The appetizer platters were great. The meat dishes were tasty and the portions were generous. Prices were a bit high. The recommendation of the week didn't quite convince me; the grilled salmon was excellent, but the spaghetti was boring. The service was friendly and attentive.

Everything was top-notch, the food and hospitality were outstanding. We're always happy to come back.

Too bad, unfortunately a bit disappointing this time...found small stones in the salad (unfortunately only green salad left), rice a bit too hard, gyros with almost no Metaxa sauce, but a bit too salty...and the orange homemade sauce turned out to be tzatziki for the second time....very unfortunate

We celebrated our children's communion here – and it was simply perfect! From the festively set table to the smooth operation and the delicious menu, everything was lovingly organized down to the last detail. Our guests were thrilled, and we couldn't have wished for a more beautiful venue. The restaurant was also completely modernized and refurbished a while ago. The result is magnificent: a stylish, modern ambiance that simultaneously exudes a warm and cozy atmosphere. The new dessert menu is also a real highlight – creative, varied, and simply heavenly delicious. It's worth taking a look at my photos! The restaurant is large, yet still offers nice, quiet spaces for conversation. There's no time pressure; you can sit and enjoy your meal. The service is good and unobtrusive. The food is good and the portions are generous. I highly recommend it. Parking is somewhat limited, but there are plenty nearby.

Due to the good reviews, we were intrigued and spontaneously went there for dinner. We didn't have a reservation and were immediately shown to a great table. The service was very attentive and friendly. We were also delighted with the food. We were offered a glass of ouzo before our meal and a small pudding on the house afterward. We were thrilled and will be coming back often :)

We decided on the spur of the moment to spend a pleasant evening here with the three of us. The food was consistently delicious: the fries were crispy, the meat skewers were very juicy, the calamari was delicious, the pita was perfect, and the gyro was just as it should be—we'd gladly come back.

You can have fantastic food here, at a fair price. Large portions that are almost impossible to finish. The gyros are juicy and the calamari is super delicious. Great atmosphere, you feel at home here.

We celebrated our birthday again and received magnificent service. The food was excellent. As always, everything was fantastic.

The two of us went there for dinner yesterday. The restaurant has a lovely Greek decor. All the staff were very friendly and kept asking if everything was okay. The food was truly delicious. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with a starter we had ordered. We didn't say anything, though, as we were already undecided between the two starters. I'm giving it 5 stars because we were really very happy with our visit. We were also given free ouzo and espresso at the beginning and end, and everyone also got a pudding. I highly recommend the restaurant, and we'd gladly come back.

It's a rare experience where everything fits perfectly: ouzo to welcome us, passion fruit spritzer (deserves its name!), delicious starters and main course, and finally, another delicious ouzo and dessert on the house. The food was delicious, so I would go back, even though there were few vegetarian options for main courses. The ambiance depends on which part of the restaurant you sit in. I wasn't so satisfied with the service on my first visit. Two out of three waiters didn't understand simple questions, and I had to consult a third waiter who spoke German. Overall, it seemed rather chaotic and took a long time.

Although it's about 30 km away and other Greek restaurants are closer, I always enjoy eating at Sokrates. The quality of the food is simply perfect here, and consistently very good. It's also nice that the side salad here can still be called a side salad and hasn't been reduced to the size that sometimes happens elsewhere. The service staff is always polite, attentive, and courteous, and the obligatory ouzo is always reliably served as a welcome drink ;-) While there are only a few parking spaces in front of the restaurant, there is a large, free parking lot directly across Niederscheyerer Straße, less than 200 meters from the restaurant. Food and Atmosphere good but service is terrible. 3 times eating there now as a family and always the same. All waiters and servers can walk past your table multiple times and never look to your table or check. Slow service, late service, forget what you ask for. Place needs a manager.

Unfortunately, we cannot understand these great reviews. We reserved a table for two 14 days ago based on the reviews. When we arrived, a table for two was taken away from another table and we were squeezed in about 25 cm away from this table. We then reserved a table for a replacement seat 14 days in advance. That's just outrageous, we are then after a short while got up and left without ordering. This place will never see us again

Unfortunately very disappointed, Tzatziki is very angry, as I was about this visit. You usually get Retina with Sprite separately so that you can prepare it yourself, here you get it ready in a carafe, which is a shame. The grill plate, here the lamb cutlet was completely over-salted, souflakie was so white, has nothing to do with meat. Despite pointing out that we weren't happy, there was no reaction, just a small pudding with cream. This is not correct behavior if a customer is not satisfied. But good, so 4 adults disappointed... and not recommended

We were there on January 1st. Evening with 5 adults and two children. The ambience is great. There is a large selection of food and everyone enjoyed it very much. The portion sizes are reasonable. I would particularly like to highlight the very child-friendly staff! Maybe a little higher priced for the location and type of restaurant. Still happy again.

Scampi is not scampi but unfortunately a large shrimp. Otherwise the food was okay.

Very very good food. Not everyone can prepare calamari. I particularly liked the version with sheep's cheese filling. The tzatziki was wonderfully creamy and with lots of garlic. Unfortunately, in other Greek restaurants I was served completely inedible calamari that was almost impossible to chew and the tzazki was very watery, so I'm happy to have found such a great Greek restaurant. There was even dessert and ouzo on the house. The service is friendly and what particularly impressed me was the air conditioning outside. An absolute blessing in the current high temperatures. I don't know that from any other restaurant.

I've definitely been to Greek restaurants several times. But I had never eaten as good as I did at Socrates. So delicious. You can taste that it is freshly cooked. The service is also really great. And the ambience... fantastic.
