Restaurant Syrtaki in Hessisch Lichtenau

Food is very tasty. The meat was quite raw. Raw chicken isn't that ideal. At home you would have left the meat at least a few minutes more grilling. Service is outstanding friendly. Prices are very fair.

Were there with two people. The food was good and plentiful and although I'm not actually a fan of Suflaki & Co., it was really tasty. I thought the carafe with Uozo was a nice gesture, not everyone does that. All in all worth the visit. Happy to come back!

Yesterday I ordered something again for a long time, unfortunately the food was not good for all five dishes, fries and meat weren't seasoned in the slightest, some of the salad was already wilted, so you should expect more for the money. It got pretty bad in the beginning, so we probably won't eat anything anymore

Great dishes, beautifully prepared. The waiting time is bridged with a starter salad and is hardly there anyway. Highly recommended. I am and will remain a regular customer

One of the best Greek restaurants I've been to. The food was really delicious and very cheap and the meat from the skewers was very tasty and juicy. The mocha was a bit thin, but still tasted very good. The staff was very friendly, even though we were very late and were the last guests before the lunch break. A clear recommendation from me to eat here. We would love to come back 😊 But there is one big drawback: The toilets 😅 a renovation would be very nice!

Good Greek cuisine... The starter platter for 2 people is highly recommended and really tasty. Since we had reserved there as a large group, there was plenty of ouzo from small carafes at the table. As soon as a carafe was empty, it was refilled...😁

I don't understand all the positive reviews. Did you finish the free liquor before eating? I have now given the shed 3 chances, always at generous intervals, I always order the same thing, bifteki with fried potatoes. The first time I get this really great pepper rice instead of the FRIED potatoes, unfortunately ordered to take away, gag, Bifteki was edible. Then the second time, I get "fried" potato slices, which are most likely frozen goods and were prepared in the oven, again to take away, cough-dry, Bifteki was edible. This was the third time I had my wife, children and mother with me. For the kids the usual fries with nuggets, you can't really go wrong with that, so ok. My mother and her companion took the gyros gratinated, they liked it, shoes gratinated with cheese are also edible. My wife had a grill plate, the pork skewer was very hard meat, the rest seemed ok. And me? Yes, I ordered my Bifteki as usual and got this potato-like abomination again, I don't understand how you can completely screw up something so simple, where the word says everything to know what should happen to these potatoes, Bifteki was dry and only off Half of it had cheese on it. The price for such cheap TK stuff is way too exorbitant. Everyone had a drink and it all cost €140. It looks good inside and out and also in the toilets, service was acceptable. Conclusion: Anyone who drinks heavily there will probably like everything, cheers.

It was the tastiest calamari in years, that's for sure. At just under 20 euros, it's not exactly cheap, but it's a delicious experience. The other dishes at the table, such as the tzatziki, were also finely prepared. For me, Syrtaki with its friendly service team is one of the recommended restaurants in the area.

The outside area is beautifully decorated with flowers. The waiters came to our table without greeting us. The gyros on our plates smelled very unappetizing. The remaining meat was edible. A guest at the next table also gave a devastating verdict.

Always super satisfied so far. Today, however, the gyro meat was very fatty and hardly grilled. A pity.

Portion sizes were good/price was right. The waitresses were friendly. The starter included 3 large slices of home-baked bread, delicious. The gyros could have been crispier for my taste. Ouzo got it for free (extra much). Unfortunately it was very loud.

We spontaneously went for lunch. The sun was shining and you could sit outside. It's very comfortable and the tables are far enough away from the neighbors. We ordered a gyros plate with rice and a small grill plate with fries. The salad was fresh and crunchy and the service was very friendly. There was an Uzo on the house in advance. The food came relatively quickly and looked appealing. The taste was completely normal. The rice was very tasty. I had sautéed onions on the meat, which made it a little mushy and the top layer tasted exclusively of onions. Next time I would skip it and prefer raw onions. Tzatziki was well coordinated. The fries were crispy and the meat from the grill was also fairly normal. But it's all purely a matter of taste. I would come again if it was convenient, but I wouldn't go there just for that reason. I wasn't inside this time so I can't say anything about it.

Food was good, plentiful😋and on the table quickly. There was always a carafe of ouzo on the table 🙃.

Three stars are given because the service unfortunately still leaves a lot of room for improvement. Rude, inattentive and unfocused. Food and drinks are simply brought to the table carelessly. People at the table are still eating but things are already being cleared away. The wish to pay came three times! However, the food is incredibly good. Great products, really well seasoned, a gyro that was really crispy, very well grilled meat skewers. Fries and salad leave a little to be desired. Work a little more on being a host and you will be successful for a long time.

We visited this region at the weekend and got a table for 13 people at very short notice. The service, the food, the price and performance are top!!! If we end up here again, Syrtaki will definitely be our destination. We recommend.

You should definitely book a table here. We were there on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is very busy. The service is fast and has everything under control. The food is delicious and very filling. All in all highly recommended.

Enjoy your meal. Only the salad could be improved in the dressing and the bread for the starter should be toasted a little so that it doesn't taste like normal white bread from the bag.

Bye bye Lieblingsgrieche. Ich glaube wir sind 20 Jahre hier her gegangen. Hauptsächlich wegen dem super essen. Gyros meistens schön knusprig, Pommes auf den Punkt, Reis mit selbstgemachter Soße und diesen leckeren Weißwein Muscheln mit gegrilltem fladenbrot. Vor allem letzteres war geschmacklich nichts.. Es hat uns das Herz gebrochen, dass der alte Besitzer von dannen gezogen ist und der neue braucht ewig um das Essen zu servieren und geschmacklich gefällt es uns leider nicht.

Sehr lecker eigentlich wie früher, nur der Salat müsste mit mehr Dressing serviert werden

Wir waren Vorort essen der Salat war knackig frisch jedoch sehr nüchtern, aber nach würzen geht immer .Hätte mehr Dressing sein dürfen.Tischreservierung notwendig ab 18:30 h keine Möglichkeit mehr Plätze zu bekommen

Das Lokal ist noch fast genauso wie früher, es ist nicht besonders viel verändert bzw erneuert worden. Die sanitären Anlagen sind sauber, aber sehr alt und kalt. Die Beleuchtung ist festlich, was es etwas ungemütlich macht, gerade in dem Raum zur Straße hin. Das Essen ist in Ordnung, die Bedienung nett.

Wir waren Freitag abends mit zwei Erwachsenen und zwei Kindern dort. Es war sehr gut besucht, was für Hessisch Lichtenau ein sehr gutes Zeichen ist. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen Ouzo (nicht nachher wie sonst oft üblich). Eine sehr gelungene Speisekarte, nicht unübersichtlich,oder mit noch chinesischen oder italienischen Gerichten. Es war durch und durch griechische Küche. Das Ambiente ist mediterran aber nicht überladen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Nichts zu bemängeln. Man bemerkte den Spaß an der Arbeit, was selten geworden ist. Die Wartezeit war sehr angenehm, obwohl es fast voll war. Das Essen war super lecker und sehr reichlich. Preis / Leistung optimal. Die Preise waren günstig. Es gab ein kleines hausgemachtes Dessert aufs Haus für jeden Gast. Ich bin selber Gastromom seit 30 Jahren und wir kritisieren ja gerne, aber ich hatte keine Kritikpunkte. Vielleicht drei Verbesserungsvorschläge: 1. Das hausgebackene! Knoblauchbrot, vielleicht etwas heißer, knuspriger und dünner geschnitten. 2. Die Tische sind sehr lieblos eingedeckt. Vielleicht ein Töpfchen echte mediterane Kräuter und Tafelspitz Serviette gedeckt (würde gut passen zu dem mit liebe angerichteten Tellern) 3. Die Anordnung der Tische (rechter Bereich) sieht aus wie in einem lieblosen Bahnhofsrestaurant. Ansonsten bin ich super zufrieden gewesen und werde das Restaurant auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!! Dankeschön für den schönen Abend.

Leckeres Essen und reichlich Ouzo vom Service

Wir waren bereits einige Male hier und das Essen ist immer wieder lecker und gut. Der Gastraum ist groß und eher zweckmäßig. Im Sommer ist es draußen sehr schön.

Waren spontan hier zum Abendessen am einem Mittwoch. Große Halle, wenig Flair, hier könnte man echt was tun für die Akustik, paar Paravents oder Pflanzen aufstellen zum Beispiel...Bedient wurden wir sehr zügig und freundlich, auch das Essen kam in einer angemessenen Zeit, ein Sonderwunsch wurde problemlos umgesetzt. Vorab ein Ouzo aufs Haus, danach einen kleinen Joghurt mit Honig, auch auf Haus. Beide hatten wir Gyrosteller mit Pommes, ein kleiner Salat (frisch, aber mit Sauce ausm Eimer..) kam mit dabei. Für den normalen Hunger reicht es aus, ich wurde auch satt, aber üblicherweise erwartet man beim Griechen echt eine größere Portion. Als ich dann abends im Bett lag, ging mir das echt schwer im Magen herum, gegen halb 12 musste ich mir dann alles nochmal durch den Kopf gehen lassen. Ich habe sonst einen Magen wie ein Elefant.. Keine Ahnung warum ich das hier nicht bei mir behalten konnte. Komme auf jeden Fall nicht nochmal.

Es war sehr voll. Und somit das Personal überfordert. Schon die Reservierung des Tisches war ein Problem wegen der Sprache. Essen ist ok. Freundliches Personal.

Das Essen war sehr lecker gewesen auch der Service war wunderbar, man fühlt sich gut aufgehoben dort. Das Personal hat einen im Auge, so das man nie suchen oder lange warten muss, wenn man etwas bestellen möchte oder einen anderen Wunsch hat. Die Zubereitungszeit war auch sehr schnell gewesen.
