Restaurant Veermaster in Karlshagen

A final dinner at the end of the holiday sweetened our evening with delicious zander fillet. The staff was very friendly and the food was highly recommended, whether fish or meat. Everything is freshly prepared and you can taste it. We would love to come back.

Can be recommended conditionally. There is a rich menu, although it is relatively expensive - 0.5 liters of beer €6 - but it is tasty. The interior is very comfortable to sit in and the service is fast...

We ate there again after a very long time, service was very friendly and took the order quickly, drinks were at the table quickly, The food was also very good, you can see my meal in the pictures, goat cheese gratin with salad and as the main course I had rump steak with fried potatoes and champions 👍 And the view of the harbor and the boat was just great..

Service wasn't exactly friendly. The fish platter prepared and eaten was at the level of a beach snack.

With a reservation we got an unmarked table in the entrance area. A bit cramped with four people. When I asked if it would be possible to get another table, I was told no. Our reservation was at 6 p.m. At this point there were very few tables occupied, only one outside Guests arriving at night without reservations were seated at larger tables. Sometimes in twos or threes. I wonder if it's about sympathy or how the lady decided. The food was great, four different dishes and all of them great. Nevertheless, we will not dare to try again.

Very high price level, especially drinks, food small portions, visitor numbers clear, food taste ok.

Good fish restaurant right at the harbor

Our favorite in Karlshagen for many years. Consistent quality and portions that fill you up in a cozy atmosphere. The staff is very nice and the prices have been stable for some time.

We have been coming to Usedom at least once every year for 8 years. Visiting the Veermaster is one of our favorite traditions, in short: The Veermaster is our absolute favorite restaurant on the island. Very friendly service. A great atmosphere and we always feel very comfortable. From super tasty fish dishes to beef steak, to the good classics like kettle goulash and much more, there is something on the menu for everyone. The Veermaster is definitely recommended! Big praise to the entire team!!!

We had dinner here. The food is very tasty and good. But we had to wait a long time for our main course. But we were told that when we placed our order. The au gratin fish pot is recommended. The staff is attentive and very friendly. The atmosphere is rustic, maritime and cozy. But you should reserve a table in advance.

We ate very well. You currently have to reserve a table. It was very busy when we visited and as a result there were some waiting times. Update 2024: The food is still super tasty. I would strongly recommend reserving a table in advance. Unfortunately there were coordination problems with the kitchen today because we had already received our main course and weren't finished with the starter yet.

However, high levels of awareness have suffered greatly. Ambience is very outdated. Prices have risen extremely, which is disproportionate to the performance. This can definitely be done better.

Recently had dinner at Veermaster. Was recommended online. Great location in the harbor of Karlshagen. Easy to find, perfect parking right in front with a parking disc (1 hour), but you can also extend it. Views of the harbor and great yachts. Food selection good and plentiful. I ate a potato omelette/farmer's breakfast, my wife ate three kinds of fish. The omelette was ok but a bit dry. The three kinds of fish were great, especially because of the delicious sauce that came with it. Prices decent. The omelette €14, the three kinds of fish €26. Unfortunately there was no card payment that evening, so we had to pay in cash. To do this, our Paff friends at the next table had to smoke several cigarettes after their meal, which of course started right as we started eating. A bit annoying and uncomfortable. It's four stars, but nothing more.

The plaice was dry and the skin was like rubber. After making a comment to the service person, we were reprimanded. All in all, poor food and service

Unfortunately, the bouillabaisse is no longer on the menu, but we can recommend the “Veermaster” fish and mussel pot. Be sure to reserve in advance!

Super friendly and fast service. After a short time the food was ready. Delicious matjes and the fish mussel pot are also highly recommended. The atmosphere at the harbor is fantastic.

The Veermaster convinced us (we ate here twice within a week) with his very solid cuisine. Both the prawns and the meat dishes (rump steak, rump steak, pork medallions and children's steak) were of good quality and fried to perfection. The grilled vegetables as a side dish were very tasty and the children's noodles with sausage cubes were lovingly and deliciously prepared. The view of the boat harbor is very pretty. The price-performance ratio is (still) appropriate, with the overall good quality there are only small things that could offend you: no greeting from the kitchen, potato rostis were frozen. The overall impression is really very nice and worth 5 stars for me... (and we got a place twice at short notice) Keep it up :-)

A nice restaurant right at the sports boat harbor. Nice service, a small but fine menu and delicious food at reasonable prices in a maritime atmosphere. Top.

To be fair, the dishes were great. We made a reservation for 6 p.m., before ordering we were told that the table would be occupied again for 7:30 p.m. That would be common. Neither on the homepage nor on the menu was it noted that the tables were allocated twice. The service person, and possibly also the boss, was extremely unfriendly and irritable. The young man was extremely nice. Still recommended.

We went to dinner with the whole family for our wedding anniversary and booked a table in advance. This was decorated with roses and everything was beautifully arranged. The food was absolutely perfect. Everyone's opinion ranged from “Minh, delicious” to “I've never had such a delicious steak before”. So from us for the food, the great arrangements and above all for the nice service 5⭐️ with bees.

Were hungry! But only cash is accepted, so we definitely gave up €200. A pity.

Nice staff, unfortunately very slow when all tables are full. I had reserved in advance by email. There were also very friendly responses to changes; everything was made possible. You should take a lot of time. The waitress didn't come by very often, so the glasses were empty longer than they should have been... Nevertheless, the menu was well stocked and it was delicious!

The food was very tasty, large portions and very nicely presented. There is an extra children's menu and something to paint for the kids. The children's meals were also very large and freshly prepared, no ready-made nuggets. The service was very friendly. All in all an absolute recommendation, we really liked it. You should reserve in advance.

Im September 2023 waren meine Frau und ich mehrmals in diesem tollen, maritim eingerichteten Restaurant. Auch den Geburtstagsabend meiner Frau am 14.09.2023 verbrachten wir hier. Ines hatte liebevoll den Tisch dekoriert und bediente uns den Abend perfekt und unterhaltsam. Very stylish (maritime) furnished restaurant with a fantastically beautiful view of the Peene harbor. Food very nicely prepared and tastes fantastic! Very nice service! We recommend!!

My friend ate there years ago and was absolutely thrilled... We had on December 29th. 2023 ordered a table for 4 people for 7:30 p.m. The menus came very quickly. That's it! We had drinks after about 50 minutes and the food took almost 2 hours. The waitress seemed hopelessly overwhelmed and tried to appease the fact that there were larger groups at the other tables and the orders were processed one after the other. She was also unable to take multiple orders at once, instead running back to the counter after each order. The kitchen probably actually "cooked" the orders table by table. The food that came at some point still looked like it had been on the plate for a long time. We have never experienced anything so haphazard. The waitress's half-hearted apologies after I became a bit annoyed after an hour and a half didn't save much either. The quality of the food was also really mediocre. Never again.

We went to the Veermaster restaurant for New Year's Day. The restaurant is beautifully located and has a great ambience. The food was super tasty, but it also came at a price. Unfortunately, the implementation of our order, including special requests, was not good and took too long. Unfortunately, the children's food was no longer even lukewarm, but was warmed up again upon request. The payment was very complicated and took a very long time. The handling of our two dogs was positive. Water and treats were provided here. Despite the criticism, the service always remained friendly, so there are still three points for service.

I was invited here for duck dinner on December 22nd, 2023. Nothing has changed in all these years. From the ambience to the service to the cuisine, simply TOP. You can just feel good with you!!!!

Uriges Restaurant in nostalgisch maritimen Stil eingerichtet. War schon einige Male hier und das Essen ist jedes Mal qualitativ und geschmacklich TOP. Egal ob Fisch oder Fleisch. Preislich nicht günstig, aber es lohnt sich! Bedienung immer sehr freundlich und auch Hunde sind hier gerne gesehen und werden versorgt.

Eine schönes maritimes eingerichtetes Lokal. Total gemütlich. Das Essen top ne 1 mit 3 🌟 Sterne 🌟 🌟 zusätzlich. Hervorragende Serviceleistung. Hier kommen wir gerne und unbedingt wieder. Das Lokal befindet sich direkt am Hafen, somit hat man eine perfekten Ausblick

Haben einen schönen Abend verbracht. Essen ausgezeichnet. Sehr freundlich. Empfehlenswert immer wieder gerne.

Sehr sehr gutes Essen. Wir sind im Urlaub mehrfach hin. Wenn es die Tageskarte hergibt, sollte man unbedingt die Kalbsleber probieren. So eine tolles Lebergericht hatte ich vorher noch nicht gegessen. Die Suljanka ist ebenfalls spitze, so auch die Fischterrine. Die Lage ist auch sehr schön am Wasser. Optimal um den Sonnenuntergang zu genießen.

Bestes Restaurant im Inselnorden! Ich war in den Jahren 2020/21 sicher 10 mal dort. . Fisch-Muscheltopf ist der Knaller, immer frisch gekocht, reichlich befüllt und extrem lecker! Sicherheitshalber Tisch reservieren.

Das Ambiente und das Essen war super. Leider war der Service an dem Tag nicht so gut drauf. Es könnte daran gelegen haben das dieses Restaurant sehr gefragt ist, aber leider noch kein Grund um mürrisch zu sein.

Ein wirklich tolles Restaurant! Wir gehen seit Jahren dorthin essen ,wenn wir in Karlshagen im Urlaub sind und wurden noch nie enttäuscht.Weiter so ,super Leistung!👍

Tolles Restaurant am Hafen. Sehr leckere Speisen für angemessene Preise. Das Personal ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Bedienung anfangs freundlich, Küche ggf. unterbesetzt, denn wir mussten lange warten. Geschmacklich gut, überzogene Preise, denn wir haben die Gaststätte hungrig verlassen, da die Portionen relativ klein waren. Schade, wir hatten den Veermaster in besserer Erinnerung.

Einwandfreier Service. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Und der maritime Flair passt genau.

Tolles Restaurant mit Blick auf den Hafen Karlshagen. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Haben heute ohne vorherige Reservierung einen Tisch auf der Terrasse bekommen obwohl diese bereits reserviert waren. Das Essen ist verdammt lecker! Vorallem vom Kesselgulasch und den Schweinemedaillons mit Parmesankruste waren wir geschmacklich extrem begeistert! Riesen Lob an die Küche!

Es war das leckerste Essen, das wir seit Langem auswärts gegessen haben. Ich hatte z.B. Schweinelende mit Balkankäse, Knoblauchsoße und Rosmarinkartoffeln. Soo lecker. Das Servicepersonal war super nett. Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein nächster Besuch ist auf alle Fälle geplant. Eine Reservierung per Mail und Telefon ist unbedingt erforderlich.

Sehr schöne Atmosphäre, Essen sehr schön angerichtet aber geschmacklich leider nur 3 Sterne! Wir haben unter anderem die Nudeln mit Brokkoli in Gorgonzolasoße gehabt sehr lasch! Obere Preisklasse, man zahlt natürlich mehr da direkt am Hafen…

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant. Gehobene Küche und super nette Mitarbeiter. Per E-Mail kann man dort reservieren, aber auch per Telefon. Reservierung ist aber unbedingt erforderlich, da man sonst keinen Sitzplatz erhält. Das Essen hat super geschmeckt. Bei uns gab es Dorsch mit Kartoffelstampf und Wurzelgemüse, Wiener Schnitzel, das Kindergericht mit Wiener Schnitzel und Den Dorsch mit Champingnon-Zitronensoße und Kartoffeln. War alles super lecker und frisch zubereitet. Auf alle Fälle eine Empfehlung von mir, wenn man in der Nähe ist.

Super Service ,mega freundlich auch zu den Kindern.Essen war fanatisch, frisch gekocht und einen kleinen Preis für die Qualität und die Portion. Top immer wieder.

Freundliches Personal und gutes Essen gepaart mit tollem Hafenflair.

Wir waren mit 4 Personen zum Essen und alle Gerichte hatten dasselbe Problem... zu wenig bis garnicht gewürzt. Geschmacklich kein Highlight... leider! Ambiente direkt am Hafen ist wirklich sehr schön. Gehen aber aufgrund des fehlenden Geschmackes nicht mehr hin. Schade !

Ein nettes Lokal mit regionalen Spezialitäten zu fairen Preisen. Das Ambiente ist etwas piefig für meinen Geschmack, wobei die Außenterasse bei schönem Wetter einen netten Blick auf den Yachthafen bietet. Kleiner Minuspunkt waren bei uns die bereits teilweise bemalten und kaum leserlichen Kindermenüs.

Obwohl die Preise stark angezogen haben, kann das Lokal empfehlen. Lecker Fisch mit super Bratkartoffeln. Schönes Ambiente im Innenbereich und Blick auf das Achterwasser.

Das Servicepersonal war sehr freundlich und wir wurden fix bedient, auch das Essen kam sehr schnell. Das Essen war sowohl wirklich lecker, als auch wunderbar angerichtet und die Portionen waren sehr generös. Wir hatten verschiedene Fischgerichte bestellt und waren absolut begeistert. Wir würden definitiv nochmal hier essen gehen.

We ordered Scholle Finkenwerder Art, but got Scholle with onions. A Restaurant in this Price-category should know the real thing. Even when we told them the fault there was no apologise from them.

Sieht von außen schon sehr schnuckelig aus. Auch das Ambiente im Inneren ist ansprechend. Tolles Essen. Frischer Fisch, gut abgeschmeckt. Sehr freundlicher Service. Sollte es uns nochmal nach Usedom verschlagen, kommen wir gerne wieder. Vielen Dank 🤗

Wir hatten für 6 Personen reserviert, an dem angebotene Tisch war es sehr eng, umsetzen war nicht möglich, obwohl rundherum alle Tische frei waren. Fischsuppe, Matjeshering und Fischteller waren gut, gebratener Fisch war trocken. Bezahlen mit Karte war möglich, dabei ein Trinkgeld über Karte zu geben nicht. Dafür kam anschließend die Servicekraft und forderte für die Küche ein Trinkgeld… Ging gar nicht, Gläser wurden auch mittendrin mit dem Hinweis, dass der Geschirrspüler noch nicht voll ist, abgeholt.

Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, sehr lecker und die Portionen waren reichlich. Sehr guter Fisch und ein wunderschönes Ambiente lädt zum verweilen ein, ist definitiv ein Besuch wert.
