We go out to eat very often. We wanted to enjoy a nice evening at Side (50th birthday)! We were there 20 years ago and one of us was even a regular guest. We had lost sight of it when we moved and now we wanted to discover it again when we returned to Bochum. A table for 4 was reserved by phone. It was 30 C outside and rain was forecast. We would have liked to sit inside, but the waiter told us that inside was closed. I would have liked to have been informed when booking. The order was taken without a smile, even though all 4 of us ordered nicely with smiles. Questions about the dishes were answered unfriendly. Then a strong wind picked up, sending leaves flying into our drinks and appetizers. Our hair and clothes were full of dried flowers. All the other tables had already finished their main course. We asked several times if we could go in. We were only able to get in when the rain started. Inside we were served by an even more unfriendly waiter. The food wasn't good. Dry, tasteless meat, limp fries and about 15 flies at our table. We weren't noticed at all during the meal. Ordering drinks is therefore impossible. We left immediately after paying. Never again!!!!! For the first time in my life I didn't tip. P. S. The prices on the homepage are not correct. My dish was €5 more expensive.

We were there for the first time today. Very nice outdoor area. We really enjoyed the food, good service. There were only discrepancies when paying because of the voucher book, but they were quickly resolved. We will definitely come back again!

Nice restaurant. Large beer garden. Also sat outside in the summer. Prices are manageable, but I have to give some tips. Please place the 4 different sauces (meze) individually in a separate bowl. Everything came on a plate. Unfortunately the flatbread wasn't fresh either. Cold and old. The meat tasted like nothing. Absolutely no grilled taste. This is not a grill (Izgara) if you judge by taste. Drinks Cola Fanta and Co are poured from liter bottles into glasses. A pity. Please get real drinks. Some drinks are diluted with Lidl mineral water. So either lower the price if you do that or have real drinks delivered. That doesn't work. Mostly German guests. You could get a lot more out of the garden. I wouldn't come again.

Went there briefly in the evening and took a drink with us. According to the advertisement, 2.80. I was charged 4.00 euros. The kitchen was closed at 10 p.m. I would have liked to test the store, but not if I'm going to be so messed up.

Went there by chance and ordered a starter and a dish for 2 people and a dessert. All in all, it was filling, tasty and flavorful. The service was very attentive and courteous. Would definitely come back.

We “had to” eat in the beer garden. It was Friday and very well attended. We ordered the SIDE grill plate. My wife had bread and yogurt garlic sauce and I had fries and yogurt garlic sauce. Everything was very tasty, especially the small salad. One complaint would be that the bread was basically in the sauce and therefore nothing was crispy anymore. The waitress said next time you would like to have the sauce extra. The amount of grilled plates was enough for us, but we are older people, so there could have been a little more. There was very little kebab meat on the plate. Conclusion beer garden, food, service top.

We enjoyed the food very much, the portions were very generous and the price-performance ratio was perfect. We were served quickly, service was very attentive. At the end there was tea on the house. Nicely furnished and large outdoor area, would love to come back.

Delicious Turkish cuisine with a wide variety of dishes. Friendly staff. However, parking spaces are in short supply.

We often go out to eat regularly, in different restaurants of different nationalities...whether Turkish, Greek, Italian or Spanish cuisine. The decisive factor was the online menu that fish was offered. When we arrived, we were quickly assigned a table, unfortunately it took a while until someone came and realized that there was no fish on the menu! That's absolutely not possible, you can't offer a fish menu online and on site we get the message...it's no longer worth it. What we ate was okay, but we don't need it again. There are better...

It was the best Turkish food I have ever eaten. We went there for the first time with the voucher booklet and were thrilled! The service was very, very polite and nice. Furnishings are rustic but authentic. We felt like we were on vacation. We will definitely come back and can recommend it to everyone with a clear conscience.

I've eaten Turkish food several times. And I also had the opportunity to eat traditional Turkish food through many Turkish friends. That's why I would like to say that the quality of the food is good and the taste is OK. But for what I get it's too expensive and the ambience reminds me of a good "chip shop" (that's not meant in a bad way) but unfortunately the service doesn't suit me and I won't be coming back.

The only place to go for dinner in this region. First of all, the atmosphere and lighting are great. There is no problem with the service. All employees are very attentive to each table. Food is a complete Turkish culture. Appetizers are fresh and delicious. We will definitely come again and recommend.

We ate there for the first time yesterday with Schlemmerblock. The food was averagely good. Not greasy. Whether you want to or not, when you take part in the Schlemnerblock you shouldn't try to rip people off. You can see it in the photo. It doesn't work at all.

Average Turkish cuisine, not greasy, food tasty, portions okay. Staff is like that, unfortunately one woman obviously didn't have her best day, the others were very nice. Toilet is very clean, but more of an 80s style. Overall okay, but it doesn't have to happen again for us.

Great cuisine, the food never disappoints. In summer you can sit comfortably outside, there are four parking spaces on site, otherwise you have to see what parking options you can find on the street. No long waiting times and friendly service.

The Kulinaris card was accepted during the visit; Unfortunately, this meant that every little thing was added to the bill: in addition to the bowl of extra rice and the garlic sauce, there was even the traditional Turkish tea in small glasses. Oriental hospitality usually looks a little different. The portions were also rather small and tasted mediocre. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't convincing either. Some of the grilled meat was quite tough, although it looked visually appealing. Few parking spaces indicate parking space in the area. A mixed experience. We won't be coming back. A pity!

A restaurant that I have known for about 30 years. Time stopped there. On the one hand, that's nice because the quality of the food has remained just as good as the friendly service, but on the other hand, it's not so nice because, for example, the ambience with the wall arches really needs a refresh. There has also been nothing new on the menu since my first visit. Apart from the prices, nothing has changed. If I knew that there was a small, changing special menu, that would be a reason for me to go back more often. But that's how it remains with the well-known favorite food (chicken grill skewer), every now and then. And it still tastes great :). Starters also delicious, e.g. Antep Ezmesi, spicy paste.

I wanted to eat there today with my girlfriend and two children, when we arrived there were 2 waitresses in front of the door smoking. When I went in I asked if you had to make a reservation here or if you could just go and eat because there was nothing helpful about it on the internet found. Both waitresses looked at each other and neither gave an answer, after a moment's hesitation they said they had to go check. (As if you've only been working there since today) We followed the lady and she told us we could sit there for 2 hours if we ordered something quickly, which we did. And we ordered something well and reordered again and again. Exactly after 1 and 45 minutes the lady stood at our table and asked if she could settle the bill. And even if more guests had come, there were enough tables available. For us it was the first and last visit there, apart from the unfriendly staff, the ambience and the food were not worth mentioning. There are much better restaurants there.

Wir sind als Familie vor drei Stunden im Side essen gewesen. Wir hatten Vorspeise und drei verschiedene Gerichte. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr bemüht und freundlich. Fachlich aber leider nicht qualifiziert.Wir hatten Vorspeise und drei verschiedene Gerichte. Das Essen und auch die Getränke kamen sehr schnell. Flasche Wein einfach auf den Tisch gestellt, ohne Probe.Das Hauptgericht kam ohne das die Vorspeise abgeräumt wurde.Geht eigentlich nicht.Das Hauptgericht war nicht so gute Qualität, der Reis wurde von uns ausgetauscht.Brot mit Joghurt Knoblauchsosse.Eine Pampe.Tut uns leid, auch der Salat war in Sosse ertränkt.Wer es mag. Wir wurden nach Tee oder Raki gefragt, dass war sehr nett,konnte aber alles nicht mehr rauslassen.Preiss und Leistung stimmen nicht überein. Schade

Ein tolles echtes türkisches Restaurant. Hier gibt es leckere Backofengerichte und andere frische Tellergerichte. Der Salat ist ein Traum. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und die Chefin begrüßt alle persönlich!

Es war ein schöner Abend, das Essen war lecker, das Personal war hervorragend. Eines hat niemand an unserem Tisch verstanden. Laut Karte kosten Pommes oder Reis gleich viel. Ersetzt man aber Pommes durch Reis, wird ein Esslöffel voll Gemüse, wenn es zum Gericht gehört, gestrichen.

Wir sind dort nachmittags eingekehrt. Wir waren mit die einzigen Gäste. Der Service war schnell und freundlich und das Essen kam schnell. Die Portionen sind gut und die Preise fair! Das Ambiente ist ok.

Wir waren zum Essen eingeladen, mit Geduld und etwas Glück findet man einen Parkplatz. Die Karte ist sehr umfangreich, was uns die Entscheidung nicht leicht gemacht hat. Hilfreicher war auch nicht die Bedienung , die bereits nach 5 Minuten die Bestellung aufnehmen wollte und dann im selben Takt immer wieder erschien. Alkoholfreies Radler wird zum selber mischen gebracht. Kann man machen, dann bitte aber aus 2 Flaschen zum mischen und nicht mit einem Glas Sprite. Die Vorspeise war bis zur Unkenntlichkeit in Joghurt ertränkt, das Fladenbrot dazu zäh. Das Hauptgericht war sehr stark mit Knoblauch und Minze gewürzt, mein Flesch war gut gegrillt von anderen habe ich allerdings auch hier gehört, dass es teilweise zäh war. Die Portionsgrößen sind leider sehr klein für die aufgerufenen Preise. Vier von acht Leuten fanden es nicht lecker, zudem war der Tisch für die gebuchte Personenzahl viel zu klein. Leider insgesamt enttäuschend!

Es fehlt an Frische und Raffinesse, was das Gesamterlebnis beeinträchtigt. Verbesserungen in der Zubereitung und Auswahl der Zutaten könnten die kulinarische Erfahrung erheblich steigern. Ja

Türkisches Essen auf hohen Niveau, seit über 25 Jahren existiert dieses wirklich einwandfrei gut organisierte türkische Restaurant Side in Bochum ,nach längerer Zeit (da ich aus Dortmund komme ) war ich wieder mal mit meiner Frau dort essen. Absolute Spitzenklasse ,das Fleisch zart und saftig, exzellent gegrillte Spezialitäten, der Salat vorweg war absolut identisch mit der türkischen Küche, der so fein geschnittenen Salat ist ein Gedicht und das leckere Joghurt Dressing „Hausgemacht“umschließt den Salat in Perfektion. Das sehr aufmerksames Personal rundete den Besuch ab.. Ich könnte noch viel mehr schwärmen, ich sage: Tisch reservieren und ausprobieren! Danke liebes Team

Абсолютно не разделяю хорошие отзывы об этом заведении. Мы пришли поужинать в воскресенье, ждали с момента заказа около часа и получили невкусную и жирную еду - немного мяса и пол тарелки хлеба в соусе из йогурта, дети просто не стали кушать, вместо Dönerfleisch получили жирнейшие кусочки жареного мяса. Заказали яблочный сок и несколько раз говорили официанту, что наш сын не пьет газированные напитки и дважды нам принесли Apfelschorle. Дама, которая нас обслуживала была абсолютно не приветливой. Итог- не рекомендую.
