We were there spontaneously, even though it was very crowded, and we still managed to get a seat in the outdoor area. Unfortunately, the seating was very loud and the floor was very uneven, but that was okay. For a spontaneous event, everything was fine.

I've been visiting regularly for 25 years and have never been disappointed. The service is always friendly and attentive, and the food is always a delight. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately the staff were in such a bad mood, especially the ladies, who were so unfriendly. I won't recommend it to anyone and won't eat there again.

Right in the center, a busy Greek restaurant with a large outdoor terrace, a traditional menu, and good food. Good value for money for a spa resort. I enjoy coming here. I highly recommend it.

Always delicious and friendly, price-performance ratio is right

Ate there three times, it was always delicious 😋. The young waitress was very nice, but unfortunately his older colleague wasn't at all...what a pity.

We've eaten at Zorbas several times and have always been satisfied. Unfortunately, our last visit was very disappointing. I ordered a large gyro plate for €17.90, but I only got a small portion of gyro with lots of onions. When I asked about it, the waiter himself said that he'd often asked the kitchen about adding more meat to the plate. It's a shame they don't do it. The price is simply not right, so we'll spend our money elsewhere in the future.

We spontaneously ate there one evening, and it was quite good. We sat outside because of the warm weather, and it had a bit of a beer garden feel.

We stopped by for dinner spontaneously. The menu was slammed down on our table. The salad plate was simply taken away from us (good thing we were finished eating) as soon as the main course was served. They didn't even ask if we wanted anything else to drink. We've never experienced such unfriendly staff. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant. We didn't feel welcome.

The service was very good, food so-so

I ordered a bottle of red wine that evening. The menu cost €25.50, which you'd think is binding. When I paid €35, I was told the menu was incorrect. Disappointing for me. Next time, no tip. Best, Rainer

Old chewing gum was stuck under the beer mats, causing them to stick to the tablecloth (possibly to prevent them from sliding off the table). The service staff was overwhelmed, stressed, and unfriendly. The decor was probably from the 90s. Payment was only possible after repeated notifications. The food wasn't that good, but edible! I wouldn't recommend eating there.

Service was quick. I got a piece of chewed gum under my beer mat with my drink, probably to keep it from sliding off the table. The food came quickly. The taste was just okay. We wouldn't want to visit this restaurant again.

Portions were far too small – the value for money was absolutely not right! The portion sizes were truly disappointing. The price simply wasn't justified. It seemed almost cheeky how little you got. Unfortunately, the ratio isn't right at all.

Very very little and sometimes double billed, also very unpleasant staff

Dirty, the food was okay, but the portions were extremely small. The staff were extremely unfriendly, and the environment was so loud that our ears constantly hurt. The highlight was that we were charged twice for the mayonnaise and ketchup side dishes and had to ask the staff four times to pay, which took about half an hour.

The service wasn't rude. I had a ragù (ruffled meat) platter. The liver was overcooked and therefore inedible. The plate was poorly presented. I ordered the plate without chicken. It wasn't cheaper, and there was no uso (uso) to compensate. My daughter had a giros pan with metaxa sauce. The sauce curdled, and the giros was only boiled in places. The server didn't mention it either. We later learned that there were problems with the giros skewer. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

We were only here briefly because we got lost. However, the gentleman at the reception was remarkably friendly.

We've eaten at Zorbas several times over the past few years. This Greek restaurant used to be really good, but the quality of the meat has now declined considerably. We've had souvlaki, gyros, bifteki, among other dishes, all of which were, in our opinion, of truly inferior quality. Similar to pre-packaged and pickled supermarket meat. The meat had a very strange taste and was also weakly seasoned. Even the very pale rice half-ball had no taste of anything. What bothered us most was that some of the meat was red after grilling, which wasn't because it was still raw. Apparently, they use cured meat, which can produce nitrosalmines during the grilling process, which are considered carcinogenic. For us, this is now the worst Greek restaurant we've ever experienced, and that's for a dish that costs just under €20. The constantly changing tourists in Bad Zwischenahn are apparently not as critical as the local regulars, and tourists can be expected to tolerate a lot more. We won't be going there again in the future...

Unfortunately, I have to give it one star; otherwise, there wouldn't be any. Disabled people are not welcome. We wanted to eat there with our son, who uses a wheelchair. Unfortunately, there wasn't a table large enough. We asked if two tables could be put together. They flatly refused, pointing out that our family could sit at different tables. Unbelievable... this restaurant apparently doesn't need guests!

Best Greek restaurant in Bad Zwischenahn

Leider enttäuschend – komme nicht wieder Ich war mit einem Familienmitglied dort essen und hatte ein Saganaki bestellt. Leider war es nur lauwarm statt heiß, sodass man es nur schnell essen konnte, bevor es komplett abkühlte. Als ich das der Bedienung mitteilte, kam lediglich ein knappes „Ich gebe es weiter“ – keine Entschuldigung, kein weiteres Feedback. Die Bedienung war insgesamt eher unfreundlich – nett geht wirklich anders. Als kleine Geste der Wiedergutmachung wäre z. B. ein Ouzo üblich gewesen, aber auch das blieb aus. Alles in allem ein enttäuschender Besuch – wir kommen definitiv nicht wieder.

Unfortunately, disappointing – won't be back I ate there with a family member and ordered a saganaki. Unfortunately, it was lukewarm instead of hot, so we could only eat it quickly before it cooled down completely. When I told the waitress, all I got was a curt "I'll pass it on" – no apology, no further feedback. The service was generally rather unfriendly – ​​it really doesn't get any nicer. As a small gesture of reconciliation, an ouzo would have been customary, but that didn't happen either. All in all, a disappointing visit – we definitely won't be back.

Have nice food, it is beautifully designed, can only recommend it

There were four of us dining, but we didn't like the food at all. It was very loud, and we had to constantly ask for a waiter to order something. The organization was abysmal. The menu listed 10 prawns with garlic sauce, and they just threw in 10 prawns with béchamel sauce and two cloves of garlic. Never again! And we waited almost 30 minutes to pay!

We were there with a pre-booked group and had to wait a bit long (1.5 hours) for the food. We weren't asked about drinks. The souvlaki was a bit dry, but otherwise OK.

Unfortunately, that wasn't enough. The coleslaw tasted slightly bitter, the robber's plate was average. The liver was grilled to death, the rest was okay, the fries needed more salt. My wife had something with Metaxa sauce. This could have been a cream sauce. Completely tasteless, with no kick. The female waitresses both seemed grumpy and annoyed. Overall, everything felt like something from the 80s.

We were at Zorbas today for my mother's birthday. There were 19 people in total. We ate à la carte. Everyone got their food at the same time. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. People often asked for drinks, which was very welcome given the 30-degree heat. We all had a great time. The only drawback was that we had four tables, one of which was separated by a small wall. A larger table would have been nicer—but that's nitpicking.

We came here spontaneously and were served quickly and friendly. Food was top. Delicious. Varied menu and something for everyone. The restaurant was very well attended. We'd love to come back when we're back in Bad Zwischenahn.

Had dinner at your place on March 9, 2025 around 11:30 a.m. The service was very friendly and we enjoyed the food very much. We would be happy to come back.

Nach 3 Jahren mal wieder hin, Und? Nichts geändert, immer noch enttäuscht. Gyros war OK, statt Reis kam Pommes. Bifteki knochentrocjen, einseitig fast verbrannt und statt Pommes kam hier der Reis. Kalamaru in Speck gebraten waren fettig ohne Ende und geschmacklich nur nach Bacon. Wirtin patzig wie man sie kennt, wir dachten, es hat sich was geändert, aber leider nicht. 3 Personen 100 Euro. Zahlt man nebenan im Kalimera auch, aber da stimmt alles und es schmeckt. War das letzte Mal im Zorbas.

Gyros is completely tasteless. Price too high for the quality. Unfortunately no!

Versatile dishes, original Greek wines and beer, great ambience and a great team. We come often and enjoy it!

I'm very sad about this review because the food was delicious but I can't rate it otherwise when you wait 1.5 hours for the food. We were there in the summer with my husband and our little daughter (I was heavily pregnant). We were not told at reception that the waiting time would be so long. Since I was pregnant, it was extremely difficult for me to wait so long for food. We finished our drinks and our stomachs growled. If you're going to make guests wait that long, you could at least serve side dishes or salads and bread so you don't starve. Finally our fish arrived at some point and I asked for bread so that we could be full because after 1.5 hours of waiting the portion wasn't enough to satisfy our hunger. That doesn't fit with Greek culture at all.

We were there with our two children (2 & 6 years old, restaurant-tested) on Sunday lunchtime. We didn't feel like children were very welcome. Very rude service (was not due to the behavior of the children who behaved in an exemplary manner) from the start a service that seemed rude and bored. The food was OK but way too expensive. Children's meals that cost €12-14 and are simply smaller portions can be left off the menu - for me this is also a sign that children are not the most popular guests there. Our “service” lady was able to top the grumpy answers to questions about food when paying. We were told that we couldn't pay by card because there was probably no internet - when we asked to please try again with our card, we reluctantly responded with a roll of the eyes and everything worked straight away. If we had been there without the kids, we would have already stopped at the drink order and the rudeness and left. So we paid a lot of money for lunch and left very dissatisfied. We won't come back again.

All in all great restaurant. Dish recommendation is definitely the 504 pork steak with the eggplant rolls filled with tomatoes and sheep's cheese. Friendly boss and friendly staff, top Ouzo!

Well, yes, that was pretty disappointing for a Greek restaurant visit: the two ladies in service made faces like it was 3 days of rainy weather, a damp tablecloth and a dirty floor (glass tipped over by the previous guest?) were shrugged off, the filet á la Rouz was (see Photo) at least with a piece of a dead-fried, dry and hard schnitzel and the ordered (!) Ouzo was served warm in an uncooled glass with an ice cube. All points could be changed quickly and easily with a little more friendliness, attention and well-known Greek hospitality...

We found the portions small. The rice wasn't Greek at all, I know it differently and better from other Greek restaurants. Service, we had three different people who served us. 1 person was very nice, the other two not so much.

Food was really delicious! Price-performance is right! We'd love to come back! 😊

I was there yesterday. They must have enough money or they didn't like me. wanted to order food and asked if I could get Güros at stad Huhn, yes, she said, but any rebooking would be charged 2.50 euros. Am I stupid? So off to the Oldenburg farm where the guest is still king 👑

We had a delicious meal there and were served in a friendly manner. Price performance is appropriate. No problem with children either.

My companion and I were not satisfied at all. The gyro was rubbery and the bifteki was made of fatty pork (mett?) with an undefinable cheese filling (no feta). When the waitress cleared away the still full plates and asked how satisfied we were, we commented accordingly, whereupon she disappeared with the plates without comment. Neither she nor her colleague complied with our request for payment. After waiting at least 35 minutes, we got up when a waiter rushed over and said he couldn't smell that we wanted to pay. He didn't respond at all to our statement that we had already asked for payment three times. Conclusion: This store will definitely never see us again!

If you are looking for authentic Greek cuisine, you have come to the right place. We were welcomed very friendly by the boss “with a glass of ouzo”. Special requests were also taken into account. If the older waitress learns more about friendliness, ALL guests will go home with a smile.

We dined at Zorbas twice in a row. Three people with 6 different dishes. Everything tasted great, a super hard-working, well-organized team works here, the order was taken quickly. The food came very quickly. The starter was served so that all three people could eat it. The price-performance ratio is still right here. We felt very comfortable, had a great meal and would recommend this restaurant to any friend. I was just surprised at how many people were of the opinion that on a long weekend in a health resort with a rehabilitation clinic at 6 p.m. on a Saturday evening without a reservation, they could get a table with 6 or 8 people if possible. People then say no, we're sorry, we're fully booked, people are disappointed and have little understanding. But it's always easier to say the staff was unfriendly.

We really couldn't complain about the food, it tasted good and the portions were good. The boss and the conditions were also quite friendly.

Unfortunately my visit today was very disappointing. We used to come here more often. The waiting times were extremely long. We had to wait forever for service and then for the food. Unfortunately, the gratinated gyro was also very weak - little taste, not fully baked and the quality left a lot to be desired. Overall I only give it 2 out of 5 stars. We actually wanted to go to Kalimera, but they are closed on Mondays.

We really enjoy coming to the Zorbas restaurant when we visit Bad Zwischenahn. Unfortunately we forgot to reserve a table for Sunday evening at 6 p.m. Thanks to a completely full restaurant, the service was hardly able to do justice to all guests. We think the food and the large selection of dishes are excellent.

We were there with children and that is not recommended. One child took a little longer to choose a dish, about 30 seconds. Then the waiter, who was so unfriendly, said he had to go outside because there were other guests waiting. Above us a music box was creaking, we asked politely if we could turn the box off or turn on music and were told the box was broken. The number 68.: Bifteki meat dry, Number 38: Pasta with oil and garlic to my wife's horror with pepperoni. When we told the waiter he said everyone does it differently and just walked away. When ordering a pizza for my daughter, PATZIG said do you know what our pizza is like and badmouthed his own pizza, to be honest that was the only thing that tasted good that day. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos. NEVER AGAIN THANK YOU......

Incredibly disgusting, I just can't forget it

I ordered a large beer and received a small one. I ordered a large portion of gyros, but did I get a “small” one? I was really looking forward to gyros. Unfortunately in vain. I ordered rice as a side dish and got half a small ball. The portions were really disappointing. I had to eat something afterwards. The side salad was not worthy of a Greek. There was also only a small dollop of tzasziki on the salad, nothing else with the gyros. And…it was the first Greek where there was no Uozo 🙄 When asked about the service...it would only be available in the evening. To be honest, I've never experienced anything like that!!! 1 star for the service, 1 star for the food…unfortunately there was nothing more, sorry. Overall price/performance ratio unfortunately not recommended.

Went to Zorbas on Friday September 20th, 2024, the food was good. Unfortunately the starter was served together with the main course. Unfortunately the service leaves a lot to be desired. Grumpy. Doesn't work at all. When you work in service you have to be friendly. Oh yes, serving ouzo in warm glasses is a minus point. So you should still do it yourself work. We go out to eat as a group of friends every Sunday (6 people).🥗🍝🍕 On September 8th, 2024 we called at lunchtime and reserved a table outside. When we arrived at 7 p.m. we were able to sit right outside and get the tickets. After 10 to 15 minutes everyone had ordered their food and drinks. The selection on the menu is really large and there was something for everyone. After 10 more minutes the drinks arrived. Unfortunately the cola was a “Pepsi” cola, but that’s a matter of taste & that’s debatable! ;) After about another 60 minutes of waiting (8:15 p.m.), three of us received our salad starters. At 8:30 p.m., after a long wait, we all got our food. It has to be said that it was pretty full, it would have been nice if they had said when ordering that it would take a little longer today. Personally, I ordered goat cheese as recommended by the kitchen/house (first page of the menu) plus fries with mayo. When I got my food, I mentioned to the waitress that I didn't have any mayo, she said "I'll bring it to you and the others immediately", after another 15 minutes of waiting, my friend went to the waitress and asked for mayo for our table and it did was forgotten again. After another 5 minutes, this mayo for our table came to us in bags (that's debatable). Three of my friends had already eaten and the others and I just wanted to eat our remaining fries cold. We asked the waitress if we could pay after the meal and said that I thought it was a shame that they forgot the mayo and then also forgot it the second time we asked. The waitress said that could happen. I said it wasn't a bad thing that you forget something like that once, but forgetting it again the second time you ask and you end up sitting with food that gets cold is a shame. There was no apology, I still had to pay for the mayonnaise despite asking, a long wait and cold fries. There was no apology. We weren't the only ones who complained, the table next to us complained that they had to wait 1.5 hours for their food. Conclusion: The food was okay, the prices are high. Long waiting times. Staff shows no understanding. No original cola, mayo & ketchup in small bags. Positive: friendly welcome, looks cozy, candles and plants. The meat was good. Reservation possible.

An outdated restaurant with a cuisine aimed at tourists. Eat quickly and goodbye. Tablecloth already dirty at lunchtime. We've been there a few times now due to a lack of alternatives and our impression has always been confirmed. This time we had fish, unfortunately as crackers and unseasoned. When we wanted to move to a place other than the one assigned, the already frosty atmosphere turned icy. Friendliness, taking care of the guest is unfortunately not available. One lady in particular (boss?) seems to view a guest as a nuisance. We never saw the Uso that some people mentioned, but that's probably a matter of sympathy. When our glass was empty, we were immediately asked if we wanted to pay now, mind you there were 4 people in the entire interior.
