Delicious buffet, friendly service staff, excellent ambience, everything is indescribably good!

Sunday buffet: very loud, very crowded, brisk waiters but funny. Food is great for the price. Large selection, hot and tasty. This is ideal for a family meal, especially with seniors. Location by the lake is beautiful. For a quieter meeting with loved ones, friends or alone, I can recommend “Coffee & Cake” on the outdoor terrace.

The best restaurant in the Ibbenbüren area!

We enjoyed the “big gourmet buffet” there last night with 5 people. As always, it was very tasty, varied and rich. You can't get salmon anywhere better in this area! The staff has also increased significantly in recent years and is very nice and attentive. Plates were regularly cleared or people asked if they would like to order anything else, even though the shop was packed at the time. (A few years ago you could die of thirst here). The first address for me in Ibbenbüren at the moment.

A sustainable solution for leftover food would complete the good impression!

First time visiting the restaurant. Staff friendly. The restaurant is getting old. There were withered plants next to our table and on the table - several dead flies in the window pane area.🤔

Went there yesterday for the gourmet buffet - it was visually beautifully presented and the food was very good. There was something for everyone! The waiter was nice and communicative. Gladly again!!

After a certain time, when there are a few people there, the air conditioning is turned off. Payment only via normal EC card but it was nowhere to be found, not even in the entrance. At the end the staff gets rude. The food was really delicious and one of the waiters was also really great. But you could also clean it thoroughly again. But we'll only come back for food.

Unfortunately no recommendation, doesn't even meet today's minimum requirements to call yourself a restaurant, the food is really not more than okay, although I unfortunately had to see the salmon again after a few hours, jumping out of my throat. Lake is quite beautiful.

Appearances are deceiving! The location and the nice boy you meet at the entrance are the only good things about this “restaurant”. The tables were demolished and there were no cushions for the chairs, making it very uncomfortable outside. The buffet is very confusing and nothing is labeled (only the men's cream says: contains alcohol). I had put a “casserole” on my plate that I thought was gyros (or something similar)... it was tuna. For the ice cream I thought I would choose pistachio because it was green with pieces of nuts, it was woodruff ice cream. We were there for the buffet and heard the waiter at our table at the back saying to please reuse the cutlery we had used. There were flies in one of the desserts. Our reservation was at 7 p.m. and the cold buffet was almost empty. The worst restaurant visit in years.

If it were possible we would give this a minimum of 3 extra stars 😊 great restaurant with a really nice, clean atmosphere top top top😇 we were there for the gourmet brunch and there was so much choice that we didn't even know we needed all of it 😅 incredibly varied From cold to hot everything is fresh, fresher, freshest, the best fish far and wide and the roast doesn't have to hide either 🤩 great antipasti, salads, variety of side dishes and the great vegetables 😍 it is constantly refilled, there was never a bowl empty and the chef is extremely likeable😇 and as the icing on the cake you can only praise the great staff and service here 🤩 super fast, very emphatic and friendly, super attentive and having fun despite the full house ☺️🤩 really great team that lives this work 🤩 We'll definitely be back and we'll be happy to bring everyone with us because you just have to be there at least once 😇😇😊☺️thanks for the nice day ☺️

Nice ambience with a view of Lake Aasee, a very nice terrace. The best milk coffee in the area and the milk foam is a dream, and I can only rave about the cake. We can only warmly recommend the buffets. There's something for everyone. The staff is friendly and welcoming. We'd love to come back.

Sehr schöne Aussicht auf den See Service ist sehr gut und zuvorkommend. Ambiente innen und aussen ist sehr gut.Gepflegt und mit viel Grün aussen herum.Gesichtet wurde gerade ein japanischer Ahorn Baum.

The service was, I would say, “Nordic bitter”. The small ice cream cone with the coffee was old and tough and showed clear signs of having already popped up and re-frozen. But the ambience is very nice.

The vegetarian buffet was very tasty, with something for every taste. The service was also good, drinks were requested regularly. At the round table the conversation was good with 6 people 👍, you could have a good chat with everyone. The whole restaurant wasn't that loud, even though it was busy. Would love to come back.

Very nicely located, with a view of the lake. We were here for the vegetarian buffet. Lots of starters, in nice little bites so you can try everything, there were probably 20 different ones. The warm main courses were also very tasty, three different fish fillets and some pasta and potato dishes. The price is quite acceptable, for just over €21 you sometimes don't even get a breakfast buffet. The staff was quick with clearing plates and drinks. The acoustics were great, you could have a good conversation despite the large room. If you want to get rid of the calories, you can then walk around the lake. Overall, a nice treat in the increasingly rare restaurant world. We'll definitely be back!

You can sit here very nicely with a view of the lake. It's just a shame that the staff is always very rude and unfriendly. As a guest you don't dare speak to the ladies. We were guests again recently. And the stay was very nice. Nice service! And the Aperol is way better than the last review. The ambience and view are still very nice 👍The ice cream sundaes at the tables next to us looked excellent and, according to the statement, tasted great too!

We spontaneously came to Ventana with a group of 14 people and a table was immediately set up for us. The service is great. A beautiful ambience located directly on Lake Aasee and super delicious cakes and waffles with hot drinks and a small ice cream. We were all really excited and when we come back to the youth hostel in Tecklenburg, we will come back to the Ventana.

It was a wonderful evening, delicious food, very nice and unobtrusive staff and then this beautiful, bright room, we really enjoyed it! The acoustics are also very pleasant, you can have a good conversation even in larger groups, we'll go there again, fully recommended!

Arrived on Sunday around 5 p.m. Service (lady from about 50 years old) She stood at the table and saw exactly how we sat down. After a quarter of an hour, an older lady at the next table took pity on us and waved her voucher to call the waitress. Then she asked us what we would like. I asked if she had a card for us, then she asked in turn what we would like, to which I answered her "card". After another 8-10 minutes she came back with the card. After another 10 minutes we decided that it was better to leave before we died of thirst or starvation. My pity goes out to the owner, who could be driven to ruin by such a miserable employee

Incredibly delicious food (wedding buffet) with lots of high-quality vegan alternatives, very friendly staff who make everything possible, wonderful atmosphere with the large skylights and the view of Lake Aasee. We were able to celebrate a wedding here and I couldn't have imagined a better place, everything was perfect from start to finish. A big thank you to the team!

Delicious food on Sunday at the buffet. Table reservations are strongly recommended. It was very crowded on a beautiful May Sunday at lunchtime and the waiting time at the buffet was a little longer (10 minutes) but the selection was very large and good. When we left full and happy around 1:30 p.m., the buffet was still full with almost the entire selection and there was no waiting time. we will come again, maybe not necessarily at rush hour.

NICE STAFF...The big waiter with the tattoos was funny and accommodating. The food was very tasty and it was always freshly prepared. I can highly recommend the buffet. The atmosphere could be a bit more modern...there were stains on some of the chairs. Beautiful outdoor terrace with a view of the beautiful Aasee. I can recommend the fresh waffles. .I will definitely visit the Ventana restaurant again.

We booked the Ventana for our evening event on the occasion of our company anniversary. The communication with the owner in advance went very well. All of our wishes were perfectly fulfilled and implemented. The service throughout the entire event was friendly, courteous and very quick. Used dishes were cleared away immediately. The food was excellent and very filling. Both the buffet (anti-pasti etc.) and the grill station were really great! All dishes were refilled promptly. The dessert also left nothing to be desired. The drinks were served very quickly. The waitress asked at regular intervals if it could be something else. We can highly recommend the Ventana.

We had a buffet meal yesterday. It was really great!!! Rich selection and very tasty. The service was very polite, attentive and on point. In terms of the location and the ambience (especially in summer with the outdoor terrace), with a view of Lake Aasee, for us it is the best restaurant in Ibbenbüren. KEEP IT UP !!! 😀

We ate there again on Pentecost Sunday with 4 people. This time there was food at the buffet and to be honest I was a little skeptical as to whether everything would work as it would on normal days. And all four of us were very positively surprised. As soon as a bowl was empty, more was always brought in from the kitchen. The staff was again very friendly and helpful. A nice, bright and clean ambience rounded off the overall impression. Great and keep it up, because we would love to come back and have already pre-booked a table for 15 people for a small family celebration. 👍

The location on Lake Aasee is fantastic. The view from the guest room of the lake and the beach is as well. First impression: bright, friendly, inviting. We were there for the asparagus buffet. On a Saturday evening the restaurant was full except for the last seat. The variety of starters at the buffet was really large, attractively presented and very tasty. The only thing missing was a small jug with some salad dressing. We didn't present the soup. The main course selection was also varied, hot & fresh and deliciously presented. Both starters and main courses were constantly replenished. I didn't try the desserts myself (fruit, various mousse, men's cream, various ice cream flavors) because they were about to burst ;-), but the other people in my group said they were also very tasty. The service was quick, reliable and in some cases very friendly. I recommend the Ventana without reservation.

I've been there several times now. Unfortunately, the service is always negative. The waitress's bad mood and mushy answers (December 2023). Yesterday (March 15, 2024) we were asked twice (after ordering the food) if we would like something to drink. So in 2 hours we each got two drinks. One only because I shouted loudly and waved to the waiter. At least the waitress was in a better mood yesterday. We went to the counter to pay because there was no one in sight there either. The food is fantastic. Large portions, good prices, simply delicious. The ambience is ok. It's debatable whether sweeteners and sugar need to be on the table in the evening. It's clean .

The buffet was very tasty and balanced. Also great for vegetarians. The service in the evening was super friendly and open-minded. The restaurant was busy in the evening. The food from the menu is rather unsuitable for vegetarians. Little choice and unfortunately not very tasty. More and fresher selection would be great. Rather unsuitable for children. A small play area would be great.

Very nice service, fair prices and really good coffee - recommended!

We were there for the first time today. But unfortunately our waiter left anything but a good impression. When we asked if we could have a menu, the answer was that it could take a long time because he would have to get one first and it would be too far away. We still ordered a little something. The food came with too few cutlery and no napkins. In addition, the empty coffee cups of the guests who had previously sat there were still on our table - the dirty cup was not cleared away during our entire stay. Out of decency, I still wanted to give a small tip when paying by EC card, which the waiter noticed and confirmed, but didn't book accordingly. So I just left it at that, didn't tip and left. Overall only 1 out of 5 stars because I particularly value the service.

We felt very comfortable. Great buffet, very tasty food. Starters, main course and dessert as a buffet were delicious. Celebrated a big birthday with around 50 guests. It was very nice and we will definitely come back. The location on the lake is very idyllic. There are also enough parking spaces. Certainly a great destination too!

28.01.24 waren wir zu Besuch zum Kaffee im Restaurant. Wir mussten uns nach draussen auf die schöne Terrasse setzen , da innen alles besetzt war. Kaffee und Kuchen waren gut bzw. lecker nur sind die Kuchenstücke für den Preis etwas klein. Wir wurden schnell bedient, nur dauerte es 30 min bis der Kuchen bei uns war. Das Problem war die Bezahlung: Ich ging hinein um zu bezahlen und habe den Chef(!) gefragt ob zuviel Mitarbeiter krank sind, da es sehr lange dauert bis wir am Tisch bezahlen können. Am Nebentisch haben andere Gäste übrigens 40 min gewartet bis diese erfahren haben das sie vergessen wurden! Kann passieren! Aber die Antwort: Alle Mitarbeiter wären da, nur ist es eine Frechheit wenn die Gäste sich im Januar nach draussen setzen. Morgen sind 50% seiner Mitarbeiter krank. Wer beisst die Hand die Ihn füttert?

Waren heute zum ersten Mal am Sonntag zu 18.00Uhr zum Buffet Essen da. Die Vorspeisen sind sehr reichhaltig, viel Auswahl und lecker!! Hauptspeise war auch gut aber nicht so viel Auswahl wie bei den Vorspeisen. Nachtisch war auch super. Chef selber hat uns bedient und er war sehr freundlich und es wurde regelmäßig gefragt ob wir noch was zu trinken möchten. Restaurant ist sehr sauber, gepflegt und es war eine angenehme Atmosphäre im Raum. Können wir weiterempfehlen.

Ich war zu einer Familienfeier im kleinen Rahmen bei Ventana sonntags zum Mittagsbuffet. Dabei habe ich sowohl positive als auch negative Beobachtungen gemacht: + Ambiente sehr schön mit Blick auf dem Aasee + Geschmack des Essens + Vorspeisen- und Desserauswahl - kleine Auswahl bei den warmen Hauptspeisen - keine Beschriftung der Speisen (besonders für Vegetarier/ Veganer oder Allergiker wichtig), wobei einiges (bspw. Frittierte Bällchen) mit bloßem Auge nicht identifiziert werden kann - Anordnung der einzelnen Buffetbereiche: 1. Alles sehr eng 2. Organisation: um an die Teller für das Dessert zu kommen quetschte man sich zuerst an der Hauptspeisenschlange und dann an der Vorspeisenschlange vorbei und dann wieder zurück. - Umgang mit neuem Personal: dass neue KellnerInnen nicht alles perfekt machen, stört mich nicht. Allerdings wurden zwei wirklich junge neue Mitarbeitende vor den Augen der Gäste von zwei verschiedenen älteren Mitarbeitenden lauthals kritisiert (nett ausgedrückt). Die Kritik verfasse ich, weil die Location echt Potential hat und man an den Kritikpunkten leicht etwas ändern könnte. Ich werde bestimmt nochmal wiederkommen und bin gespannt, ob sich was geändert hat.

Zu lange Wartezeit und zu hohe Preise

Hier kann man gemütlich und gepflegt sitzen. Abendbüffet war fantastisch. Viel Auswahl, auch für Vegetarier. Uns hat es super gefallen, sehr gutes Essen, freundliches Personal. Top Lage

Die Lage des Restaurants ist wirklich top, aber da hört es dann schon auf. Es bietet Essen in Buffetform an. Eigentlich ein gutes Angebot und auch der Preis ist o.k. Steht man aber nicht pünktlich um 18.00 Uhr hufescharrend vor der Tür, bleiben einem leider nur noch Reste. Trotz vorherigem Anruf! Es wird, auch nach mehrmaligem Bitten, so gut wie gar nicht nachgelegt, da kaum Vorräte gleicher Art vorhanden sind. Auch auf die Getränke wartet man unendlich lange. Die Erdbeeren werden ungewaschen, noch mit Stroh dekoriert, serviert. Auf dieses Manko hingewiesen antwortete der Chef: "Was meinen Sie, wie die aussehen, wenn ich die Erdbeeren wasche". Guten Appetit!! Der Chef hat uns, nachdem wir die Probleme angesprochen haben und nicht gewillt waren, den vollen Preis für das Büfett zu bezahlen, aus dem Restaurant, verwiesen. Das nenne ich mal gastfreundlich. So etwas habe ich bis dato noch nicht erlebt. Man sollte miteinander reden können. Es gibt für alles eine Lösung. Wer nicht viele Ansprüche hat, ist in diesem Restaurant richtig. Essen, was da ist, Bezahlen und Gehen!

Sehr schön gelegenes Restaurant direkt am Aasee mit gutem Service. Das Restaurant hat eine schöne Terrasse tlw. unter Bäumen mit Blick auf den Aasee. Nur leider habe ich mein Essen als kleine Portion (war 15 % günstiger) bestellt und wirklich nur einen "kleinen Kinderteller" bekommen. Satt werden als Erwachsener war nicht möglich. Das kenne ich anders. Ich hatte Spargel trifft Schnitzel bestellt. Drei Stangen Spargel, eine kleine Handvoll nicht garer Gratin und ein ca. 8 cm Schnitzel für knapp 20 Euro.... Meine Freundinnen fragten mich, ob ich einen Vorspeisenteller bestellt habe.

Das vegetarische Buffet war klasse, große Auswahl mit mehreren Fischsorten und alles geschmacklich sehr gut, auch die Desserts waren klasse!

Waren heute nachmittag zum Kaffee trinken dort, sehr netter Kellner, mit Liebe servierte Kaffee und Kuchen, und schöner Ausblick auf den Aasee, alles in allem: sehr zu empfehlen! Andrea Stöppel/ Lienen

Wir waren mit 5 Personen an einem Sonntag Abend zum Schlemmer Buffet genießen dort. Netter Empfang, freundlicher, aufmerksamer aber nicht aufdringlicher Service! Das Buffet war wirklich sehr umfangreich, von Antipasti, Salaten, Gemüsen, kaltem Fisch-Buffet, Gemüsebeilagen, Fleisch und Fisch, und zum Abschluss eine nettes Dessert Buffet! Alles was das Herz begehrt. Die Speisen wurden ständig ergänzt/nachgelegt, so muss es sein! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder, Danke für den netten kulinarischen Abend!

Am Ostermontag sind wir etwas am Aasee spazieren gegangen. Als wir bemerkten, dass das Café Ventana geöffnet war, sind wir spontan eingekehrt. Ein schöner heller Raum erwartete uns und wir fanden schnell Platz an einem Tisch am Fenster. Schnell wurde unsere Bestellung entgegen genommen und bald danach bekamen wir unseren Kaffee und unseren bestellten Kuchen. Jeder bekam zusätzlich ein kleines Eis, dass an der Kaffeeuntertasse angebracht war. Der Kuchen und der Kaffee schmeckten gut und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis kann man nur als sehr gut bezeichnen. Für uns war das mal wieder ein positiver Lichtblick zu anderen Caffes und deren Preisen. Da gehen wir sicher noch einmal hin!!!
