Restaurant TROJA in Celle

Excellent food and good service.

There's really nothing to complain about. Everything's perfect. Service is excellent. The food, too, of course. Ordered a grilled platter for two people. There weren't enough side dishes for that. The tzatziki, however, was very good.

If you enjoy Greek food and drink, this is the place for you. For us, it's like this: everything is delicious and freshly prepared. It gets busy at peak times, so it's best to reserve a table in advance. Parking is available right next door, wheelchair accessible, and cash only.

You can do it if you have a certain tolerance. "Shandler" should be avoided.

Great restaurant! We were there two days ago and everything was great. The food was delicious, and even though the place was packed, it came quickly. The appetizer salad was excellent! The service was very friendly and we felt very comfortable. Highly recommended☺️

Disappointing visit to the Greek Unfortunately, our visit to this Greek restaurant was anything but pleasant. After ordering, we had to wait a full 30 minutes for our drinks - and even then only some were brought. The rest came delayed and obviously forgotten. The beer was stale and no longer had any head. The impression continued with the food: some of the dishes were served cold, and one was completely missing, which was then brought to the table with a further delay. The gyro was extremely dry and the baked Hawaiian schnitzel in sauce was simply inedible. The mood was further depressed by the service, which showed little interest in hospitality. You didn't feel welcome, but rather like a chore. At the end, the obligatory Uzo was even served warm - a symbolic end to this unsuccessful evening. Unfortunately, we cannot remember this visit positively and would not recommend the restaurant.

We have been eating at Troy regularly for years. Unfortunately, I have to say that the quality and well-being in the restaurant is decreasing more and more. At peak times on Fridays and Saturdays the staff is hopelessly overwhelmed and that simply kills the mood. The dishes don't come as ordered and then you just leave it like that because otherwise you would have to wait forever for the food. I had an ouzo plate and the gyros on it were counted and partly black...too coarsely cut and not particularly tasty either. It was also not possible to get a cooked one with the salad plate... certainly a result of the staff being overloaded... a shame for both sides. Sometimes less really is more!! I won't go there anymore and will visit other restaurants.

Very great restaurant, been there again and the food was delicious, but unfortunately the portions were very small. Previously a full plate, now about half of it. That's a shame and at the same price. The service was very friendly, nothing to complain about, but make the portions as usual, then we'll be happy to come back

Never again! - as long as you are the last guest and are insulted and basically thrown out before the end of the opening. According to the entrance sign and internet (troja-restaurant-celle.de/speisekarte/): Mon./Tues./Thurs./Fri./Sat./Sun./Holidays 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m. (Hot food until 10:00 p.m.) Sat 18.1. Arrival at 9:30 p.m. ..... few guests, the "waitress" present explained to us that she had to ask the chef if we could get anything else. A “yes” is communicated rather unwillingly. Since we had already studied the menu online, we ordered around 9:40 p.m. Super quick preparation - I guess we were ready by 10 p.m. Food was plentiful and completely OK (“Mykonos” plate / macaroni in Metaxa sauce, baked with cheese). At 10:30 p.m. we were asked to pay - OK, you can check as the last guest.... Close the cash register. Afterwards - and I still had a lot of beer in my glass - we were harshly asked to please leave. When I pointed out that I wanted to finish my beer and that there were still 30 minutes until 11 p.m., the worst insults followed. The only thing missing was for this “lady” to come with a long knife. The icing on the cake was that we were insulted because we played Back Gammon on a tablet while we ate... insulted because of Back Gammon - at the Greek - really now?! And not even a late end of work can be used as an excuse, because when we left the lady was still polishing glasses. Even when we drove past there later from the somewhat distant parking lot, she was still working. In short: no restaurant in the world needs such employees - I really don't want to meet any of these people when visiting this restaurant. I will no longer expose myself to this risk. Dear boss - "you are fired" would really be the only words that such a reputation-damaging employee who is unsuitable for the hospitality industry deserves. Then I'd love to come back.

Driven past it often, finally tried it out today. The ambience is great. We had reserved a table for two, which worked without any problems. The food was ok. The side salad was very bland and with ready-made dressing, but the main courses were okay in terms of taste and quantity. However, we didn't find the service very friendly. We spent four and a half hours in the restaurant (we hadn't seen each other in years) and weren't even asked if we wanted another drink. Even after paying at the counter, the farewell was rather poor than friendly. In any case, we won't be coming back. There are better restaurants in Celle

Had dinner today at 6:30 p.m. with 4 people! The restaurant was packed to capacity! The staff was great and very friendly! After about 20 minutes we had our food and it tasted very good! Thumbs up! 👍 Highly recommended!

Very disappointed I was looking forward to a delicious meal in a nice atmosphere. Our table was an emergency table, right at the exit. A table for 2, but there were four of us. Carelessly set up, not even enough cutlery, oil and vinegar were already empty. The starter was ok but you couldn't go wrong (olives and peppers carelessly packed on a plate) The side salad was rather sad (iceberg, tomato quarters, ready-made dressing. The main course for me was dry gyros, frozen calamari, and mushy rice. After 2 hours, the bill came without anyone wanting to pay. That felt like being kicked out and came across as such. If you can't cope with so many guests in terms of service, kitchen or space, then sometimes less is more. I won't go there again

Food was ok apart from an almost cold lamb chop and a tasteless tzatziki. The espresso at the end was a disaster. It's a shame, because based on the previous reviews I expected more. Unfortunately not again...

Nice service, inexpensive, good dishes, meat was very tender and well fried. However, the food is very salty. Very simple side salad made from lettuce and tomato quarters with cocktail sauce. Both of these bothered me and I deducted one star.

Unfortunately the meat was very dry! Even my pork medallion was hard! We had to wait over an hour for food, which I thought was a long time! Tzatziki was completely forgotten. But we got it and it was delicious. Salad was so-so...could be better. Overall it has slowed down a lot. I don't find the waitress walking around in sweatpants nice either. Price performance is a bit expensive!

Addendum 02-2024 Bifteki V2.0 - unfortunately not well-done again, but was remade after a complaint and delivered a little late, not bad, but I would have given the guest something at the house's expense, especially since it was specifically mentioned that it was well-done when ordering! The mixed salad is a side salad with some additional vegetables. A subsequent third attempt? Let's see. Nice restaurant á La Hellas, nice Greco decoration without seeming kitschy, large AND tasty bifteki (not fully cooked today) filled with proven sheep's cheese, with coleslaw, as if freshly prepared. The pan was also delicious, the fries, well-intentioned quantity. A little Mikis Theodorakis music would lift the atmosphere. The friendly young man would be better off wearing long trousers to respectfully serve the guests than a short additanga, like in the sports hall. We would love to come back with friends and soon.

Very crowded and loud. The salad tasted like dishwater. However, the rest of the food was OK. The service staff barely understood German, but was friendly and interested in the complaint.

Wir waren mit mehreren Leuten im Restaurant. Die Wartezeit bis das Essen an den Tisch kam, war ok. Das Essen war zum satt werden. Allerdings hatte ich tatsächlich vermutet, bei einem Grillteller etwas mehr auf dem Teller zu haben. Es war eine gute Qualität, schmeckte sehr lecker und auf Extrawünsche wurde eingegangen. Preise sind ok. Wie gesagt, die Portionen hätten etwas größer sein können.

Ich habe das Essen abgeholt. Wie imer wieder sehr lecker.

Ich und meine Familie war heute bei Troja und muss ich sagen das beste Griechische Restoraunt in Celle,das Essen war warm und lecker ,die Bedienung war sehr freundlich ,die Preise war auch ganz in Ordnung ,wir kommen wieder gerne und ich empfehle es aufjedenfall.

Leider schlechte Bedienung,ausser die Dame,die war freundlich,aber die Tischdecken haben geklebt und das Gyros war sowas von knorpelig! Positiv war :sehr saubere Toiletten und auch der rote Ouzo war lecker!!

Das Essen würde ich als Convinence bezeichnen. Die Preise sind in Ordnung und das Ambiente beschreibe ich Mal als einfach bis urig. Die Tische im Außenbereich haben definitiv schon bessere Tage erlebt. Bis das Essen auf dem Tisch stand, verging einige Zeit. Die Herrentoilette ist eher für Hobbits gebaut worden. In der Toilettenkabine waren Spinnweben. Als wir nach dem Essen zahlen wollten, sagte man uns, man würde gleich am den Tisch kommen. 15 min später ging dann einer von uns rein um zu bezahlen, da sich niemand am Tisch blicken ließ. Man sitzt im Außenbereich direkt an einer sehr lauten Straßenkreuzung. Alles in allem bekommt das Restaurant von mir ein "ist ok" als Bewertung.

Nachdem unser Stammgrieche (Artemis) seit der Energiekrise die Preise massiv angezogen und zugleich die Portionen verkleinert hat, war die Suche nach einem neuen griechischen Restaurant mit TROJA von Erfolg gekrönt. Große Portionen zu einem fairen Preis, man wird satt, geschmacklich super, freundliche Bedienung, alles sehr sauber. Wir kommen wieder!

Das beste Bifteki von Celle gibt es hier. Die Preise sind moderat, der Service ist super, die Bedienung sehr freundlich.

Ich fand es dort sehr lecker. Auch die Preise sind zu dieser Zeit sehr angenehm, nicht zu überteuert. Der Service war sehr nett und auch immer für uns da. Ich kann es nur empfehlen 😊

Ich habe einen Kinderteller gegessen, der auch ohne Murren ( obwohl ich eine Erwachsene bin) geboten.. Alle anderen Gerichte waren nach Aussage meiner Begleiter in jeder Hinsicht sehr gut.. Die Essen und Getränkekarten sind mehr als ausreichend.

Freundlicher Service, urig-gemütliches Ambiente, leckeres Essen, das optisch schön angerichtet war. Trotz vollem Haus keine übermäßig lange Wartezeit oder gestresstes Personal. Insgesamt entspannte, gemütliche Atmosphäre.
