The Westernacher restaurant left mixed impressions. The atmosphere was cozy with a nice view of the lake, and the staff was very friendly. The portions were large and the dessert COPPA CROCCANTE was really tasty. Unfortunately, the roast roast I ordered, which was supposed to be grilled medium, was not only medium well, but also very tough and bland, which I didn't like at all. The prices are okay, but the menu was old and partly torn - it urgently needs to be renewed. Overall a nice restaurant but there are some points that should be improved.

Here nothing is left to be desired in terms of cuisine, the word “full” is and can be capitalized here. The food is sumptuous and really tasty, and the dishes are also well laid out on the plate. The waiters and waitresses are all very friendly and accommodating; sometimes you are seduced into eating and don't even notice it.

Well, food didn't come together. The waitress didn't really feel like it either. When I asked and asked if everything was right, I said, that's fine. There was no question and no goodbye. I'm from the catering industry myself, it doesn't work at all

The service was very friendly, unfortunately the pizza was inedible. Strange cheese, definitely not mozzarella and unfortunately cold. Nice view.

Where KINDNESS is a foreign word! Even though we made reservations many weeks ago and informed us that we were coming as a large group of people with disabilities, the service was subpar! What did we miss: CUSTOMER FOCUS! SERVICE! FRIENDLY STAFF! They only responded to wishes with great protest and were not prepared to ensure a pleasant stay for a group of over 20 people! No "small" portions, 1 pizza for 2 was only prepared under protest! Not only will we no longer visit this restaurant, but we will also not recommend it to people with disabilities!!

The service staff was very friendly and very quick. The schnitzel was good, the cordon bleu also tasted good, but unfortunately only lukewarm. Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with the onion roast for €27. The taste is good, but the roasted or fried potatoes are not properly fried and instead of ready-made fried onions you can actually expect fried onion rings (€27). Unfortunately, the promenade view cannot make up for this point, sorry. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the hotel.

Very bad service! I only got the menu upon request and then the waiter just stood around and never came back to take the order. Left after 20 minutes without drinking or eating. If you don't want to, you've probably already made enough money. Never again!

Sundae arrived already melted. When asked why it was only "because of the heat" since the ice cream sundae had just been served, it leaves us thinking. Unfortunately very disappointing.

DO NOT ORDER PIZZA!! If I could give it a negative review I would. I ordered Pizza Margarita. Cheese? non-existent Thickness? Well its see through. Maaaybe its 0.1mm maybe 0.05mm Also three of my friends ordered also pizzas, what happend? -same ****

The welcome wasn't that great, but after ordering it became a little more pleasant. There are certainly worse employees in this area, but there are certainly also much friendlier employees!

It's a shame... Five of us ate there. The waiter offered a salad for the main course. Everyone thought this was included. No, it was then charged extra. The salad with chicken strips is a green salad with two breaded schnitzels. Do you have to know? And then there's the question of whether pizza bread should be served. When the food came, of course there was bread with the main course and instead of boiled potatoes there were fried potatoes... Overall, we had the impression that we were taken by surprise by the service, a bitter aftertaste for an otherwise lovely evening with a great view.

We happened to be at Chiemsee yesterday. I ordered the suckling pig including 3 dishes and our children had the schnitzel platter. The service was very friendly and the food was delivered to the table very quickly. The food tasted very tasty. We had a beautiful view of Lake Chiemsee.

It was our first time at the restaurant - but it definitely won't be the last time! I don't know whether I should thank the chef or our waiter Julian for the great experience. The food came quickly, was super tasty, the price-performance ratio was right, with friendly and courteous service and a view of Lake Chiemsee - what more could you want! The Westernacher restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

I was just passing through and only had breakfast. The wellness breakfast was super delicious!

The view from the terrace is magnificent. But that's the only interest of this restaurant. As for their American burger, it’s one of the worst I’ve eaten. Better to go to a certain fast food chain... We won't be back. As for the extra 5th fries, it's completely nonsense. Especially when the portion is ridiculously sized and overcooked.

Went here to drink two Afogato. There was only one size on the menu, for €4.30. Unfortunately, the spoons we were given were both dirty and sticky. When we were cashing out, the waitress said that we had gotten a large Afogato and that it therefore cost €5.50. When we ordered we weren't asked what size we wanted. Afogato was delicious, hence 2 stars. But for the price the service is a disgrace.

The dish on the menu, Aubergine Israel, sounded light and summery to me (according to the description on the menu). Unfortunately, the announced yogurt was a ready-made curry sauce that didn't taste good. There was no taste of cumin. The cherry tomatoes were missing, but the waiter kindly supplied them. The service was very positive and attentive. The restaurant manager took a lot of time and looked for solutions. My goal was not to question the work of the restaurant or even to personally insult the restaurant manager. If this is how it came across, I am very sorry. That was not my intention.

Perfect service! Even extra requests are a no-go :-) Very very child friendly. My girls were allowed to choose a small toy. The spaetzle is homemade and excellent. The pizza has a crispy thin base and the pork tenderloin is wonderfully crispy. Perfect restaurant with a view of Lake Chiemsee :-)

Ich liebe das Lokal! Die Bedienung Marco ist ein Traum. Er erinnert sich an seine Gäste, die immer wieder kommen. Wir haben immer was zum Lachen und gleichzeitig gibt er sehr gute Empfehlungen zum Essen und trinken. Allgemein ist es mittlerweile für mich wie heimkommen. Ich kann das Restaurant nur allen empfehlen. Vor allem eins muss man dazu sagen: sie haben immer geöffnet. Auch zu Zeiten wo es am chiemsee sehr ruhig ist. Wenn ich Freunde und Bekannte mitnehme gab es noch nie Beschwerden. Mit gutem Essen und einem guten Wein und Blick auf den See … gibt nix schöneres! Ich werde immer Stammgast sein und bleiben :)!

This was our second time at this restaurant. We liked it so much the first time that we went on a bike ride of over an hour just because of the good food, the great ambience, the very nice and attentive staff, especially "Cay". We are very enthusiastic about this restaurant. If we didn't live over 700km away, we would certainly stop there often. One thing is clear to us: you can get good food at a good price here and if we go on holiday here again at some point, we will definitely come back to you!!!!!

Wir sind nach der Schifffahrt von der Herreninsel zurückgekehrt und haben in Prien eine Lokalität zum Abendessen und gemütlichem Einkehren gesucht. Uns ist das Lokal direkt am Ufer aufgefallen, der Biergarten war gut besucht und sah sehr einladend und gemütlich aus und die Lage direkt am See mit Blick auf die Berge hat uns überzeugt. Wir kamen genau zu einem Zeitpunkt, als es sehr voll wurde und die Bedienungen alle Hände voll zutun hatten. Trotzdem wurden wir sehr freundlich begrüßt, erhielten schnell die Karte. Getränke und Speisen kamen trotz des hohen Gästeaufkommens zügig und waren geschmacklich hervorragend. Besonders erwähnen möchten wir die überaus freundliche und immer sehr bemühte Bedienung von Julian. Er war trotz vollem Haus stets gut gelaunt, freundlich und sehr um das Wohl aller Gäste, inklusive uns, bemüht und als es ruhiger wurde für einen kurzen Plausch und sowieso immer für einen Spaß zu haben. Wir haben uns in dieser tollen Atmosphäre super wohl gefühlt und sind sehr viel länger geblieben und haben mehr bestellt als geplant. Wir kommen definitiv wieder, wenn wir wieder in der Gegend sind.

We were looking for a restaurant for dinner on Saturday with a bachelor party and 11 beer-loving men and decided on the Westernacher. We received excellent service from Marco and had a great time including great food. Even our wishes, such as filling a watering can with beer, were taken into account. Absolute recommendation and thanks for the schnapps!

Never had such bad ice cream before. We bought 1 scoop of ice cream twice as we walked past. €2 was charged per ball and the balls were of different sizes. One was so small that it almost slipped into the waffle and one was normal. But the taste!!! We have never eaten such bad ice cream. It tasted as if powder had been mixed with water and made into ice cream. I would never eat there again. Oh yes, and the payment process was unnecessarily complicated. We were alone at the ice cream counter. I then had to step to the side of the counter, “say” what I wanted again and pay. Then they gave me a receipt and then went back to the counter and got my ice cream. CRAZINESS

Funny, fast service with sales talent, but a bit hectic. Food was ok, but expensive.

We had lunch here today on June 28th, 2024. The food was very good, we had vegetables and chicken from the wok. The waiter Marko was very nice, friendly and accommodating.

Utopian prices. Service is not very friendly, it just runs past you. Maybe there is a lack of people. Unfortunately the toilet stinks. Toilet seat crooked. The next table waits forever for cream to go with the cake and then leaves it standing. Pizza looked and smelled good. Discussions about “we are a team and it’s not about the money” in front of the customer. I do not know. The location is fantastic. Drinks were delicious but incredibly expensive.

We had dinner in this restaurant several years ago and since it was good back then and the location is nice, we went again this time and were very disappointed. We ate gnocchi and roast suckling pig. Unfortunately the gnocchi didn't taste good, felt like it came from a pre-packaged package and was over-salted. The suckling pig was still ok, but had certainly been on the warming plate for a very long time. In addition, the food didn't come at the same time, hence only two stars.

Room 1 star because we don't know it. Service excellent, every staff member says hello upon arrival or departure. Location yes, perfect, especially if you sit on the outer edge, with a wonderful view of the water and the beautiful German Alps. Food was delicious Monday 1st evening, Wednesday the 2nd evening during the European Championships..

I went here yesterday evening with my friends. Waiter Julian was awesome, he had the vibe. Behind us sat the old Germans whom he served and they were very unpleasant but he kept his cool and was amazing. We will definitely be back. Don’t be rude to your waiters.

This beer garden will be my favorite place in Prien. Went there three mornings in a row for coffee. The service is great, the food and drink is also great and then the wonderful view of Lake Chiemsee is just great. The Westernacher is highly recommended. We'd love to come back next time we're on holiday.
