The food isn't tasty, the restaurant isn't vegan-friendly, and the menu is truly awful. Kassel has several other good Indian restaurants, but Tadka isn't one of them.

Incredibly good and authentic food with fantastic hosts. We were guests here and had an excellent meal. Because my wife wasn't sure and was torn between two dishes, we even got a small portion of the other dish to try for free. We'll definitely be back! In my opinion, one of the best restaurants in Kassel!

Whether it's lunch or dinner, I've been a loyal customer for many years. If it's busy, you should plan on a little extra time or not be too hungry. Fresh food just takes time :)

It’s a surprise visit to Kassel with our friends group. Luckily we found this restaurant a real authentic Indian food even in my 10 years life in Germany. Unlike some Pakistan, sri Lanka and Bangladesh people runs restaurants in the name of indian. I found this is true and genuine indian restaurant runs by indian chef and management. Food tastes so good and authentic. I recommend if you want to try real indian food in Kassel.

The food was nice, but the service was slow. Only two staff members were working, which is not enough for a full restaurant. You have to wait quite a while to order or get help. I recommend going only if you’re not in a rush.

Worst Chicken Tikka Masala I ever had in Germany. They made simple boneless chicken Masala and said it is Chicken Tikka Masala. Also, half of the Garlic Nan is like papad. Indians, please stay away from this place and don’t get disappointed.

We've been there twice before with two people and the voucher book. There was nothing to complain about. This time, there were other people with another voucher book. Unfortunately, the prices couldn't be set or adhered to, which violates the voucher book rules. The restaurant was currently still registered online. It probably isn't listed in the current book for 2024-2025. The lamb was also unfortunately very tough. 2 stars because it used to be better.

Since then, we've been regular guests here and always enjoy coming back! Was there for dinner yesterday. The decor is not Indian at all. Something could be done about the ambience. Food was good, plentiful and hot, freshly prepared. We had a starter and 2 main courses, 2 large drinks around 54€

I happened to eat here with my wife. Had the No.25, No.36 and a salad The food looked very lovingly prepared and tasted wonderful. But what other guests had on their plates also looked great (-; I'm very curious about the other dishes on the menu. Owner was very friendly and accommodating...!

Incredibly delicious authentic Indian food. We had classic butter chicken and chicken tikka masala, the sauces were super tasty and flavorful, the chicken was nice and tender and the rice was super light and tasty. There was also a really good garlic naan bread. I'll definitely be back.

Essen sehr ansprechend und alles sehr lecker und vor allem heiß. Insbesondere werden manche Gerichte auf einer Art Bratplatte serviert, was besonders lecker aussieht. Ob man noch etwas trinken will, wird nicht gefragt.

The taste of the food was great, very well balanced, the rice was nice and fluffy. I won't be ordering from Lieferando again, the food was on the way for almost an hour and unfortunately it was cold, so we warmed it up in the microwave. So next time definitely there.

We were disappointed 😞. We've eaten Indian food very often and really enjoyed it. But here we were disappointed for the first time. The starter was really great, but the main course didn't work at all. It smelled burnt as soon as the food arrived. And you can't actually bring the food that dry. Extremely disappointed. Even the back room where we were placed, nothing was decorated, an empty table with no welcome... Very unfortunate...

Very, very tasty traditional food at very fair prices with very friendly staff!

I recently wanted to visit the restaurant with a voucher book and unfortunately I was very disappointed. The voucher was actually intended for a main course, but we were told that it was only valid if we also ordered drinks and appetizers. This restriction was not clearly stated anywhere, and it felt as if we were being pressured to consume more in order to be able to use the voucher at all. This is simply outrageous and feels like a rip-off. Overall, a very disappointing experience - we will definitely not be coming back here!

We wanted to grab something quick to eat before the cinema and had allowed 90 minutes for it. That was very close. It took a long time before we even got a card. The drinks we ordered were forgotten. The starters came after a long wait and were very tasty. We recommend the stuffed bread with potatoes, onions and cream cheese. The portions of the lamb and chicken dishes were tasty but too small. There was enough rice but there was very little meat. Information about intolerances to spices was addressed, but 2 out of 4 people had their noses closed afterwards. We would still try this restaurant a second time.

We discovered the restaurant "Tadka" in Kassel completely by chance while we were in town shopping, and it was an absolute stroke of luck! The food was simply delicious. My husband and I tried the lamb biryani while our daughter enjoyed the allo naan (potato bread). Everything was incredibly tasty and freshly prepared. We would also like to particularly emphasize the friendly service - the staff was very attentive and courteous. We can only warmly recommend the “Tadka” and are already looking forward to our next visit!

The food is very tasty! However, you have to be prepared for waiting times and the atmosphere is reminiscent of a German pub. Went there during our lunch break and we waited 45 minutes. I don't understand how something like this can be possible. The chef doesn't just start chopping the vegetables when the order comes in. So unfortunately there is no longer an option for lunch. When ordering for pickup, you have to wait at least 20 minutes on site.

There were two of us and we shared Paneer Butter Masala, Dal Makhni and Garlic Naan. Unfortunately, both dishes, especially the Paneer Butter Masala, were strangely very sweet. A piece of paneer also tasted old or strange. The Garlic Naan was good though. The salty lassis were also very tasty. The ambience is okay, but the furniture (especially the covers) is already very worn out.

Wir essen vegetarisch/vegan, daher können wir zu den Fleischgerichten nichts sagen. Aber was die fleischfreien Gerichte angeht, ist das Tadka einer der besten, wenn nicht gar der beste Inder in ganz Kassel. Einfach nur köstlich! Die Auswahl an vegetarischen und veganen Gerichten ist toll, das Naan super lecker (vor allem das Aloo Paratha mit Kartoffeln lieben wir!). Die Einrichtung ist optisch ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Vorher war dort wahrscheinlich mal ein bürgerliches Restaurant. Aber das tut dem Restaurantbesuch keinen Abbruch, weil das Essen einfach fantastisch ist. Das Personal ist immer freundlich und wenn es nicht gerade vollbesetzt ist, sind die Wartezeiten auch nicht sehr lang. Im dez gibt es übrigens jetzt auch einen kleinen Imbiss, der zum Restaurant gehört und eine Auswahl der gleichen Gerichte anbietet. Ebenfalls sehr lecker! (Die Fotos stammen aus dem dez) Wir gehen sehr gerne hierher und können den Besuch absolut empfehlen!

I tried lamm desi curry and chicken kalimirchi. I really liked the food. However, it was not spicy enough for us (even though we asked extra spicy). The foods come with a bowl of rice. Order your naan accordingly. The naans are very big. I tried butter naan and it was very delicious. The service is modest. The atmosphere is very authentic. I liked the Indian songs as well.

We ordered Butter chicken, Chicken 65, garlic naan, chicken pakoras, & mango lassi. The best part of the whole meal was the naans by far. Butter chicken was just ok. Chicken 65 was nowhere similar to how it should be; very disappointing. Mango lassi was not great. The ambience was not Indian. There were Indian paintings but the music was generic western. None of the servers were Indian. They took 15 minutes to prepare the bill with many mistakes including a wrong item. This delay caused us to miss a train. Overall a disappointing experience.

Truly one of the most authentic Indian Restaurant in Kassel trust me an Indian is telling this they have tasty food I tried their egg Burjee (which is not on the menu) it was soooooo it had the right amount of spice and was not too oily (which I really liked) Apart from that the staff is so friendly and nice they made us feel very comfortable Recently I also ordered from them via Uber Eats food and enjoyed their tasty food at home Regards and keep up the great work you all do

Located right in the city center of Kassel, you will find an expandable restaurant with Indian cuisine. The dishes we chose (one with chicken, one vegetarian) were very tasty and recommended. The enjoyment of the food was not spoiled because of the somewhat sparse amount of rice, but because after we asked for a little more rice, we had to wait ten minutes for it, despite repeated reminders. Of course the rest of the food was cold. And that with four operators and an only moderately busy operation. Unfortunately, we also have to agree with other reviewers regarding the rather modest atmosphere. Rather inappropriate given the location in the city. The prices correspond to the current level and are probably also due to the local city location.
