It was very tasty. Went there without a reservation. We were first given a small table and ate our salad there. Then we were given a larger table and we had a great time sitting there and eating the schnitzel we ordered. It was a bit noisy due to the background noise, but the very friendly staff made up for it. And the schnitzel was really great. Definitely would like to come back.

It was the best decision we could have made. A little inconspicuous from the outside, very cozy and inviting from the inside. We had reserved a table for 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. The food was a 15 out of 10, just like grandma used to do, very tasty!! We treated ourselves to a seasonal goose leg with red cabbage and dumplings, a dream! The service was very courteous, warm and in a good mood! We'll definitely come back! Best regards! ☺️

Efficient, friendly and plentiful. We tasted some generously served German specialties. Our table neighbors opted for the shank which seemed excellent (but you need a huge appetite). Very friendly service.

We really ate the best knuckle ever here. Super juicy, super crispy on the outside, not too salty, but well seasoned and with homemade mashed potatoes and sauerkraut. We are tried and tested and can judge this very well. 22 euros might seem a bit too expensive, but we are in Düsseldorf city. It's generally more expensive there anyway and the food was worth every cent. The landlord is quick, funny and nice and always has a quick saying ready. We even drank a digestive schnapps together later. (not a brush cleaner, but the old varieties from Prinz) We really give it a very clear recommendation and a full 5 stars. If you like to eat a good knuckle, this is the right place for you. Oh, what I don't want to ignore is that there is also fresh Guinness on tap here, which isn't everyday either.

We sat outside on a warm summer evening. Unfortunately, it was very noisy at times due to the busy street and tram next to it. The service was ok, but unfortunately came a little too rarely. Unfortunately, many of the dishes on the menu and on the daily menu were no longer available. My meal was basically okay and tasted good, but it wasn't a highlight... All in all, a good visit to the restaurant.

This is a local restaurant. I went because I heard Haksen was delicious, but I didn't see Haksen on the menu, so I ordered something else, but it was really, really delicious! Be sure to try this!! [Knuspriges Pfannengyros vom Schweinenacken] Goes perfectly with real beer!!!

Food is good, unfortunately you often have to wait longer. Ambiance is rustic, service tries to remain friendly. But obviously always stressed and comes across as very arrogant because you really want to be relaxed, funny and quick-witted, which sometimes backfires when your performance isn't right. You get used to it...

Starting with the relaxed and friendly welcome from the waiter, it was a successful afternoon to strengthen ourselves before the Germany game. We had 2x schnitzel farmer style and 1x daily recommendation schnitzel with onion/cream sauce. The food was very good, hot and very large portions. Delicious old beer or Krefeld beer rounded the whole thing off. The beer garden is right on the street, which was a bit noisy, but everyone should be aware of that given the location. The waiter has a funny and direct manner. We would like to come back.

Very friendly staff (you don't find that often these days, especially when there's a lot of stress and this one was there to visit). We stayed in Düsseldorf for one night and went there to eat because of the many positive reviews - we didn't regret it. Prices were reasonable, decent portions and there was a salad at the front. Wir sind jedes Jahr zwei mal anlässlich einer Messe in Düsseldorf. Die Altstadt ist ganz nett zum flanieren, jedoch zum Essen wollen wir dort nicht mehr hin. Ein Blick in Tripadvisor weckte unser Interesse am Vossen. Über Open Table konnten wir einen Tisch im Außenbereich reservieren. Liegt an einer großen Kreuzung, viel Verkehr, aber wir sind ja auch in einer Großstadt. Tische stehen mit komfortablen Abstand zueinander, der Kellner machte einen Top Job. Wir hatten noch Rückfragen zum Gericht die sehr speziell waren. Er ging sofort zur Küche um unsere Frage zu klären. Getränke kamen super gekühlt und sehr schnell, das Essen war geschmacklich das beste was ich seit langem in einer Gastronomie bekommen habe. Portion reichlich, meine Frau konnte nicht alles essen. Absolute Empfehlung, wir kommen im Winter zur Boot-Messe wieder.

We ate there today, the food was very tasty, large portions, but very poor service. The waiter was very inattentive and somehow unfriendly. We asked several times if we could have a dish without onion due to an allergy. He made us feel annoyed with us and STILL didn't bring the dish without onions despite the promise. We didn't give any tips.

Really unfriendly waiter. I was there with my parents. When we arrived, the waiter ignored us and just ran away. When I asked if there was a free table, the waiter showed with his hand that we should choose a table ourselves. When we went to a table the waiter yelled at us to wait for him because he was going to show us a table. We left afterward because we simply didn't feel like eating anymore. This restaurant is simply not recommended!

Was there recently with my 80 year old mother. Instead of respect for her age, she only experienced scorn and ridicule. Something like that is disrespectful and not good service and therefore a visit to this restaurant is not recommended!

Excellent meal of farmhouse schnitzel which came with a salad starter. The altbier (schlosse alt) is typically good for German beer. The staff were really friendly, spoke good English and the service was quick and efficient.

Eating at Vossen is always excellent. Delicious German beers and even tastier schnitzel. Highly recommended for a bite to eat.

We were so excited about our vacation in April that we really wanted to eat at Vossen again during our summer vacation. I had already reserved a table from home. It was a total hectic when we arrived English instead of medium and there were fries instead of the fried potatoes we ordered. After repeated requests, the snooty waiter brought the fried potatoes we ordered. The dessert came with sauce instead of ice cream. That was it for us. The boss himself was very hectic, there was no sign of a relaxed meal. For 180 euros we will eat somewhere else in the future. For us there will be no repeat.

Schnitzel with mushroom cream and spaghetti carbonara are highly recommended. It was super delicious with you. Drunk old for the first time, really good :) Going home, Bavaria. Best regards to the kitchen and the nice hospitality.

You can reserve your table online and that worked at very short notice. We had a table outside and it was very tidy and there was enough space for 4 people at the table. The waiter came quickly and took our order. The drinks came quickly and our four dishes also came at the same time. The food was very good and the steaks came to the desired degree of doneness. Only the price is a bit steep and the menu on the website should be updated as the prices have increased by at least 2 euros.

I was chocked with the pork Knuckles, it's soo well done and tasty. The portion is huge so don't order any sides with it! You might even want to skip the beer until you're done eating...! Great service, fast and friendly. Atmosphere is good, a bit noisy outside due to the trains and cars driving by.

We were turned away from the restaurant in the pouring rain by an unhelpful member of staff for not having a reservation, despite Vossen's website clearly stating that no reservations can be made. They told us all of the tables were booked even though the place was mostly empty less than twenty minutes before kick-off of the game we were there to see. We then sheltered over the road at Aroma Bar, which had a very attentive bartender who gave us a prime view of the game on a big screen. Interestingly, it had the same menu as Vossen, allowing us to enjoy the food we wanted anyway. I would advise sports fans to avoid Vossen, which has a poor location outside of central Dusseldorf, leaving you with few options if you are turned away too.

We ordered 4 x baked pork knuckle. After an hour, the waiter appeared and asked if it could be boneless meat. It turned out, however, that we received torn pieces of pork shank and God knows what, replaced with potatoes in oil. This was the pork knuckle. I will add, it applies to 4 people

I am always amazed by the food that is available at a fair price (for Düsseldorf). The drinks menu also has a lot to offer and I always get along well. Key Old on tap. Delicious! In season there are also very tasty mussels. And of course the changing weekly menu. Then I remember, I haven't been there for too long ;-) Update 2024: I ate there again today. As before - everything was great, service was top! The food, as always, was simply good.

Es ist super leckeres Essen Straßenbahn Anbindung Busanbindung direkt vor der Tür und Taxi kann man auch bestellen. Also alles prima .

Hello, there were six of us at Vossen, the service was good and friendly, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Nice, typical Düsseldorf gastronomy: nice ambience, good and fast waiters, delicious food, cold beer. It was our first time in Vossens and we just wanted to try it out. We were very positively surprised and would love to come back soon!

Absolutely awful service. We were left queueing outside for 30 minutes, my 7 month pregnant wife was kept waiting, standing to be sat down at one of the many empty tables available. There were another 3 groups of people waiting in the queue with us but about 6-7 empty tables for us all to be sat at. When we finally did get sat down nobody came to serve us for 20 minutes. We saw there were multiple tables who were sat down before us without even a drink, who knows how long they were waiting! There was just absolutely no organisation to how the waiting staff were working, one moment the woman on the bar was pouring drinks, then she leaves these drinks on the counter to go serve food and then a waiter will go and pour some drinks and take them to another table while the bar lady will go to another table to clear their drinks, nobody was taking the drinks on the counter to where they should be going!! Another waitress would be chatting for ages with a table even thoughtyere are tables waiting for their orders to be taken and a queue of people waiting outside. The male waiter this night was especially rude. Never even acknowledged us while we were queuing or waiting to be served. When we did try to get his attention he just walked past us shouting 'One moment!!' That was the last straw for us, we left that minute to another restaurant by Alex where we were sat down and served within 2 minutes. In fact we finished our meal quicker there, than it took us to be served here. If you find your self considering this restaurant don't bother, spend the extra 5 minutes to walk to Antoniushof bei Alex where they have the exact same menu in a quieter part of town and no obnoxious music but the staff will also actually serve you and treat you kindly.

Since we were treated there in an impossible way, there will be no stars...

La comida está súper buena, nos pedimos un Schnitzlel y un codillo de cerdo , super tierna. Recomiendo ir a este sitio, pero hay que reservar antes porque suele estar ocupado. Está un poco fuera del centro pero merece la pena.

Wir waren an einem Montag mit 3 Personen im Restaurant. Dieses war gut gefüllt, weshalb sich unsere elektronische Reservierung als vorausschauend erwiesen hat. Das gutbürgerliche Essen war von sehr guter Qualität und die Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend. Man kann hier sehr gut speisen ohne das Chi-Chi von Restaurants auf ähnlichem Niveau. Gerne wieder, falls wieder in Düsseldorf sind.
