Excellent meal of farmhouse schnitzel which came with a salad starter. The altbier (schlosse alt) is typically good for German beer. The staff were really friendly, spoke good English and the service was quick and efficient.

Eating at Vossen is always excellent. Delicious German beers and even tastier schnitzel. Highly recommended for a bite to eat.

We were so excited about our vacation in April that we really wanted to eat at Vossen again during our summer vacation. I had already reserved a table from home. It was a total hectic when we arrived English instead of medium and there were fries instead of the fried potatoes we ordered. After repeated requests, the snooty waiter brought the fried potatoes we ordered. The dessert came with sauce instead of ice cream. That was it for us. The boss himself was very hectic, there was no sign of a relaxed meal. For 180 euros we will eat somewhere else in the future. For us there will be no repeat.

Schnitzel with mushroom cream and spaghetti carbonara are highly recommended. It was super delicious with you. Drunk old for the first time, really good :) Going home, Bavaria. Best regards to the kitchen and the nice hospitality.

You can reserve your table online and that worked at very short notice. We had a table outside and it was very tidy and there was enough space for 4 people at the table. The waiter came quickly and took our order. The drinks came quickly and our four dishes also came at the same time. The food was very good and the steaks came to the desired degree of doneness. Only the price is a bit steep and the menu on the website should be updated as the prices have increased by at least 2 euros.

I was chocked with the pork Knuckles, it's soo well done and tasty. The portion is huge so don't order any sides with it! You might even want to skip the beer until you're done eating...! Great service, fast and friendly. Atmosphere is good, a bit noisy outside due to the trains and cars driving by.

We ordered 4 x baked pork knuckle. After an hour, the waiter appeared and asked if it could be boneless meat. It turned out, however, that we received torn pieces of pork shank and God knows what, replaced with potatoes in oil. This was the pork knuckle. I will add, it applies to 4 people

Unfortunately, I'm not there as often anymore since we moved away. But when we're in the old neighborhood again, we like to go there. I am always amazed by the food that is available at a fair price (for Düsseldorf). The drinks menu also has a lot to offer and I always get along well. Key Old on tap. Delicious! In season there are also very tasty mussels. And of course the changing weekly menu. Then I remember, I haven't been there for too long ;-) Update 2024: I ate there again today. As before - everything was great, service was top! The food, as always, was simply good.

We had reserved a table in advance, which is also recommended. The service is very fast and attentive and always ready to have fun. Therefore there is a very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Ich komm extra aus ein ganz anderen Stadtteil und nehmen dafür sogar ne Dreiviertelstunde Fahrt auf , also bewegt euren Hintern hier her. Es ist super leckeres Essen Straßenbahn Anbindung Busanbindung direkt vor der Tür und Taxi kann man auch bestellen. Also alles prima .

Hello, there were six of us at Vossen, the service was good and friendly, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Nice, typical Düsseldorf gastronomy: nice ambience, good and fast waiters, delicious food, cold beer. It was our first time in Vossens and we just wanted to try it out. We were very positively surprised and would love to come back soon!

The orders can be taken very fast, food is delivered quick, and is great. I had a nice snizel with a big salad for only 20 euros.

Absolutely awful service. We were left queueing outside for 30 minutes, my 7 month pregnant wife was kept waiting, standing to be sat down at one of the many empty tables available. There were another 3 groups of people waiting in the queue with us but about 6-7 empty tables for us all to be sat at. When we finally did get sat down nobody came to serve us for 20 minutes. We saw there were multiple tables who were sat down before us without even a drink, who knows how long they were waiting! There was just absolutely no organisation to how the waiting staff were working, one moment the woman on the bar was pouring drinks, then she leaves these drinks on the counter to go serve food and then a waiter will go and pour some drinks and take them to another table while the bar lady will go to another table to clear their drinks, nobody was taking the drinks on the counter to where they should be going!! Another waitress would be chatting for ages with a table even thoughtyere are tables waiting for their orders to be taken and a queue of people waiting outside. The male waiter this night was especially rude. Never even acknowledged us while we were queuing or waiting to be served. When we did try to get his attention he just walked past us shouting 'One moment!!' That was the last straw for us, we left that minute to another restaurant by Alex where we were sat down and served within 2 minutes. In fact we finished our meal quicker there, than it took us to be served here. If you find your self considering this restaurant don't bother, spend the extra 5 minutes to walk to Antoniushof bei Alex where they have the exact same menu in a quieter part of town and no obnoxious music but the staff will also actually serve you and treat you kindly.

Since we were treated there in an impossible way, there will be no stars...

La comida está súper buena, nos pedimos un Schnitzlel y un codillo de cerdo , super tierna. Recomiendo ir a este sitio, pero hay que reservar antes porque suele estar ocupado. Está un poco fuera del centro pero merece la pena.

Wir waren an einem Montag mit 3 Personen im Restaurant. Dieses war gut gefüllt, weshalb sich unsere elektronische Reservierung als vorausschauend erwiesen hat. Das gutbürgerliche Essen war von sehr guter Qualität und die Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend. Man kann hier sehr gut speisen ohne das Chi-Chi von Restaurants auf ähnlichem Niveau. Gerne wieder, falls wieder in Düsseldorf sind.

Unfortunately one of the waiters isn't exactly friendly. As soon as we sat at the table, we were told harshly that the table had already been reserved. So eat quickly and leave quickly...quite a shame

Düsseldorf as a restaurant. Authentic, honest, delicious.

The prices don't work at all! Despite the VAT increase, it's simply outrageous. Other restaurants do it differently without fleecing their guests! And the food isn't that great either. We'll soon be going somewhere else in Bilk where it's affordable!

I’m not the type of person to go back and leave negative comments but this was a situation that definitely compelled me to share my experience. First off, the food… fantastic. This is not about the food. I took a team of my employees out to Vossen to recap our European work trip, spend some time talking shop over dinner, and overall just enjoy our last night out before flying home the next day. At first no problem. We ordered some beers, put in some small dishes to start and were enjoying the night. Shortly after, our waiter starts making some very awkward advances toward me. And look, I’m light hearted and can easily just brush off what’s intended to be a joke or some friendly banter. But when he started coming by and putting his hands on me, making very aggressive advances, and saying things I’m not going to put out publicly, it went way too far. It was really uncomfortable and weird. I’d made a point to try and defuse the situation but it only got worse. Here I am trying to have some conversation with my colleagues and this waiter is hanging over me. Seriously weird. Even that, I can brush off. What made things far more uncomfortable was when the waiter followed my colleague and I into the men’s room and started rubbing my shoulders while I’m taking a piss and making comments as he’s watching over my shoulder! Seriously! That happened. As I’m paying the bill he even grabs my credit card and takes note of my name. I’ve been all over the world, am totally fine with some banter, but this was just so bizarre. Bar tender and staff obviously saw what was going on. It was not much of surprise to them which leads me to believe this happens more than a few times. We will definitely head elsewhere next year. If you’re reading this, I suggest you do as well.

Zum Glück hatten wir einen Tisch reserviert, denn schon 30 Minuten nach der Öffnung war das Lokal rappelvoll. Ein sehr gutes Zeichen! Wir bestellten uns erst Mal ein frisch gezapftes Bier und einen Aperitif. Der Service war sofort sehr aufmerksam und schnell, alles lief locker-flockig ab. Zur Vorspeise wählten wir zum einen die pikante Gulaschsuppe und zum anderen den gebeizten Lachs mit Rösti und Salat. Beides hat fantastisch geschmeckt und auch die Portionsgröße war ordentlich. Weiter ging es mit den Hauptspeisen. Es gab eine Berliner Currywurst mit selbstgemachter Sauce, Pommes und Salat. Und den Düsseldorfer Senfrostbraten vom Rumpsteak. Auch hier stimmte der Geschmack und die Portionsgröße. Super lecker war es und sehr gut abgeschmeckt. Leider hat kein Dessert mehr reingepasst, so dass wir diesen Gang überspringen mussten. Eigentlich ein gutes Zeichen :-) Ein gemütliches Restaurant/Kneipe mit einem schönen Ambiente und leckeren Getränken. Die Toiletten sind zwar etwas oldschool, aber sauber. Zum Schluss gab es vom Kellner noch ein Schnäpschen aufs Haus. Wo gibt es sowas noch?! Insgesamt können wir hier 5 Punkte und eine unbedingte Empfehlung abgeben! Wir kommen wieder!

Good food but poor service. Waiter was hurried and uninterested in answering our questions about the menu choices. When it arrived the food was practically thrown on the table. When our order went wrong we received coffee without having asked for it and with half our company not drinking coffee. While recommending the food we will not come back for the experience.

We hebben enorm genoten van onze avond bij Vossen. Het personeel was heel vriendelijk en de kalfssnitzels waren heerlijk. Op de foto’s ziet dit restaurant er een beetje ouwbollig uit, maar het tegendeel is waar wanneer het restaurant gevuld zit met locals en toerististen die duidelijk hun research gedaan hebben naar authentieke restaurants in Düsseldorf. Zorg dat je zeker reserveert, want op een zaterdagavond zit het hier helemaal vol. Hier komen we zeker terug! 😊
