Restaurant "Villa Gans" - Dorint Hotel Frankfurt/Oberursel in Oberursel (Taunus)

We went there for brunch today. It was very good and we would love to come back again!

We had the set menu. It was delicious. They even accommodated our gluten and lactose intolerances and adapted everything accordingly. Thank you so much!

We've finally found a hotel that we can 100% recommend as a wedding venue. Weddings are often just a side business for hotels, which is something both the bride and groom and the service provider unfortunately notice. This definitely doesn't apply to the Dorint Hotel Oberursel. The team was as dedicated from beginning to end as if it were their own wedding. The venue was beautifully decorated in autumnal style and meticulously maintained. Because of its location in the lower part of the hotel, there were no restrictions on the noise level or length of the celebration. We would be happy to come back anytime.

I live nearby and have eaten at both the restaurant and the hotel bar several times. The service staff are friendly and attentive, and the food is excellent. They serve the best Wiener Schnitzel in the Hochtaunus district.

This was our first visit to the restaurant. We spontaneously called at 12 p.m. and asked if there were any tables available on the terrace. We were simply told that the restaurant was only open until 2 p.m. We went anyway, and at 12:40 p.m. there was no one in the restaurant, not even a waiter. After about 5 minutes, an employee came and told us that the other employees were on their break. We sat down on the empty but beautifully situated terrace. The tables weren't particularly clean and didn't really fit in with the rest of the restaurant. Shortly afterwards, another employee came and brought us the menu. This differed from the online menu. We were informed that the online menu was only valid for evenings. Unfortunately, this isn't clear from the website, and the appetizers, which sounded very delicious, were unfortunately unavailable. These were one of the reasons for choosing the restaurant. We then opted for the Caesar salad, once with shrimp and once with roasted chicken. The salad was very generous, but unfortunately it lacked the typical spicy sauce with anchovies, etc. The shrimp were excellent, but unfortunately overcooked; the fried chicken was fried for far too long and was absolutely dry. Overall, we were very disappointed with the visit.

My wife and I have been enjoying brunch here for years and are always delighted. The pleasure begins with the welcome glass of sparkling wine, which is truly delicious. The food is superb, and over the years the selection of vegetarian dishes has also increased. I'm a vegetarian, and today I enjoyed truffle pasta, pumpkin strudel, and a variety of fine vegetables and salads. Now we're off to the generous dessert, which we always appreciate. The staff are extremely attentive and welcoming. From our perspective, everything is perfect!

Sitting on the terrace in nice weather and looking out at the park is always lovely. The food is very good, and the service is phenomenal.

A hotel restaurant like many others. Nicely done. Nothing else to mention.

The breakfast offered was truly excellent. Very varied and a wide variety of dishes were on offer. Only salmon was missing, but there were plenty of other options.

I celebrated my stepson Sascha and his wife Eva's wedding there. A great party, everything was fantastic. We even slept there. Everything was great.

Villa Gans in Oberursel is often hailed as one of the best restaurants in the region, but my experience was anything but impressive. I went there with my wife based on a recommendation, and we were disappointed by the atmosphere. It felt more like an upscale business hotel, with many large groups of conference guests. For couples seeking an intimate and personal atmosphere, this is certainly not a suitable place. The service staff was formal, polite, and correct, but lacked a bit of personal attention. (No one asked us about a special occasion, for example.) The cold hors d'oeuvre (olives, wild garlic cream, hummus) took an unusually long time to arrive (felt like 20-25 minutes), and the naan bread looked like it had been prefabricated and warmed in a microwave. No other bread was offered, even though there was plenty of hummus and wild garlic cream left at the table. The main course was even more disappointing. The Portuguese brandade was oversalted, so you couldn't really taste the flavors of the dish. The mango pointed cabbage was an original but disappointing experience: it was served with a simple lemon and olive oil combination that didn't really realize the dish's potential; it was far from what it promised. The overall package (service, selection of dishes, taste, presentation, freshness, etc.) is gastronomically mediocre and, in my opinion, falls short of the standards of this establishment. At the end of the evening, we were sent back to the parking garage in the rain without being offered an umbrella at reception. The parking fee for the evening was also not exactly cheap at €6. Overall, our visit to Villa Gans was a disappointing experience. There are certainly better places in Oberursel for a tête-à-tête evening.

Great restaurant with a somewhat chilly atmosphere due to its size. Very friendly and attentive staff. Excellent breakfast, especially the chef for the fried eggs and omelets!

We were here to celebrate my mother's 60th birthday and it was a really nice evening. The food was very good and the atmosphere was fine but not stuffy. The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. We were very happy to have chosen this restaurant for our small celebration.

Wir sind mittlerweile "Wiederholungstäter". Das Frühstück ist super, die Bedienung sehr nett und aufmerksam. Eierspeisen werden nach Wunsch frisch zubereitet und die Smoothies sind immer sehr lecker. Von den Pancakes kann ich auch nur schwärmen. Bis bald!

Ich war wirklich sehr zufrieden: Tolles Essen, schöne Atmosphäre und gute Bedienung.

Super leckeres Frühstücksbuffett, sehr freundliches Personal, helle Räumlichkeiten, viel Platz, Eierspeisen werden individuell zubereitet, frisches Obst, gute Auswahl an Brot, Brötchen und süßen Backwaren, große Käse- und Wurstauswahl, leider kein Lachs und auch am Sonntag kein Angebot von Sekt

Wir waren am zweiten Weihnachtsfeiertag zum Brunch. 🎄 Man fühlt sich dort sehr heimelig. Spezielle Wünsche wurden auch erfüllt. Das Buffet war wie jedes Jahr super und nicht zu übertreffen. Die Restaurantleiterin und der Küchenchef rocken die Hütte. DANKE! Unbedingt jedes Jahr wieder!

Unser Lieblingsrestaurant in Oberursel! Hochwertige Küche mit regionaler Anbindung. Sehr freundlicher und kompetenter Service. Angenehmes Ambiente. Ein Besuch ist zu jedem Anlass und Jahreszeit zu empfehlen.

Super nettes Personal und auch das Essen war sehr sehr lecker es wurde auf meine Allergien eingegangen und das Menü würde extra dafür abgeändert

Schade, dass man vorher nicht wirklich über kulinarische Genüsse über die Web-Side erfährt!
