Unfortunately, I can't remember what dish I had. It was absolutely delicious except for the mussels. They tasted of nothing. No flavor of their own. I didn't say anything because everything else was perfect.

An excellent restaurant with a regularly changing menu. For many years, it has maintained the highest quality standards in southern Hamburg and is always competitive with the best Italian restaurants north of the Elbe. The wine list offers specialities from all Italian regions at fair prices. The entire staff, the chef, and the restaurant manager deserve special praise. I would gladly return anytime.

Overrated. The food is okay, but not worth the price. They're basically just chasing outdated trends. The staff is similarly arrogant. They're arrogant and dismissive right from the reception desk. I've eaten at quite a few high-quality restaurants, and Silo16 lacks a certain amount of professionalism. Just because there are hardly any alternatives in Harburg doesn't mean you can behave like that.

Beautifil restaurant and the food is very food!

The food was too salty and the service was very poor after a complaint... there is clear potential for improvement.

The woman with the black hair was the most unfriendly waitress I've ever experienced. She didn't acknowledge her mistakes, and she always reacted irritably to polite remarks. Never again!

The ambiance is great and the decor is appealing. We enjoyed the food; it was of good quality. Only the service could have been better. Unfortunately, it took a long time for us to place our order, even though the restaurant wasn't full. We would have liked to order another drink or two during our meal, but unfortunately, there was no waiter nearby. That was a shame. Conclusion: Good food and ambiance, friendly service, but room for improvement.

During a visit today, after dinner, we were informed that due to Silo16's insolvency, they would no longer accept valid and paid vouchers. Absolutely outrageous! A notification before ordering or upon entering the restaurant would have been the least we could have expected!

Great restaurant. At lunch and dinner! The service is excellent (everyone is very friendly) and all the dishes are fantastic (I'll soon have finished them all). I especially recommend the truffle pasta made from the cheese. Open Mondays and Tuesdays for lunch. Owner-managed, of course!

Cool location, not your average Italian restaurant...food very tasty.

Great shop, usually a regular, but even now it's really delicious! The tagliatelle were still warm after 20 minutes of transport, not too soft, a real treat. We were again able to pick up something delicious, and now we're looking forward to the Easter box. The Easter box is absolutely amazing and we completely devoured it (even though it's only Good Friday). Nothing has changed, absolutely fantastic.

We were there on the evening of June 27, 2025, two people with a €50 gift voucher in our pockets. We ate Vitello Tonnato and a Silo 16 variation to start with, along with truffle tagliatelle with beef fillet tips and pink-fried tuna. Along with various drinks, including two bottles of Terre di Tuffi. The price-performance ratio was completely overblown... the total bill was €304.20. Then, the shocker... the voucher was refused with the "quiet" comment that the company was insolvent! No regrets, no attempt by the management to at least offer a drink on the house as compensation... that would have been at least an attempt at a concession... All in all, a failed evening! What a shame!

We had reserved a table by email, received a confirmation, and then confirmed it by phone. When we arrived at Silo 16, we were told that there was no reservation and no table was available. The manager was neither cooperative nor did she seem interested in resolving the issue. Since the space is truly wonderful, it's a real shame, and I can't recommend Silo 16 due to the poor service and the high prices.

We were there today to celebrate a birthday, and I have to say I'm extremely disappointed. In such a beautiful setting, with a rather upscale menu, I expected appropriate service. It didn't even come close to meeting the standard. No clearing of empty glasses, no asking if you'd like another drink when the glasses were empty, no asking if you enjoyed your meal, and you had to make yourself heard for the bill, even though the place was practically empty. It's a real shame, because if the service had done its job well, we would definitely have ordered more cocktails and desserts, but a restaurant stands or falls with its service staff. Perhaps the staff, including the manager or restaurant management, would be willing to attend a training course with experienced restaurant managers? Just a suggestion, because the food is actually good, although two of my friends are now experiencing gastrointestinal problems. The waiter even asked if we wanted to wrap up half the pizza or store it there so we could eat it there in two weeks. Questionable. The price-performance ratio is truly abysmal. It's a shame about the great ambiance; it's more show than substance.

After hearing a lot of positive things about this restaurant, we wanted to enjoy fine Italian cuisine in Harburg ourselves. We were a bit irritated right from the start when, when asked, only one of the three people at the table received the drinks menu. Even when the rest of our group was already sitting at our table, we had to wave the waitress over to be able to place further orders. The starters were visually and culinary appealing, the main course was disappointing with very small portions and some of the dishes being presented quite carelessly. The faucet in the men's room needs repair; What was also strange was that the women's toilet was completely under water while we were there, making it temporarily impossible to enter. Overall, the price-performance ratio is not right: In the upscale gastronomy, in which the restaurant is positioned in terms of price, in addition to a harmonious overall concept, it is also common for the wine to be refilled and the service staff to be more attentive. You won't find that here. Our conclusion: We are still looking for a new favorite Italian.

We were there for lunch. Both ordered tagliatelle and the food tasted great! Unfortunately not the portion. Far too little. After honest feedback, I was told that it was a lunch menu, hence the small portions. Definitely not price/performance ratio here. The waitress then got a little upset and immediately brought me the bill without asking whether we wanted dessert or an espresso. There was still enough time. Unprofessional for a restaurant like this. I ate there before the pandemic and the service/portions were significantly better. It's a shame, it was my last visit there

What an atmosphere! This excellent Italian restaurant is located in an old silo. We were there with a small group to celebrate the end of our training. The food was great - from the bread to the pasta with truffles and fillet tips to the various dessert options - it was a difficult decision. The wine selection rounded off the difficult decision-making process. My rose wine - excellent. A great evening that gave rise to the idea of ​​having our alumni meetings take place there in the future.

Beautiful Italian restaurant in a converted old silo, but not for those on a budget. I've been coming here occasionally with friends and family for years and am consistently satisfied. The food is really exceptionally good. It's definitely worth trying out the seasonal specials. Wine recommendations have always been good and appropriate. The service overall is great. The manager of the house always greets the guests personally and is available at any time. The waiters know what they are doing. The bartenders also show off their skills. Despite the concrete walls of the old silo, they have managed to equip the restaurant in such a way that it offers an exclusive and special flair. Out of the window you can see the canal in Harburg Harbor, the walls are decorated with matching Italian-style pictures. All in all, highly recommended. A visit is particularly worthwhile if you have something to celebrate in a small group.

A very nice modern Italian. However, not recommended. We had the tagliatelle in a parmesan wheel and pizza. The tagliatelle would be prepared next to the table in a parmesan bowl. Unfortunately, they didn't taste much like Parmesan and a liquid from a pot, I think lukewarm pasta water, which was subsequently poured over the pasta, watered down the entire plate, which was then placed lukewarm on the table. The pizza base was so hard that it was difficult to cut with a knife. Statement from the waiter: You can also eat pizza by hand. A cheeky statement at the table. The apple spritzer tasted like water. One glass was contaminated on the inside and disgusting. Sorry but we definitely won't go there again. Price performance is a disgrace

The Caesar salad came from the fridge and the anchovies were not in the sauce, but served outside as decoration. The tarte flambée for €20 could also have been sold for €9. No decoration. Carelessly done. Luckily the taste was good. Two points deducted for these two reasons. The atmosphere is 10/10. The service good.

Poor quality at absolutely overpriced. Unfriendly staff. Cold pizza and the answer that it belongs that way. You will freeze in this restaurant in winter and should dress warmly or bring a wool blanket with you. This store is for people with status issues. See and be seen is the motto here. This store won't see me again. There is a lack of humility and down-to-earthness here.

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant did not live up to expectations. The service left a lot to be desired: The team was not attentive, one waitress seemed unfriendly, repeatedly forgot our requests and was neither helpful nor polite. Friendliness and professionalism were sought in vain here. The food was also disappointing. The fish soup seemed anything but fresh – it was probably made days ago and reheated over and over again. The duck was tough and rubbery, making it almost inedible. The highlight was the tiramisu, which was simply poured from a glass onto the plate for a whopping 14 euros - completely unreasonable for this price. We felt neither warmly welcomed nor well served. That's why I can't recommend this restaurant under any circumstances and I definitely won't be coming back.

A really great location. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right. Excessive prices for quite good, but not outstanding, food with small portions. I think three spoons of tiramisu for €13 is pretty decent, even if it's very tasty. Overall, the mood of the staff seems quite strained and not very positive. Silo 16 is a really great place! The atmosphere is unique – a great mix of modern design and cozy industrial charm. Very nice ambience with the concrete silos that float above you and the high glass fronts directly facing the canal. The bruschetta and the pizzas are highly recommended, a little more unusual but the dough is a 10/10. The Vitello Tonnato is also homemade according to the boss. The price is actually fair for what you can't necessarily get elsewhere.

Had dinner there yesterday (three of us). Wine list: Great! Food: Great! However, they were thrown out at five to eleven. We couldn't even finish our wine. Another bottle of the very tasty Lugana, which we would have liked to have taken with us (not everyone goes to bed with the chickens), was not included due to lack of access to the cash register. With tips we spent almost 280 euros. And then you can't even finish your drink? A pity!

Always worth a visit. The owners, two cool Italians, have the place under control. The staff is not intrusive and yet very attentive. The location in an old warehouse is original and pleasantly open. The Pizza Amalfi is an exceptional and delicious combination of pizza and lemon and highly recommended. We'd love to come back.

Went to Silo 16 for the first time yesterday, based on a recommendation. Without having made a table reservation, the four of us simply walked in there. The first impression: Wow! What a big restaurant. We were greeted in a very friendly manner by the boss and accompanied to a round table. Time to look around: your gaze stays on the ceiling. There are paintings in the entrance area under a very high dome. Similar to Caesars Palace. But the highlight are the huge silo shafts that are still preserved and under which you sit. The location right on the water with the beautiful terrace has already made me want to visit again when the weather is nice. Overall very clean and spaciously furnished. Very nice. For dinner we decided on the antipasti variations and an additional portion of Vitello Tonnato. I can't tell you how many times I've eaten antipasti. But these were different and incredibly tasty. These included tomato with mozzarella foam, baked eggplant, mini bruschetta, warm prawns on incredibly good ratatouille, carpaccio, tuna tartare, baked ravioli with wild broccoli and vitello. Everything is well tempered and delicious. With Vitello from veal fillet!!! (Super tasty), the baked and warm caper apples were a real surprise. Great. Main courses: Beef fillet with porcini mushroom crust. You can't do better. Tagliatelle at the table, coated in Parmesan, with beef fillet. Everything to the point. Tagliatelle in Pernod sauce with shrimps. I have to cook it again. Heavenly Shrimp Aglio e Olio with salad. What a portion! And the simple salad was so good it deserves special mention. A wonderful dessert variation for dessert. Everything in top quality! Conclusion: Best restaurant visit in forever! Best price-performance ratio! Please be sure to try them all out! But please don't forget to reserve. This review was not requested by the restaurant and is based on my personal experience.

This place was recommended to me by folks who live in the neighbourhood. The location is super-cool and stylish. We had a table on the canal side, must be even more lovely in the summer, when the terrace is open. Somewhat mixed experience with the service, one waiter top-notch (could recommend wine to pair with the food, tell us more about stuff we were eating, which dessert on the daily menu is the best etc.), others not so much. As for the food, I'd expect perhaps a bit more creativity or originality in this price category. And like, folks, pasta arrabiatta should be SPICY. Makes-your-cheeks-blush spicy. The mild tomato-ey sauce that I got on my plate instead made me wonder if they ran out of chillies for today

Older staff snooty and unfriendly

Business lunch a few months ago: Quality of the food was good, The quality of the service was poor, at first there was no offer to try the wine, after which we almost died of thirst for the rest of the evening because we never saw the service again after everyone had one (!) drink. This ruins the entire impression and does not match the prices and the level that they obviously want to portray here. Added to this is the insane volume, which makes it really difficult to communicate at arm's length. The location in the wannabe-Schicki-Micki corner of Harburg didn't knock me off my chair either. All in all, nothing that you have to have twice.

Despite being at full capacity, we were able to have a great time. I only make a small deduction for the prices, which in my opinion are a bit too expensive. Otherwise everything was great!

Ambience great, food good, but service impossible. After I was bathed in wheat beer, they acted like it was my fault and teased me all evening if I wanted to spill another beer. The waitress didn't have her tablet under control, I had nothing to do with it. Had to pay the full bill after having to listen to these rude things about the beer accident all evening. You won't see us again. Impossible!

Ich habe seit langem mal wieder eine Pizza gegessen und muss sagen, dass war mit Abstand die schlechteste Pizza die ich gegessen habe! Einfach viel zu dünn und hart als würde ich von einem Knäckebrot abbeissen. Der Belag war einfach nur eine Tomatenmark Soße und dann einfach ein Stück Mozzarella in der Mitte in geklatscht! Also sorry, für diesen Preis hätte ich bisschen mehr erwartet! Der Service war aber in dem Fall super !

Obwohl wir einen Weißwein zum Essen. Erstellt hatten, wurde das Essen ohne Wein serviert. Erst auf Nachfragen kam dann der Wein. Nach ewigen Minuten. „Wieso, was habenSie, hier ist doch der Wein“, so der patzige Kellner. Wir haben bezahlt und sing gegangen. Ich koche mit Nudeln zuhause. Nie wieder Silo. Aber vielleicht gibts das ja auch nicht mehr lang.

Am Schellerdamm 16 findet man einen ehemaligen Getreidesilo. Ursprünglich bestand der Speicher aus 16 Silotürmen. Im Restaurant Silo 16 sieht man noch den historischen Trichter des ehemaligen Silos. Es wird eine exquisite italienische Küche in edlem Ambiente angeboten. Es gibt eine Aussenterrasse direkt am Kanal des Harburger Hafens. Eine besondere Spezialität sind die "Tagliatelle mit Trüffeln", die im Parmesanlaib gerührt und dann serviert werden. Es gibt Fleisch - und Fischgerichte, Pizzen, Salate, Vorspeisen, Desserts und Grappa. Meine italienische Meeresfrüchte/Fischsuppe war sehr schmackhaft und reichhaltig. Kolleg*innen waren ebenfalls sehr begeistert von den Tagliatelle im Parmesanlaib, den großen Pizzen und Desserts. Die Preise sind angemessen dem Level der exquisiten Küche.

Das Personal war an diesem Abend sehr unfreundlich. Keine nette Begrüßung, nicht einmal ein Lächeln im Gesicht. Sehr unaufmerksam und nach dem Hauptgericht ließ sich niemand mehr blicken. Es gab auch keine Verabschiedung. Die Karte hatte wenig Auswahl im Sinne von zwei oder drei Fleischsorten. Weder auf der Abendkarte, noch auf der regulären. Auf die Möglichkeit von dem extra Gericht in Form von Nudeln im Parmesanleib wurden wir gar nicht erst hingewiesen. Das haben wir nur am Rande bei anderen Gästen entdeckt. Wir wollten uns einen schönen Abend zum 40. Hochzeitstag machen und sind enttäuscht nach Hause gefahren. Wir würden das Restaurant auf keinen Fall weiterempfehlen.
