Restaurant Wintergarten im KaDeWe in Berlin

We had a wonderful brunch at this restaurant - a perfect way to start the day with the girls! The selection of dishes was varied and incredibly tasty, from sweet to savory. The live music created a relaxed yet festive atmosphere. It was just magical – great conversations, good food and beautiful music. We'll definitely be back!

The Jazz Brunch at KaDeWe was an experience at the highest level. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed at the same time – perfect Sunday vibes. Live jazz at its best, a great buffet with a huge selection of fresh, high-quality food, and excellent service. Whether fresh oysters, fine patisserie or perfectly prepared egg dishes - everything was thought out down to the last detail and lovingly prepared. A special place to start the day in style - highly recommended, both for Berliners and guests of the city. I'll definitely be back!

14€ for a currywurst with fries without ketchup or mayo? Instead it costs €2 for a very small jar of mayo at the checkout? That's an absurdity - especially since you would need at least two of them.

The cake is a sin, but one worth it. The selection of cakes is very large and there is definitely something for every taste. If you can then enjoy the view from the winter garden, it's a successful afternoon outing.

I wasn't happy with my meal. The salmon was half raw and the potatoes had a sour taste. I also didn't like that the cook didn't wear gloves.

Yesterday I had a spontaneous meal here with my girlfriend and was really overwhelmed by the great selection of food and the homemade cakes. For me there was the roast venison, which tasted excellent, and for her there was something Asian, which also really tasted excellent. The desserts were excellent and the ambience rounded everything off. There was nothing wrong with the service, all in all I would eat here again every time I visit Berlin.

I had dinner there last week with my boyfriend. We were both super happy with the food - very fresh and tasty, fast service and also a nice atmosphere overall. Would recommend after some exhausting shopping in the KaDeWe. They also have a nice variety of cakes btw!

When we visited the Kaufhaus des Westens, we wanted to have a good time in the winter garden with coffee and cake. No sooner said than done! When we arrived under the roof of the venerable building, we found ourselves in front of a huge and fresh selection of cakes. After a while we left the agony of choice behind us and went to our seats. As with our last visits, we were not disappointed, so we were able to continue our shopping tour in a good mood.

Wie immer ein tolles Erlebnis! Seit vielen Jahren esse ich jedes Mal wenn ich in Berlin bin, gratinierte Auster mit Shrimpssauce beim KaDeWe. Das Team rund um die Koche ist phantastisch, nett, freundlich, serviceorientiert, fachmännisch! Jeder vom Team hat den Gast im Blick und man fühlt sich rundum betreut. Das schöne ist, dass wenn man auch alleine kommt, durch die lange Bar kommt man sofort ins Gespräch :) toll Mein Fazit: ich war auch diesesmal wieder begeistert und ich komme wieder.

En primer lugar, es muy agradable encontrar ostras frescas en Berlín. La presentación es visualmente muy buena y sentarse en la barra es muy agradable. Me gustó mucho el vino blanco alemán, era fuerte y delicioso. La sopa de ostras también estaba deliciosa. Era una sopa con verduras y camarones, y había una ostra en ella. Fue una noche agradable. Si vuelvo a Berlín, me gustaría pasar por aquí.

Coming from Austria, I'm wondering: Is this what a Wiener Schnitzel for €22 looks like to you? Dark and tough. So salty that unfortunately the lemon couldn't save it. We are disappointed because we were so looking forward to the KaDeWe.

Overpriced for below average food. Overcrowded and also self service. The price-quality balance is just not right.

One of my friends told me about this restaurant so we decide to have our weekend lunch there. There were a lots of people but they preper our food almost fast. Their young stuffs could talk in english so we didn't face any problem to order. What I like the most about this restaurant was the design and the building on it's own ( As one of the stuffs told me, the building is one of the must seen places in germany with a lot of history)

Of course it's a little experience and the quality of the food and the staff...everything is great. But this breakfast grading in terms of prices, with what is included, is very confusing...there is definitely a lack of transparency about the price and the food that is included, so the signs posted are of no use.

Got a coffee at the food court, but it tasted like water. The cashier's service was great, but when we were trying to get a coffee from the machine, a customer service rep came by to check with a not so friendly attitude. That was disappointing.

When you're at KaDeWe, no one expects the food to be cheap. But what I expected is that the quality would be accordingly. There was a large selection, but everything was very greasy and sometimes only lukewarm. The white cream for dessert was also just greasy and not fluffy at all. You could say unfriendly: upscale canteen food. I just came from Switzerland and am used to a different standard. We can still make improvements here.

The steak was overcooked (ordered medium but was well done) but other than that the food was very good. It is a great place to stay when your travel partners wish to spend money but you just want to have a drink and enjoy life.

High prices, lousy quality, absolutely inappropriate for KaDeWe

Large selection For a department store restaurant there is a great selection of delicious cakes and tarts. Not just the usual Dinea standard convenience goods that you can get everywhere. Here the food is still produced in-house and sometimes even cheaper than in similar restaurants. Of course, this shouldn't be an indication to change that 😉! The restaurant is bright and clean, there is enough space and the staff is helpful and friendly.

Ich kenne die Austernbar seit Jahren und bin immer wieder gern hier oben in der 6. Etage. Nach der Renovation wirkt alles frischer. Die Auster war gratiniert und passend dazu der leckere Riesling! Die Mannschaft ist extrem serviceorientiert!

We tried the Jazz Brunch last week. We like being on the 6th floor, so we wanted to try the 7th this time. What can we say... the selection is really big, but there is a big negative point when it comes to the quality of service. There is NO, you have to clear your own plates/trays - rather clear the table of plates and take them away. For twice the price, you can also add seafood, which in my opinion is a bit “ridiculous” as you could have made more of it. In addition, NO DRINKS are included, just a glass of Prosecco or champagne for the big brunch. I'd rather go to the 6th and eat for the price of €85 (2 people) including drinks.

If you're not expecting a restaurant, it's a good place for a quality snack. I can highly recommend the mango salmon bowl and also the curry sausage with French fries. Many dishes are freshly prepared. But that also takes some time. In addition to the dishes from the cooking stations, there is also a buffet with these dishes, which are priced according to the 100g principle. Every main course comes with a discounted coffee voucher. The cake buffet offers a lot of choice and everything is of very good quality. A good place for lunch or coffee.

Were in Berlin yesterday and then on the 7th floor at KaDeWe, great view over Berlin and a damn good burger. It was a reasonable portion for one and not too much. Finally, have a piece of cake and then continue shopping... It's worth a visit

Hervorragender Service, nette Mitarbeiter, erstklassige Angebote. Nicht zum ersten Mal hier, aber immer gerne wieder. Ein Highlight in Berlin, absolut empfehlenswert.

Wonderful Customer Service as soon as you walk inside everyone’s friendly. The atmosphere is open, clean, fresh. We were walked around by the Manager. Who explained everything to us because knew we were not from the country. He Spoke perfect English took us through the restaurant and walked us to each station. He explained to us the process of choosing our meals, and what type of meals that they have. If you come to the six floor, sit down and have some great tasting authentic German food at the Restaurant Wintergarten!

We were there for the jazz brunch and were extremely excited! There was a band playing, which gave off a great atmosphere and the food on offer was amazing, everything was fresh and tasty and straight from the buffet. There was also a glass of Prosecco and a hot drink. Plus the great view, simply perfect.

Wiener Schitzel with fried potatoes and cranberries as the offer of the day sounds great, but the reality is more than sobering. I can safely say that this was by far the worst Wiener Schnitzel of my life. The meat was too thick, tough and flaxy, the fried potatoes were ice cold and rock hard, and the cranberries scooped out of a plastic bucket by the grumpy chef were actually the best part. Simply cheeky and totally overpriced considering the quality offered. Only the South American lady at the checkout was a ray of hope. Never again.

A very atmospheric place for Berlin. I recommend breakfast. There is even a very large selection of seafood, the view is beautiful, you definitely want to come back again and again.

The worst food ever - not recommended at all.

We were at KaDeWe today (Saturday) and wanted to eat the cake and coffee we bought in the sixth class upstairs, as it was, as always, impossible to get a seat at the bakery downstairs. When we were told somewhat rudely by the lady who cleans the tables that this wasn't possible if we didn't buy anything in the winter garden. I didn't care after all it was just a matter of a few minutes to eat the piece of cake. We had almost made it when the manager came and told us to leave the place, saying “Wintergarten is only a tenant and we don't make any sales, the bakery downstairs has the sales”. To be honest, on the one hand I understand it but it has nothing to do with customer friendliness, after all we didn't bring food from the street, but from a floor below and in the end it's a house. You could be a little more accommodating to guests in this regard, especially if they have a royal card and if it is known downstairs at the bakery that there are only four tables. Conclusion: the winter garden no longer gets my money, I will think twice about whether I eat something there, especially since you read the review and you are clearly better off in the sixth.

The Wintergarten restaurant at KaDeWe is on Tauentzienstr. 21 - 24, in 10789 Berlin. In this respect, this is a classy restaurant - 7th floor. I always meet nice guests here. Both locals and tourists. This means I can make social contacts with other people. I recently drank a nice beer here and ate a beef roulade with red cabbage and buttered potatoes. The paint is off. The quality of the completely overpriced food is now really shocking. Certainly not even a trainee chef would have messed up the Egg Benedict like that. There seems to be no quality control here anymore. The prices are beyond good and evil. We paid 60 EUR for 3 people including a warm drink. No frills. Things were certainly better in the past, but here the quality has declined rapidly.

I enjoy buying my American snacks and microwave popcorn 😊 if you use a rack for your microwave popcorn you will discover that the popcorn is 100 % popped 😂🤣😅

Liebe Mitbürger/Innen! Das Ambiente sowie das Essen haben nur wenig bis gar nichts mit dem vom Restaurant versprochenen zu tun. Der Preis wiederum passt sich gut an das Erdgeschoss des Kaufhauses an, welches, wie den meisten bekannt ist kaum leistbar ist. Der Geschmack des Essens ähnelt einem veralteten U-Bahn-Imbiss! Ich hoffe sehr, dass die Zukunft dieses Restaurants im KaDeWe noch einmal überdacht wird, denn jede McDonald‘s Filiale begegnet diesem Restaurant auf Augenhöhe! Liebe Grüße, ihr Mitbürger

Klassiker für Berliner und Touristen. Einmal im Obersten Stock die Aussicht und das Flair Berlins genießen. Die Preise sind dem Ambiente geschuldet hoch, aber angemessen.

Kuchen und Essen wie gewohnt gut auch vegane Kuchen sehr gut das Personal war sehr freundlich es war als würden sie sich gut verstehen und das merkte man an der Laune leider ist der Wintergarten auch schon in die Jahre gekommen und könnte ma einen neuen Anstrich gebrauchen

Gute Aussicht über einen kleinen Teil von Berlin. Nicht besonders sauber. Einfaches Essen. Tablettablage war immer übervoll.

Große Auswahl Gemütlich Sauber Aber die Fenster und Glasdecke sind schmutzig . Obwohl man sitz ganz gerne am Fenster um Aussicht zu genießen.

Wie immer erholsam für eine Kaffeepause mit einem leckeren Stück Kuchen dazu. Ich sitze gerne am Fenster zum Tauentzien und dort stören manchmal die Touris die nur rausschauen wollen. Damit muss man halt leben, ist ja auch schön, wenn unser KaDeWe so beliebt ist.

Preise waren für meinen Meinung zu hoch fürs Standart essen. Service Standart. Vor allem wenn man den Service vom Rest des kdw kennt.

Das modernisierte Austernbar in KaDeWe ist vielleicht für manche kitschig oder für Snobs gegolten. Für mich bedeutet es Tradition und Art des Lebens. Ich mag hier in der Woche um Mittagszeit vorbei zu kommen und Paar Austern guter Wahl, frisch und dazu mit gut ausgewähltem Weißwein zu speisen. Durch die Renovierung hat die Bar mehr Schlicht und Eleganz bekommen, so das man hier gerne Zeit verbringt. Service ist nett, hilfsbereit und kann empfehlen. Die Preise sind nicht übertrieben teuer. BofG - Wiederkommen/Empfehlungsfaktor (0-100%): 75% Für mich diese Bar ist wie Austern Bar in Grand Central in New York ein Muss für Austernliebhaber.

Oh, das Wintergarten Restaurant im KaDeWe ist einfach ein zauberhafter Ort! Von dem Moment an, als ich das Restaurant betrat, wurde ich von einer warmen und gemütlichen Atmosphäre empfangen. Die Einrichtung ist elegant und stilvoll, mit wunderschönen Pflanzen und Dekorationselementen, die eine einladende Stimmung erzeugen. Das Menü im Wintergarten Restaurant ist einfach fantastisch! Die Auswahl an Gerichten ist vielfältig und jedes einzelne Gericht, das ich probiert habe, war ein kulinarisches Meisterwerk. Die Qualität der Zutaten ist erstklassig und die Zubereitung der Gerichte ist perfekt. Egal, ob man eine leichte Salatvariation oder ein köstliches Hauptgericht wählt, man wird definitiv nicht enttäuscht sein. Der Service im Wintergarten Restaurant verdient ebenfalls höchstes Lob. Wenn wir in Berlin sind, gehen wir immer in den Wintergarten zum Frühstücken. Das Angebot ist phänomenal, vor allem das gebratene Gemüse. Billig ist's nicht, aber die Qualität rechtfertigt den Preis. Die Aussicht ist super. Probiert es unbedingt aus.

Tourist trap and way overpriced!

Tolle Location mit Blick über die Stadt. Wir hatten einen Tisch am Fenster und konnten den schönen Ausblick genießen. Die Servicekräfte waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch die Auswahl und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis am Brunch Buffet haben uns sehr zugesagt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

riesige Auswahl in einer Art Selbstbedienungskantine, Essen wir an manchen Stationen frisch gemacht, z.B. Currywurst, Steaks, Bowls, anderes wie Rouladen, Schweinshaxe o.ä. liegt unter Wärmelampen und wird eben wie in solchen Selbstbedienungsrestaurants warm gehalten, schade drum. Es gibt exquisites wie Austern und Champagner auch, nur vermute ich, dass viele die es sich leisten können, ungern in einem Selbstbedienungsrestaurant so etwas zu sich nehmen möchten. Flair ist wie das einer hochwertigen Kantine im 7. Stock des KaDeWe im Wintergarten, helle Räumlichkeiten, jedoch eher im guten Kantinenstil

Tolles Ambiente, nicht ganz billig aber jeden Euro wert

Het heeft de sfeer van een wegrestaurant met hele hoge prijzen...

Unpersönlich, nur noch Selbstbedienung. Das war mal anders als das KADEWE noch in alleiniger Deutscher Hand war. Service kennt nur noch das "Altpersonal".

Es war, super dort gewesen. Der Blick, von der 7. Etage, auf Berlin, der Hammer.

TOP Aussicht. TOP Essen. Man kann gut dort sitzen und verweilen. Absolut empfehlenswert

Un self service di alto livello dove mangiare è anche un piacere della vista... Un panorama molto bello.

Herrliche Perspektive über den Dächern von Berlin bei guter Gastronomie (Frühstück & Mittag) mit reichlich Kuchen, Cake, Kaffee zur Kaffezeit und umzu! Lohnt sich ebenfalls vorbei zu schauen auf zumindest Kaffee oder Tee mit herrlich Blick, wenn auch nur gen Süden.

Schöner Wintergarten aber leider eben nur ein Restaurant wie in allen Kaufhäusern

Ich fühle mich hier unfassbar Arm. Ich meine, ich komme aus Bremerhaven, dem größten Crackloch was ich kenne und dann sitze ich hier in so einem Luxusrestaurant und kann mir nichts leisten.

Mein Stück Torte fand ich jetzt nicht so toll, trocken.

Erstklassiger Service durch den aufmerksamen Hakan, der durch behutsame Empfehlungen beim Gast ein echtes „Herzlich Willkommen“ erzeugen kann! Diese Kultur vermisse ich leider mittlerweile in vielen Restaurants… Es hat Spass gemacht, sich zuhause zu fühlen…weiter so!

As all the reviews say, this place only exists to make money when they rent it out for big events. They don't care if you come eat here or not. The buffet seem to be poorly maintained. They close the kitchen early, at 7 pm, and if you come close to that hour most things will not be available or not fresh.

Seit Ewigkeiten sind wir Kunden im Kadewe. Doch dieses Kantinenpersonal im 7.OG war so unverschämt unfreundlich, das hatten wir auch noch nicht erlebt. Man sollte solche Leute nicht hier beschäftigen.

Very nice sitting area. Great view and friendly staff. It is not a buffet as stated some places but a food court where you pay per 100g of food. Everything tasted great.

Un lugar para comer comida por peso pero a alto costo, gran variedad de platos y postres, de sabor nada extraordinario. El ambiente y el lugar cómo tal es lindo.

Wegen der Exklusivität bin ich hier. Auch höhere Preise sind angemessen, wenn die Qualität dazu passt. Daher ist das billige 29 Cent Aufbackbrötchen beim Frühstück für 1,70.- € eine Frechheit. Und der Automatenkaffee auch

An sich schön gemacht, viel Platz, alles schön angerichtet, nur leider war das Essen für den Preis einfach nicht angemessen. Ich hatte einen Teller mit vielen schön aussehenden Salaten, die geschmacklich nicht annähernd dem entsprachen, was ich sonst aus KaDeWe vom Essen her kenne. Sehr schade. Die 2 Sterne gibts für das Ambiente und die Aussicht.

Das Essen war nur in Ordnung. Im Verhältnis zum Preis jedoch absolut ungerechtfertigt.

Diese Cafeteria ist wirklich schlecht. Unfassbar dass sowas im KaDeWe ist. Die Bedienung ist weder nett noch hilfsbereit. Der Kaffee ist schlecht (Automaten Kaffee). Ich fühlte mich wie in einer sehr schlechten Mensa.
