Restaurant Teheran in Hamburg

It was very bad, because it had no good taste, neither kebab nor rice. It was a shame that we went there, seven of us, we threw our money away. When did you put spices and turmeric in the batter? It was dry, undercooked, and spicy. The leaves only tasted like onions, but you couldn't taste the meat. It didn't seem like an Iranian restaurant, and you wouldn't see four Iranians there, and the cooks certainly weren't Iranians either. It would have been better if we had eaten bread and cheese at home than to spend time going to a restaurant.

The Sultani was delicious. The toilet was dirty.

On Sunday noon it was almost empty. We tried several bbq dishes. Here is the summary: Koobide Kebab (minced meat kebab) was very good. Recommended. Shashlik and Chicken kebab with bones were very poor. Not good marinate, and it did not taste fresh and like original. In addition, there was a hair in the rice. The appetizer “zeytoon parvarde, olives” was so disappointing not even close to the original taste which is made with pomegranate, special herbs, garlic and walnuts. The fresh vegetables and herbs with feta cheese were not fresh. The Dough (yogurt drink) was poor too. More interesting, the guy whom seems to be the owner sitting on a table talking to his staff, was eating a Donner kebab in his own restaurant. It was not a good experience and is not recommended.

One of my favorite restaurants in Hamburg. I love Persian cuisine! Great value for money, filling and tasty food (you can also take it to go), and the staff are friendly. My favorite dishes are Gheymeh Bademjan and Ghormeh Sabzi. Excellent, I highly recommend it! The outdoor terrace is okay, but I prefer the inside. Kheyli mamnoonam ☺️

It always depends on who's working there as a server, but overall, everyone is very friendly and attentive (the boss? He usually sits there drinking tea and doesn't say hello, but you get used to that). When the restaurant is already busy around 4 p.m. in the afternoon—especially with Iranians—it shows me, as a German, that the cuisine must be authentic. The food is truly delicious, the portions are generous, and the value for money is right! On my last visit last Wednesday, I accidentally entered the wrong number on my order, so a large appetizer plate was served instead of my main course. When I reported my mistake and also wanted to order the main course, the waitress took the "wrong" plate back and said with a smile that my main course would be here in about 10 minutes... Wow, that's truly customer service at its best, especially since it was my mistake! I don't find the restaurant particularly cozy – it doesn't exactly invite you to linger (more of a "hall-like" feel), but if you like delicious Iranian food, you won't be disappointed! I will definitely be back! PS: Don't be surprised – the website offers an option to make reservations online via email... I've done it three times now, but never received a response. The manager? When I asked her about it, she said there would always be room for two or three people. Maybe it was the time of day, because up until now I've always come relatively early – around 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. – with two friends. Otherwise, for larger groups and at other times, I would prefer to call to make a reservation.

Everything was great! If we ever go to Hamburg again, we'll definitely come here. Best wishes from Berlin :)

I think the kebab here is better than any restaurant in Hamburg. It really has an Iranian feel. It's like you've been to Rasht.

The food is okay, but lacks a wow factor. The ambiance isn't great either. The dedicated parking spaces and the central location are convenient. It's quite okay for a quick bite. The service, however, is very friendly, and that's what sticks with you most.

Unfortunately, there were so many flaws in the service and the overall experience that the positive impression of the meal was almost completely lost. 1. Service & Customer Relations: Disastrous. Even though we had reserved a table, the staff completely forgot about it. Our orders were constantly forgotten, and we had to ask for everything several times before it finally arrived. The absolute low point: when the herb plate arrived, and something fell on the table while being set down, the waitress simply picked it up with her hand, threw it into my plate, and said, "That's for you." 2. Decor & Atmosphere: Looks more like a chip shop than a restaurant. Zero ambiance, very uncomfortable. 3. Portion sizes: Far too small. For example, the sabzipolo was less than a ladle. However, they had more fish as a side dish, which made the ratio totally unbalanced. 4. Dessert: The traditional ice cream was obviously store-bought, carelessly slapped into a bowl, and unfortunately disappointing in taste. I won't recommend it to anyone.

Very delicious meal but unfriendly staff. they behaved so that I thought they were robots, without even a friendly smile,( which is of course part of Iranian hospitality ) as they are objected to serve the clients. That was so annoying.

Unfortunately, the tables are a bit close together, so you're constantly bumping into other guests. Still, highly recommended.

This time I was in Hamburg with my friend who came from Düsseldorf, and during our trip we went to the Teheran restaurant twice. After several years it was a pleasure to be here again as the quality of the food was still excellent - perhaps even better than eight years ago! The taste was excellent, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and the staff incredibly friendly and professional. On the first visit, Mr. Massoud took great care to ensure that the portion sizes were exactly what we wanted, and he looked after us attentively throughout the evening. The second time, Ms. Parnia took a lot of time to answer all of our questions and even brought us a small portion of Fesenjan to try so we could be sure it would suit our taste. After all these years it was a wonderful experience again and without a doubt we will come back here every time we come to Hamburg!

The great atmosphere, excellent food, and outstanding hospitality at this restaurant make it a must-visit for our next visit to Hamburg. It was truly fantastic! If you want to taste authentic Persian food, I highly recommend this place. I have tried almost all Persian restaurants in Hamburg, and I can confidently say this is the best. It is conveniently located near the HBF, making it easily accessible. The restaurant has a cozy and classic interior, creating a calming atmosphere, especially after its recent renovation. The food quality is excellent, and the prices are reasonable, especially compared to other restaurants. The staff are friendly and welcoming.

I had a guest today and we went here. I wanted to hang my daughter's jacket, who is one year old. The waiter, Shaan, treated me very badly. They are eating here, and you shouldn't hang her clothes here.

The stuffing is very tasteless and of poor quality, the behavior of the personnel is very unpleasant, the price is not worth the quality at all, and the outer packaging was very bad.

I had dinner at Tehran today, the food was good and the staff was very nice. What bothered me was that the boss, an older man, always opened the kitchen door and shouted. And the staff was very unfriendly and shouted loudly throughout the restaurant.

Als ich den Besitzer darüber informierte, dass ich mein Essen mit Brot haben wollte, ist der Herr völlig ausgerastet. Statt das Essen nach meinen Wünschen zuzubereiten, hat er mit mir diskutiert. Allerdings blieb der junge Herr, der dabei war, ruhig und hat versucht, die Lage zu entschärfen. Das war wirklich das letzte Mal, dass ich dieses Restaurant betrete.

We ordered a tray of kebabs, zarshak pilou with chicken and chanje. The taste and smell of rice was bad. The meat of the kebabs was clearly left over and they were made edible by the force of the spices. Not having any cinnamon for kebabs. The chicken was very tasteless and dry.

As a person who is very familiar to iranian food, people and behavior, I would never recommend this restaurant. I didn't feel welcomed because of staffs behavior. They talked very loudly with themselves, not nice musics, not a special atmosphere/design of an Iranian resturant, and the food was not good enough. Very shame that the name of resturant (not just the name but everything) represents a country. NOT recommended!
