Side ist ein gutes türkisches Restaurant mit einem schönen Biergarten. Essen gut, und Bedienung. Wir hatte Pech, denn es waren Handwerker da mit Bohrer und Flex, was ziemlich nervig war. Und das am Wochenende. Aber wir gehen wieder hin, allerdings rufen wir vorher an und fragen, ob die Renovierung abgeschlossen ist.

Wir waren schon sehr oft hier essen und wurden jedes Mal aufs Neue begeistert. Das Essen ist einfach lecker – wirklich köstlich! Das Fleisch ist immer frisch und die Beilagen sind ebenfalls hervorragend. Ein besonderes Highlight ist die Hebung für zwei Personen. Dazu kommen das schöne Ambiente und der tolle Service. Wir kommen immer wieder sehr gerne zu euch!

Wir waren in dem Restaurant zu zweit vegetarische Maze essen. Die verschiedenen Sprossen waren vielfältig und sehr lecker. Nur das Fladenbrot war leider etwas trocken. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr gut. Es war super warm aber draussen im Schatten sehr angenehm. Die Bedienung war sehr nett.

Wir waren unterwegs in der Nähe von Bochum und wollten dann Mal wieder In Side vorbei schauen wir sind ab und an Mal hier. Das Essen ist sehr gut. Für Fleischliebhaber, Vegetarischer oder Leute die Türkisches essen Mal ausprobieren möchten ein guter Ort. Laut anderen Personen vor Ort ist der Alkohol (Wein) auch gut. Kann dazu tatsächlich nicht viel sagen wir trinken kein Alkohol. Lokal drin interessant nicht wirklich türkisch, das Lokal Ähnlich Ehr einem Biergarten. Also Mal was anderes als das typische Türkische Lokal aber fanden wir Person gut. Hinten ist auch eine Art Terrasse (Groß viel Platz, man kann auch reservieren) mit Überdachung. Kellner sind auch super freundlich und engagiert. Man kann Bar oder mit EC zahlen. Preisklasse geht kommt auch drauf an was man bestellt. Wir haben vieles ausprobiert siehe Bilder und wir waren zu zweit. Rechnung war bei ca 70/80€. Aber günstiger und teuer geht auch.

Wir waren begeistert! ❤️ Zur Mittagszeit haben wir gut einen Parkplatz gefunden und ein Schild wies uns an, den Weg rechts neben dem Haus runter zu gehen. Unten angekommen wurden wir sehr nett und freundlich begrüßt und konnten uns einen Tisch unter einer Bedachung oder im Freien an schönen, gepflegten Rosen oder grüner Hecke aussuchen. Die Karte zeigte uns, daß die türkische Küche sooo viel mehr kann, als nur Döner bzw Imbiss! Auch wenn es für uns ein lange Fahrt war, wir werden uns wiedersehen, denn das Essen war lecker, interessant und einfach mal was anderes 🫶🥳🤗😘

Warnung: Schlemmerbuch-Besitzer werden hier nicht bedient!Der Chef und das Personal waren unglaublich unfreundlich. Uns wurde direkt gesagt, dass man mit dem Schlemmerbuch hier unerwünscht ist und nicht bedient wird. Kundenservice sieht anders aus – absolut enttäuschend!

Ich habe das Restaurant gestern besucht, um einen Gutschein aus einem kulinarischen Gutscheinbuch (Zwei Hauptgerichte zum Preis von einem) einzulösen. Vor Ort wurde die Annahme des Gutscheins einfach verweigert. Als ich daraufhin telefonisch das Gespräch mit dem Besitzer suchte, wurde ich extrem unhöflich abgespeist. Mir wurde wörtlich gesagt: „Das ist mir scheißegal, können Sie sich beschweren.“ So geht man nicht mit Kundschaft um! Wer an solchen Gutschein-Aktionen teilnimmt, um Kunden anzulocken, sollte sich auch an die Regeln halten und Gäste respektvoll behandeln. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen.

An einem Sommer Nachmittag im ruhigen, grünen Innenhof gegessen. Wir hatten aus der Grill Karte Lamm und Hähnchen gewählt. Sehr saftig und lecker. Halva und Mocca zum Schluss. Vom Haus aus gab es Apfeltee.

Top Lokalität, sehr zu empfehlen. Es gibt im Sommer einen schönen Biergarten. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und gut.

Super Gastfreundlich.. extrem Lecker. Ich will mich nicht zu weit aus dem Fenster lehnen aber ich habe noch nie so gut und lecker wie in diesem Restaurant gegessen. 10/10 ...

Bei schönem Wetter saßen wir draußen im Biergarten, von der Straße bekommt man wenig mit, schön ruhig im grünem / Terasse Preis Leistung vom Essen ist Super, frisch zubereite warme Vorspeisen. Hauptgericht Grillteller hat auch sehr gut geschmeckt. Bedienung/ Service super freundlich

Wirklich angenehme Atmosphäre, wir haben uns wohl gefühlt, ausgesprochen freundlicher Service. Das Essen war lecker und reichlich. Besonders positiv finde ich, dass das Essen frisch zubereitet wird und die Küche auf Unverträglichkeiten Rücksicht nimmt.

Seit vielen Jahren gehen wir nun schon in das Restaurant Side. Oft schon haben wir andere Freunde mitgebracht und wir sind jedes Mal gleichermaßen angetan vom leckeren Essen. Schön finden wir, dass das Publikum absolut gemischt ist, ob Jung oder Alt, ob deutsch oder türkisch(stämmig), jeder fühlt sich hier wohl und gut aufgehoben. Wir kommen jederzeit gerne wieder!!!

Waren gestern mit mein Bruder da wurden ganz Herzlich empfangen die Frau die uns bedient hat ist noch zu uns ans Tisch gekommen und hat sich ganz net und freundlich mit un unterhalten als ob wir uns schon länger kennen ich und mein Bruder waren mit dem Essen und der Bedienung einfach perfekt zufrieden besser geht es nicht war alles lecker und frisch zubereitet ein ganz lieben Gruß an euch macht weiter so Perfekt 😉😎😉

Wir waren am Samstag mal wieder dort essen. Wir waren vollends zufrieden. Schneller Service, sehr freundlich und das Essen war top und mehr als ausreichend.

Wir waren rundum begeistert! Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und hatte ein angenehm familiäres Flair, bei dem man sich sofort wohlfühlt. Besonders schön fanden wir, dass unsere Gerichte gleichzeitig serviert wurden – so konnten wir beide entspannt zusammen mit dem Essen beginnen. Ein weiteres Highlight war der Gruß aus der Küche, was man heutzutage nur noch selten erlebt und uns positiv überrascht hat. Solche kleinen Aufmerksamkeiten machen den Besuch einfach besonders. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall sehr gerne und vor allem sehr oft wieder!

Sehr gemütlich. Bewundere jedes Mal die schönen Bögen, die ein sehr geduldiger Mensch gefertigt hat. Essen auch makelllos. Nur 4 Sterne, weil ich (ohne Brille) mein Wunschgericht versucht hab zu beschreiben, der Kellner aber nicht gedankenlesen konnte. Das recht konkret bestellte Dessert wurde in abgewandelter Form serviert (ohne vorheriges Nachfragen, ob das so ok sei.) Hat dem Ganzen ein bissl die Klasse genommen, aber das essen war sehr lecker und ich komme gerne wieder. Sehr schön fand ich, dass man als einzelne Person einen Tisch in einem gemütlichen Bereich bekommt und nicht "am Katzentisch neben der Toilette" abgestellt wird. Vom Häppchen vorneweg über den abwechslungsreichen Beilagensalat (geriebener Rotkohl) und den gastfreundschaftlichen Chai hat es mir hier sehr gut gefallen.

Mein Essen war sehr lecker und das Preis/Leistung Verhältnis war für mich auch gut.

Wir waren heute das erste Mal dort. Der Service super, sehr schnell und immer freundlich. Essen super und fehlt eine Soße was aber kein Problem war. Wir werden sicherlich noch einmal kommen. 👍

Heute zum ersten Mal dort gegessen. Direkt am Eingang wurden wir sehr freundlich begrüßt und zu unseren Plätzen gebracht. Die Einrichtung der Gaststätte ist rustikal und sehr gemütlich. Die Entscheidung, was wir essen wollten war recht schwierig bei der wirklich großen Auswahl. Haben uns aber doch recht schnell für eine Vor- und eine Hauptspeise entschieden. Da wir beim Hauptgericht unterschiedlich bestellt haben, konnten wir auch beim anderen mal probieren. Es war sehr sehr gut und wir werden sehr gerne wieder kommen.

Nette türkische Küche. Preise sind Fair, das Essen lecker und das Ambiente passt. Etwas irritierend ist es, dass die Salatbar als Kühlung genutzt wird, an der das Personal ständig Dinge für Bestellungen holt. Einziger Kritikpunkt beim Essen bisher war, dass das geröstete Fladenbrot mit Joghurtsauce nicht mit sondern in der Sauce serviert wurde - das ist dann natürlich Matsche und nach kurzer Zeit nicht mehr Lecker. Alles andere war immer Top!

I chose the Side restaurant because of its numerous positive reviews and drove for over an hour to celebrate my grandmother's birthday there. Despite the long journey and the special occasion, we were turned away immediately because we didn't have a reservation. Even after waiting for over 20 minutes, no solution was offered. For a restaurant with this reputation, I would have expected significantly more hospitality and flexibility. Unfortunately, our impression was that walk-ins are simply not welcome. As a result, our visit was a complete disappointment.

Friendly service, delicious food at reasonable prices

I went there for dinner with my wife today, and the salad was absolutely fantastic! I've rarely eaten such a delicious and fresh salad! I ordered a mixed grill, the food arrived quickly, and the meat was piping hot. Not warm or lukewarm, no, piping hot, fresh off the grill. The staff was nice and friendly. Unfortunately, I can only give it four 5-star ratings. Back in the days of "DALLI DALLI," there would have been an extra star: "That was TOP-NOTCH!" ;-) Best regards from Essen, Thomas

Lamb on a skewer, cut into perfectly uniform cubes, but unfortunately tasteless. Classic mass-produced food. And that's exactly how it tasted. The appetizers were okay, but nothing special.

I went there with a friend. Overall, it was a really lovely evening. We had plenty to talk about. The atmosphere was cozy, the noise level was pleasant, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. We'd love to come back!

Everyone will definitely find something to eat here. The menu is varied and the prices are perfectly reasonable. We were there during the week and it was quite busy. The food arrived quickly, but the service for ordering more drinks was a bit slow. However, I can still highly recommend it.

Yesterday, we all went to Restaurant Side for the first time. I had reserved a table for six and called at the last minute to ask if a highchair was available. The lady on the phone was very friendly and arranged for the highchair I needed for my granddaughter. We received a warm welcome. The drinks were served quickly (perhaps they should distinguish between beer and shandy next time 😁😉). Then everyone received a complimentary pastry roll. The starter salad was fresh and delicious. The food arrived promptly and exactly as we had ordered it (e.g., fries instead of rice). All in all, we were all very satisfied. Even when we each asked for a separate check at the end, it wasn't a problem at all. And to top it all off, we were offered complimentary tea or raki. We had a wonderful evening and are already planning another visit.

I was guided by the Google reviews, and our spontaneous visit far exceeded everything! I've rarely eaten so well. There were two of us, and we ordered the 5-course menu for two people. The starter came with warm bread (unfortunately, the bread baskets that followed were cold). After the delicious lentil soup, all sorts of antipasti and creams were served. The young waiter was very attentive. But there was soooo much! After a long break, we came to the main course. What can I say? Everything—absolutely everything—was cooked to perfection. The meat was super juicy and super tender. As a sauce fetishist, I didn't even have to look for it. It simply wasn't necessary! My friend unfortunately had to give up and had to have the rest packed up. The dessert was also delicious—but it was a real struggle to swallow. I'd love to go back—but a third to half less of the starter would have been perfectly sufficient! The whole thing was incredibly delicious! Thank you so much!!!

Very friendly staff, food was very good

Unfortunately, our taste was not met, but then again, tastes differ and everyone should form their own opinion. Everything was made with fresh ingredients and served promptly, but ultimately we were not convinced. We had the Meze Menu 1 for 2 people. It was not our idea of ​​Turkish cuisine. The dishes were relatively unseasoned and inconsequential, with no acidity, spice, or heat. The best part - on the house - were the delicious börek. The 16 meze were simply placed in front of us, and no one explained which of the numerous meze they were. The cold meze were served on one plate. The service was attentive but unfortunately nothing more. Based on the good reviews, we had expected a lot more. Including drinks, we paid 80 euros. Actually, it was perfectly fine, but for us, given the food, service, and ambience, it was too little for a next visit.

Anyone coming from Anatolia should never come here. If someone gives us what they call Adana kebab, we will lynch them. It was that bad. Avoid, don't come.

Incredible value for money: We ordered the multi-course menu for two (approx. €35 per person) and treated ourselves to plenty of beer and other drinks. The starter was the lentil soup Merçimek Çorbasi, salad, and various mezedes for bread, a main course with a mixed grill, and a dessert of ice cream with baklava. We were practically stuffed after the starters, but we spent a good five hours in a cozy atmosphere and were generally well served. However, we only learned upon arrival at the door that EC payment wasn't possible (broken), so we had to postpone the reservation by 30 minutes, and I even had to make the inconvenient trip to the bank to withdraw money. The food was good. The quantity was incredibly generous, and we had enough to take home to make two more meals. Unfortunately, the wine list left a lot to be desired; many things were missing. Overall: We'd gladly go back!

Super delicious here at this long-established restaurant in Bochum-Linden. The staff is friendly and attentive! Authentic Turkish cuisine. In summer, you can sit outside in the beer garden and enjoy. We look forward to our next visit.

Coming originally from Hattingen and now living for 42 years in Ireland my cousin invited us and made a reservation. It was my first time in a Turkish Restaurant (rather than the usual take ways) and I enjoyed it. Al dishes were tasty, where of good portions, were well presented and the service was friendly. While I did not pay the bill, I did notice the prices and the food was well worth the money charged. A place which I will frequent when I am back for a visit in Hattingen.

While searching for a reliable, clean, and delicious place to eat during my visit to Germany, I chose this restaurant based on reviews and had a truly wonderful experience. The delicious food, the ambiance, the commitment to hygiene, and especially the warm welcome of the owner and staff made me very happy. It's a great privilege to feel like you're back home, even when you're abroad. That's exactly what I experienced at this restaurant. The tea served after dinner, in particular, truly brought home the sense of hospitality in Turkey. The atmosphere was natural, peaceful, and welcoming, as if I'd visited a restaurant in my own neighborhood. I would like to make one small suggestion: The lentil soup was delicious, but the amount of cumin was a bit too much. A little less cumin would make the soup truly perfect. My overall assessment: ✅ Cleanliness and hygiene: Very good ✅ Food taste: Excellent ✅ Ambiance: Warm and friendly ✅ Staff attention: Excellent ✅ For those visiting with an expatriate mindset: A true haven of peace I would like to thank the owner and the entire team wholeheartedly for this wonderful welcome. Side in Bochum reliably delivers really good food at more than fair prices. We've been there several times and have never been disappointed. The large garden area behind the house is particularly noteworthy. This is a real advantage, especially on hot summer days, as large awnings hang everywhere, allowing you to sit outside and relax even in the heat. The service is friendly, attentive, and fast, without being intrusive. The food arrives promptly, everything is freshly prepared, and attractively presented. The large meat platter was a real highlight. It was full of flavor, a real eye-catcher, and more than enough. Salads, side dishes, and dips round out the experience. The ambiance outside is very pleasant. Inside, they could improve things a bit with some new decor or a fresh look. It still feels like it did 15 years ago. Not bad, but with room for improvement. Conclusion: We're always happy to come back. If you're looking for good food at fair prices and value hospitality, this is the place for you. And it's best outside anyway.

It was once again very tasty and the service was great as always, prices were great.

A wedding reception was taking place in the beer garden. The restaurant was empty, even though several tables are usually occupied at lunchtime. It took a while for a waiter to notice us and bring the menu. But then it moved quickly. The food arrived in about 15 minutes, and the drinks were on the table. Everything was appetizingly presented and well-seasoned; only the meat skewers were dry as a bone. There's definitely room for improvement here. Others do a better job.

The food was simply superb, as always. Highly recommended, both in terms of taste and quantity. I'll be back again and again.

Unfortunately our visit was disappointing. The meat was completely unseasoned and tasted really bad. The rice was also disastrous. It's a shame, we were looking forward to a good meal.

Cozy Turkish restaurant with very friendly and attentive staff. The two of us shared a starter plate with four different starters. The house also provided two rolls of dough filled with sheep's cheese. The main course was diced lamb with white beans, ham and other vegetables. It was gratinated with cheese. Delicious. The other dish was diced chicken with bread and yogurt sauce. It was tasty too, but I found the other dish better. Each dish came with a delicious side salad. At the end we were allowed to choose between a free ouzo or tea.

Extremely overpriced. The food doesn't look professional and the meat isn't seasoned. Fries were very sticky. Supposedly “grilled” meat had no grill flavor whatsoever.

Unfortunately the bad lamb chop I ate

Unfortunately the waiters weren't really attentive. Instead of Cola zero, normal Cola was served, the wrong side dishes were served with the dishes and requests were ignored, the "cocktails" were only 200ml instead of 400ml. Unfortunately we were more disappointed than convinced and cannot recommend it, even if the food that was served was delicious.

For today's visit and the recession, I'm referring exclusively to the boss and his behavior towards me. As a drink I have a long drink Selected. According to the menu, you can't beat the price/performance ratio. 0.4 l for €4.80 see photo. I ordered and then received 0.2 l for €4.80. I brought this to the boss's attention and he came with another card with a handwritten 0.4cl scribbled on it in ballpoint pen. You are a scammer! And your false pride ensures that you cannot see your mistakes. Sad, especially that he gave me someone else Bring card when I had it at the table. I have attached the screenshot of the menu online as proof for everyone. Conclusion. Go kid yourself!

Good value for money! Very extensive menu, friendly staff, well prepared food, no long waiting times. Good connections with public transport.

Definitely recommend this restaurant! On the one hand, you have to say clearly that everything we have tried so far has tasted very good and on the other hand, you can definitely speak of above-average portions! So far we have always had very friendly service staff and requests have always been taken into account. Always happy to come back. The decor is a little old, but it is very clean and always cleaned thoroughly when guests leave. Especially when parents don't pay attention to their children and let everything go to waste. 😂 Last time it was very impressive how thoroughly the table, bench and floor were cleaned.

After hearing for years how great Side is, we wanted to eat there. Everything went well with the reservation. The restaurant is beautifully designed inside. Unfortunately, that's almost the only positive thing I can say. The lady who served us looked unfriendly and was so. She couldn't explain anything about the card and didn't feel like doing so. We each wanted a small mixed starter plate with 4 starters and she said very condescendingly that that was far too much for one person, which couldn't really be the case given the price of 8.50. She also wasn't able to tell me if I could have fries instead of rice. So we just took an appetizer plate. There were 4 creams and 2x something with tomato and bread. Everything was delicious. But everyone could have eaten for themselves. It worked at other tables too. My partner's main course - lamb - was very tasty. I ordered saddle of veal baked with vegetables and cheese. The meat was very tender but completely unseasoned. Not even salt or pepper on it. The “vegetables” were onions, canned mushrooms and jarred peppers. In my opinion it doesn't work at all. The wine sauce was watery but ok. The biggest cheek, however, was the statement that the meat was gratinated with cheese. At best there were 3 strings of cheese on it. This has nothing to do with over-baking. The fries didn't taste good at all, I sometimes had the impression that they had been in the deep fryer several times. In addition to the food, it was annoying that waitresses came into the small area every 10 seconds to look over the tables. I found this very annoying and often unnecessary. Every time with a long face. I haven't seen a friendly face the whole time. Not even when paying. Hardly anyone could be understood because the mumbled was extremely quiet. Unfortunately, I can't think of anything good about the food as a whole and especially not about the "service staff".

The atmosphere is nice, but: my girlfriend ordered a long drink (Campari Orange), which was supposed to be 0.4 l. A 4cl mini glass came with 3 large ice cubes in it. After I told the waiter that it was never 0.4 l, he said it was probably a typo on the menu 🤨 Which long drink has 4cl?! He said no, not 0.4 l, how big should the long drink be? Every long drink is a larger tall glass, I've never seen a long drink like this, 4cl with 3 large ice cubes, so basically almost nothing to drink. Well, I definitely didn't think that was right. I told the restaurant they need to change their menu. The food was ok, we had Adana kebab and lentil soup.

A really great Turkish resto! Man feels like he's in the side! Great service, food was good, portions were quite small and prices weren't super cheap but ok. There was a ter on the house and a delicious greeting from the kitchen at the beginning and at the end. All in all a really great resto and we'll be back!

Adana Kebab was very tasty and super juicy, the best I have eaten abroad. Friendly staff and cozy atmosphere.

I can only give this one star! We had reserved a table here for December 24th, 2024 and received a confirmation by email. On December 24th We then stood in front of a locked door at 6 p.m. I think it's unnecessary to say that you can't spontaneously get a table anywhere else on Christmas Eve! As a result, Christmas Eve was canceled for us. The next day my mother asked why it wasn't open. She was then told that there had been no reservation at all. Although there is evidence of confirmation by email. Not a word of apology. And on a day like this. When we asked about the reservation platform, we were told that the restaurant operator had clearly confirmed the appointment. The fault clearly lies with the restaurant! Still not a word of apology - emails are simply not responded to. Very unfriendly to customers, just very unfriendly. Also towards my almost 80 year old mother. We'll never eat here again.

Went there for the first time yesterday and received a very warm welcome. The restaurant was full - but the very friendly service staff took the time to explain the dishes. The service was very attentive and friendly all the time. The dishes were very tasty and completely sufficient. We agreed (4 people) that we would come here more often.
