Ein leckerer Lunch im wunderschönen Aussenbereich. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, angenehm aufmerksam und servierte uns die frisch zubereiteten Thaigerichte rasch. Die Getränke waren schön kühl und erfrischend bei den hochsommerlichen Temperaturen. Die Portionen waren wie immer sehr reichlich und jedes Gericht schmackhaft.

Like to go there. Simply tastes good. Update as of 08/13/24 Quality has noticeably declined for some time. Smaller portions after the price increase, and it seems to me that everything comes from the freezer. The wonton soup is scooped out of a large bucket and lacks any fresh vegetables. For this reason 2 points deduction compared to before.

Delicious as always! We sat outside by the gently babbling “river”. Was nice.

Wir haben im Restaurant aussen unser Abendessen eingenommen. Unser Essen war sehr fett. Mein Essen 73b war sehr dunkel vom alten , verbranntem Fett und genauso hat es auch geschmeckt. Wir haben unser Essen nicht alles gegessen. Es hat direkt schwer im Magen gelegen. Abends trotz einem Schnaps habe ich erbrochen. Meinem Mann geht es am Montag immer noch nicht gut. Es ist sehr schade. Ansonsten war das Essen gut. Werde so schnell nicht mehr dort hin Essen gehen, wenn überhaupt noch.

A fast food restaurant that not only offers meals to take away, but also to eat on site. Asian food, large selection. Plus point: The menu is available online. 🍽️ Food - Mini spring rolls: 8 pieces, ideal portion for two people as a starter, tasty but run of the mill. Not greasy. - Duck: Very tender and tasty. You get a good portion for the price. The rice and noodles are tasty and plentiful. Few vegetables included. The sauces are also very tasty. Above all, the duck and the sauces were not greasy, which is often the case with other Asian restaurants. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️,5 🖼️ Ambiance The biggest drawback of this restaurant. It is very old-fashioned, partly careless, no nice decoration, old and rather uncomfortable chairs. The aquarium is pretty. The (sad) music was too loud. You can look into the kitchen through a glass window, but even that made it rather noisy. Unfortunately, there is no cozy atmosphere here. But it's fine for lunch. An evening date? Great stop for a quick lunch or takeaway. I would not recommend WOK Idar for a long or even romantic dinner. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ordered by phone for pickup. At the checkout there is a note that you can only pay in cash. When I asked why I couldn't be told this over the phone, the answer from the eighteen-year-old employee was extremely blunt and even rude: It's everywhere, I have to find out myself in advance, that's solely my responsibility. - If I had run out of cash, I would have left the food there because it would have been cold after the walk to the bank and back anyway. Conclusion: Anyone who in the 21st century doesn't offer the option of paying electronically and then employs such coarse, boorish ladies who seem to have lost all respect not only for the customer but also for their age - if they ever had it - doesn't have to worry be surprised if customers stop coming sooner or later. In any case, I was there for the first and last time!

Very tasty dishes Price - performance is right

Small but nice restaurant. Service is very friendly and accommodating. The food is very good and plentiful and at a reasonable price to boot. If we take another trip to Idar-Oberstein, we will definitely come back.

I ordered the duck good everything good (or similar). Delicious. The portion isn't that big but I was satisfied. Pay cash only.

It's been ages since I ate it in a wok. The large portion of fried noodles used to be a lot. But today I was really disappointed. Hardly any vegetables, actually just carrots, and the quantity was VERY manageable. Doesn't come across correctly in the photo. I never know what to order, I usually skimp on vegetables and what little vegetables I have ends up swimming in tons of sauce.

But I don't care about the ambience if it tastes good and the price is right. The service is always very friendly. Am satisfied

We have ordered food from the wok very often. At first the food was great. But the last few times it's just been bad. We were totally disappointed today. The portions were much smaller and not seasoned. That was definitely the last time for us today.

We have been visiting the wok for years. The food is average, not bad but not special either. Many ready-made components. On the way to the toilet you wonder about hygiene standards. The waitresses become less friendly with every visit and you feel unwanted. Today we chose pasta instead of rice as a side dish for the duck and were charged an extra €5 for two dishes. Wow! Since we felt so badly treated the last 4-5 times, we will get our food elsewhere in the future. Yes, we expect a basic level of friendliness when we go out to eat, and not to be looked at in a completely unfriendly way, as if we were a nuisance! We are friendly... We always leave around 20 € per person when we eat in the restaurant, and when we pick up the food we always end up with 40 - 50 €... so I see no reason for this unfriendliness ! Our tips are of course gladly accepted! You used to feel more comfortable there, and you also had really fresh vegetables with your meals, but now you can be early if the mixed vegetables consist of three to four different types! Almost all sauces somehow taste like they were bought and pimped, nothing seems fresh or homemade. I wonder if the ownership changed at some point or if the operators want to increase their profits at the expense of quality! I was once again very dissatisfied today!

Schnelle und freundliche Bedienung, dass Essen ist leider nicht mehr so gut wie früher und teuer ist es auch geworden. 5 kleine Stücke Fleisch im Menü ist uns für 13,00 € zu teuer.

Bester Chinamann in der Umgebung! Das Essen ist schnell abholbereit und schmeckt richtig lecker. Die Pekingsuppe ist nur zu empfehlen.
