Ein sehr schöner Abend mit sehr leckerem Essen und sehr gutem Service. Immer wieder gerne.

Wir waren gestern Abend zum Speisen in diesen Restaurant. Vorab die Parkmöglichkeiten sind arg bescheiden. Sehr positiv finden wir die wirkliche Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft. Kaum gesessen kam der Kellner um die Getränkewünsche aufzunehmen. Ein paar Minuten später eine kostenlose Beigabe des Hauses. Bot Dipps und Oliven . Kurzdarauf unser Hauptgericht' gemischter Grillteller und einen gemischten Salat. Zum Grillteller,diverse Fleischsorten wie Hacksteak und Chevapcici und ein kleines Stückchen Rindersteak waren nicht richtig heisst und leicht zäh,dafür waren der leckere Reis und die Pommes wohltemperiert. Positiv fanden wir den kostenlosen Hauslikör(2 mal) und den flotten Service. Die Rechnung war der Qualität angemessen. Wir wünschen alles Gute und kommen irgendwann wieder.

Titel: Rundum gelungen – jederzeit wieder! Bewertung: Ich war kürzlich im Steakhaus am alten Markt und bin begeistert. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet – von der Vorspeise bis zum Hauptgericht war alles perfekt zubereitet, saftig und geschmackvoll. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich aber den Service: Sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und zügig, ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. Man hat sich rundum wohlgefühlt. Klare Empfehlung für alle, die gutes Steak und angenehmen Service schätzen!

Bedienung wie immer sehr freundlich🥰Essen war perfekt und köstlich😉 Preise vollkommen Top,für das was wir alles aufgetischt bekommen haben. Suppe,danach jeder ein gut befüllten Teller mit Salat als Vorspeise und dann die gut befüllten Teller mit unseren bestellten Gerichten... Bis zum nächsten mal

Wahr am Samstag Abend Dort essen das erste mal. Und bin sehr überrascht gewesen. Super Ambiente Toller Service. Und Essen wahr hervorragend. Haben mir Schnitzel bestellt mit Bratkartoffeln alles auf den punkt gegart. Dazu als Vorspeise Salat und Dips mit Brot. Wahr wirklich sehr lecker. Bin echt begeistert gewesen. Kommen gerne wieder. Kann ich jeden nur weiterempfehlen. Volle Punktzahl.

Ganz ehrlich ich würde mehr Sterne vergeben 🤩 So was habe ich schon ganz ganz lange nicht mehr Erlebt...Was für ein tolles Ambiente mit super freundlichen Service, super Stimmung und ganz zu schweigen erstmal das Essen Bravo😘. Kein Tk Fleisch oder wie man es sonst nennt...Alles super Frisch und so wie es sein soll. Echt mehr als ein Lob 😇 Und Grüße aus der Küche gab es auch..🤩Was man wirklich nirgendwo mehr findet...Es war ein Genuss und wirklich eine Freude das zu erleben...🤩 Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder...🤩 Da können sehr viele von Lernen Danke für die super schöne Leckere Zeit... Zum 94 Geburtstag meiner Mutter, haben wir ( 12 Personen), den kleinen Raum für uns reservieren lassen. Der Raum war toll vorbereitet und das Team des Hauses, hat uns freundlich und schnell bedient. Uns fehlte es an nichts und mit dem Essen waren wir alle sehr zufrieden. Danke an die komplette Mannschaft die für uns bereit stand.

Wir waren heute Abend spontan dort und wurden sehr nett empfangen. Das Haus war voll, aber uns fehlte es an nix. Lecker essen und zwischendrein immer mal nen Julischka. Wir waren happy. Und alle haben uns gut umsorgt und unterhalten. Wir kommen mit Sicherheit gaaaanz oft wieder!! ❤️

Ich bin seit Jahren Stammgast und bin nie enttäuscht worden. Die Bedienung u.der Service ist Klasse,gehe immer gerne hier hin. BVB Fan aus Olfen

Katastrophe! Fairer Weise kann und möchte ich nur den Abend bewerten an dem wir dort waren. Ob einfache Küche oder Fine Dining, sollte ein Restaurant immer bestrebt sein dem Gast das Bestmögliche zu bieten. Fehler können immer passieren aber sollten Ausnahmen bleiben. Das was ich dort erlebt habe war eine Ohrfeige für den Gast. Ambiente: Die Einrichtung ist schon gut, allerdings gab es einen Geräuschpegel wie in einer Bahnhofshalle, was auch einigen Gästen zuzuschreiben war, die scheinbar keinen Anstand besaßen und meinten lautstark zu reden und lachen. Das Personal war bemüht, wobei ich aber den Eindruck hatte das kein gastronomisches Grundwissen vorlag wie man Gäste bewirtet. Alles war hektisch, die Kellner rannten teilweise durch das Restaurant. Ich hatte den Eindruck sie wussten nicht was sie tun. Also was das Ambiente angeht war das für mich reiner Stress. Zum Essen: Ich hatte eine gemischte Fleischplatte. Oh Gott, eine Katastrophe. Minischnitzel ohne Würze keinerlei Salz oder Pfeffer. Schweinesteak und Gehaktes völlig totgebraten und zäh. Das Rindersteak war zäh und mehr ein Fleischabschnitt der bestenfalls für ein Saucenfond geeignet war. Der Salat als Vorspeise einfallslos. Eisberg, Kraut und eine halbe Tomate und vermutlich Fertigdressing. Allerdings die Pommes waren akzeptabel (keine Kunst). Ganz ehrlich, ich weis nicht wer da gekocht hat. Vielleicht den Beruf wechseln oder an seine Motivation arbeiten? Was die Qualität angeht ist hier Luft nach oben und der Gast wird dafür immer einen etwas höheren Preis akzeptieren. Qualität statt Quantität! Es gibt ähnliche Restaurants in der Umgebung die das zeigen.

Immer top Service - herzlich und gut! Hervorragende Speisen, beste Fleischqualität - wir kommen natürlich wieder!

Wir waren am zweiten Weihnachtstag dort und leider war es absolut grauenhaft. Ich verstehe es, dass es an den Feiertagen stressig wird und auch, dass es eine abgespeckte Karte gibt, aber darunter darf einfach nicht der Geschmack leiden. Zu jedem Gericht, gab es eine Vorsuppe, Salat und ein Dessert. Als Suppe gab es eine Art Buchstabensuppe. War ok, aber nichts besonderes. Dafür aber kein Abzug. Der Grund für die schlechte Bewertung kommt jetzt. Direkt nach dem abräumen der Suppe, wurden bereits unsere Gerichte gebracht, knapp 15min nachdem wir überhaupt bestellt hatten, was schon mal als Indiz dafür gelten könnte, dass es nicht wirklich frisch war, sondern aufgewärmt, was sich dadurch bestärkte, dass das essen nur lauwarm war. Auf die Nachfrage hin, was mit unseren Salaten ist kam ein verwirrtes "oh, habt ihr die noch nicht? Bringen wir" Dieses "bringen wir" hat dann aber auch noch mal drei mal nachfragen gedauert. Bei unserem Gericht stand nur "Rumpsteak mit Champignon und Pommes" also haben wir jeder eine bernaise dazu bestellt. Das was dann ankam, war eine Zumutung. Die bernaise war so viel, dass man sich das auch hätte teilen können, das steak war in irgendeiner braten sose getränkt, welche nicht auf der Karte stand (sonst hätten wir keine sose dazu bestellt) und die Pilze waren definitiv aus der Dose. Ich bin mir auch sehr sicher, dass das kein Rumpsteak war. Es war zäh und der typische fettrand fehlte komplett. Bei meiner Schwägerin war das hawaii schnitzel in hollandaise ertränkt, was ebenfalls nicht auf der Karte stand, sonst hätte die es nicht genommen, da sie keine hollandaise mag. Der Nachtisch war wie Kleister oder pürierter Milchreis mit schokostückchen. Nicht genießbar. Der Kellner war dezent aufgedreht und auch etwas durcheinander. So haben wir zb Getränke bestellt, 3 von 6 hat er aufgeschrieben und ist dann gegangen ohne die anderen 3 nach Getränken zu fragen. Als wir davon berichtet haben, dass das essen sehr schlecht war und die Soßen nicht auf der Karte standen, meinte er nur "joa, das Missverständnis hatte ich schon öfters heute" Es war also bekannt und da hätte man auch was sagen können. Schade um das viele Geld, nie wieder.

Absolut enttäuschend. Dreckige Tischdecke, unzuverlässiger Service – mehrfach wurden Essen und Getränke vergessen. Statt frischer Zutaten gab es Pilze aus der Dose, die Pilzsoße war ungenießbar. Das Dessert schmeckte grauenhaft. Der Kellner wirkte völlig neben der Spur, höflich ausgedrückt. Keine Empfehlung!

The steakhouse at the Old Market is simply the best place in the whole city! As a family-run business, it exudes a wonderful, warm atmosphere, and the quality of the steaks is outstanding. The service is always friendly and attentive, and you feel right at home. Highly recommended!

We ate at the steakhouse for the first time today and were very satisfied. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the service was excellent and quick. It has a very informal and fun atmosphere, which I really enjoyed. The food was plentiful and delicious. We'd love to come back and have already made reservations.

We ate there after visiting the 1950s Museum. The food and drinks were excellent. Large portions for a reasonable price. The owner was friendly and entertaining, and treated us to a few small schnapps on the house.

The food is, as always, top-notch. The service is very friendly and, at times, quite funny. We particularly like the latter, as it creates a familiar atmosphere. That's why we're always drawn from Haltern to Datten whenever we're craving a steak during a restaurant visit.

We can't say anything negative. We ordered food for eight people plus two children's menus to pick up. Everything was great!

We can't confirm the positive reviews. We were disappointed for the second time in a row. There won't be a third time. The meat was an outrage. It was almost impossible to cut. The explanation was wild. "It was neck, it's always like that."

Based on a recommendation and the positive reviews, we were eager to visit this steakhouse. Unfortunately, we were disappointed and unsatisfied today. The welcome from the kitchen was pleasant, but we suspect the bread was toasted and not freshly baked. Our starters were mushrooms in garlic sauce, which turned out to be mushrooms in hollandaise sauce. The baked Camembert wasn't warm and had to be returned to the kitchen, only to come out somewhat warm. Neither starter impressed us. The main courses disappointed us in that the meat wasn't cooked thoroughly. The side dishes weren't to our taste either. The team is friendly, and the restaurant owner also tried to offer us a small compensation in a very friendly and polite manner.

I've been there several times. Very good food. Simply delicious. Large and good selection. Prices are reasonable. The staff is great. The little waiter always makes you laugh. He always has a joke. We'll definitely be back soon. I highly recommend it.

My husband and I ate here for the first time for my birthday, and it was truly first-class. The gentleman who served us was very classy; it was absolutely perfect.

The staff who deliver the food are friendly, the food is delicious, everything is top-notch. But there's one thing I don't like: The restaurant owner insults his employees too often, which is a big minus for me. He doesn't know how to value and respect his employees. 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

Today was our first time eating outside. The steaks (T-bone and rump steak) were cooked medium-rare and very tasty. The service was also friendly and chatty. We can definitely recommend it.

We had the 61 for 2 people. Simply delicious and really good. There isn't much to choose from for dessert but it's enough.

Very tasty food and nice, funny waiters. The prices are low and the food is delicious. The waiters have probably made it their mission to make the evening a unique experience with their funny manner. The quality of the restaurant clearly stands out among other locally based restaurants. The waiters are also happy to accept special requests. There are also offers for children and seniors that are even cheaper. The seating is very comfortable and nice, but could be even better. All in all, a recommendation for anyone who likes meat. Even vegetarians won't be left hungry here, even if the menu mainly contains meat dishes. (The salad bar has been abolished due to Corona, but it is still possible to get delicious salads.) A waiter makes an excellent mocha.

We happened to pass by there and got something to eat there in the late afternoon. Very friendly and open service. Nicely covered. There was bread and butter with the salad. Plus a liqueur on the house. Very pleasantly surprised. Good price-performance ratio. If we lived nearby we would love to come back. Thanks for the service.

As always, the food tasted excellent, the service is motivated, friendly, competent and quick. Although it was full on the weekend, there were no longer waiting times in the privately run restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and you can see that there is a high proportion of regular customers. We'd love to come back.

Seldom eaten so badly. The grill plate was a disaster. Steak with thick tendon, everything else very dry. Fries not crispy, so not good at all.

We were your guests for the first time today and will definitely come back. A place in the sun in your beautiful beer garden - great quality food - reasonable portions. And a delicious goulash soup as a greeting from the kitchen and a fresh salad. I love funny Bosniak. It was super fried and well seasoned. Meln's partner had the Pottporrie plate - also very tasty. Thanks also for the Julischka. The boss asked personally whether it tasted good. Here as a guest you are king - the service was also great - everyone was super friendly and quick.
