me feel at home there. The drinks were served very quickly and it was a lot of fun chatting with the staff, who always had a joke ready. I have to admit, it was my first time there and I will definitely visit the store more often! I can only recommend this to anyone who would like to have a nice, fun evening where they can also eat delicious food!

We have been living in Bad Zwischenahn since the end of last year and Zorbas has become our new regular restaurant. Great food, great ambience and the service is great.... Simply recommended.

Food ok so far, not outstanding. The daily dish “Matjes” was a three, unfortunately not anymore. The walleye was ok. The service was very attentive, even if you went down to the cellar to laugh or smile. Unfortunately the payment process takes forever, it's probably only done by the boss and he has to watch football😕

Very arrogant and unfriendly waitress

It already started with the arrogant and unfriendly cellar lady. Starter salad from the bag. Then came the main course, roasted potatoes convention and the rest was absolutely bad. Stained cutlery and chipped dishes. Definitely not this restaurant again.

The meat was very juicy and very seasoned. Really highly recommended. Unfortunately there weren't enough tzatziki.

The food and the price/performance ratio are great. The staff is friendly to “handy”, you have to like it. You can sit inside and outside, but prior reservation is strongly recommended.

When we go out to eat in Zwischenahn, it's always at Zorbas, always good and cozy for 16 years.

The worst Greek ever! We were there on May 1st. Eating there with 5 people. Reserved the phone and I was rudely washed off. My request to set the table nicely was ignored. My husband's birthday. Furnishings from 1975. Old and musty! The food was carelessly prepared, my Mousaka was just a pile of mud, bland and had nothing to do with Mousaka. Was deleted directly from the invoice after the complaint! There is no side dish for the lamb pot. All in all, never again! The restaurant gives the impression that "the money comes by itself" The head of the house made a very arrogant impression!

Price performance fits. Nice service. Food very good. Facilities are getting old.

Unfortunately, food is definitely made for the masses. Tzatziki was bad, the gyros had half an onion on top?! Waiters definitely don't have fun at work. Benches/chairs worn out and uncomfortable.

Als ich beim Bezahlen freundlich darauf hinwies, das der Gyros in Metaxasoße auf der Homepage-Speisekarte 14,90€ kostet, in der Vitrinen-Aushang draußen vor dem Restaurant 16,90€ und im Lokal in der Speisekarte 18,90€ wurde sie sehr patzig. Ich dann auch. Leider kenne ich diese "Unart" auch von anderen Restaurants

The dishes we ate here were very good and we were served quickly. The waiter was also very friendly. The prices are reasonable and the food selection is very large! Negative: We ate in the restaurant with a view of the outdoor area. That's where I noticed the transparent rubber barrier walls! They were very dirty and I wouldn't have wanted to eat my food at a table next to the rubber wall. The entire look of the outside area also needs to be spruced up. If the reviews of the food hadn't been so good, I wouldn't have visited this restaurant because the first impression seemed rather run down! I can't understand how an operator can overlook something like this! However, the toilets were pleasantly clean and bright.

Unfortunately, the food was way too spicy and the portions were small. An exchange of liver for gyros on the "robber's plate" is only available for an additional charge! possible. However, this circumstance matched the erratic and grumpy behavior of the waitress. There was no friendliness or attentiveness. It was also very tight in the restaurant and therefore very busy. Card payment doesn't seem to have been possible for years (see old reviews). A rogue who thinks evil... All in all a bad price/performance ratio. However, given the reviews, this doesn't seem relevant; the restaurant probably runs either way due to the location. A pity..

Das Essen war mega, ein auf dem Punkt genau gebratenes Rinderstaek gegessen. Lob an den Koch. Zu den den Preisen!! Draußen wie auf dem Foto zu erkennen wurde das Rinderstaek für 19,90 € ausgeschrieben nur drinnen bin ich ein wenig überrascht über die tatsächliche Rechnung gewesen, denn diese war teuer . Auf Nachfrage sagte mir erklärte mir man, das dieses Steak draußen kleiner und nur mit Salat berechnet wird..aber das was ich im Restaurant gegessen hatte grösser währe...mhhhh schon sehr skeptisch verließ ich das Restaurant. Sehr irreführend!! Sonnst vom Ambiente sehr zu empfehlen und das Essen war auch sehr lecker.....weiter so...🫡

Wir liiieeeben das ZORBAS einfach.....sind seit Ewigkeiten Stammgäste. 40 Jahre oder so : D Da stimmt einfach alles . Zu Feiertagen oder Wochenende besser Tisch reservieren , wenn man gleich essen möchte. Mein Mann und ich sitzen auch sehr gerne auf der gemütlichen Thekensitzbank und genießen einen Naoussa und Retsina bis ein Tisch frei wird.

Das Essen war lecker,selbst der kleine Teller für Kinder war sehr viel. Einzige Kritik-wir konnten den alkoholischen Gruss des Hauses aus gesundheitlichen Gründen nicht trinken.Wir baten stattdessen um einen Espresso,was aber abgelehnt wurde.

Wenn man es stressig und laut mag beim Essen gehen, ist man hier genau richtig. Auch wenn man nicht viel Wert auf Genuss legt. Das gefüllte Schnitzel kommt aus der Fritteuse und die Pommes und die Metaxasoße schmeckten fad. Der Salat war in Ordnung. Das Hauptessen kam schon als wir mit der Vorspeise noch nicht mal fertig waren. Als wir kurz Geld aus der Jackentasche holten, um es ins Portemonnaie zu legen, kam von hinten einer angeprescht knallte! die Rechnung auf den Tisch, lächelte und meinte: Ich habe doch Geld gesehen. Unglaublich und schade, da wir dort ansässig sind und einen neuen Lieblingsgriechen suchen. Hier hatte es wohl jemand eilig, die Tische neu zu besetzen und Umsatz zu machen.

Endlich mal wieder ein Grieche der Grillgemüse kennt und hervorragend zubereitet. Zusammen mit dem Lamm ein Gedicht. Danke für diesen kulinarischen Leckerbissen. das Personal ist freundlich, hat immer einen Blick auf seine Gäste. Die Idee mit einer Pergola die Restauration für den Aussenbereich zu vergrössern ist klasse, allerdings nur, wenn einem nichts auf dem Kopf fällt. Deshalb fürs Ambiente auch nur 4 Sterne. Also schnell die Hohlkammerplatten mit Kabelbinder befestigen, Stern gerettet! Kulinarisch und vom Service absolut empfehlenswert! Zentral in Bad Zwischenahn gelegen, verkehrsberuhigt. Daher Reservierung von Vorteil. Mobilitätseingeschränkten Personen empfehle ich den Überdachten Aussenbereich. Hunde, Raucher sind dort gern gesehen.
